Y/N ran through the dark streets of the isle, long held in tears streaming down his face as he weaves through the people. He hated his mom, he hated his life, he hated everything, and most importantly..

He hated his sister.

[1 day before]

"Evie!! Come with me this instant, we are due for a very important meeting with the others." Y/N heard his mom yell, and in curiosity he goes down from his small attic like bedroom and makes his way to the front door where his mom stood.

Nervously he looks up, "Um, mother? Where are you going?" He asked sheepishly, and he watches as she looks down at him. Disgust growing on her face.

"That is none of your concern boy."

With hesitation he speaks again, "...can I go with? I'll be quiet and-" a scoff from his mother interrupts him, "You annoying brat, not everything is about you. You are not going with, you have no purpose to, you would be absolutely useless and I don't need you embarrassing me in front of the others. You're as worthless as your father was."

Y/N's head falls as he looks at the floor, he shouldn't have asked. Just then Evie finally makes her way out of her room, their mother leaving the house mumbling that she's waiting outside for her.

Evie doesn't even spare a glance at her younger brother, eyes too focused on the small mirror in front of her as she fixes her lipstick and walks out as well.

The door shuts behind her and Y/N is left in the silent and empty house...again.

The next day is just as quiet as the day before, both Evie and his mom not at the house. In boredom, he turns on the T.V, flicking through the very few channels that were available at the isle, then one thing catches his eye.

He watches as an announcement was made how four VK's had been chosen to attend Auradon prep for a new chance in life...and he watches as his sister and her friends appeared on the screen. Standing by this sleek black car by the gate.

Before Y/N even realized he had bolted out the door, heart pounding against his chest. She couldn't leave, She couldn't leave him alone with their mother, He needed her.

Pushing his legs to the max, he finally spots the group and car way off in the distance. Maybe he could make it and convince her to let some other kid go.

They all get in the car...

"EVIE HANG ON! WAIT!!" He yells, but to far away for her to hear.

The car door closes and the engine starts...

He runs faster. Eyes wide with unshed tears. "DON'T GO!! EVIE PLEASE DON'T LEAVE!!"

The car starts to drive away...

"NO!!!" Y/N reaches out, the unbalance making his overworked legs buckle and he falls to the ground. Looking up and catching the magic gate slowly closing behind the car.

She's gone. And he didn't even get to say goodbye.

He quickly stands up, heart still beating quickly as he looks around. He felt so lost... Y/N turns and runs again, going wherever his feet take him.

[Back to present moment]

He had ran all the way to the other side of the isle. The smell of salt water and fish everywhere. Y/N finally stops at a cliff, the dark water below hitting against the rock, as if it tried to reach for him.

He hadn't planned this, to come here, and to find the water looked so welcoming. Like it whispered to him that all his problems would fade away if he is fell in.

He couldn't go back home, he couldn't go back to his mother alone.

Y/N closes his eyes, maybe he could...

"Hey, kid." Someone calls out, causing the boy to spin around quickly. Eyes wide in panic.

The girl in front of him raises her hands in surrender. She looked around Evie's age, she had blueish braids that flowed from under a pirate hat.

"I'm not here to hurt you or anything, a person in my crew had spotted you and I just came up here to make sure you weren't about to raid my ship."

His brows furrow in confusion at her words, he looks back over the cliff and just now notices the rugged boat off to the left. "Oh..I didn't even notice, I-Im sorry I didn't mean to make you think that, its not why I'm here." Y/N stutters, shrinking in on himself. Wishing he could disappear already.

The girl just shrugs, "Yeah I figured." She pauses for a moment, looking the younger boy over. "...You Evie's brother?" She suddenly asked.

"...yeah...um Y/N." His face saddens st her words.

She raised her brow at that, "I'm surprised you came to this side of the isle then." He looks surprised at that, what did his sister do? "I didn't know I wasn't supposed to, did my sister do something?" Y/N asked cautiously.

"I wouldn't say that, just have a bit of a rivalry with her group is all, did she not tell you?" She questioned.

He shakes his head, "we don't really talk a lot anymore."

A silence falls over the two, before the girl speaks up again. "Tell you what kid, why don't you come back to my ship with me, me and my crew were just about to head out and get some food."

Y/N thinks about it for a moment, he didn't want to go home."Okay.."

"Great, your with Uma now kid." She smirks down at him, putting her arm over his shoulder as she leads him to the boat.

Y/N waits in the birds nest for Harry and Gil to return, Uma had sent them out on a mission. And after about ten minutes he spots them coming in through the tunnel, Gil carrying someone on his shoulder.

Hurriedly, he grabs the rope he tied to the nest and slides down it, running to greet them at the front of the boat. "Oi there squirt!" Harry calls out smirking as th boy gives him a hug.

