Kagome sighed as the sun beat down relentlessly on her back. It had, once again, been a trying day for the time-traveling priestess.
It was the end of the summer, and the weather had been unforgiving. But that was normal for the season. What was also normal was Inuyasha's unyielding complaining about how weak humans were; due to needing more rest and water breaks than normal.
What wasn't normal, however, was the never ending feeling of eyes on her back.....

Ideas...
I have been trying to play with this app that was recommended to me on here. These aren't perfect (obviously), but they gave me some ideas for future chapters!
In this scene, I'm thinking Sesshomaru misunderstands a situation Kagome is in after realizing his feelings for her.
This would be a gloating scene on Sesshomaru's part, though Kagome would be oblivious to ot. I'm thinking Koga...
This week's update will be a little late...
I have now been awake for 51 hours straight & my brain is mush.
I'll have it up ASAP

Late update for this week. Honestly, I don't like how this chapter turned out. That's why it took so long. But I needed to get it done to move forward. My next few chapters are just about ready, so I'll just upload them as I finish until I catch up to 12 chapters total.

I went ahead and updated this one today too. It's 3x as long & I like it better. Still having difficulty ending chapters less abruptly, but I'm working on it.

Update!
Hey everyone, sorry I've been MIA these last 2 weeks. I've had some medical stuff going on & wasn't in a good head space to write anything coherent.
My son got a staph infection, my lupus flared up & I developed a blood clot in my calf. On top of medical, my cars transmission is shot & I have to get my house tested for lead by the city before I can have my roof redone. It's a lot 😅
But I managed to pump this chapter out & have 2 more almost done. I've kind of lost direction with this story, so for now I'm going to just see where it goes lol. I'm going to try to post more than one chapter at a time going forward because I'm going to *attempt* to write a few drabble style chapters (just to move things along).
I'd like to get this story done by December so I can work on finishing some of my other ongoing works that have been on hiatus for years.

Almost done with another chapter!
Once it's done, I'll be doing a bonus double update! We've got our first attempt at a new characters pov along with a fluff(ish) scene! I'll also be uploading my first attempt at a drabble chapter!

Sesshomaru watched as the Miko quietly walked away from the campsite. Pain and depression radiated from her aura, causing Sesshomarus instincts to be on edge.
It was unnatural, the dynamics of their pack. Unlike what would be expected, the Miko herself presented as the alpha rather than a son of the greatest alpha to ever live, as one would expect.
And the disrespect she suffered at the hands of her first packmate as an alpha was unheard of. It made him wonder if she even understood her position as leader of the group.

Hey everyone!
I wanted to touch base with yall since we've wrapped up the first segment of CKTD!
Couple of notes:
1. I've decided each arc will end with Narakus POV.
2. I've decided the arcs will be 14-18 chapters long each.
3. More action & romance to commence in arc 2.
4. I plan on wrapping everything up in 3 arcs.
