"Hello?"
"Hello?"

"Hello?"

“Hey...I’m downstairs.”

“Okay, wait for me. I’ll be right down.”

"Hello?"

“Hey,” Seungcheol says, hair blowing in the gentle breeze.

“Hey you.” You reply quietly, walking over to take a seat on the bench next to him.

He sees your mildly red eyes and frowns, upset. “I’m sorry.”

Your head jerks up at that. “What?” You ask incredulously. “Why are you apologising? You didn’t do anything wrong.”

“For running off like that.” He sighs. “I must have made you upset.”

“I get it, Cheol.” You place a hand on his. “I get why you misunderstood and I’m sorry for that too-”

“No, no! Don’t be sorry! You didn’t know. And I figured I was overreacting because you didn’t feel the-” He stops himself, embarrassed.

“What did you say?” You ask, eyes wide.

“N-nothing!”

“No, tell me. What were you going to say?” You insist.

“I..I mean I like you a lot and I was jealous so that’s why I overreacted! And I know you maybe don’t feel the same so you got confused about why I was so angry and I swear I didn’t want to tell you this way-” He puts his head in his hands.

“Seungcheol-”

“And you can ignore me for the rest of my life! I won’t be mad and I’m literally so sorry you have to hear this-”

“Seungcheol!” You take his shoulders to make him look at you.

“H-huh?”

“Seungcheol… who told you that… I don’t feel the same?” You ask, trying not to smile at his utterly bewildered expression.

“What?”

“I’m not sure if anyone’s told you, and by that I mean Han or Gyu,” you continue, slightly smiling now. “I don’t go out with people I’m not interested in.”

“You-”

“I can literally show you my texts with Han,” you say, shrugging. “I called you the cute library boy at the start, and I freaked out after we had breakfast the other day.”

"But-"

"And the bouquet you got me," You carry on, "The flowers are still alive and just as pretty. I ordered a vase for them, and it came late so I was so worried they were gonna wilt before I got it. I arranged it really nicely, you know."

He blushes at the mention of the flowers, and you laugh at how red his ears have gone. “…Same. The freaking out, I mean,” he admits shyly. “Minghao blocked me after that and didn’t talk to me because I wouldn’t shut up.”

“You’re cute!” You let out a giggle, and reach out to pinch his beetroot-coloured cheeks.

“Stop it,” He pouts. “I still got the wrong idea and it was silly of me not to just ask.”

“Don’t be silly.” You wave his apology off. “I made you misunderstand. So we're even. We were just both being idiots.”

“I’m your idiot.” He suddenly says, and as if it was even possible, you swear he blushes even more. But before he can retract what he said, you nod confidently, reaching out to hug him. He immediately pulls you in, rocking you back and forth and smoothing out your hair.

“Yep,” you say, arms wrapping around his middle. “You’re my idiot. I’m your idiot, too. If we’re both going to be idiots, we may as well be together.”

“So let’s get together,” he says as he suddenly pulls away, eyes wide, in a sudden burst of confidence. A couple days from now, he will scream into his pillow in embarrassment upon recollection. But for now, his smile is so wide it’s hurting his cheeks.

He leans forward, his grin now turning a bit cheeky.

“I hope you have no objections?”

The smile and accompanying nod you give in return is so bright, it beats any sun and moon and gold and promise he’s ever seen.

The sound of your laughter carries on as you launch yourself into his awaiting arms. His eyes squeeze shut as he entwines himself around you, soaking in the bliss and the joy that is you both, together.

"Hello?"

Seungcheol's sitting down at his desk. He just made sure you got into the building safely before he trekked back to his own.

The inspiration for his song hits him as soon as remembers the look on your face. The lyrics he pens down in his notebook flow through him like water, so easily and so smoothly it's like he always knew it in the back of his head and in his heart.

But he didn't, actually, not until now. But he knows he'll never forget.

"Hello?"

The flowers look a little more vibrant to you. Alive, breathing, just being, even as they sit in your vase that came late. You never knew flowers could look this beautiful.

Maybe the magic had a little to do with the sender.

You snap a photo of the flowers again for memory's sake, their shadows dancing against the wall in your darkened room. When you look at the photo, they're beautiful, but they're not the same as the ones you're seeing. You laugh out in relief and joy, and lay back on your bed, eyes already closing from the excitement of tonight.

It's okay if you didn't see it in the photo. You didn't need a photo to remember it, anyway. You'd never forget.

"Hello?"

bonus: after they get home!

많고 많은 사람 중에 너를 만나서

Meeting you among thousands of people

행복하고 싶어 두 번 다시 울지 않을래

Makes me want to be happy, I wish I won’t cry again

Shiny Star / Choi Seungcheol

The first time Seungcheol sees you, you’re crying in front of Professor Jung’s office.

It’s not an unusual sight, if he’s being honest. Being Professor Han’s TA whose office is right beside Professor Jung’s, Seungcheol is used to seeing students crying after a session because Professor Jung is just unreasonably strict with his grade and assignment. He’d be surprised if anyone came out of his office with a grin on their face.

If he’s to be frank, he doesn’t understand how come no one has reported the professor to the higher ups. Isn’t this some kind of abuse? But, then again, maybe they simply don’t care because Professor Jung is one of the smartest people in the entire campus and he’s achieved a lot for the university.

Anyway, despite the usual occurrence, Seungcheol feels particularly bad that day seeing a student cry like that. You’re probably a junior, too. He thinks it’s the way you’re trying hard to swallow your sob as you cover your face in the otherwise empty hallway, like you can’t help crying even though you don’t want to. He’s usually the type of person to mind his own business, but your hiccups tug something in his consciousness (heart?) that he feels the need to reenter Professor Han’s office just to get some tissue for you.

You look up when you feel another presence in front of you, and you don’t even have it in you to feel embarrassed because it’s already too late at that point. You probably look like a mess, but the guy simply gives you a small smile and offers you some tissues.

“No problem, I was his student too,” he says when you thank him. “I know he can be a bit difficult–”

He chuckles at your pointed look, your red eyes unbelieving. “Okay, not a bit. He’s very difficult; but his class is worth it, I promise.”

“I know.” Your voice is very soft, Seungcheol decides, and he’s not talking about the volume of your voice. There’s just something comforting about it even though you’ve just finished crying. “It just… frustrates me because I thought I’d ace this particular assignment, but I got a B minus.”

Seungcheol blinks at your words, a B minus and you’re crying…? He passed with a C and he celebrated. Do you even know the average score of Professor Jung’s class? Did you… go to his office and ask about your score? At least you didn’t sound uptight.

But he holds back the judgement before he goes too far, maybe you’re one of those straight A’s students that holds academic scores above your head (which is cool, he’s always wondered how some people can take academics that seriously).

Whatever it is, it’s not his place to judge. You’re not saying it in a condescending way too. You sound genuinely upset and he’s here to comfort some poor student because it’s one of those impulsive days, not judge them.

“It’s pretty good for Professor Jung’s class. You know how strict he is with his grade,” he says anyway, hoping that his tone wouldn’t sound mocking. “And, hey, you can always ask for an extra assignment if you think you need it?”

You sigh, exhaling a deep breath and wiping the last of your tears before you offer him a small smile. “Yeah. This would sound annoying but… I just… I don’t actually know how to deal with bad grades. I’ve never gotten a B too, even for an assignment, and I know my GPA would still be pretty good as long as I ace the exams but…”

“Anyway,” you shake your head suddenly, your smile more genuine than earlier that Seungcheol catches himself staring. “I’m sorry for unloading on you. And… uh… thank you for listening.”

You’re already long gone when Seungcheol realizes he didn’t ask for your name.

Shiny Star / Choi Seungcheol

Seungcheol curses as he gets out of his class, starting to wonder if taking Masters is even worth it. (Of course it is, he’s just in a whiny mood today.) Being a postgraduate student can be very tiring at times; yes, he doesn’t have classes everyday and he’s mostly on campus because of his TA works.

But, with that in mind, it means his class would go for three hours when he does have a schedule. He should’ve listened to Jisoo and took a job in her dad’s company instead of doing post-grad, but Joshua Hong and Yoon Jeonghan just had to rile him up and now he’s here out of spite to prove them wrong.

So much for being an adult.

It’s fifteen minutes past lunch time already and he’s sure the cafetaria is way too crowded if he wants a quick lunch. Perhaps going to the convenience store just outside the campus gate would be better. Also, Hanbin, his fellow TA, isn’t on campus today and he’s much too annoyed to deal with rowdy freshmen without his friend.

Much to his luck, the convenience store is pretty empty today considering it’s lunch time. There’s still a line in front of the cashier, but nothing he can’t handle. The few tables outside are filled with who he assumed to be students too (He thinks he recognizes one of them; Boo Seungkwan, was it?), but it’s too hot outside and he’d rather sit inside with the air conditioner system blasted on.

Hmm. Maybe he should get some fruit soda too now that he’s here. He’s been craving for something sweet anyway.

“Oh, hi!” The cashier greets him with a wave before he starts scanning his items. “Long time no see. Is this all?”

“Hi Bam.” Seungcheol grins at the younger guy. He used to mentor Bambam a few semesters back, and he’s pretty sure he’s only seen the tall guy pass by the corridor from time to time since then. “Didn’t know you work here. And, yeah, that should be all.”

They talk for a bit after that because there’s no one else behind him on the line, and it’s only when another customer comes in five minutes later that Seungcheol excuses himself to find a seat. The table by the window is already full, so he figures he should walk to the back and see if there’s any free seat inside.

He presses his lips together when he notices one of the tables is broken, the other occupied by a couple, and the last one by a girl whose face he can’t even see because she’s slumped forward. He never minds sharing a table, but will the girl think he’s some kinda creepy flirt if he tries to take a seat?

He’s about to just leave when she sits up and takes a deep breath, realization colors his face. It’s you. Your eyes find his too, and it’s your small smile and your small nod of acknowledgement that encourage him to make his way to you.

“Mind if I sit here? Everywhere else is full,” he asks just in case, thanking you when you tell him he’s free to do so.

It’s silent for a bit after that; you with your own thoughts, and Seungcheol simply glad that he doesn’t have to walk back to uni to eat some kimbap and drink some soda. And it’s when you sigh again that he asks if you’re okay.

“I make a good listener, if you remember,” he jokes, which makes you laugh a little in return.

“Just… one of those days.” You scrunch your nose before sipping on your lemonade, and it’s only then that he realizes you have a drink in front of you. Of course, you wouldn’t just be here chilling without buying anything. “You’re Professor Han’s TA, right? I’ve seen you around with Hanbin.”

He accepts the change of topic, perhaps you simply don’t want to talk about whatever it is bothering you. He is a stranger, after all.

“Yep,” he nods, munching some more before it dawns on him. “You know Hanbin?”

“He’s friends with Taehyung.”

“You know Taehyung?” Seungcheol blinks, not expecting his usual groupmate to be friends with you. Is he ignorant or he simply never sees you with him? But, then again, he doesn’t really hang out with the guy outside class, either.

“He’s my neighbor. My mom is close with his mom so he’s like an older brother to me, to be honest,” you shrug. “I’m actually here waiting for him, my class got cancelled and his won't end until… an hour from now.”

He laughs when he sees you sigh after checking your watch, and then proceeds to talk about Taehyung because that’s the only mutual ground you have with him at that point.

“Why are you waiting for him though? Going somewhere?”

“Oh, he takes me home, usually,” you suddenly avert your eyes to avoid his, looking embarrassed when you continue, hesitation colors your tone before you say your next words. “Because our house is actually an hour away from uni and I’m… uh, not familiar with public transportation because my parents don’t allow me to go anywhere by myself.”

You’ve expected Seungcheol to snort or mock you with the mask of joking, but he simply hums as he nods, still focused on his food like your words don’t weird him out. You know people see you like you’re some kind of princess because of that, even more because it’s Taehyung, of all people; the guy has girls (and guys) lining up for confession, and he brushes them off because he needs to cater for you first.

You always wonder why they can’t see that Taehyung simply takes care of you because it’s already a habit for him at this point. You practically grew up together, and you always cringe at the thought that people mistake you both for a couple. He’s basically a sibling–you really don’t need that image in your head.

“Taehyung must’ve really treasured you then. He’s very impatient with us during group assignments.” He grins after you say Taehyung waits up for you a lot, and tells you about how your brother lashed out once during Philosophy class because they were fooling around instead of getting right into it.

“Sounds like him.” You chuckle despite the doubt in your heart. It’s way too good to be true that someone isn’t judging you from what you’ve just said. Did this guy really just accept that you have Taehyung taking care of you to that extent? He must’ve grimaced on the inside at the very least, you wince at the thought. “I usually just tell people he’s my brother because that’s how he introduces me to people too.”

Seungcheol hums, squinting his eyes as he rakes his brain. “Oh, I think I remember Taehyung mentioning a sister a few times. I don’t think he’s ever mentioned your name, though?”

“Oh!” you exclaim, smiling sheepishly as you introduce yourself to him at last. Seungcheol waves his hand at your apology, assuring you it’s fine and tells you his name. Something seems to click in your mind, your lips turning into an ‘O’. “Oh? I think Tae mentioned you a few times too.”

Your conversation flows from there, and Seungcheol is pleased to know you’re into the same movies you’re into. He doesn’t even realize that his food is finished and it’s only when Taehyung’s familiar voice greets you both that you realize it's been an hour since you've both started talking.

"Oh?" His voice is confused, but is laced with warmth and it welcomes you nevertheless. "You… know each other?"

Your eyes meet Seungcheol's, and Taehyung is more than surprised to see you both sharing a knowing look before Seungcheol grins and you press your lips together to hide one. Apparently you two have an inside joke already.

Interesting.

"I didn't know he was friends with you," you say instead, and then gets up from your seat without really saying anything the moment Taehyung makes himself comfortable at the small table. Seungcheol quirks an eyebrow at that, and Taehyung helpfully informs that you're probably getting him bread or something.

"She's the sister you've mentioned before?" He makes sure, slurping the last of his drink.

"Yuppp." The younger guy nods, distracted, before taking a sip of your drink and grimaces at the taste. "Should've known she's drinking this again. That's basically sugar with water."

Seungcheol chuckles at that, but didn't get to comment on that because you've returned with some bread and some soda, placing them in front of Taehyung then proceeds to sit down next to him and just lays your head on his shoulder when he thanks you and pats your head.

He decides to keep his thoughts to himself as he watches you both; weirdly enough, you do look like a pair of siblings even though he's never seen siblings quite as affectionate as you two. Even if your cheek is pressed against Taehyung's shoulder and there's basically no space between your bodies, Seungcheol can tell that there's nothing romantic between the two of you. Whoever is accusing you of being romantically involved with his friend probably didn't even actually try to look or is too jealous to even care.

Wait.

Does Taehyung know you're having those problems?

He feels like it's not something that Taehyung wouldn't know–what, with his popularity and all that–but he doubts you're completely transparent about it.

Not that he actually knows if it's that bad. But by the looks of it, Seungcheol can imagine you really have no one but Taehyung if you went as far as waiting for him by yourself here instead of with other friends even though you knew he'd take at least an hour to be done.