"Hey! Hi Gil!" Y/N says, bright smile on his face that Gil gladly returns.

Suddenly he felt an arm around his shoulder, but he knows exactly who it was. "Good job you two, tie him up against the post. Its time to wait for our old friends to arrive." Uma says darkly. Harry smirks and bows "Aye aye captain."

She then looks down at Y/N, ruffling his hair. "Go ahead and wait in my cabin kid. I'll fill you in here soon." He nods and goes over to Uma's cabin, laying in the bed she set up for him a while back.

He waits there for a while, not that he minded though, but all of the sudden he hears a bunch of commotion. Yelling that was very muffled and he couldn't make out. What was going on?

He steps out of the cabin and walks towards Uma, seeing Gil and Harry close to her. "What's happ-" he stops mid way as he looks up, making eye contact with someone who he thought he'd never see again...

"Y/N?!" Evie called out, confusion and shock on her face.

He couldn't pull his eyes away from her, his chest starts to heave as that day flashes in his eyes. He only snaps out of it when Uma lays a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"Lets not get distracted now, you know the deal. No wand, no crown." She calls out. And then the exchange happens, they hand Uma the wand and we give them the guy Harry and Gil took which was Prince Ben.

The crew watches in anticipation as she goes to use it, their faces drop when nothing happens. It was fake.

"GET THEM!" She calls out, and a big fight breaks out. Y/N goes to hide back in the cabin when he feels an arm pull him to the side. And he was now once again staring into his sisters eyes.

She looked upset, "Y/N what are you doing over here? These people are dangerous." He shakes his head at that. "No they arent, they actually take really good care of me."

Evie's eyes widen at that, "Take good care- how long have you been here??" She asks.

"How long has it been since you left." He says with bitterness. And she freezes at that. Looking over Y/N. He had changed a lot, his hair was longer, he had gotten taller, and you could faintly see the fuzz of facial hair starting to grow in. "It...its been a while hasn't it?" She said sadly, much to her surprise though, the younger sibling just scoffs.

"Don't even act like you missed me Evie. I didn't exist to you anymore. You left me with mom, you didn't say goodbye. Which I don't even know why I thought you would, you'd never even help me when mom would yell." Her heart stings at that, how could she let this happen?

Evie thinks hard, before her face lights up. "Come with me, I'll take you to Auradon and you can stay there with me. Its so much better then the isle Y/N you'll love it there, and I can make up for everything and we can spend time-"

"No." He says dryly, not even giving her the chance to finish. And her heart breaks. The group calls put to her as they head towards the exit, and Evie knows she has to go. "Please?"

He shakes his head at her plea. "Why would I run off with someone I barely know." Y/N then turns and heads towards the cabin again, hearing Evie's footsteps run off as she escapes with the group.

Uma grunts in annoyance at this. Sighing in exasperation. And then she feels a hand on her back. "Don't worry Uma, we'll get out of here soon." Y/N softly smiles, and watches as she slowly relaxes.

The crew heads down to the fish and chip shop to wind down. Even though they lost this battle, laughs and banter echo around them, and in the front of the group, Uma leads walking and saying something small here and there, rolling her eyes at Harry's bad jokes and Girl's innocence. Y/N sat on top of Gil's shoulders as he laughed with them. He would never leave these people.

He would never leave his family.

Harry Hook x Male!Reader

Audrey Rose, the most popular and recognizable child of Aurora and Phillip. But not many people know or realize that she has a twin brother, Y/N.

He doesn't blame people for not knowing his lineage, he was the complete opposite of his sister. He preferred comfort over style, singularity instead of popularity, and quiet rather than loud. The only one Y/N really talked to was Ben, who would often hang out with the twin when he courted his sister. But even when the VK'S came and he got with Mal, Ben still showed his friendship and even introduced him to the darker group.

And Y/N loved the VK'S.

They just didn't care, and he admired that, without having to talk to much he became close to the small group. They almost took him under their wing and looked out for him. Basically, he never had any issues with Chad once the VK'S started hanging out with him.

So when he heard about Mal running back to the isle and the plan to get her back. He begged to go along. Ben disagreed at first but with some convincing Y/N was allowed to go with.

He had never been so excited for something before, as Evie dressed him and Ben up the clothes felt so nice, the darker tones of red and grey felt suiting, she even made his outfit to be incorporated as a hoodie which he loved.

And then finally they were off.

Ben was very nervous about being there, but with some guidance from Evie, Jay, and Carlos, they got the ways down quite quickly.

They finally made it to Mal's hideout, and Ben went up to talk to her. Y/N waiting for him to return at the bottom of the steps with the others. Though the stomping of his footsteps proved their conversation didn't go to well.

