Indie animation is not a competition. It should never be that. End of the story. You can't compare this to sports. Especially when it takes time. And for the record this is hh/hb account but this goes everyone.

I thought the whole point of indie animation was so that you don't have to live in fear of cancellation by a network and-
can get shit done in your own time
no one would want to start their projects or they would come in with heigh expectations if the standard is 50 mil within one week