Or maybe you enjoy your solitude.

Who knows? It's not his place to pry. He's spoken to you a total of two times anyway.

"Anyway. Did you finish that assignment? From Professor Jung?"

“Kinda. Just need to review it again and see if there’s anything I can revise.” You scrunch your nose in distaste. “I don’t even know why I took his class for electives.”

“I told you not to take it.” Taehyung snickers, and then turns to Seungcheol to make a point. “I told her the only person I know who’s passed his class with flying colors is Kim Jisoo, so she took the class to prove me wrong.”

Seungcheol blinks at that, not expecting you to be that kinda person though, really, he doesn’t have anything but groundless assumptions for now. He’s intrigued though, and he totally forgot Jisoo took that class because she did take it a semester early.

“Which reminds me, aren’t you close with her?” Taehyung continues, nudging his shoulder upwards to annoy you, to which you simply pinch his waist that gets Taehyung yelping before he stops real quick. “This nerd here would probably be kissing the ground you walk on if you get Jisoo to tutor her–or at least review her assignments.”

“Kim Taehyung!”

“What? It’s true–ouch, stop pinching me, woman! You’re so violent.”

“Then stop saying nonsense!”

“But you said–Ow! Stop!”

“Actually.” Seungcheol cuts the bickering even though it’s entertaining him to no end; as much as he knows Taehyung is friendly, he’s sure he’s never seen the guy this carefree before. Plus, there’s just something about you that pulls him in though he can’t exactly pinpoint what it exactly is. “Jisoo is looking for something to do. I think she mentioned her schedule is too empty because her internship wouldn’t start until next month. I know she’d be happy to tutor you for free if you want? She’s always liked tutoring. She doesn’t need the credits anymore.”

You gape at him, which Seungcheol doesn’t quite know how to translate; are you in disbelief or what? But he doesn’t really need to do that because Taehyung does it for him, shaking his head as he informs the guy that you’re malfunctioning.

“She has a crush on Jisoo, I think.”

“I told you to stop saying nonsense!” You snap out of it and smacks his shoulder so hard that Taehyung actually groans because it hurts. “I just admire her. She graduated undergrad as a valedictorian, no? And she’s so pretty and friendly. I’m sure she’ll graduate post grad with the highest GPA too.”

Seungcheol shares a look with his friend and nods. “Yeah. That’s a crush.”

You pout at him, not yet close enough to be able to smack him in the head like you would’ve with Taehyung. Seungcheol presses his lips together to mask a fond smile; what kind of person are you, really? He initially thought you’re just some straight A student who does nothing but study and doesn’t know how to have fun (yes, he was judgemental. But, come on, you were crying in front of Professor Jung’s office crying over a B minus on an assignment. At least you sounded nice enough, though), but after an hour with you and looking at you and Taehyung, he’s not so sure anymore.

“Okay, okay. I’ll stop.” He hears Taehyung say affectionately, catching the sight of the older guy messing with your hair before poking your cheek playfully. “But, will you ask her, Cheol?”

“Taehyung!”

Seungcheol shrugs with a smile, telling you once again that Jisoo would love tutoring you because that friend of his has always liked teaching other people (“Helps me with my patience,” she once told him.) and if you really want it, he’d even call her right this moment.

You don’t answer immediately, though the way you’re looking at him with wide eyes that seem to gleam with giddiness is enough answer for him already. How can a university student look like a kid in front of a toy store’s window?

He shakes his head with a laugh–how cuter can you be?–before taking out his phone and putting it on the table, dialing Jisoo’s number. The girl picks up at the second ring, a sassy ‘What?’ ringing through your little table.

“Jeez, you in a bad mood?” he retorts at her tone, and you hear Jisoo grumble before she asks once again what he’s calling her for. “Taehyung’s sister is taking Professor Jung’s class and needs a tutor. Do you think you can help?”

“Taehyung? Kim Taehyung?”

“Hi!” The guy in question chimes in, and Jisoo greets him back before saying she doesn’t know his sister attends their university. “Will tell you sometime. But yeah, she’s a nerd and I was talking to Cheol earlier and thought, why not?”

“Professor Jung, huh? Introduction to Philosophy?” you hear her faint voice from the phone, gripping Taehyung’s arm for some reason. Perhaps you do have a crush on her. “Who’s her name again?”

Seungcheol holds back a laugh when you bite down a squeal the moment Jisoo says ‘aha! I’ve heard of her! I think Professor Choi praised her a few times when I was her TA last year. She wasn’t my student though–Jongin’s I think?’. Taehyung looks at you pointedly when you bury your face into his shoulder, shaking his head as Jisoo starts talking instead about her last year as Professor Choi’s TA.

“Anyway! Yes, I’d love to tutor her. Just give me her number? Or give her mine, either way’s fine,” she closes the discussion before telling them she needs to hang up because someone else is calling. You’re practically hogging Taehyung’s arm the moment the call ends, both men looking at each other with amused grins.

“So you want her number, or…?” Seungcheol teases you, weirdly already comfortable enough to do so, laughing when you simply stare at him with eyes even wider than before. “Alright let me send it to you.”

It’s a second later that he realizes.

“Oh. I don’t have your number.”

So you quickly recite your number and Seungcheol texted you immediately, sending Jisoo’s contact to you with the name “Jichuuu👑”. You ask him about it, and he scrunches his nose before telling you that the girl has changed it herself and he’s too bothered to change it up until now even though he keeps on looking up “Jisoo” when he needs to call her and finding her contact nonexistent.

It’s later that night that you find yourself texting with Seungcheol. You meant to text Taehyung to ask about the new dessert shop near campus, but accidentally texted him because his text was on the very top after the exchange earlier–though Seungcheol happily supplied you with the information you needed nevertheless.

The conversation spiraled from there; because, apparently, even if your interests pretty much clash with each other’s, Seungcheol is happy to instead ask about those differences instead of questioning your taste.

Taehyung asks why you seem so sleepy when he picks you up the next morning, but you shake your head and simply tell him that you found something interesting last night that you ended up sleeping at 2 in the morning.

He does not need to know you spent all night talking to a certain Choi Seungcheol, heart giddy because you’ve found a new friend after so long.

Shiny Star / Choi Seungcheol

It’s been about two months since you started talking to Seungcheol and your relationship has upgraded to sending each other random memes at just about anytime. Taehyung doesn’t even ask why you’re giggling at your phone anymore, simply shakes his head when he sees you laughing because he’s accepted that his humor code differs from yours and Seungcheol’s.

He’s glad though, because it’s been so long since you’re this open to someone new. The last time was already about a year ago and he’s since been wary of people trying to befriend you because the last one simply did it thinking they could leech off your study.

It’s a fact that he considers you a sister, and he’s probably more protective of you than of his own siblings–but it’s because he knows they’re able to fend for themselves and they don’t need him to be that protective.

But you… You’re an only child, grown up in a protective bubble because your parents are weirdly strict except when it comes to him. Perhaps it helps that your parents and his have always been close; but there’s a reason why you’ve grown to be the person that you are: much too careful and much too afraid.

You’ve been told your whole life to be careful, to not make mistakes, and to always be mindful of what you show to people. It’s not something that Taehyung agrees on, and perhaps he’s at fault too because he, too, becomes too protective of you and that leaves you almost no place to do things on your own.

But he doesn’t have it in him to let you be.

Because he’s seen how cruel people can be to those they consider kind, and you’re easily the kindest person Taehyung has ever laid his eyes on. He doesn’t want you to be taken advantage of. He’s given the benefit of doubts to too many people throughout school, and you always end up feeling betrayed because they either get close to you because they want to be close to him, or they want you to help them with assignments.

He’s had enough.

But Seungcheol obviously doesn’t have those agendas and it's only now that he’s started to realize that, perhaps, he should’ve brought you to his circle instead. His friends would have no business asking for your academic assistance, and it’s pretty clear that he knows which ones are good enough to be close to you.

Then again, you’re often burdened by a group interaction.

“Kay, I need to go to the library now,” you tell him after getting out of the cafeteria, having just finished your late lunch. “Jisoo can’t tutor me this Friday so she asked to reschedule.”

“Oh?” He stops in his track and blinks, as if he’s just heard an information he deems questionable. “Did you tell me about this already?”

“Nope. I just okay-ed her this morning. Why?”

“I… have a date.”

It’s your turn to blink, a little confused. “And?”

“I won’t be able to take you home, kid.”

Your mouth turns into a small ‘o’ as his words sink in. It’s embarrassing, to be honest, that you’re someone in your 20s and have only ridden the bus by yourself for a total of three times. You find fun in riding them, and perhaps you do so simply because you don’t ride it often enough to think of it as a part of your daily life. That said, while you’re a little concerned that you’d need to suddenly go home by yourself, you’re also excited to finally be riding the bus on your own after so long.

“I can take the bus!” You shrug almost nonchalantly, but Taehyung knows you and you pout when he gives you a pointed look. “I’ll make sure of the route and not get lost again, I promise.”

“Alright,” He huffs and continues walking towards the library with you beside him. He can’t possibly cancel this date, because he has already done it two times already and he’s sure Hanbin would kill him if he asked to postpone once more. This is his cousin, after all, and Taehyung wouldn’t have gone to this date if he didn’t owe Hanbin for covering his closing shift twice in the cafe last month.

You wave your hand and tell him ‘bye’ once you arrive in the library, but Taehyung grasps your wrist and looks at you worriedly. “Call me when you’re going home? Maybe my date would be finished by then.”

“Tae, your movie starts in two hours and my session usually lasts that long too,” you remind him. He can be a little overbearing sometimes, but you understand that it’s out of the goodness of his heart and you’re honestly glad you have him as a friend. “I’ll be fine, I promise. I’ll share you my live location.”

It’s obvious that he’s not convinced, but he also knows you’ve always liked taking the bus by yourself, so he simply nods and tells you once again to at least text him once you’re done.

You greet Jisoo once you see her on your usual table, finding a couple on the other end of the table. You don’t mind them though, and apologize that you keep her waiting because Taehyung wouldn’t shut up.

“It’s fine. Sorry for the sudden notice,” she smiles kindly and you almost swoon at the sight of it. Gosh, Seungcheol would’ve teased you if he knew. He’s been teasing you about it for some time now, sending you memes  of lovestruck high school girls looking at ‘senpais’, as he likes to call it, captioning it ‘you @ jisoo’.

You bite down your lip at the sudden memory, a smile threatening to bloom on your face.

“Good day?” Jisoo asks, noticing your smile no matter how much you try to hide it. “You seem giddier these days.”

“Really?” You tilt your head in question. You? Giddy?

“Yup. It’s good to see though. You were so shy the first time we met,” she grins teasingly, and you can feel your ears getting warm because Seungcheol actually told you what Jisoo said about that first meeting.

She found you very cute, he’s said, and apparently she told him you’re adorable which he also successfully delivered to you a few weeks ago during lunch when Taehyung went to the restroom. You can still hear his laughter clear in your ears because you immediately went red after that.

The both of you start your study session after that, and Jisoo has kindly brought her old essay for you to use as a reference. You hold on to it like a holy grail, and the older girl simply laughs when you tell her you won’t let it wrinkle even the slightest bit.

You’re reading over a passage about Renaissance when your phone buzzes, Seungcheol’s name popping up in your notification. Jisoo looks at your phone placed between the two of you out of reflex, raising an eyebrow when she sees her friend’s name though she doesn’t comment on it.

Somehow, you don’t seem to realize Jisoo is watching you, and you also don’t realize the way she smirks openly when you bite your lip to hold back a grin as you type back a reply to her friend. Now that she thinks about it, hasn’t Seungcheol also been more attentive to his phone these days?

She doesn’t really see him a lot, but the few times she does meet him with the guys, it’s pretty clear that Seungcheol has been looking at his phone considerably more often than he used to. She didn’t think much of it, because she’s never been the kinda friend to confront little things like that. But this? She might be wrong, but it seems that he’s been getting comfortable with you and vice versa.

“Boyfriend?” She pretends to ask, almost laughing at the way you jump in your seat nervously. “I told you you seem very giddy these days.”

You tilt your head in question.

What? You? Giddy because of his texts?

You’re unsure why you’re not keen on disclosing that it’s Seungcheol you’re texting, so you shake your head and say instead, “Just a friend.”

“For now?” She teases just to see if you’d relent. But you simply smile and deny her with a wave of your hand, telling her it’s nothing like that. Jisoo is surprised to find your tone nothing sort of denial–almost like you actually believe that there’s nothing going on between you and her friend. Did she assume wrong? “Well, just know that you seem to… glow these days.”

Sending a shy grin towards her, you thank her in a whisper before going back to your study. As usual, you share small talk from time to time, because Jisoo deems just working for two hours straight can’t be effective if you don’t have small breaks in between (and, no, she doesn’t mean a few 10 minutes breaks. Just 2 or 3 minutes every now and then at most); and that’s how she found out you’d be going home alone today because Taehyung has a date.

She knows of your situation from Seungcheol, something that Taehyung has asked him to forward the gist of to Jisoo just in case. She doesn’t really get it, if she’s being completely honest, but she’s never one to judge others and has simply stored the information in mind for when it’s necessary. She considers offering to go home with you, but your places are in different directions and she’s promised her mom they’d have movie night later.

While it’s true that she’s not that close to you, she already sees why Taehyung (and Seungcheol) takes such good care of you. There’s just something about you that makes her want to coddle you, blanket you in layers and layers of bubblewrap to make sure you’re safe and sound.

Perhaps it’s you innocence, the way you dangerously trust people because you believe the good in them. Even though she doesn’t agree with the way Taehyung is protective over you because, considerably, it can be a little too much; she also understands why he does it.

But looking at you talk about how it’s been a long time since you go on a bus by yourself and you’re kinda excited for it, she softens at your childlike excitement, also glad that you seem to be comfortable enough to talk about this with her. She asks if you’re sure about the lines you’re supposed to take, and she feels the weight easening a little when you show her a screenshot of your bus route you’ve found off the internet.

Your phone buzzes again, and Jisoo doesn’t miss the way your eyes widen at the notification and how you take a deep breath before clicking something on your phone. She frowns in worry when she sees your face falls, and she can tell that you’re gritting your teeth in an attempt to calm down whatever’s bubbling up in your chest.

The question gets stuck in her throat, not wanting to seem like she’s prying and she feels like it’s not her comfort that you need. It turns out she doesn’t need to ask though, because you do it first by asking if you can cut the session short for the day because something came up and you need to go. You send her a forced smile when she asks if you’re okay, and you quickly tidy up your stuff before apologizing once again for the sudden turn of event.

Jisoo doesn’t even get to bid you goodbye because you’re already gone in a blink of an eye, her worried eyes following you out of the library until you go out of her vision.

Shiny Star / Choi Seungcheol

The second time Seungcheol sees you crying, you’re by yourself in a random bench behind the engineering building.

It’s a place people usually go to find peace, because, for some reason, the park behind the engineering building has been the designated place for students to just cry or zone out without anyone questioning anything.

