Inktober 2015 - Day 18 : brush inking and ink wash The Crow Boy’s natural habitat is rooftops and windowsills. What’s this? A proper background? Astonishing! Although not completely without laziness, as this roof is basically the roof of my local church.
Inktober 2016 - Day 12 : gel pen The Crow Boy doesn’t mean to be creepy, but he usually is anyway.
Inktober 2016 - Day 27 : brush inking and ink wash
I’ve never drawn the Crow Boy dolly-style before. It doesn’t really suit him, which presents a problem because it really suits Lottie, but they come from the same place so they really have to be drawn the same way. Hmmm.
Inktober 2017 : Day 25 - cartridge pen
Lottie is fairly sure she shouldn’t be talking to the Crow Boy, but she doesn’t really want him to leave either.
Inktober 2018 : Day 21 - gel pen
The Crow Boy appears in dark places, by means best known to himself. Finishing crosshatching like this makes me want to yell triumphantly like it’s the end of an anime training montage.

Inktober 2022 Day 2: Pentel Pocket Brush
I usually use crosshatching on the crow boy, so it was interesting to see how flat black looks.

Inktober 2022 Day 24: uni-ball eye fine tip
I spent about 6 hours on trains on this day, so this was done on a moving train. I also used a pen I found on the platform because I thought I should obey the obvious promptings of fate.

Aw thanks! I've never read the Sandman comics properly, but I looked it up and I do see the resemblance! I think the crow boy would be flattered by the comparison (and by being called wonderful). <3