"She's not coming." Ben said annoyed and stomped off through the streets. The others paced and tried to get the attention of Mal. But Y/N ran off to catch up with Ben.

After a small jog he's back at his side, "T-try not to worry to much Ben. Mal's going through a lot, I'm sure she'll come around here soon." He said in a soft tone, trying to comfort the soon to be king.

But Ben just sighs and shakes his head, "I doubt she will, I pushed her to far.."

The two turn a corner, when suddenly they see 2 other shadows, with a low chuckle one spoke. "Well ain't this just perfect, Uma will be please with this catch. A king and a prince, aye now that's somthin' special."

They step into the light, the taller one had a kind smile on his face surprisingly, his eyes set on Ben. "I knew I recognized you Ben! My dad wishes yours would rot in the underworld by the way." Y/N was confused by the guys happiness, and turned to look at the one the spoke earlier, only to find his eyes already on him.

The boy in the red coat smirked, twirling the handheld hook in his hand. "That you did Lad. Now, lets get this crown an' beauty to Uma." And then everything went black. But Y/N wasn't scared, he only thought one thing.

Did that VK really recognize him?

Y/N slowly opens his eyes, the smell of salt water stinging his nose. He squinted and looked around, eyes adjusting to the light, he tries to move, but he finds himself tied up to a pole.

A light chuckle makes him look up, "Welcome back sleepin' beauty, sorry ya didn't geta kiss like your mum." The boy from earlier smirked, but instead of feeling threatened, Y/N's heart skipped a beat, cheeks turn a light shade of red.

"...w-who are you?" He asks in a small voice, earning a large smile from the other boy. "How rude of me, tha names Harry, and I'm sure this piece o' metal can help ya fill in the rest." He answers, twirling it around once again.

He just nods, putting together he was Captain Hooks son. "Your a quiet one aint ya. Never really talkin' much at those fancy meetings up there." Harry comments, a teasing smirk on his face as he looks him up and down.

Y/N's eyes widened at that, "You've.. noticed me? You know who I am?" He asks in such a quiet voice it was barely a whisper. And he watches as Harry's face falls for a second. He goes to answer when Ben starts to wake up. And that crazed facade comes back as he turns his attention onto the young king.

After a few minutes though the other boy who helped capture him who he learned to be Gil announced Mal and the groups arrival. They had actually brought the wand. But when she pretended to use it on dude, Y/N knew that something wasn't right.

But Uma believed it.

Harry cuts the ropes off of Ben and Y/N, complaining about how his fun was ruined, though it felt almost as if his touched lingered a little longer than normal when he cut the ropes off of Y/N.

Then Mal and Uma trade, and the two royals were back with their group.

Mal starts trying to rush Ben away as Uma attempts to use the wand, and like he suspected, it didn't work. And then a big fight breaks lose.

Y/N fights, but nothing to harm anyone, he couldn't do any such thing. Finally they get space between them and the pirates and are getting ready to make an escape, until-

"BEAUTY!!" Y/N hears Harry yell, he looks back and makes eye contact with him, the pirate smirks, still dripping wet from grabbing his hook out of the water, clothes clinging to his body.

"I always noticed ya!" He yells again, answering Y/N's question from before.

He felt is face flare up and his heart drop as he stare into the other boys eyes. Only for the contact to be broken by Jay pulling him to follow out.

In a daze Y/N followed, mind and heart hooked on the pirate that had noticed him..

When Ben went to his fathers about letting VK'S into the isle, he never imagined that one of his dads would embrace it so much.

Y/N was the more calm and understanding one of the couple, so while Adam was worried and skeptical about letting them in. Y/N encouraged it, even convincing his husband to go with it.

While the beginning was rough, things slowly started to fall into place, and as Ben and Mals relationship bloomed, his dad Y/N was making one for himself.

When they first met properly it was an accident, Y/N was walking down the long halls of the palace to the library when a small talking dog suddenly ran into his legs.

"I am NOT taking a bath, I hate water, go back to being scared of me and leave me alone." The dog spoke, and Y/N chuckled. Picking up the same animal.

"Your not very good at running away if your just going to run into another person." He said, and the dog groaned at being captured. And after a spilt second, A head of white and black hair comes sprinting around the corner. Only to stop abruptly at the sight of one of the kings holding his pet.

Carlos bows his head, not really knowing what to do. "I-Im sorry your highness! I didn't mean to let him run loose in the castle, he slipped from my hands and-" Carlos was cut off by a laugh.

"You can look up, I'm not mad at all. I needed some entertainment to my boring day." Y/N smiles at the boy. "If I'm not mistaken, you are Carlos correct?"

His eyes widen at that, not expecting the king to address him so nicely. "Yeah, I am." Y/N smiles at that. "Well its nice to meet you, and your dog is..?"