He’s almost panting when he gets there, and you don’t even look up at the presence of another person–simply buries your face more into your palms as you try to contain your sob.

“Cheol, are you at the university? I’m a little worried…” Jisoo has said over the phone, telling him she was tutoring you when that happened, not forgetting to tell him you’d be going home by yourself today and that worries her even more after what she’s witnessed earlier. “I’m not sure where she went though. She didn’t tell me anything. But I don’t think she’s gone out of the university.”

This park wasn’t his first choice, quite obviously, hence his heavy breath after running here and there. But that’s not important, what’s important is you; crying by yourself like some kinda tragedy has befallen you.

It hurts, to be honest. The first time he hears you cry, it was just impulse that made him comfort you. But now, after knowing you and spending time with you, he really just wishes he can comfort you somehow no matter how.

Seungcheol decides he doesn’t like nor hear seeing you cry.

“Hey.” Seungcheol feels bad at the way you jump because of his voice, and his heart clenches at how sad you look right now when you look up at him. He’s not even thinking when he moves forward to wipe your tears that still continue falling anyway.

You don’t even question why he’s here or what he’s doing, simply accept the way his fingers are gently wiping your tears from your face. His presence helps though, for whatever reason, because you find your sob dying down into hiccups though your eyes are still blurry from tears.

“Want to talk about it?” He asks after you seem to calm down a bit, watches the way you dig your fingers into the tissue you’re holding in your palm. He doesn’t expect you to lay your head on his shoulder, but the feeling is pleasant despite the worry in his heart.

You don’t answer him for a bit, seemingly to be deep in your thoughts; wondering if you should tell him or not. He’s about to tell you it’s okay if you don’t want to, but you beat him to it and start talking albeit hesitantly.

“I applied for this scholarship for a summer course. It’s abroad and my mom has always wanted me to go so I studied hard for the test.” Your voice is small, and he wouldn’t have heard it if not because you’re literally pressed against him. “I… I was so sure I would get in. That I aced the qualifications. But I didn’t and–”

“Hey, it’s okay,” he reassures you, wondering if it’s okay to put his arm around you–if you’d appreciate the physical comfort he wants to give you. “It’s not the end of the world and there are other courses–”

“No, Cheol. You don’t understand.” You shake your head, voice resigned. You sound like you’re about to cry again, and it’s reflex when Seungcheol wraps his arm around you. Fortunately, you either don’t realize or you don’t really mind it, so he keeps it there because you even bury yourself further into him, your forehead meeting his collarbone. “My mom… It’s her dream to go into that school. But… my dad doesn’t allow me to study abroad so she thought… it’d be okay if I can go even only for a short time?”

He bites his lips as you continue to talk about your parents; how you don’t want to disappoint them and you hate to imagine how your mom would feel when you tell her the news. You’ve told him a glimpse of your parents before, what they expect of you and how you always wish to meet those expectations.

But he’s never thought it was to this extent.

His soft voice whispers your name, and you pull away to look at him because he urges you to do so.

“I know your academics matter to you, I really do,” he starts carefully, not wanting you to get the wrong idea. “But… it’s not everything, okay? I promise it’s not. And this is just one door closed for you. Who knows how many more are open?”

“No, Cheol…” you repeat, biting your trembling lip so hard that Seungcheol almost puts his thumb there so you’ll let go. “I… I’m nothing without them.”

Wait.

What?

“It’s the only thing I’m good at; studying and doing assignments. I can’t offer anything but. And if I screw up those things…”

“Wait. No–Stop.” Seungcheol immediately stops you, his voice firm though he’s shaking his head like he’s confused beyond measure. Because he is. Did you really think you have nothing to offer but your scores? Your academic accomplishment? “Are you being real right now?”

He might sound harsh, he admits, but it seems to go past you because you simply repeat your words. And it hurts so fucking much because you sound so convinced, like it’s something you’ve believed your whole life and there’s no room to amend that.

“Y/N, I promise you’re more than that,” he grasps your hands and says firmly, his eyes piercing into yours so you’ll see that he means it. “You’re not made of your academic score. You’re your own person and you're worth more than your accomplishments–whatever they are.”

Your vision gets blurry again as Seungcheol starts listing down why he thinks you’re such a wonderful person, how he’s grateful that you let him into your life and he’s glad that he gets to know you as you.

He’s hugging you by the time he’s finished, because you burst into tears once more, overwhelmed by how sincere Seungcheol sounds. Truth is, Taehyung has told you all those things Seungcheol did just now–though you’ve always thought he’s just doing his brother duty and you choose to not trust him because it’s his job to make you feel better.

But Seungcheol sounds so sure, so firm, and so true that you actually believe him. Maybe not wholefully, but it's already more than you can ever imagine. You’re so used to having only Taehyung with you, but Seungcheol comes in and he’s changing things in your life that you don’t think possible. He makes you comfortable with yourself, makes you think that it’s okay to be rebellious once in a while even if it’s just skipping a class for the first time in your life and though you promise you’d never do it again because it made you too anxious, makes you think that… yeah, maybe you should be selfish sometimes and put yourself first even though those always appear as fleeting thoughts up until now.

Still, it’s only after meeting him that those thoughts appear.

“You’re okay,” he whispers to your hair, and you can vividly feel his plump lips on top of your head. “I promise you’re okay.”

Shiny Star / Choi Seungcheol

The third time Seungcheol sees you cry (not counting the times you cry watching movies), it’s four years later as you clutch his fingers and try your best to hold back the tears even if you’ve failed already.

“They look so happy, don’t they?” He whispers against your ears, the way his lips grazed your ear still bring shivers down your spine despite the familiarity of it.

You nod as you sniffle, watching Taehyung dance with his bride on the dance floor. You’ve never thought your dumb best friend slash brother will be settling down this early, but you can’t help the happiness that blooms in your heart as you see how much love is reflected in his eyes as he looks at the love of his life.

“They do. I’m glad they found each other,” you whisper as you gently wipe your tears. Perhaps you should be more thankful Taehyung’s wife has forced you to use her makeup artist even though you refused at first, you’d hate to imagine how you’d look with mascara and cheap eyeliner rolling down your face with your tears otherwise. “He deserves it, you know? He’s always the happiest when he’s with her.”

You look up to your boyfriend when he brings up your joined hand and kisses the back of your palm, a soft, happy smile gracing your face when you feel the warmth of his lips despite the tears still running down your face.

And that’s when he promises he’d do anything he could to never let you cry again unless it’s paired with that smile.

Fever Dreams | Sleepover Fic #6

Seungcheol lays on the couch, brain throbbing, waste bin of tissues taunting him, and waits for you to arrive. You’d come the other night, when he was at his worst, but he had the scariest fever dream, and he needs to make sure it wasn’t real. He’s fairly sure it didn’t happen, because you would’ve freaked out and left.. and not returned for multiple days. And Cheol hasn’t seen you in multiple days. Cheol realizes that might be exactly what happened, and now his heart is pounding just as hard as his head is. But he can already hear the key he gave you turning in the lock, and you breeze into his apartment like all is right in the world.

You’d probably be acting weird if Cheol had told you he was in love with you, right? Maybe he got lucky, and you’d already left, and he’d confessed to a mirage. He dreams about you all the time, has for months, and he wouldn’t be surprised if, in his cough syrup induced stupor, he’d thought one of his visions of you was real. You’re coming closer now, concerned smile on your face, and Cheol’s eyes close when your hand comes down to lay gently on his forehead. He holds in the contented sigh, his eyes fluttering open when you huff.

“You’re still warm, have you been taking the medicine I left?” you ask gently, but Cheol can see the expectant set of your brows, and he nods, pointing to the empty bottle on the coffee table.

“Good,” your hands clap together, grocery bag dangling from one, “because I brought some more!”

Cheol groans, “Stop spending money on meeee,” but you just roll your eyes, telling him you’re an adult and can spend your money how you choose.

You’re right, but he resolves himself to spend even more money on you. It wouldn’t be hard, he sees something that reminds him of you everywhere he goes, keychains and stuffies and clothes and engagement rings. Usually, you whine when he buys you things, but now he can use your own words against you, and he grins, feeling his dry lips pull.

“Oh, I got you sick chapstick too, here,” you fish the lip balm out, “it’s peppermint, I thought it might help with your breathing, like Vicks does.”

Cheol clenches his eyes closed, fondness shooting through his chest, you’d remembered his rhinitis, he thinks, sounding a bit tearful in his own mind.

The chapstick does help his breathing, and he sits up enough to tug you on top of him; the pressure of your body feels nice, and you never mind being close to him. You just sigh and settle in, turning your face away from his in an attempt to avoid catching his cold. He drifts for a little, but starts to feel a bit of deja vu, and he gets a flash of a memory.

You, snuggled up next to him, his head on your shoulder. You, pecking his forehead lightly. Him, headbutting your chin until you kiss him again. You, fake sighing before taking his chin in your fingers and pressing another smooch to his forehead. Him, real sighing, breathing out something that sounds like ‘I love you’.

Fuck.

But it might not be real, Cheol tries to convince himself. It’ll drive him crazy though, not knowing if you know, and he tries to steel himself before he asks the question.

“So, I haven’t been this sick since I was a kid, and this is so weird, but did I… Did I happen to like, confess my love to you or something?” Cheol tries at nonchalance, tries to sound as casual as he can, but he can feel his heart pounding again and knows you must feel it too.

But Cheol can feel something, feel something else thumping on his chest, and he sucks in a deep breath when he realizes it’s your heart, running away just like his.

“Um, yeah, you might’ve said something of the sort,” you say quietly, shyly.

“Oh. Haha, that’s int-”

“Four times.”

“Huh?!” Cheol tries to sit up, but he’s too weak and you’re too comfy on his chest, so he lays back down and stares at the ceiling.

“Yeah, you told me you were in love with me four times,” you exhale against his shoulder.

His mind is racing, trying to think of what to say, how to fix this. If it was one time, he could explain it away, pretend it was platonic. But four? Cheol can’t rationalize telling you he loves you four fucking times. Telling you he’s in love with you, four fucking times.

Jesus, this is worse than he thought.

“Did you mean it?” you ask with a small voice, your fingers picking at a loose thread on his sweater and pulling his mind back to you.

You sound kind of… vulnerable? And your heart is still beating against his, so hard he can feel it, so fast he’s slightly worried, and he wonders if he should just take the leap. It’s too late anyway, right? And Cheol doesn’t want to lie to you, would hate not telling you the truth when you sound fragile like this.

He takes in another deep breath, feeling you rise and fall with his chest, before answering, “Yeah, sweetheart, I meant it. Every single time.”

Your head shoots up, turning so you can look at him, lock his gaze with yours, decide for yourself if he’s telling the truth. Cheol keeps his face open, letting you see the fond smile he usually stifles, the adoration he always tries to hide, the love he pretends he doesn’t feel. Because he does love you, he is in love with you, and he almost feels better, now that you know.

Your answering grin blinds him, and you drop your face down to smack a kiss to his lips, pulling away and gliding your tongue over your bottom lip to taste the chapstick. If Cheol wasn’t sick, he’d have already rolled you under him to lick into your mouth, pressed minty kisses on every available inch of skin, asked you if he could make even more skin available. He tries not to think about having your body under his, or where else his hands could go, or if you’d let him put his peppermint lips to work between your legs. The thought makes him suck in a gasp, but it gets stuck in his throat and triggers a coughing fit, and you get up and speed away to get him more water.

Cheol misses you as soon as you leave, and wonders if it’d be too much to ask you to move in with him, just while he’s sick, of course. And then, maybe more and more of your things will materialize at his place, and maybe half of his clothes will disappear to make space for yours, and maybe the other side of the sink will fill up with your skincare, and maybe your toothbrush will find itself next to his, and maybe that ring he’s been looking at will show up on your finger.

And maybe Cheol wouldn’t mind.

You come back soon enough, water in hand and a sweet smile on your face, and Cheol is taking a drink when you say, “I love you too, by the way.”

He chokes again.

Crossing Boundaries

Crossing Boundaries

❝ Seungcheol has always demanded that all of his employees keep professional boundaries, but it frustrates him that his son’s nanny is a little too good at keeping things professional. ❞

pairing: choi seungcheol x female reader

genre: single dad au, nanny au, fluff, smut

word count: 8.6k

warnings: dilf!cheol, ceo!cheol, nanny!reader, imbalance of power, a brief mention of death, mutual pining (a copious amount of it), jealousy, seungcheol is down horrendous, daddy kink, breeding kink, oral sex (f receiving), unprotected sex, squirting, multiple creampies, overstimulation, cockwarming

a/n: will never get over this concept. huge shout out to dilf cheol nonny for fueling my muse and helping make this happen. based off this request. minors dni!

There were three basic rules when it came to working for Choi Seungcheol:

1. Be on time.

2. Be efficient.

3. Maintain professional boundaries.

The rules were simple enough, but you quickly learned that there was nothing simple about them. Seungcheol was nothing if not a strict man. He demanded excellence, and anyone who didn’t live up to his rigorous standards ended up fired. Any person who managed to keep their job for a month could keep a job anywhere. At least, that’s what his entire staff seemed to think.

They weren’t exactly wrong. His standards were impossibly high, and he left little to no room for any error. It’s the very reason why Seungcheol had gone through five nannies before you, each worse than the last, according to him.

Because of this daunting fact, you’ve been very careful to never fall bellow his expectations. All the meticulous routines you made for yourself became like second nature within the first month, and it’s what kept your job secure for the last four years.

In all that time you had managed to follow the rules, but that didn’t mean it was easy. Especially since you came to absolutely adore the six-year-old boy that you were hired to take care of. Choi Taehyun was the cutest and most endearing kid you’d ever met. As soon as you met him, he had wedged his way into your heart and secured a permanent place for himself there.

The overt fondness you felt proved to be dangerous because from the very beginning, Seungcheol was adamant that you never overstep your duties as a nanny. It was his way of saying you’re not his mother so never try to act like you are. According to Josh (his assistant and the person who helped you get the job), your boss only acted this way because he still hadn't fully overcame his wife’s death. You could understand his pain which is why you were always careful not to do anything that could be seen as crossing the line.

But now, as you’re looking at Taehyun’s tear-filled eyes, all the professionalism you’ve had so far just seems to evaporate from your body. His bottom lip is trembling as he tries his hardest to muffle the whimpers and sobs at the edge of his throat. A concerned frown tugs your lips down when you go to gently wipe his fallen tears.

“Tae, what’s wrong?” You ask, feeling like someone is squeezing your heart painfully.

“Daddy’s not going to watch my play.”

The aforementioned play was something Taehyun and his entire class had been working on for about a month. He was extremely excited about it because he was assigned one of the main roles.

“It’s not fair.” Taehyun cries softly, clinging to your hands that were gently wiping his cheeks. “All my friends’ mommies and daddies are gonna watch.”

The discomfort in your chest grows as tears continue to spill from his eyes. All you can do is hug the little boy close to you in an effort to comfort him. He buries his wet face into your shoulder, clinging on to you like he never wants to let you go.

