Season 1b spoilers and episode plot idea because I NEED to rant. This is a bit long.
So... About Mugman:
You know how our amazing boy managed to get along with all the Inkwell's prison criminals in episode 1, yeah ?
Well, I wouldn't be surprised to see him inspire and start a revolution against the Devil with all the oppressed souls and demons he befriends, because he is unhinged and fed up with everything at this point.
There's more :
Of all the third-finest demons released, only one of them is still alive: the blind cyclops. He is lost in nature at the moment, but what if the four horsemen find him on their way back to hell and bring him with them ? And what if this cyclops is family with a certain Ms. Cyclops Mugman happened to befriend in prison ? With this, he could convince the demon to help him fight.
How cool would that be to see Mugsy ride the blind cyclops to guide him and wreck absolute havock in Hell ??
I don't want to believe it's a coincidence we saw two cyclops in this season and that the demon cyclops is gone for good and never to be seen again.
In conclusion :
I want to see our Best Boy strike terror into the heart of the Devil just like the badass maniac he is/can be
By the time Cuphead finally arrives, the Devil will just plea him to take his brother back because he can't take it anymore.

OK GUYS, I just got a theory about the unused board of the Devil and King Dice walking happily arm-in-arm :

I can't be the only one to think it's a perfect parallel image of the cupbros walking arm-in-arm in the opening...
I MEAN- It's the same angle, the same facial expressions and the same postures !
Season 1b spoilers under the cut
You all noticed the music changed in the end credits of the last episode, The Devil's pitchfork, after Mugman got kidnapped. It is dramatic, ominous, sad and sinister and I HATE THAT.
Cuphead is left alone with his regrets and guilt.
My theory is: since we got an alternate version of the end credits for Season 1b, we'll get to see an alternative opening for season 1c.
In this version we could see Cuphead facing danger alone, without Mugman to save his butt -Chalice might be here to help though- because he is gone. And instead of the "Yes we're looking for fun" part with the bros, we'll get to see the Devil and King Dice laughing happily and maniacally because they got their sweet sweet revenge on Cuphead. The song could go this way
What if we don't see our boy flying around Cuphead's head in his little plane at the very beginning ??
I always thought this shot was interesting btw, because while funny, it kinda shows the strong bond they share I think ? Mugman is never to far away from Cuphead, always in his mind, following him in his adventures (symbolized by the plane). Mugsy is most of the time the brain of the two and on top of everything, he is Cuphead's little voice of reason (circling around his head) !

Yes PLEASE, feel free to do so ! I'm so eager to see your interpretation. I kinda wanted to draw some alternative shots of the opening I have in my mind, but I'm extremely slow to draw and do it only on paper because I'm old school.

Reasons why Mugman starting a war in Hell against the Devil is very likely to happen and makes so much sense :
Well, Elder Kettle is litterally a war veteran. No doubt this badass old man told the stories of his biggest exploits to his grandkids, alongside his brothers in arms. This could inspire Mugman to do the same [if he finds himself allies/friends] and to elaborate some strategies.
Remember when Mugsy had stage fright and couldn't talk to an assembly in season 1a ? In Charmed and Dangerous, our brave boy stood up for Chalice in front of a crowd, and not ANY crowd : an angry mob ! Which is intimidating. I feel this amazing and HUGE step forward in his character development has been overlooked, and he should really be proud of himself. Then, the prison inmates are proofs he is good at making himself unlikely friends/ appreciated. Now that he has more confidence, it would be really funny to see him take the lead and give a passionate battle speech to motivate his troops of demons... Only for us to realize he is repeating word for word a speech he heard from Elder Kettle's stories because what he says is off topic. OR he could also go full-on cliché LOTR epic battle speech, like the dramatic kid he is : "Arise now, arise demons ! Spear shall be shaken, shield be splintered, a sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises !".
Mugman is overall batshit crazy, just like his adoptive grandpa. It warms my heart to see they have so much in common 🥺 [No wonder he is his favorite boy lol]
See how he fought a giant monster crab ten times his size and how good he was with a sword ? My man fears no big guys, he has battle skills that command respect AND SERIOUSLY WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THIS INCREDIBLE SCENE ???? 'That's got to be the best pirate I've ever seen'
A corrupted/vile Mugman = a 100 times more savage Mugman. The Devil simply is too soft and kind by his standards, so he'll just be like "Wow, he sucks. I'mma dethrone this loser and show him what hell truly is 👁👄👁"
You know who else is a bit nuts and thrives for chaos ? Cuphead. This dish has an obsession with rockets, gunpowder and dynamites. Does this inclination also comes from Elder Kettle ? The little guy is a confirmed arsonist when you think about it. He set an entire forest on fire with the pitchfork, and his brother's help, just for fun. Kettle, KEEP THAT FLAMETHROWER AWAY ! One can imagine that Cuphead will be furious at the Devil for kidnapping Mugman and will try to end this man's career. Whether Mugsy is turned into a demon with a thirst of power or stays his normal self, I'm sure those two would find common interests to team up and destroy the underworld to the point of making the Devil cry. Together, their craziness combined, and potentially still in possession of the pitchfork, they are unstoppable. This would lead to a ridiculously heartwarming reconciliation between the two brothers, surrounded by explosions and screams. A bit like the Ribby and Croaks episode when you think about it.
I think that's it.

I don't know what I want to see more in season 3: Mugman stealing Devil's job OR them becoming bffs. They have a lot in common in terms of anger issues. It would do them good to have some reading time together over a calming tea, bitching on everyone and going to the spa everyday.
