ugh hes gonna get so tangled

ok genuinely tho spamton is severely insane and heres why

according to canon spamton used to be just "THE E_MAIL GUY" until he became ⏃ BIG SHOT, then he lost his popularity and became corrupted and insane

this man is so insane that even things around him become corrupted. the alleyway his dumpster is in, his shop, the trash zone, everything

his dialogue is glitched and makes no sense, you can barely understand what hes saying OR his meaning

defining the literal definition of insanity, he keeps trying to make it big but doesnt realize that the same tactics just arent working. only luck got him popular, and not even on his own terms. he had someone help him the whole time

not to mention his morals. im not one to doubt that spamton was once ⏃ nice guy, but now? this man has attempted murder for his own benefit. he can and will use whatever he can for his own selfish benefit, like using ⏃ teenager to do the dirty work for him to become [[GOD]]

even in snowgrave where kris (unwillingly) forces noelle to freeze all the darkners, spamton still find ⏃ way to make the duo help HIM. and not for free either, he still makes u pay to buy his thorn ring to inevitably kill your classmate berdly

theres also ingame proof that this is not his only time trying to make someone help him with his plan. hes asked the sweet capn cakes trio to help and even swatch, but both of them denied. we dont know how many others he could have asked. he just doesnt realize trying the same thing again and again doesnt work.

and the literal definition of ⏃ psychopath is an absence of empathy, which spamton clearly does not have. hes also narcissistic, as he believes he is an "honest man" when in reality he couldnt be more the opposite. hes bold, too bold, he lies oh-too-often- ⟟ mean what more can ⟟ say here

everybody be drawing and writing what happens after kris beats spamton but no one discusses what it would really look like if kris died to spamton (dont forget the whole fun gang if its ⏃ normal, sane route and not fucking snowgrave)

is it bc it would be "too much"? havent thought about it? well ⟟ got u ⏃ writing/drawing prompt, draw/write what u think would happen when kris/fun gang loses to spamton neo

oh this reminds me of early chapter 2 where there was this glitch in the spamton neo fight where if it was just ralsei alive he didnt get the "snapped desperately" flavor text and the fandom went CRAZY (admittedly ⟟ did too but shhhh) just to find out it was an error toby made and it got fixed later

also another one where ⟟ could be wrong about this but there was some text in the spamton neo fight that only showed during snowgrave, but it was ⏃ glitch and toby made sure to correct it to match the normal route too (the text in the cool special attack he does)

Hopping onto what darkangel said about dumb thoughts about Deltarune, do you think Toby Fox ever imagined or planned out the Blue Addison like he did? Just on the fact that they're blue.

Blue Addison has like, one line of dialogue that people have taken, and fans have made them primarily the most nice and sympathetic towards Spamton. But also, in contrast to the other Addisons who have warm colors, Blue Addison is well. Blue. A color that a lot people associate with sadness and grief.

It makes for some awesome fanfics and fanart but I can't help but wonder if that color choice by Toby was intentional, lmfao. <3

honestly i've assumed it's a fandom color bias with blue characters expressing grief (I'll admit I fell into this trap just a bit with my own blue addison interp but it is a great observation)

it's interesting to think about, being a blue addison is the last one you talk to in the spamton-backstory-exposition-line, and who gives the (in my opinion) most jarring end-all line to a build up that is spamton's story. It's a great, dramatic line, and the mention of 'garbage noise' is one of our first clues to what's going on with Kris's cell in the dark world.

With fanfic making the blue addison the most sympathetic, I do think that ending line does portray a lot of regret just based on its wording, but you could say the same with the other addisons' lines. All of them seem to have the same, uniform hostility towards spamton in cyber city, but in the garbage zone is where things change in all of them too. Like, if you swapped out the addisons delivering that line, I don't think anything would change due to the fact they're pretty much all the same character, which i do think was intentional because that makes spamton's story of standing out and separating himself from the addisons that much more impactful.

overall i don't think colors play a part in it canon-wise. i think the addisons were designed that way to match the aesthetic of cyber city (which is primarily blues, pinks, and yellows) rather than something more in-depth. with that said, we love our background characters and the fun of fanfic/fanart is bringing a little bit of a spotlight to those who i don't think were intended to have a spotlight in the first place