“I’m sorry, baby. You know your daddy would watch you if he could. I know he’s just as sad as you are that he can’t be there.” You rub gentles circles on his back, desperate to stop his tears from flowing.

Then, you say something you know your boss would definitely not approve of. “I know it’s not the same, but if you want, I can come watch you instead.”

Taehyun’s whimpers turn into soft sniffles as he pulls back to look at you. His eyes are still filled with tears, but now a hopeful look has taken over his gaze. “Really? You’ll come watch me?”

You realize that what you’re doing is literally bulldozing through the boundaries you’ve stayed within so far, but you would do just about anything for Choi Taehyun. There was no way you could let him be sad for another moment. So, you disregard the foreboding feeling in your gut and smile at the young boy.

“Of course I will.”

“Promise?” He’s looking at you with his huge doe eyes, pinky stuck out at you, wearing the most hopeful expression you’ve ever seen.

As Taehyun wraps his arms around you in joy, you contemplate whether or not it’s smart of you to let your emotions dictate your actions this way.

Meanwhile, your boss feels like he’s losing his mind.

As the CEO of a major conglomerate, he’s always been a level-headed, professional man. There isn’t a single thing that could make him lose his composure or make him get out of character.

This, however, doesn’t seem to apply whenever it involves his sweet, caring nanny.

Ever since you came into his life, things had changed drastically for him. You had unknowingly brightened his life in a way that he never thought was possible after his wife’s passing. Years hadn’t healed the pain, but for some reason your presence and actions had done what time couldn’t.

Seungcheol doesn’t realize the extent of his feelings until his personal assistant casually mentions that he was in the midst of arranging a date between you and the head of marketing, Jeon Wonwoo. A feeling that could only be described as rabid jealousy lights up in the pit of his stomach and expands up into his chest as Josh unwittingly goes on about how his subordinate is exactly your type.

“I don’t think that would be appropriate.” Seungcheol cuts in when Joshua says you agreed to go on this date after seeing a picture of Wonwoo. “When things don’t work out between them, it’ll bring tension into the office. The last thing I want is for either of them to feel uncomfortable.”

The way his boss said when and not if doesn’t go unnoticed.

Also, Seungcheol’s logic is seriously flawed. They both know it. In all the time you’ve worked as the CEO’s nanny, never once had you came to see him while he was working. You were annoyingly good at keeping boundaries and never overstepping. It never bothered him before, but now that he keeps thinking about it, it’s starting to.

Josh doesn’t comment on what’s blatantly obvious, mostly because he feels stupid for not realizing it sooner. It’s also clear that his boss is only barely coming to terms with his own feelings. Instead of rubbing salt in the wound, Josh is quick to assure Seungcheol that he won’t go forward with the setup before bringing his attention to his next schedule.

If only that would’ve helped him get his mind off of you.

Seungcheol is distracted during his meetings. These very large feelings are at the forefront of his mind, and they don’t fade in the slightest even as the day goes on. He starts to go over every time you’ve smiled at him in that sweet way you do. His heart jumps whenever he thinks back to those memories.

He can’t help but feel like an idiot for being so blind to his own feelings.

Things don’t feel the same when he goes home. When he finds you helping his son with his homework, all these feelings hit him at once. It’s almost funny how he never noticed the burning feeling in his chest. You’re so sweet and attentive and entirely focused on Taehyun that you don’t notice his presence. A tender smile takes over his face.

Briefly, Seungcheol thinks he wouldn’t mind coming home and seeing this lovely sight every day.

He only snaps out of his daydreams when you raise your head and stand up to greet him with a kind smile. “Mr. Choi. You’re back early.”

Seungcheol, he wants to say. Call me Seungcheol.

“Dad!”

He’s quickly distracted when he feels a small body collide with his legs. Seungcheol’s heart swells with affection as he bends down to pick up his son. Taehyun giggles happily as he wraps his small arms around his father’s neck.

Being so endeared by the sight of your boss hugging his son and peppering his little face with kisses isn’t anything new. It’s so cute that you can feel a goofy smile slowly form on your face. In the back of your mind, you know exactly why this overt fondness is clinging to your heart. But in this moment in time, you’re not willing to unpack the inappropriate feelings you have for your boss

Seungcheol doesn’t make it easy, though. For some reason he insists on helping you prepare dinner. He’s strangely eager, and you can’t really reject his offer to help. It’s both exciting and nerve-wracking to spend time with your sexy boss like this since he usually only talks to you about Taehyun.

You can’t take your eyes off Seungcheol as he rolls up his sleeves and puts on a spare apron. It’s unfair that he looks as good as he does, and you can barely keep your calm when he starts to wash the vegetables you bought in the morning. His actions feel so domestic and so sweet that you have to try your hardest to act like you’re not enjoying it as much as you are.

“I hope Taehyun didn’t wear you out too much.” Your boss says as you start to chop the freshly washed vegetables. “He’s had a lot of energy lately.”

“That’s normal for boys his age.” You say kindly. “And Taehyun’s very well-behaved, especially compared to kids his own age. You’ve raised him well, Mr. Choi.”

Seungcheol beams at the compliment, embracing the fluttering he feels in his torso and chest. Briefly, he thinks that you don’t give yourself enough credit. After all, you’ve helped raise his son more than anyone.

“In that case, I hope you can join us for dinner.”

His invitation shouldn’t make you feel the way it does. You swallow thickly, chopping movements slowing as you contemplate your answer. It’s not like you’ve never had dinner with the a father-son duo, but it was always on the insistence of Taehyun. But now that Seungcheol was the one asking, you didn’t know what to do.

Up until now, you had been very careful to not overstep the boundaries your boss had set in place by your boss, and you couldn’t understand why the same man who hated when people didn’t remain professional and respect his boundaries was asking you to do just that. Given that your big fat crush is extremely hard to hide, you’re sure that putting some distance between you two is the right thing to do.

But with the way Seungcheol’s shining eyes are imploringly staring at you, it’s hard to think of a reason to reject his invitation.

“Mr. Choi.” You say nervously as you two begin to set up the dinner table. “I... I have something to tell you.”

His gaze is intent, and you try to remain as calm as possible. “Since you won’t be able to attend Taehyun’s play, I’m going to watch him instead.”

“You?”

Your boss’s expression is unreadable, and you can’t tell what he’s thinking. Still, you soldier on and try to pretend you’re not as intimidated as you are.

“Yes. It’s something that’s important to me, and I hope you don’t mind me being there for him.”

If Seungcheol had any doubts about his feelings, he definitely didn’t now. To think that you would care so much about his son warms his heart and further cements what he already knew about you. He gives you a smile, heart bursting with affection. “I don’t mind at all. I’m glad you’ll be able to be there to watch my son.”

Honestly, Josh had managed to rework his schedule so he could see the play and surprise Taehyun, but surprising the both of you was good too.

Somehow, you manage to conceal the shock you feel. You didn’t think he would agree so easily, let alone be pleased with the idea. Instead of questioning it any further, you only thank the skies that he didn’t react angrily.

It’s hard to pretend that eating together doesn’t fill you with a copious amount of joy. Listening to Taehyun tell you all about how he can count higher than his best friend while you and Seungcheol praise him makes you feel like you’re part of their family. Maybe it’s wrong or even delusional, but you can’t help wanting to have this dynamic with them indefinitely.

“You’re leaving already?”

Taehyun is looking up at you with his large doe eyes, and you can’t help but break down a little on the inside at the disappointment they hold.

“I’ll be back tom—”

“Stay.” Seungcheol says, walking towards you. “I could really use your help putting this little monster to sleep.”

Ignoring the blatant domesticity of reading Taehyun a bedtime story together is near impossible. It gets even worse when your boss insists you stay until his son falls asleep. You almost feel like you’ve been dropped in an alternate universe when you’re ready to leave and your boss stops you again.

“Let me take you home.” Seungcheol says as you’re gathering your things. “Please.”

It’s not fair that he can seem so cute while saying this to you, and despite your better judgement, you say yes all while knowing that it’s not going to help you squash the onslaught of emotions in your chest.

Crossing Boundaries

Something was up with your boss.

You’re not sure why he was acting like he had gotten body snatched, but truthfully, you can’t say that you hate it. Having breakfast and dinner with him and Taehyun was something you loved more than you let show. This warm, mushy feeling always wrapped itself around you and clung on to you every time it happened despite it having become part of your routine.

The change is significant, and you can tell you’re not the only one who’s noticed. Josh had made a few teasing remarks, but never blatantly said what you knew he was thinking. (He was the first to know about your not-so-little crush on your boss so it wasn’t really surprising.) Of course, Taehyun had also noticed, although he was much more vocal about it.

“Dad, you always smile so big when all us eat together.”

The blush that dusts your boss’s cheeks is absolutely adorable, and you can barely keep a straight face when Seungcheol clears his throat to answer his son. “That’s because it makes me happy.”

It’s not fair that he can say something like that so casually and like it doesn’t literally make your entire heart pulse with affection. Somehow, you manage to keep all your feelings tampered down so they don’t show.

And for the most part it works. Until the day of Taehyun’s play, that is.

Seungcheol had assured you that supporting his son in his stead was definitely not crossing the line, but it was near impossible from feeling like that’s exactly what you were doing. It doesn’t help that you feel so out of place among the parents, either. To be fair, none of them were paying you any attention. You were just too in your head.

After fighting with your inexplicable anxiousness, you decided to just silently go to the auditorium without being noticed. This plan would’ve gone well if an unfamiliar voice hadn’t loudly called out your full government name, drawing the attention of many of the gathered parents. A woman who you recognized to be the principal’s wife approaches you with a tight-lipped smile.

Mrs. Ren looks you up and down, the condescending smile on her face widening impossibly. “I didn’t realize you were going to be here.”

Her attitude didn’t surprise you since many of the other moms had commented about her being very attracted to your boss. Apparently she had staked this weird claim on him despite being married, and no one dared to go against her because of who she was. Clearly, she didn’t like that you were overstepping the duties of a typical nanny.

Not that you cared, but having so many eyes on you was unsettling.

“Why wouldn’t I be here?” You challenged, not daring to back down. “Taehyun is family, after all.”

You don’t miss the quiet gasps or the angry widening of Mrs. Ren’s eyes. Honestly, you had no idea why you blurted that out even though that’s how you really felt about the cute little boy you took care of.

“So, it’s true?” The woman behind her exclaimed in shock. “You’re really going to marry Seungcheol?”

Woah. Wait. What?

You can feel your eyes get big as this unknown woman goes on about how she knew her husband hadn’t lied to her. There was no time to fully process her words because Mrs. Ren practically had steam coming out of her ears as she sneered at you.

“You?” The principal's wife screeched. “You’re engaged to Choi Seungcheol?”

It’s almost funny how unreasonably angry you know she’s gotten, but you’re too thrown off by the entire situation to laugh. You decide to clear up this absurd claim before it can go any further.

“I think there’s been a misunderstanding—”

You cut yourself off when a strong hand is gently placed on your waist. The warmth of a muscular body pressed against your side has you looking over to see none other than your hot boss, and you have to stop yourself from flinching because he looks absolutely livid. His presence makes you feel relieved and mortified all at the same time which leaves you feeling confused. But damn, does that mean glare look attractive on him.

“I didn’t expect this reaction from you, Mrs. Ren.” His cold tone sends shivers down your spine. “Are you not happy that I’ve finally decided to settle down again?”

The entire situation feels like a bizarre dream, and you can only be sure it’s not because of the very real heat coming from Seungcheol’s hand (which is still firmly on your waist). You can barely fathom the fact that Choi Seungcheol is actually lying about being engaged to you to help you save face, and you don’t know if you’re more embarrassed or charmed at this point.

“Tha-That’s not it!” She splutters, red in the face. “I was just surprised because I didn’t know you were dating again in the first place!”

It’s a lame excuse, one that doesn’t seem to satisfy your boss. “I’m sure that was it. There’s no way you would bear any ill will toward my family, right?”

You feel like you might actually swoon at his words. To hear him refer to you as his family makes an unmistakable warmth spread through your body. Sure, he was only doing it to help you, but still. The intention alone was enough to make your heart race.

The face Mrs. Ren makes looks like she’s seconds away from bursting with anger and mortification. How she manages to answer Seungcheol calmly is beyond you. “Of course not.”

“Good.”

His hand falls from your waist and grabs your own. It takes all your willpower to not melt into a puddle of mush as he starts to guide you away from the prying eyes. You let him drag you along, mind too full of rampant thoughts to really process what just happened.

“Seungcheol!” A voice calls. “Wait!”

You both stop, turning to see the woman from before. She gives your boss a devious smirk as she stops in front of you two, seemingly pleased.

“Aren’t you two a match made in heaven.” She says, grin getting bigger with every word. “Keeping this little affair a secret. When Jeonghan told me about it, I didn’t believe it since I haven’t seen you two together, but with the way you looked swooped in like Prince Charming—”

As she trails off with a swoon, you realize that she’s Yoon Minji, wife of your boss’s lifelong friend and business associate. Your mind is so muddled that you barely catch her invite you both to dinner before leaving to go find a seat.

After she leaves, Seungcheol keeps guiding you to the auditorium without saying a word. The silence is painful, but you’re forced to endure it since you don’t know what to say. Thanking him for helping you would be a good start, but then you don’t know if you’d be able to hold yourself back from asking why the wife of his best friend thought you two were engaged to be married.

“Y/N.” Seungcheol says your name softly as you two stop just outside the doors that lead to the auditorium. “Once again, I want to thank you for coming. I know it’s going to mean a lot to Taehyun that you came to watch him.”

The way you look at him with your pretty eyes makes Seungcheol want to kiss you senseless. His heart is beating fiercely in his chest, and he wonders how he could’ve never noticed these intense feelings before. The smile you give him is blinding, and he wishes that look would remain on your face forever.

“I’m happy to be here, and I know that it’s going to mean the world to Tae that you were able to make it.”

Seungcheol swallows thickly. “Also, I’m sorry about what happened back there. I hope I didn’t make you feel uncomfortable with what I said.”

His gaze is so tender that you feel your breath hitch. You’re heart is beating like it’s about to jump out and jump right into Seungcheol’s hands. Unsurprisingly, that’s where it feels like it’s been for the past year. You’re snapped out of your intrusive thoughts when you realize that you’re still holding hands. Neither of you make a move to let go.

“You didn’t.” You’re quick to assure him. “I’m actually really grateful that you helped me. I hope I didn’t inconvenience you.”

“Never.”

His smile is so pretty it makes you want to do unspeakable things to him, and you have to remind yourself of where you’re at and who you are. That reminder does little to squash the fire burning fiercely in your chest, though. Especially when Seungcheol guides you inside the auditorium, hand still wrapped around yours.

Crossing Boundaries

Seungcheol didn’t mean to eavesdrop, but when he was about to enter the kitchen, your phone was on the counter and on speaker. It was inevitable that he heard his assistant’s voice as he spoke to you. He might’ve given you the privacy you deserved had he not caught what you two were talking about.

“How have you still not found something?” Josh’s concerned voice booms through the phone. “Your lease literally ends in two weeks.”

