Thanks so much for the tag @cowboybrunch! This seems like a lot of fun, and I'm doing it with Nathaniel, love interest of The Tengu And The Angel! He's one of my favorite OCs that I've ever made, and I love not shutting the fuck up about him lol...Here's some art of him:

He is a fashion designer living in Newcastle, England, with his boyfriend, Kunio. He was abandoned by his mother at the age of three, and grew up in care, and he’s painfully insecure and really needs to feel needed in order to live, no thanks to his shitty childhood, and his toxic ex, Theo. Theo was his only friend growing up, and he once saved Nathaniel’s life, a fact that he held over Nathaniel’s head for years, and used as an excuse to manipulate and control him. Oh, and here’s a snippet summarising Nathaniel’s relationship with Theo:

“When I met Theo, I was in a really bad place. But then he came along, and he told me everything I needed to hear,” he says, “He said that he needed me, and that he’d die without me. He made me feel like I was the only one who understood him, and because I was the only one who understood him, I was the only one who could save him.”

As for what song I think fits him best, easily Cough It Out by The Front Bottoms. Case in point, these lines:

I think that after he cuts contact with Theo, he fully realises that Theo’s supposed ‘love’ for him wasn’t love at all, and it was just a means to control Nathaniel, and remain the ‘number one’ person in his life. Even so, Nathaniel doesn’t have the heart to be angry with Theo, even if only because he would’ve died without Theo stepping in when they were kids.

i love any excuse to talk about Theodore from Burden of the Reluctant Death

Theodore (Theo) is a grim reaper that is fascinated by the living. He loves his little human friends, but Death punishes him (and them) for his impertinence. He falls in love with Rosalie, and in trying to protect her from Death's wrath, he learns more about himself than he ever wanted to know.