Before Carlos can even answer the dog spoke for himself, "Its dude, and I am NOT taking a bath." Y/N laughs harder. "I'm afraid your wash is inevitable, but perhaps if Carlos is willing, it could be stalled?" He looks up at the teen.

"What do you mean?" Carlos asks.

"I was about to head down to the library, its my favourite place to relax. But it gets lonely as well. Would you care to join me?" Not expecting that answer, Carlos's eyes widened. He thought for a moment before nodding. "Yeah, it could be fun."

So the two walked to the library together, along with dude. Chatting about anything and everything.

That was how it started, and they got closer. The attention of the adult that Carlos got was unlike anything he received. If wasn't the tight lipped smiles like the staff, or the manipulative love like his mother.

No.

Y/N cared. He had genuine interest in Carlos as a whole. He helped with school, teen drama, sports, advice, when he just needed to rant. Carlos could almost say he was like a dad to him.

But as their Visits became more frequent. His friends started to get curious. He doesn't know why but he didn't want to tell them of his relationship with one of the kings.

So any time they would ask, he would blush and mumble some random excuse. Making sure to bring dude with him and bolting out of the dorms.

But they were all to curious now, and one day was the final straw.

Today sucked to put it lightly. Carlos spent all week studying for this test, and despite Y/N's advice he stayed up all night too, getting no sleep. And it was all just to fail.

And then during lunch he slipped and spilled mash potatoes and gravy all over himself.

But to top it all off, Chad was unrelenting in targeting him during practice. And it was to much.

On the brink of tears, Carlos storms into the dorm room to change.

The rest of the group was relaxing in the room waiting, looking at Jay to try and find answers to which he just shrugged.

When the over stimulated boy came back out of the bathroom the group immediately began to express their worries.

"What's wrong?" Evie asked.

"Did something happen?" Mal added.

"If you need to talk we are here you know?" Jay said, and the whole group nodded. But without a word Carlos ran out. And dude, knowing where he was going. Jumped out of bed to follow.

All of them being extremely worried for their friend. They followed as well.

Y/N was going through some documents when his office doors were burst open. He opens his mouth to chastise the person when he looks up and sees the very distraught boy there. Panting with water eyes.

His eyebrows furrow with concern and he stands, immediately going to him. "Carlos? What's the matter?" Y/N asks, but instead of getting an answer, the teen hugs him tightly, and he cries.

The kings heart clenched at this. He embraces Carlos tightly while gently rubbing his back. "Shhh its alright, just breath."

Soon enough dude comes running in, immediately sitting at their feet, wanting to help comfort the boy as well.

What Y/N wasn't expecting was seeing his friends and even his son staring with wide eyes. But he shoots them a gently smile. One that promises an explanation later.

He makes eye contact with Ben, and as if they had a silent conversation. His son nods and softly closes the door to his office.

Turning his attention back to Carlos, he notices that the boy has calmed down. Unwrapping his arms to wipe his eyes.

"What's going on Carlos?" Y/N asks in a soft voice.

The teens sniffs, shaking his head and taking a deep breath. "Today really sucked and I-... I don't know if I'm cut out for this." He responds quietly.

Y/N smiled sadly. "Well, can I tell you a story?"

Confused, Carlos just nods. And the king took a deep breath before starting.

"You see, A long time ago, there was this boy. He grew up in a small town that had a very fixed mindset. But you see this boy didn't like to be stuck in that mindset. All the people viewed him as weird. His likes and dislikes were so uncommon that many would talk about him behind his back, or so they thought but he heard everything."

Closing his eyes he pauses, before continuing.

"It was like that for most of his life, until he finally found someone else who wasn't like the others, and while it took a lot of warming up. They eventually fell for each other. This other man cared about his interests and didn't reject them. He helped the boy grow and see more of what he liked. And the boy helped the other to become a better person. And just like any cheesy love story, they fell in love."

Y/N chuckles, but Carlos looks intrigued. "..but how is that supposed to help me?"

The adult looks eyes with him, voice as soft as it is serious. "Carlos, as long as you have people who love you for who you are, you can do anything you want. And I know for a fact you have a group right outside those doors that do."

The teen glances back at the doors, nodding softly. But he hesitates, looking back up at Y/N before sheepishly asking a question.

"what...what about you?"

The kings heart ached at the vulnerability in his voice, and he smiled comfortingly. "Oh I thought it was quite obvious that I care about you."

He watches at Carlos's shoulders visibly relax, before he springs forward into a hug. Y/N laughs as he returns it.

"All always be here for you, your an amazing kid, and I know you'll do good in Auradon."

Carlos felt his heart swell. And he just hugs the man tighter, showing rather than saying how much this meant to him.

How nice it felt to have someone comfort him, not have a caring father figure.