Originally, you had planned to move into a nice apartment building not too far from your job, but that fell through when you found out the prices had gone up significantly in the last month. It’s not like you were underpaid or anything (Seungcheol was very generous and the benefits were nothing short of impressive), but living there would mean spending more than half of your check on just rent alone. And as generous as your boss was, you know you could never bring yourself to ask for a raise.

“Everything I’ve looked at is either in a sketchy neighborhood or looks like it’ll need serious repairs.” You sigh as you start wiping down the stove. “I’m starting to think I should’ve never rejected Mr. Choi’s offer of being a live-in nanny.”

“Just tell him you changed your mind.” Josh says like it wouldn’t be a big deal. “He might give you the best room in the employee house. You know the one with the balcony!”

You disregard his teasing tone and scowl. “There’s no way I’m going to backtrack now. Do you know how humiliated I’ll be when he tells me no? I’ll have to quit right then and there!”

Even though you can’t see your friend, you can easily picture him rolling his eyes. “What do you plan on doing then?”

You pout at the phone. “Can’t I just live with you and Junhui? Your place is so nice.”

“You’ll have to stay in the living room, and you won’t have anywhere to put your things.”

Seungcheol sees your shoulders slump, and he has to stop himself from walking into the kitchen and taking you into his arms. He can only watch helplessly as you sigh quietly before responding in a voice that sounds too dejected for his liking.

“Maybe I’ll just move back in with my parents.”

This might’ve made Seungcheol feel better had his assistant not cut in with the obvious flaws in your plan. “Won’t the commute be too much, though? You can’t do that every day. Not with how early and late you have to work.”

There’s a pause, and then the next words that come out of Josh’s mouth make Seungcheol feel like someone punched him in the stomach.

“Unless you’re planning on resigning.”

Your silence makes the feeling in his stomach worsen, and your response doesn’t make him feel all that better. “Well, no, but... I don’t know. Maybe I’ll have to.”

Seungcheol slowly backs away, heart thumping irregularly in his chest. The thought of you quitting and no longer being in his life is more devastating than he could’ve imagined. It torments him and leaves him feeling cold.

For the rest of the evening, he can’t get his mind off the conversation he heard or how it leaves him feeling.

Even as he lays in his bed in the middle of the night, he can’t stop thinking about it. He goes over the situation over and over in his head until he finally decides that he can’t give you up, selfish as his reasons may be. All Seungcheol has to do is make sure his son won’t have an issue with what he’s planning to do.

“Taehyun.” He says softly as he’s tucks his son into bed alone for the first time in months. “You like Y/N, don’t you?”

The way the little boy vigorously nods his head makes his heart warm. “Yeah! She’s nice and pretty and I like when she calls me Tae!”

Seungcheol swallows, feeling more nervous than ever. “Then... how would you feel about her being around more often?”

Taehyun blinks slowly, weary eyes looking at his dad questioningly. As always, his son is silently asking to explain and get to the point. It’s hard to suppress a smile when he does things that remind Seungcheol how similar they are.

“What I mean is... would you like it if Y/N came to live here with us?”

It’s a relief when his son springs up, eyes shining with unadulterated excitement. “Y/N is going to live with us?” His happiness is evident. “Really?”

Seungcheol smiles tenderly, reaching over to ruffle his hair.

“I have to ask her first, but if she says yes, then she’ll come stay with us—as long as that’s something you want.”

“I do want it!” Taehyun says, bouncing on his knees. “Then we can all live together like a family!”

Yes, Seungcheol thinks as he affectionately caresses his son’s face. Like a family.

The next morning, you’re surprised to see your boss still hasn’t left for work even when you’re ready to take Taehyun to school. It’s even more surprising when he suggests you all go together. You can’t deny the request since Taehyun is all too happy to have you both take him to school.

It’s hard to ignore the stares you’re getting as you and Seungcheol walk Taehyun into the school. He’s holding both your hands, happily swinging them and talking animatedly. Funnily enough, the young boy manages to make the nerves you feel disappear with his infectious smile. You can easily disregard the gawking and whispers after seeing how happy your boss’s son is.

Seungcheol also doesn’t seem to mind the attention you two are attracting. He acts like his impassive self even as he’s driving you back to the mansion. The entire time he’s really just thinking of the best way to ask you to live with him and his son. Even though he knows you most likely won't say no, he still feels nervous.

“Y/N.” He says as he pulls into his long driveway. “Before you go, I have a request.”

You feel nervous, but manage to plaster a smile on your face. “Yes, sir?”

Seungcheol feels as if his heart jumped up into his throat. “Well, you see... my schedule is going to change drastically these next few months. I’m going to be working earlier and coming home much later. There are also be times where I’ll have to leave the city for business for extended periods of time.”

You’re not saying anything, and he knows he has to get to the point quickly.

“I was going to request that you come live with Taehyun and I during this time. It’ll be more convenient for everyone this way. I hope you’ll consider it.”

At this moment, your boss looks so earnest that you aren’t sure how to adequately express the influx of emotions you’re suddenly feeling. It all feels like a dream to you that you begin to wonder if his words are actually real. Either way, the warmth seeping into your bones pushes you to give the handsome man in front of you an answer.

“Yes, of course I will.”

Crossing Boundaries

Every time you wake up and find yourself in a luxurious room, you feel like you’ve been dropped in the middle of a blissful dream. Weeks have gone by, but it still feels unreal. Unlike your expectations, your boss moved you into the main house and gave you the room right across from his. It was hard to not let your fantasizing mind wander despite knowing he had done it out of convenience and nothing else.

Your life continues to be stuck in a routine until Taehyun goes to visit his grandparents. It’s strange without him around, and unsurprisingly, you begin to miss him after the first day. Your boss insists that you can take the week off and have it for yourself, but you still have no desire to actually do anything.

Seungcheol notices your listless attitude and feels determined to change it.

“Tonight?”

“You don’t want to?”

The way Seungcheol is looking like a pouty puppy is not good for your heart. Although you really don’t feel like going to dinner with Minji and Jeonghan, you can’t say no to the adorably hot man in front of you.

“No, it’s not that, I just—” You’re flustered, but don’t want him to think you don’t want to go with him. “They still think we’re engaged, right?”

You almost regret asking because Seungcheol’s hopeful look slowly fades away and is replaced by poorly concealed dejection. “Yeah. Sorry. I still haven’t cleared things up. We don’t have to go if that makes you feel uncomfortable.”

“I don’t mind.” You tell him truthfully. “I just didn’t want it to seem like I was crossing the line.”

Seungcheol has to physically restrain himself from falling to his knees and telling you that you’re the only person who’s allowed to cross the line with him. Instead he manages to smile at you like he’s not physically dying inside. “You’re not.”

As you’re walking in to what seems to be like one of the most expensive restaurants in the city, you’re glad you spend a good fifteen minutes deciding on the perfect thing to wear. Seungcheol had seemed to like it, at least. His eyes were practically sparkling when he’d seen you.

It’s hard to ignore this intense pressure you feel when you sit down at the table. Minji and Jeonghan greet you amicably like you’re one of their old friends, but you know it’s only because they think you’re engaged to Seungcheol which you most definitely are not.

Luckily, the conversation flows naturally and smoothly until Jeonghan asks a question that leaves you without a single thing to say.

“I need to know the story of how you two fell in love because this man is not one who crosses the line with his employees.”

You’d like to know the same thing yourself. Not that Seungcheol was actually in love with you or had actually done that much to push past these rules he had set, but he’d done more than you ever believed him capable of doing.

“I can’t really remember how it happened.” Seungcheol says honestly. “After a while, I found myself excited to go home and see her. Every time she smiled at me, I felt like my heart was going to explode. When she went home, I missed her even though I knew she was coming back. Eventually, I realized that I couldn’t picture my life without her in it.”

You’re staring. You know you are, but you can’t help it. He sounds so sincere with those shimmering eyes of his, and you feel like your own heart is on the verge of exploding. Even though it’s all an act, you start to feel those familiar butterflies invade your stomach and chest.

“Oh my god!” Minji squeals, slapping her husband’s arm repeatedly. “How cute is that? I swear you guys make me want a love like yours.”

As Jeonghan lets out an offended noise and starts to list off all the romantic and extravagant things he’s done in order to show Minji his love, you can only laugh along and pretend like your boss’s words didn’t affect you as much as they did.

When you get back home, your heart is still unable to let go of those sweet words. Even as you walk up to your room with Seungcheol still by your side, you can’t let them go despite knowing he didn’t mean them.

Now that it’s time to say goodnight, you feel strange parting ways even though he’ll literally be in the room across from yours. “I had a really good time tonight. Thanks for inviting me.”

“I’m glad you had a good time. I was kind of worried you weren’t going to.”

You always had a good time when you were with him, not that you would dare to say that out loud.

“You really surprised me, Mr Choi. I had no idea you were such a good actor.”

You had expected him to laugh, but instead he only looks at you with a somber gaze. “I told you to call me Seungcheol.”

His voice comes out so authoritative that it makes your insides clench, and his lidded gaze makes your heart leap up into your throat. You manage to find your voice even though it comes out a bit weak. “But we’re not pretending anymore...”

His gaze sharpens. “I’ve never pretended to love you.”

His words hang in the air, and they shock you so much that they make you unconsciously give into his request from before. “Seungcheol.” You say breathlessly.

The way his name rolls off your tongue makes his heart stutter, and he briefly thinks he could listen to you say his name forever. Both your eyes are burning fiercely with this emotion that has been blatant to all those around you. Except this time you can both see it.

You’re not sure who makes the first move, but suddenly his mouth is covering yours, tongue licking along your bottom lip. The feeling is electric, and you throw all your inhibitions to the wind as you pull Seungcheol closer.

Your heart is pounding fiercely as you two stumble into his room, pulling off the the clothes you’re wearing, touching each other desperately as if you think this moment might end at any moment. It won’t though, and you become conscious of that fact as you’re laying on the softest sheets you’ve ever felt, completely naked.

Seungcheol is gazing at you with so much affection and want that it makes you feel like he plans to eat you up. He kisses along your inner thighs, gently licking and biting at your soft skin. His warm hands caress the outside of your thighs, gently digging his fingers into the soft skin.

“So pretty.”

You can feel your breath hitch in anticipation as his hands smooth down your inner thighs until he’s pressing two fingers against your aching clit. It’s dizzying the way Seungcheol rubs it in gentle circles that have you squirming and gasping in pleasure. His heated gaze flickers between your face and your dripping cunt, not wanting to miss the sight of you falling apart under him.

“Look at how wet you are, sweetheart. All for me.”

His voice has a possessive edge to it as he grinds down on the bed, hard cock rubbing uselessly against the sheets. The pleasure is minimal, and Seungcheol has to hold back a whine at the lack of relief.

“Please.” You mewl, shifting your hips up slightly.

Seungcheol keeps his dark eyes on you to make sure you’re watching him. He presses a soft kiss to your pulsing clit, and he has to groan when he sees you clench around nothing. The featherlight touch has you feeling so desperate and lightheaded that you’re unable to stop the wanton mewl that tumbles past your lips. “Seungcheol.”

Your voice is so needy and sweet that Seungcheol lets out a moan of his own before he dips his head between your thighs. The moan you let out is loud as he starts to suck and lick at your aching bud. His movements are smooth and gentle somehow, and it’s not long before you feel the coil in your stomach start to tighten.

Seungcheol is groaning and panting into your cunt as he laps up every bit of your juices. He’s eating you out like a starved man, and you love every second of it. The way he grabs your thighs and pulls your wet cunt closer to his mouth makes your head swim. One of your hands finds his hair while the other trails up your body to cup your tit. You pull and pinch at the taut nipple with a loud moan of Seungcheol’s name.

The sweet moans you’re letting out as Seungcheol spreads your slick all over your cunt makes his cock throb in anticipation. He wonders what you’ll sound like when he finally has his dick inside you. Your grip on his hair tightens when he circles his tongue on your puffy bud. The cute whines falling from your lips become louder as his he continues to fuck you with his tongue.

“So sweet.” Seungcheol groans against your dripping cunt. “Sweetest fucking thing I’ve ever tasted.”

Your pussy clenches around his tongue so tightly that it almost feels like it could be pulled off his mouth. But your moans and mewls coax him to keep going, loving the way you’re starting to blubber incoherently. “Fuh-Fuck! Feels so good...”

The way you take an awkward pause makes Seungcheol lift his head questioningly. Your whine of protest has his leaking cock throbbing almost painfully. “What is it?”

Your face feels hot, and you’re so lost in your pleasure that it pushes you to tell him the truth. “Can... Can I call you daddy?”

Seungcheol smashes his hot face back into your cunt, cock aching painfully. “Call me whatever you want, sweetheart. I’m all yours.”

His tongue and lips are massaging your swollen clit, and all you can do is throw your head back and arch your back to grind your hot cunt harder onto his mouth. It almost feels like too much, but strangely also like not enough at the same time.

“O-Oh, fuck! Daddy!”

The loud cry you let out as you squirt all over Seungcheol’s face makes him let out a guttural moan of his own. His entire chin and mouth is covered with your sweet juices, and he continues to lap it up like you’re the best thing he’s ever tasted—which you are.

Seungcheol sits up, licking his lips until he can’t taste you anymore. His grin is devious but also so hot. He’s gently caressing your still-quivering thighs, and you feel like you can faint from how much you’re enjoying it.

Then, your eyes drift down to his huge cock. It’s possibly the biggest one you've ever seen, and also the prettiest. You lick your own lips before looking back up at at his face. The way he’s looking at you with his dark eyes has you clenching around nothing.

“You’re okay to keep going?”

God, he’s so fucking sweet that you just want to fuck him until he can’t talk. You nod desperately, opening your legs wider.

“Fuck me, daddy.”

Your mouth drops open in a quiet moan when you feel Seungcheol’s thick cock push into your cunt with a lewd, wet sound. His large hands smooth down your thighs, squeezing and caressing so tenderly that it has your pussy clenching down on his throbbing dick. He swoops down to swallow your moan, lips messily colliding with yours.

His thrusts are so deep and slow that all you can do is gasp into his mouth. The fat tip of his cock is hitting your sweet spot so sharply that you have to buck your hips up to meet his movements. Seungcheol starts to trail his lips along your jaw and neck, gently nipping and kissing at the soft skin. The lewd squelch coming from your pussy is driving him insane. His entire cock is coated with your juices, and he’s never feel better than he does now.

“Fuck, angel. Look at you, taking daddy’s cock so well.” His voice is dizzying, and all you can do is cry out in pleasure.

Seungcheol leans back, just watching you writhe under him. You’re so pretty as you fuck yourself on his cock, squeezing him until it feels almost hard to move. His hand slowly trails down between your bodies, and you let out a loud moan of his name when he starts to roll your puffy clit with his long fingers.

White cream coats his entire length, leaving a milky ring at the base of his cock. You wetly gasp out his name, your nails digging into his forearms, but Seungcheol is relentless. He’s like a hungry beast as he pounds into your gushing hole and all you can do is desperately try to meet his thrusts.

