other tenants of the building include: -Picard (the head of the college that Data attends) and Q (no one really knows what he does, he just pops in and out whenever he pleases) -Troi (high school guidance counselor) and Riker (personal trainer) and Worf used to live here too but he moved out -Beverly (still a doctor) and Wesley (burnt out college freshman) -Barclay (works at Blockbusters w/ Data and Geordi) -Guinan (bartender of a secretly gay bar)

Can’t stop thinking about Geordi’s intense need for structure and the ability to anticipate needs on his romantic relationships.

His failed date with a real actual other person being an indicator of what he thinks he needs to do and to be. His process is very I’m abc she’s xyz so I should do this intense/shortsighted at best creepy/controlling at worst Thing.

It seems like Geordi can only handle being in a relationship if things are predictable and have controllable variables, case and point Leah Brahms on the holodeck.

He made her more predictable, because he’s uncomfortable with what he can’t predict, with the unexpected. It’s why he sucks so incredibly bad at real life romance because that’s what most real relationships are made out of.

But you know who is predictable and structured and thinks the world of him already? Frickin DATA!

He knows where he stands with Data, Geordi understands Data in a way similar to how Deanna and Wesley understand him (psst, it’s the autism). But Geordi has the added benefit of literally knowing how Data works on a technical level, he and Crusher work in tandem whenever Data is hurt.

He literally sees Data in a way nobody else does, Data actually glows for Geordi in a way no one else can see. Geordi may not always be able to fully predict what’ll happen to Data, but he’s the best at estimating how Data would respond.

Geordi knows him, knows he feels even if Data is constantly in denial about it. In a way he never seems to connect with anybody else, not anybody flesh and blood. Geordi is noticeably attracted to women who are like Data and all I can think is “You fool! Data’s literally right there stop being So Goddamn Weird around that woman and go vibe with your robot bf!”

Anyway, Geordi is either bi/gay or demiromantic or both and pretty much never pieces it together fully and it drives me INSANE

I drew something that came out a little boring, so I decided to try something different to spice it up! I was inspired by the "save data before closing?" message that Medibang serendipitously gave me when I closed a drawing of Data, and the fact that Nightshade tagged the comic in my last post as "love." (I didn't change the tag because yeah buddy, it sure is!!)

Also yes Data is apparently running UTAU in his brain or something, because I ran out of things to add so I rendered a big UST and took a screenshot lol.

Haha Geordi is short

i posted this before, but i never added the alternative season 1 versions or the season 1 riker & picard heads

I always love how Geordi is never truly weirded out by anything Data does or specifically if he does something strange when learning human behavior. Everyone else just gives Data this look because their weirded out but Geordi just looks at him and raises an eyebrow, and yeah he could be giving him the look behind his visor as well as the rest of them but I don't think so. He's never weirded out by Data's Data-ness just mildly surprised and questions him like "What do mean Data?" in a gentle voice