“Fuck, look how you’re soaking daddy’s cock, baby. Making such a mess.” He groans, feeling your slick dripping down to his heavy balls.

You can only moan loudly for him to keep fucking you, already drunk on the feeling of his thick cock splitting you open. Seungcheol spits on your throbbing cunt, mixing in with your juices that are coating his dick. His bulbous tip is slamming against the spongy spot that has you seeing stars, forcing more slick out of you with every harsh thrust.

The coil in the pit of your stomach is close to snapping, and your mouth drops open as your thighs begin to tremble again.

“Fuh-Fuck, daddy! Love your big dick!”

His tantalizing smirk is so hot to you, and it makes you clench down on his cock and release another stream of slick. Seungcheol moans, eager to feel you cream on his cock like he’s dreamed of countless times. It just takes him angling his hips just right for his wish to come true.

Your toes curl in pleasure, a loud moan of his name tearing from your throats as a rush of wetness escapes you. Of course, Seungcheol keeps pounding you, roughly fucking you through one of the most intense orgasms you’ve ever had.

“That’s it, sweetheart. Cream all over my cock.” His voice rasps, thick with lust and adoration.

A thick white ring is at the base of his cock, slowly smearing down to his heavy sack. The sight is driving Seungcheol wild, almost as wild as the sight of your glistening folds stretching around him. “Give me another one, baby. I know you can.”

“Fuck, please.” Your cry. “Fill me up with your cum, daddy!”

It’s like something inside Seungcheol snaps when he hears your pleas. In an abrupt movement, he presses your legs to your chest and starts to pound into your hot cunt. Your tight walls are sucking him in like they’re also begging to be painted with his seed.

“You want my cum, angel?” Seungcheol coos, gently caressing your soft legs as he slams his cock into your sweet spot, balls slapping against your ass with every thrust. “Want me to fill you up until you’re carrying my baby, give Taehyun a little sibling?”

“Please!” You mewl when you feel his cock throb inside you. “Want to make you a daddy again. Stuff me full of your cum!”

Your voice is breathless and a little whiny, and Seungcheol feels like you’re making him lose his mind. “Fuck, baby. I’ll give it to you then. I’ll fill you up until I’m all you can feel.”

You continue to beg him for his cum, telling him how much you need it in your cunt. The more he fucks you, the less you can form actual words. Every fantasy you’ve had feels so dull compared to the real thing. All the times you’ve gotten off to the image of him fucking you or had wet dreams about him were absolutely obscene and filthy. Somehow, the reality was much better.

A rush of euphoria overwhelms you when you feel Seungcheol spills his cum directly against your cervix. You wrap your legs around him to make sure his cum goes as deep as possible. His hot load fills you up, painting every inch of your sensitive walls as he slowly rolls his hips into you.

You yank him down for a messy kiss, so desperate and needy for him that you don’t care about anything else. “Don’t stop, daddy.”

Seungcheol fucks his cum into you, wanting to mark you from the inside out now that he has you. He can feel your mixed releases slowly seep out of you, and he carnally thinks he’s going have to fill you up again so he can be sure he’s bred you properly.

Your hot cunt is throbbing almost painfully, bordering on that delicious burn of being overstimulated. But you’re still hungry for more. So when he releases you from the press he had you in, you roll over and stick your ass out at him. You look back, satisfied when you see his dark eyes are on your sloppy pussy that’s dripping with his cum.

“Keep fucking me, daddy. Want more of your cum.”

That’s all it takes for Seungcheol to plunge back into your tight cunt, pounding into you like a savage beast. His leaking tip slams into your spongy spot repeatedly, making you cry out in absolute ecstasy. His big balls are slapping against your sensitive nub, adding to the mind-blurring pleasure you’re feeling.

“Fuck, Y/N. Your little cunt is still so fucking tight after being stretched open and bred.” Seungcheol growls, hands squeezing and slapping your ass as it bounces against his pelvis. “Creaming and dripping all over this cock, making a mess again.”

Your eyes roll to the back of your head as he keeps fucking you with feral precision. “Fuck, daddy! So good!”

Seungcheol can feel your hot cunt clamping down on him again, and he lets out a deep moan. “Come for me again, baby. Show daddy just how good he’s making you feel.”

You can only mewl and whine, too list in the pleasure his big cock is providing you. Seungcheol’s thrusts become impossibly rougher and sharper. It feels like he’s rearranging your guts with how he’s pulling your pliant body to meet the snapping of his hips.

“Daddy!” You squeal in shock when he flips you on your side before hooking one of your legs over his shoulder and continues to fuck you mercilessly.

This new angle stretches your sore cunt more while exposing it to the cool air. You can only imagine how filthy you look down there, but Seungcheol seems to love it. All the pleasure your feelings is driving you insane, and you can only feel an insane amount of pleasure taking over your mind.

“Come inside me, daddy!” You moan wantonly, desperate to feel his hot cum fill you up again.

His soaked cock throbs inside you, eager to release inside your tight pussy. “Want me to? You that desperate to be a mommy, baby?”

When you nod desperately, he focuses on making you come again so he can give you what you both want. Seungcheol gives you one sharp thrust before he leans back slightly to watch you squirt and cover his lower half in your release. Your body gently convulses as quiet mewls pour from your mouth.

“You’re so fucking hot, sweetheart.” Seungcheol groans as he keeps fucking into your hot cunt. “Can’t get enough of you.”

He keeps slamming in and out of your wet pussy desperately, eager for his own release. Seungcheol comes with a yell of your name, spilling his hot cum deep inside you and pumping you full. His cum spurts along your sore walls until it feels like there’s no room for more of it. It seeps out around his cock, leaking down to your ass and his heavy balls.

Seungcheol doesn’t slow down. The oversensitivity you’re both feeling makes him more ravenous. He obsessed with the sight of you trembling on his cock, caught between begging for a break and pleading for more. He fucks his cum into you, desperate to make it go as deep as possible.

Wet noises seep into your foggy mind, playing dully in the background to your muddles thoughts of sex and Seungcheol. He’s successfully fucked you stupid, and you’ve never felt better than you did now. Your cunt is filled to the brim, his seed coating your every inch of your core. At some point, his thrusts slowed into thorough grinds, sticky strings of arousal and cum connecting your most intimate parts.

Seungcheol doesn’t pull out. Instead he collapses next to you and tugs you closer. He shoves his face in your collarbone, inhaling your scent as he feels raw cock throb inside you.

You hug him closer to you, gently caressing his hair. It’s a peaceful silence that fills the room, and you were close to drifting off to sleep until a thought occurs to you.

“Can I ask you something?”

Seungcheol nuzzles deeper into you, pressing a wet kiss on your soft skin. “Anything.”

“Why did Jeonghan think we were engaged in the first place?” You wonder, thinking it would be fine to ask this much since you have his cock and cum inside you.

There’s a pregnant pause until Seungcheol pulls back and looks at you with a slight pout. “That idiot wanted to set you up with his cousin. I had no other choice but to tell him you were already mine.”

You actually laugh, not believing this was the same man who told you to never overstep the boundaries he had. His pout is still there, and you lean in to kiss it right off his face. It’s languid and gentle, and leaves you feeling dizzy.

“Fine, but I still expect an actual ring.”

Seungcheol hugs you tighter, wondering if it’s too soon to show you the little black box he has in his nightstand.

Word Count: 3.4k (Drabble go awimbawe) Master List is here Part 1 is heeeere Summary: In which you brought a scarlet dress without Cheol's knowledge, causing a dip in your savings but a leap in your heart. This is slightly heavy ngl. There were many moments I had to stop writing just to take a breather. There were many scenes I cut out cause of how raw it was. Please be mindful in the comments.

"Ma-maaa " Your baby was squealing, shrieking all in one. Her grubby eyes kept reaching out for you, wanting to be carried. Although your heart ached to just stoop down and carry her and receive some 'Hana cuddles', you couldn't just leave your task at hand. You were rolling dough to make bread. The stove had on it bulgogi, a luxury in your house and you found yourself pacing back and forth between the grinder, the stove and the island trying to multitask. You bent down to give her a small spoon and bowl, to appease her whines. Thankfully, she was satisfied for now, choosing to play with her toys. She was a Seungcheol carbon copy, pouty lips and a sulky nature when she wasn't given enough attention.

You had protested at the uncanny resemblance too, nine months in your belly and the audacity to come out looking like her dad?

However they died down when she ended up being a 'mama's girl' to Cheol's chagrin. She needed your attention on her at all times, happy even just be in your presence.

You had tied the end of her ankle to he table leg. For a baby, she sure was a rapid crawler. In the blink of an eye she could be seen yeeting herself out of the room in the most hilarious ways. Not able to catch up with her, you had come up with a scheme to let her crawl away as long as she remained within eye range. She didn't mind it anymore, you were at peace now. A win win situation.

The timer beeped. You put down your dough and went to the corner of the room where Sollie was in timeout. "Sollie, time out's done bub, can you turn around for Eomma?." No sooner were you finished speaking than you had an armful of a teary eyed Hansol in your arms. You cradled his head and scooped him up, trying to reassure his whines.

Although you didn't pick him up till you were done asking him some questions, you supposed today you could let it pass. After the customary five minute walk around the kitchen, holding a now sniffling Hansol, you turned off the two burners, transferring Hana's lunch from the grinder to a bowl and set Sollie on the island.

Although he kept shaking his head, still wanting to be carried, you knew he needed this.

"Hansol, can you tell eomma what you did wrong?" His eyes looked at everything except for you, opting to avoid your stern eyes. When you still didn't relent, be brought out that pouty lip. "I pwush Hana eomma ." "And?" "And an- I hit her." "And what do we say about pushing and hitting in this house Hansollie?" He was beginning to get distracted, choosing to fiddle with dough you were rolling a minute ago. "Hansol please look at eomma ." He turned back at you, bottom lip still not set back. "What did we say about pushing baby? We use our...? "Hands!" You had to maintain your giggle else you'd break character. Kids came up with the darnedest things. "No bub, we don't use our hands we use our ..? " Words eomma " "Good job baby! Did you learn your lesson baby?" A nod. "Sowwie eomma." "You are okay baby. You should be apologizing to Hana baby. She could have gotten an owie. Do you wanna give Hana a hug too?"

Another nod. "Ppo ppo?" Giving him a long kiss, one he was beginning to wriggle away from, you set him down, sending him away to Hana. You watched as he ran to Hana, who was ignoring the both of you happily slobbering away licking her toys. How babies got happy licking things was a mystery to you. You sighed as he engulfed Hana in a hug, one she was not too happy to receive beginning to push back. You chuckled and went back to your work, choosing to avoid the heaviness in your stomach.

Today was just not your day. Hansol getting timeout was the final straw before he got punished. It seems his terrible two's had descended into terrible threes too. Ever since you had joined work after your maternity leave was up, you had to send him and Hana to daycare not able to juggle both at the same time.

The other alternative was for you and Cheol to take shifts around the clock but he had put a foot down, pouting his way out. "I married you to see you too you know. What's the point of having kids if they only see one parent at a time, shifting shifts?" You had dug into your savings and invested in day care, it's a small bump in the road.

Today was your team outing, a two day trip to go on a tour with your colleagues. However you took these two days to spend some extra time with the kids, the mom guilt eating you up. Hansol basked in your attention, choosing to whir out all his personalities today.

You loved your little boy but he was Jekyll and Hyde personified. Sometimes, he was the best boy, always giving out hugs and kisses, to anyone who needs it (his parents all the time) and dancing around the house singing the odd rhyme and limerick.

Other times, like today, everything triggered his temper. He refused to go for naps, wanting you to keep carrying him everywhere, and this lead to his crankiness, destroying everything in his path.

He broke a plate when you didn't give him attention fast enough and although you did excuse him because his sorry eyes resembled his father's and had you melting, this lead up to even more chaos, pulling out Hana's hair and even slapping her head, causing him to be sent to time out.

You knew he was jealous of Hana and you were trying your hardest to pay him extra attention because you never wanted him to experience the middle child syndrome. But sometimes he took that attention for granted. Aria was reading her book in the bedroom. "Bless the child" you thought.

Aria was just like her dad, a quiet soul who never took her nose out of her books, never the one to fight over toys while her younger siblings fought tooth and nail over toys. she was your little helper. But everyone has days you suppose. She was an extremely picky eater and had refused to eat anything except for bread, choosing to spit out everything else.

You had to inevitably force feed her leading to her break out and call you an 'idjit and ninny' (you had to admit it was hard to maintain a straight face after being called that by a seven year old but you knew one slip up and she would continue using that up, ultimately leading to her time out too. After her time was up, she had refused to play with Hansol, choosing instead to read her books, and you didn't wan to argue. Though you had a sneaking suspicion she was learning more words to store in her memory and call you when the best of her temper arrives. Hana was at her teething stage, fussy and irritable over anything. Battling between three kids fighting for attention from you and throwing tantrums, you wonder 'did I give birth to monsters?' It was evening, and you were longing to have Cheol home to take some load off your shoulders.

You finally did end up putting Hana and Hansol for a nap, choosing to spend some time with your eldest child, reading 'Heidi' for the seventh time this week. Taking a small break to check on the Sundubu Jjigae, you walked your way to the kitchen when the doorbell rang. Your heart was in your throat, tiptoeing your way to the front door. Peeping through the soul, you were met with the delivery man. Ahh crap the dress you had ordered online was coming today. Just your luck.

Thanking the man, you lay your body on the door holding the box to your chest. Cheol hadn't known you went behind his back to buy this.

The Scarlet Dress Debacle

You and Cheol had made a vow three years back that you wouldn't buy gifts for each other except for necessities, choosing instead to save up that money and buy something nice for your children. After all, didn't they deserve some happiness? However your team was hosting it's annual dinner and you were out of nice things. None of your old dresses fit you anymore, your body had changed after Hana and you wanted to wear something nice. Something that wasn't your typical office wear, something that made you look pretty.

You were embarrassed to tell your husband any of this which was why you had made your purchase from the work computer, using your salary account to pay.

Donning on the scarlet dress you gasped at your reflection. It fit you like a glove, choosing to highlight your curves, curves that you had begun to start loving thanks to your husband who found every part of you sexy.

Your boobs didn't look droopy in this, choosing to stay perky and well snug under the fabric. And your tummy? The soft pooch you had grown just gave an extra dimension adding on to the character. You did a small twirl, appreciating yourself in the mirror, loving every moment in the dress.

Now the guilt began. You knew the choice to buy this dress came in a haste decision, wishing for something pretty. Although you and Cheol had made that decision to be rid of nice things at the choice of sacrificing for your kids, a selfish part of you had rationalized that he was never without gifts.

He still had his rich friends who showered him with luxurious gifts. Despite having been kicked out by his 'parents', his mom would come to see him on the rare occasion that his dad was out of town. After all she couldn't bear not seeing her baby for too long. He was indeed a 'mama's boy'.

Your mother in law was a kind and generous lady to those who she loved and despite making it very obvious she did not like you, she loved her son and grand kids. You had leaned to cope with it. She would always come packed with gifts, showering them with everything they wanted. Outfits for years to come, iPads, a whole kitchen set for Hana, a race car collection for Hansol, a library of books for Anna, a whole wardrobe of clothes for Hana (a pity, she outgrew most of them) and a drum set for Hansol. And she never forgot her son, making sure to gift him his favorite branded shirts and pants and an endless supply of wallets now.

Initially your mother in law had opted to forget about Aria, not wanting to buy anything for a child that was not biologically her sons but your husband had put his foot down, gifts for all three children equally or no visitation rights. You suppose she loves her son too much to lose him to a seven year old's gifting choices which was why she had begun to start gifting Aria too.

You were happy for your husband and children. You were. But sometimes you craved nice things too.

You were happy for your husband and children. You were. But sometimes you craved nice things too.

At her sons warning she had begun to buy you kitchen sets - ceramic pans and copper pots- but you knew they were more to make sure her son was well fed than for you. You never protested. You were happy. But going online and coming to work, seeing all these beautiful dresses and gorgeous women made you feel self conscious at your drab wardrobe and out of season fits .

You didn't want to tell Cheol about your worries. Didn't want him to fight with his mom and cause more tension between the two of them, didn't want to feel silly for wanting such trivial things and most importantly didn't want to hurt his pride that he couldn't afford whatever you wanted. This dress seemed to be the perfect outfit that you could wear for dinner next week. It'd been almost a year since you last ventured into a gown and put on extra makeup. But with the kids asleep, Aria mesmerized in her book and still some time left before Cheol came home, you had gotten bold.

Letting down your hair, you applied some makeup and before you could look at your reflection, you heard a cry.

"Hana."

You had to get to her before she woke Hansol up too. Running to the kids room still in your dress you were met with a mess. Hansol had woken up too crying louder than his sister, who seeing competition had resorted to shrieking out.

Lifting up both your crying children, you carried them to the living room where Aria sat, still unbothered and buried in her book. You started pacing around the room, humming every lullaby you could think of, hoping to pacify your children. The microwave was beeping incessantly adding to the mix of loud sounds and you needed Aria's help.

"Aria baby could you please switch off the microwave? Just click on the "Stop' button once." Ever the obliging child, Aria walked over to the microwave. It all happened so fast.

One minute she was walking back, the next moment her eyes- still fixed on the book , glanced away from her surroundings slipping on the fabric you had tied to the leg of the table causing the table to jerk and you watched in slow motion as the candle you lit a few moments ago, to celebrate a good day, tumbled down.

With Godspeed, you ran to Aria, pushing her away milliseconds before the flames could touch her. Not expecting the push, the book went flying right into the candle, effectively burning up a page. Not so gently you placed your still crying babies down, rushing to stop the flames before they got big. Not able to locate anything in near vicinity you began to fan it down with your bare hands effectively adding more fuel to the fire. Just as you began to panic, a stream of water was thrown at the candle killing the fire. You watched in amazement as Cheol's stricken face came into your view. When did he arrive?

Right. The now three screaming children and smoke alarm blaring in the background had probably silenced his coming in.

How had a small candle caused the smoke alarm to roar? A burning smell infiltrated your senses. Oh. There goes your welcome meal you had planned to surprise your husband with, the evidence of which was burning on the stove. You wanted to put everything down and just walk away from the utter chaos that was your house and three screaming kids racing to be the loudest.

But you couldn't. You couldn't even give him a welcome kiss. Divide and conquer was the only way to diffuse the situation.

Cheol hoisted up Aria and Hansol who were now much calmer after having seen their Appa comforting hem and you picked up Hana who was now gnawing at your boob.

Ahh, she was probably hungry. Unzipping your side zipper, you placed her under, quietening her cries. Running to the kitchen to switch off the stove which you see has already been switched off. Ahh he must have been quicker than you thought. "Ahh eomma was playing dress up I see? Is that why she couldn't play tag with you?" You froze in place.

You knew he didn't mean anything by that, even going so far as to sending you a flirty wink after having given you a once over when picking up the kids.

But in this expensive dress you had brought without consulting him, adorning yourself in makeup on your day off and inadvertently setting Aria up by leaving that cloth on the corner, the guilt eating you alive, his offhand comment seemed to be the icing on the bitter cake.

The Scarlet Dress Debacle

Cheol was in bed, fully showered, having eaten his dinner and ensured that all three kids had been tucked tight.

But you were distant. He didn't know what caused that. He had made sure not to feed your guilt by commenting on the fire. He was in the right place at the right time and being a father to toddlers, he knew accidents were prone to happen anytime. He didn't blame you at all.

So why were you upset?. Thinking hard, the only probable explanation came to mind.

Ahh. He hadn't commented enough on your outfit. He didn't have it in him to spare more than a second glance, you had run into change back to pajamas while feeding Hana.

He placed a kiss on your shoulder, turning you toward him. You were not asleep , he knew that. On tiring days like this you snored. Not that he would ever admit that to you for fear of losing his family jewels. "You looked gorgeous in that dress babe. Stunning. Should have clicked a picture with you on it ." A rather long pause. In hindsight, he should have dwelled on that pause. "Really?" "Really darling. Red is totally your color."

You might have trained your husband to compliment you beyond the usual "sexy' and classic "ooh lala ' with a sleazy wink. Not that they never made you week in the knees. "Sorry I didn't come with you to the store to choose for Nana." Silence. What? "Nana?" "Yeah, it's her birthday next week right, didn't you buy this dress for her? It's alright I won't tell her you tried it out. Your secret's safe with me baby. The kids are not coming so you are extra safe. No snitches" Another soft kiss. You didn't buy this dress for Nana. You brought this for you. But Nana's birthday was coming up next week and you had forgotten to get her a gift. Not this dress though. But he didn't know that. "Wouldn't it be too loose on her?" "Nah she will alter it. She can afford that. It's fine babe." He didn't get your hesitance.

"It's just that-" A snore startled you. You felt terrible, wanting to argue with him over a dress when he was bone tired after a long day at work. But you couldn't sleep. The dress kept popping off in your head. It had felt right on you, just you. You missed the feel of it, soft on your skin and the hue matching your complexion. Red really was your color. Monday, after work you walk over to the study he had set up for himself in your bedroom. A pair of glasses perched on his nose, the table lamp casting a warm glow on his shiny lip, he looked extremely hot for lack of a better word. Oh. What a man. All he was doing was licking his lip poring over a stack of papers and yet you were weak in the knees.

Feeling an extra presence, he turned to catch you ogling at him shamelessly. Smirking he beckoned you over. Like a moth drawn to a flame, you sauntered over to him and sat in your destined seat- his thighs. Picking you up and placing you in a position more comfortable to him he kissed the top of your head returning to his task at hand. You didn't mind the silence. You needed peace and quiet to continue drooling over your husband. You never bothered with the finances anymore. Your whole life you had burdened yourself with financial choices for your family and after months of training Cheol how to file taxes, he had eased that burden from you. He was good with numbers after all. "Come back to me baby".

You were drawn away from your admiration for your man by a rude nudge.

"Hmm?" "Now you choose to respond? I have been calling you for for some time now." Oh you hadn't noticed that. Time flies slowly in dream land. As if to prove a point, his thumb came to wipe out the bottom corner of your chin, wiping your drool condescendingly. You turned to glare at him, his comical eyebrow wag making you giggle.

"I wasn't even-"

"Sure you were not drooling over me baby. Flattery's nice and all but not today horn dog." A long kiss on your lips leaving you breathless

How you quickly changed from that couple who couldn't keep their hands off each other to the ones who needed to schedule their sexy times was truly comical. He kissed your droopy shoulders and resumed writing down the expenditure for the month. For a man who resented his father, he did carry an uncanny resemblance to him.

Perhaps now was the best time to approach your topic. The one you had been pushing away for far too long. "Cheollie?" "Yes jagi?" "I want to talk to you about something."

Instantly he placed his pen down and lifted you up, maneuvering you to turn and meet his gaze. He never declined the opportunity to give you attention, when the topic was serious. Knowing you, you must have killed yourself with overthinking before making the move to approach him.

Now that you had his full attention you were blushing under his scrutinizing gaze feeling rather stupid for having this conversation in the first place. But you were in too deep and your husband wouldn't leave you till you told him so tell him you will. After a quick change in the topic that is. "Aria is pretty upset that a page got flamed, we need to buy a new book for her." "You are doing that thing again." "What thing?"

"That thing where you change the topic, according to how you fit the mix. Like right now, you were not coming over here to talk about Aria." "What's that supposed to mean?"

Is he implying you never talk about your children unless you needed something from him? "Oh my Y/n! I meant nothing wrong, please . stop . overthinking. love." To prove his point he kissed your forehead with every word. Well, too late for that. Shaking you to get you out of your downward spiral, he- "look it's late and I am hammered. I can't go to sleep without you in next to me asleep. Please tell me love. No judgements." Right. "It's just that-"

"Mhmm? " He gestured for you to continue talking , his full focused attention on you. "The dress? The scarlet one?" A small nod. "I want that. " Furrowed eyebrow. "-please."

" Didn't you buy this for Nana though?"

"I lied. I brought it for me." There was an angry tick on his face. He abhorred being lied to.

"I--." Fuck your palms were sweating. Why was this more harder than you thought?

"I wanted to buy something for my office dinner this weekend." "I thought you were not going for that."

Now when did you say that?

"I was called in for work remember? I have to take over Soonyoung's shift." Oh yeah. You had completely forgotten about that. "Can we send them to daycare though. I already missed out on the team retreat, Juria keeps insisting that I make it for this at least and I- I just want to go , client relations and what not." You both knew you were lying. You just wanted one night from the kids and husband all dolled up, in a nice hotel eating good food for free. That's all you wanted. He couldn't figure that out.

"Well if that's what you want to do, go for it love. We'll call in Nana to watch the kids." It was that easy?

He continued, "She'll be happy with the dress you brought for her. Works just as well, for both of us." Or not. You took a deep breath. " I want to wear the dress Cheol." He stared at you puzzled. "What's so special about this dress, love?"

"It's beautiful and you told me too."

You had resorted to stare at him petulantly. He was very confused now. Was he not giving you enough attention?

"You have all these outfits- it's all branded and in excellent quality." He began to laugh sardonically.

"They were all gifts baby. I didn't buy any of them." "I know, that's the point Cheolie, you have all this nice selection and I have nothing nice to wear to a party."

"That's not true. Remember the dress Eomma bought for you? You never wore it once, it's still brand new" How could you ever forget. The infamous red and green outfit your mother in law had 'gifted' you after many not so subtle insisting from her son. It was shimmery, extremely ill fitting around your boobs and overtly tight around the stomach.

The sleeves had flairs on them and worst of all, the dress was mix patterned- polka dots on top and stripes at the hem. It was hideous. For a woman as well put together as she was in terms of fashion, you knew this was a choice. But you didn't want to complain about that to her son. You couldn't add more grievances and create more fissure between the one parent who still reaches out. "But this looks better on me and I want to wear this." You were not above acting out like a child. You had plenty of inspirations to draw from. Cheol was laughing but you knew this was a way to mask his irritation at your behavior. "Don't you think are you being a little greedy love?" No sooner had the word escaped his mouth than he regretted it. Your rigid stance on his lap proved that was quite the triggering word. You folded like you had been slapped, staring at him with huge eyes.

'Greedy?' One night away from kids and a husband for a team dinner that was mandated by the office, in a dress that you wished to have and now you were suddenly greedy? Before he could redeem himself, you were out of his lap, patting down your cramped up legs agreeing to it all. "You are right, I am being greedy. I'll just call off the whole thing. I'll stay home with the kids. Hansol has been acting out recently, he does need me, I can tell and Aria- she keeps asking me for a Roald Dahl book, I could just buy that for her instead of whatever this is. How greedy of me indeed." "Oh come on Y/n that's not what I meant. Please let's talk this through love." "Y/nie."

"Y/n"?" But you had already settled down in bed storming off, not giving him the satisfaction to see your teary eyes. Swallowing down the weight in your throat, you stared at the wall in defiance. One more sleepless night. Still dreaming about the dress. You decided it's time to let it go now. After all, you could agree that it was indeed greed.

The Scarlet Dress Debacle

Park Juria was a woman of little words and several actions. A whirlwind to those around her, she kept up her facade of a ferocious young lady, choosing to revel in that reputation so as not let anyone walk all over her and the business she's built up from scratch.

But some people did get in, choosing to bring down those walls and penetrating those defenses. You were one such person. Extremely soft spoken, like a little lamb not given to any one's business but your own. She had taken you under her wing after seeing her team taking advantage of your kindness and your inability to say no. Had whisked you away from under all those papers weighing you down and forced you to a cafe. Your eyes had skittishly darted around the place, feeling out of place, eyes bulging out at the atrocious prices for a small latte. Not wanting to make you even more uncomfortable, she had brought you what she assumed would be a good enough order. Your cute smile and enlightened eyes after the first sip proved her theory right. Wanting to see more of that smile, she had ordered in two extra cheesecakes, a parfait and five more of their couture doughnuts.

You looked pleadingly at her and asked if she would think less of her if she could pack all these treats for her children at home.

Her heart squeezed at your softness. always thinking about your children and made up her mind that as long as she was physically able to, no one was going to take advantage of you and your warmheartedness ever again. Not on her watch. Which explained why bile rose in her throat seeing you wipe your tears furiously instead of finishing the day's work. She was going to get to the bottom of this. Employee Harassment was a real offense, you had risen up in your ranks, you couldn't be taking in others shit again. Who'd be so dehumanizing to add more extra work to a mother of three kids? "Choi Y/n, the boss wants to see you in her office right now please." Shit, was your unproductivity that obvious? It was just a bad day all in all.

"I-I can explain." "Sit down Choi." Before you began your string of apologies, she gave you a tissue to blow out your nose and thrusted a glass of water your way to hydrate you. Your red nose was a giveaway you had cried for far too long.

The Scarlet Dress Debacle

It's not everyday Choi Seungcheol gets called to the reception lounge and it's hell as not everyday, he gets to see Park Juria, or someone who he could assume was Park Juria, your boss looking down at him with absolute spite. If he was in her company, he'd know for sure that he was getting fired what with all the daggers he was throwing his way. "Choi Seungcheol you fucker." Needless to say he left the office room with his tail between his legs looking like a scolded puppy.

The Scarlet Dress Debacle

Despite multiple protests, your boss, worming her way to be your best friend had dropped you home and you were eternally grateful for that. You hadn't felt like using the public transport anyway.

Torn between using beef or chicken as the for protein for dinner, you had failed to notice the silence upon entering the door. There was no usual shove of hands reaching out to you. No book thrusted into your face and no winded Cheollie behind it all.

"Welcome home, my love." You were instead greeted by a small flicker of light from the passage. An array of candle lights, and a Choi Seungcheol standing there with a single rose, taking your breath away with a heart stopping smile. "D-did I forget something? Was it our anniversary? I am so sorry bab-" "No no, you forgot nothing love" in saying so, he pulled you closer to him wrapping his arm around the small of your back kissing your questions away.

One single kiss left you out of breath as you blinked up at him, your mind blank. Chuckling, he removed the bag from around your shoulder and chose the exact moment to hoist you up, wrapping your legs around him. He set you down after a long make-out session. No words were exchanged, but you both needed air.

Unlike you, he didn't look so disheveled, still looking dapper in the red suit his Eomma had gotten him for Christmas last year. There was a twinkle in his eyes, his pearly whites shining down at you. "W-what's happening?"

"Remember that scarlet dress?" "Oh here we go again! Cheol I am giving that outfit to Nana, period. you were right." "Hear me out love, I wasn't done." He was pouting at you, a finger around your lips. "Well you said you didn't get to take any pictures of you in that, and I was thinking, let's have an indoor date. Just you and me. The kids are at Hannie's for the day and before you start, Mingyu is there watching Hannie.

Alright Minseo is there, keeping an eye out on Mingyu. Let's have dinner in our best outfits and take some photos. We deserve to make some memories too. And no, you don't have to worry about Nana wearing what you already wore for a few hours, trial rooms exist and people wear what's already worn before." You suppose you could get behind that. You were also looking forward to wearing that dress again, if just for a few minutes. You loved it too much to let it go.

But also- "I gave Gyu a run down of everything the kids would need- Ari's eye drops, the part of Heidi's story they should avoid telling Sollie, all of your milk supplies for Hana and the recording of you singing their favorite lullaby in case they need you.

Ari has 'Elsa' , Sollie has his 'Anna' and Hana has her caterpillar plushie. Aria has promised to eat dinner, Sollie has promised to give no fuss to his uncles, and I could swear Hana swore to never cry more than once. Point is, kids are safe." Everything was said in one breath leaving you no room for interruptions. As if you could say any.

You were in awe of the man who knew you more than you knew him.

Still looking down at you with a fond expression, he tucked your hair behind your ears, using the other hand to undress you. He loved you when you were like this, pliant beneath his hands, just blinking at him with your starry eyes letting him have his way with you. After having undressed you down to just your chemise, he brought out that dress from behind him. "Where-?" "Shh love, no thoughts." Hushing you again with kisses. "Step in."

Tentatively you lifted your legs and stepped into the dress, watching him clad it around you. Goosebumps were rising along your body at his tenderness lifting your arms to fit around the sleeve.

Zipping you close , he took a step back and admired your form.

You had never felt more beautiful than right now. His eyes swept over every part of you admiring you in all fullness. "Gorgeous. my beautiful wife" "Says you, my handsome husband." He preened under your compliment.

"Why don't you fix your hair, and I will set the camera up?

"What's there on the menu?"

"Uhh ramen?"

Fair enough. You can't have it all.

You realize you hadn't seen a camera anywhere in the room , not that you could see much. Moving into the room you quickly fixed your hair, all disheveled and frayed apart. He had seen you like this and called you sexy? Blinded by love are we Choi?

Coming back out, you see Cheol wearing your purse around his shoulder? The man in question was stunned to silence looking at you. Accentuated by your curves, highlighted by the rosiness that brought out the best in you , you were definitely the focal point of his vision. Shaking his head as if to get him out of his reverie, he takes your hands and pulls you to the front door kneeling down and tapping against your shin.

Confusedly you move your leg and he brings out a pair of red heels.

Ohhh they were beautiful! What was going on? "Shh, love just enjoy the moment." He strapped on a pair of heels to your feet, giving your knee one fleeting kiss before standing up and taking your right hand, ushering you out the door. You had no idea what was going on but you were not complaining. Obviously. You loved dolling up and feeling beautiful.

Whisking you away to a car, he opens the door and pushes you in gently, strapping you in with the seat belt and giving you one more kiss. Walking back to the other door, he sat in the drivers seat turning to you. "Ready, love?"

You had way too may questions but you suppose he will answer them later. For now, you nod. And into the night you both race.

The Scarlet Dress Debacle

Through a fancy dinner that had you panicking at the prices but reassured by Cheol, he let you in on the secret. The past three weeks of grueling overtime had finally paid off, and he decided to use his extra finances to fund this special date night, even borrowing Hannie’s car. Any protest from you was swiftly silenced by his promise of 'three harsh kisses until you were soft again,' which was enough to make you concede. Never one to argue with a skilled kisser like him, you were eager to enjoy the evening, savoring a dinner and enjoying a moment with your beloved, not worried about fingers grabbing every bite or glass tumblers being toppled down by clumsy hands.

He apologized earnestly for his offhand remarks, and you quickly forgave him--his sorrowful bambi eyes always made you melt. He admitted that the whole thing was a ploy to get you to keep the dress; he loved how it looked on you, and more importantly, you loved it on yourself. Nana could wait for a better dress.

Despite the rule to never talk about the kids, you understood it was nearly impossible to avoid the topic when raising three rambunctious little ones. You hurried through dinner and rushed home to Hannie's, eager to reclaim your gremlins and prevent them from causing any more chaos for your poor friends.

With a haggard Sollie, a sleeping Aria cradled in his arms and a cross eyed Hana who was babbling non stop, possibly scolding you both for leaving her in ''Devil incarnates hands (Cheol's words), you walked hand in hand to the home you had built together.

Five years back, he had vowed that he will never make you unhappy again, and although you had told him it was easier said than done, he relinquished in the love and affection you wavered upon him, choosing to never take your love for granted.

Although he was a prodigal son to the nation, fallen from grace, leaning in your arms kept him afloat always.

CREDITS Dividers from @cafekitsune

Big shoutout to @svtiddiess for helping me get my facts straight with this one, thanks love! Author's Note

I know it's customary for one to credit their inspirations for a fic but before I do name drop the scene, can anyone temme if you know which popular book had this setting- wife impulse buying a dress and hiding from her husband? And the husband coming through. I want to be your best friend! Also, does anyone know the 'idjit and ninny' reference? You get a smooch.

Author's Note 2 A lot of this is puuuure indulgence, a lot of the scenes were cut out because it was too emotional for me to continue lol. Which explains the lack of cohesiveness. I made it slightly fluff. Please don't hate on any of these characters. This is what raw marriage looks like.

My next work I will be exploring the relationship between Cheol and Aria, if you hadn't picked up- he is not her father, if you are coming from the first fic, I have made the changes. Sliiide into my dm's or asks, I'd looove to chat Please read, comment and reblog! They help more than you think. TAGLIST

Tag yourself in the comments for the next work.

@skzbangchanniee I beat you again!

WARNING: blood, injuries

"Let's get you inside," YN struggles to bring Seungcheol inside as he put his weight on her, unable to walk properly due to his injuries. Seungcheol groans as he hits the YN's couch, trying his best to explain what happened to him, "Sorry, you're the one who came to my mind," Did you have ever leave my mind?

"You're hurt," YN said unamused while trying to treat his wounds. "Thanks for pointing out the obvi- Ah!" he hisses after trying to give her a snarky comment. YN scoffs and continues to tend him.

The silence is deafening. With her fingers tracing Seungcheol's skin, making sure that his wounds are treated well, he can't help but to study her face. The way her eyes focused, her brows are furrowed. As he reached his hand to remove her hair from her face, blocking his view-

"I'm done," YN uttered while cleaning up her first aid kits and bloody cotton. "Oh-right, thanks" he muttered, quickly retracted his hand.

"So, mind telling me what the hell happened to you?" YN turned around and crossed her arms. Seungcheol bring his head down and sigh, "There's a traitor in our agency. They tried to kill me but I managed to escape."

YN smirks and tilted her head, clearly amused. "You have 12 men who trust you, and you decided to come to me?" Seungcheol sat up straight, "I don't think I can trust them too," he chuckled dryly.

"Wow! The legendary Agent Choi, the best of the best, hunted down by the agency which he gave half of his life to them? I am honestly surprised that you think that your team would betray you rather than thinking about their safety," Seungcheol can feel that YN is mocking him by her statement.

Seungcheol furrowed his eyebrows and turned to her, "What's that supposed to mean?", "You think your team will betray you? Watching how they would do anything to save you from our last mission together, I doubt that." YN replied, stating the obvious. Realizing his action, Seungcheol started to think about YN's remark about his team. Where are they? Are they alive?

"Try contacting them. Who knows they might be dead by now," she taunted him, fishing his anger. "YN." he spoke through gritted teeth, trying not to imagined the worst scenario of his team. The lady raised her hands in surrender "I'm joking. Jeez.."

"I can't believe this..."Seungcheol mumbled before asking her, "I need your help, YN." She sat down in front of him and crossed her legs. "You know I don't do it for free," she smirks while leaning in, teasing him. He can't believe he asked for her help. "I know." he sighed while rubbing his temples.

He knows it will cost him. Maybe not now. And she's never going to live it down.

as a person who likes planning and doing surprises for my friends during their birthdays, i totally felt how reader was about to tear up when scoups knew about the surprise 🤣. imagine all the work you did to surprise your friend, the effort you put in making sure you hid the whole thing from them until the exact moment, just for them to say that they knew the whole time, i..... would be dejected 🥹. i would take it as a failure in my part lol.

but hey that didnt happen to any of my surprises yet so im pretty successful.......for now...

anyways, i love this idea 🤣 its endearing how coups still wanted to make sure reader's surprise didnt go to waste. he still appreciated the effort and wanted reader to know that 🫶 cheol seeing reader being happy that their surprise still works, which was for him, made him even happier like oh my gosh i need this man in my life 😩

ruined birthday surprise — choi seungcheol x reader

summary: in which you try your hardest to surprise cheol.

Ruined Birthday Surprise Choi Seungcheol X Reader

notes: happy cheol day! i was looking through my drafts and realized that i really loved this drabble now as much as i did when i first wrote it. ignore the fact that this was written around august of 2023 and i just never got around to posting it.

also, this is loosely based on stephanie soo's vlog. she's one of my favorites to watch, so i recommend her channel!

Ruined Birthday Surprise Choi Seungcheol X Reader

"Baby—"

"NO! Don't come in the kitchen yet!" You yelled, running to the kitchen door and slamming it in Seungcheol's face. You winced at the sound of the door slamming but you had to be strong, for the sake of his birthday.

"Uh, are you okay, baby?" Seungcheol asked.

"It's a surprise!" You called out, rushing to finish the final details of his cake.

For the entire day, you were going back and forth to different stores and to the house in order to prepare for Seungcheol's birthday. It was different this year since it was going to be only the two of you, his birthday party with family and friends scheduled the day after.

Once you made sure the cake looked good, you took the birthday hat you picked up specifically for him. "Come in!" you said.

As soon as Seungcheol entered the kitchen, he said, "I have something to tell you,"

This made you stop in your tracks, the birthday hat suddenly forgotten. "What? Did something happen?"

"...I knew you were preparing the whole time. I was watching you in the security cameras,"

"What?!"

"I was concerned! You were running back and forth!" Seungcheol defended himself.

You started tearing up, feeling like all your efforts into surprising him went into nothing since he knew the entire time. He panicked at the sight of you crying and he said, "I'll go back and pretend to be surprised!"

"Really?" you questioned, tears still in your eyes.

"Wait, you actually want me to do that?" Seungcheol incredulously asked.

You nodded shyly, which prompted him to say, "Okay, let me reenter the kitchen,"

You wiped your eyes and prepared the birthday hat again.

When he entered the kitchen, he looked around and put on a shocked expression, "Wow! This is such a surprise!"

"Now you're making fun of me," you whined, and he laughed and kissed your forehead.

He let you put on the birthday hat for him while he put a hat on you, insisting that you wear it with him.

"I'm not making fun of you, you're just so cute," he told you, pulling you close by your waist.

You dug your face into Seungcheol's shoulder to save yourself at least a bit of embarrassment, which failed miserably. He cooed at how shy you were being and moved you so he could cup your face into his hands.

"How about you can show me all the surprises? I only saw the cake and the balloons. Then you can tell me about your day," he offered.

Your eyes lit up at the fact that the birthday surprise wasn't completely ruined.

At the sight of your happiness, Seungcheol knew that as long as he got to see your face, his future birthdays would never be ruined.

☆ Sai do faike, Vani! Nem precisava colocar no anônimo, sabe? Odeio você, por sinal! 🤨

it's in the middle of the night and sleep just doesn't come to seungcheol, he's restless and no matter how many times he tosses and turns into his side of the bed, there's no position that will soothe him into slumber.

so he finds himself getting carried away by his thoughts, thoughts about the person sleeping next to him. your back is facing while he lays limply on his back, staring blanking at the ceiling. memories flash in front of his eyes, suddenly recalling the time you confessed your love to him, the way your cheeks had burned with a bright scarlet red made his lips curl softly into a soft smile. the way you had two years ago, hooked your index finger around his own, asking him to hear your feelings out. strangely enough, he could still recall the soft lingering of your fingertip against his. his heart tickled either a nice warmth spreading into his chest.

that time when he had lost his mind over a very important project that had accidentally got cancelled from the database of his computer, deleting months of blood sweat and tears as if it had never been there, you had been there to guide him into your arms, bringing him back to reason again. truthfully, there were so many things that the two of you had steadied each other through that he was  so sure of himself when he thought of your relationship.

as if there was nothing that could break the two of you apart.

the love, the adoration that suddenly pooled inside of his heart overwhelmed him, there was so much of it; it felt as if it was going to overflow, how could his small heart bear such strong feelings all at once? it left him breathless, he loved you so much he just had to let you know.

before he could help himself, he had already turned around, his eyes meeting the sight of your beautifully shaped shoulders, your frame slightly rising and falling as you breathe. seungcheol's arms tentatively snake ever so carefully around your waist, his chest coming in contact with your back, head leaning into the crook of your neck where a sweet scent of soap lingered gracefully. his lips remained next to your ear as he called your name a few times, hoping that his voice would break through your dreams.

it did.

you stirred awake, rather confused by the fact that he was waking you up in the middle of the night.

“seungcheol?” you croaked, voice dry and filled with sleep, “what's wrong?” your voice was a mere whisper in the night when you shuffled to face him, noticing the foreign expression on his angelic face. there was something different in his eyes, they sparkled like they always did, though it felt different, the emotions within them deep, so deep that you felt like you'd need to dive into them to figure them out.

his plump lips parted ever so slightly, though no words came out, a feeling of his throat closing up, he didn't know how to say this without making it sound any less than it was. his dark hair fell into soft curls on his forehead, almost reaching his innocent and sweet eyes.

“i–” he started, struggling to find the right words.

“i just love you,” he breathed out, feeling his heart burst within his chest, crashing violently against his ribs, a wild storm taking place within him.

he loves you.

“so much,” he continued into a whisper, his hand reaching to cup around your cheek, as he scooted closet, eyes searching for yours, still feeling like what he said could never cover the emotions he had for you.

“i love you so much. i needed to tell you that, i don't why i just–” seungcheol didn't know if he had been able to get his words to sink down properly in the middle of the night when slumber was barely keeping you awake, his fingertips tickled your skin with their warmth as they spread across your cheek, reaching down your jaw and neck, your face fitting so perfectly in the space of his palm.

he was to be surprised when you pressed your slightly dry lips to his palm, leaning affectionately into his touch.

“i love you too, seungcheol.”
