Cobweb paintings were invented by 16th- century Austrians. Monks and peasants collected cobwebs from attics, sheets of grass, and tree branches then stretched them onto postage-stamp-size canvas frames and carefully painted them with opaque watercolors. The artform died out with the onset of WWI, and fewer than 100 known paintings exist today. Source Source 2

PSA: Age Limits/Community Tags
So apparently community tags are a thing, and if you don't put your age in Tumblr, and say you are okay with mature, violet, sexual themes, you might accidentally be getting a censored feed. Not everyone is using community tags, but just so you know, and can't figure out why you can't see a post someone else is looking at... This might be why. FYI
I feel like between the forceful psychiatrization of chronic illness (because it's much easier to just tell physically disabled people with complex conditions that it's All In Our Heads than to actually treat us) and the boom in pop psychiatry, people have stopped looking at the human brain as an actual like... Tangible bodily organ and more as an abstract entity. Like the physiological soul. And imo that's doing so, so much damage.

On the topic of pedophilia.
As a young adult who grew up with YouTube and Tumblrs favorite rock bands, a lot of entertainers of my day are facing child exploitation accusations or have even been charged with their cimes: Cryaotic, Boyinaband, Shane Dawson, Pierce the Viel, All Time Low, Blood On The Dancefloor...
And I'm tired of every article or post that I read talking about the next 30 year old "pedophile" coming from the God awful world of entertainment.
I would like to get it out there that these crimes are not against pre-pubescent children. That is not to diminish the accusation or even defend it. Child predators should be prosecuted. Everyone is so quick to slap the label of pedophile onto any individual preying on minors. It's because it's the heinous, hotbutton word to scare and enrage parents.
There are three kinds of child predators: pedophiles, hebephile, and ephebophiles.
Pedophiles target pre-pubescent children. That's a age range of 0-10.
Hebephiles target pubescent children. That's a age range of 11-14.
Ephebophiles target pubescent children. That's a age range of 15-19.
And I know so many people out there do not care about the distinction. A child as it is defined under your law is a child. "Who gives a flying fuck if this creep seduced a 14 year old or a 17 year old? It's all a slippery slope."
Well, by misidentifiying the targets of these crimes you're spreading fake information. You make it harder for people to actually protect minors.
And this goes beyond entertainers with a shred of stardom. You know that child predator website that tells you where all the predators in your community live?
Can you understand how much of a difference it makes to know your 3 year old child isn't going to be the target of the ephebophile four blocks away? Parents generally feel more secure after talking to child predators about the crimes, the nature of them and how long ago it occurred.
Maybe I'm desensitized to the whole thing since I was a target of a hebephiles and sexted as a teenager, but I truly believe that these distinctions make a difference.

so last week i learned the same guy who wrote and sang the Disney Afternoon themes (Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck) also sang the Tekken 5 theme. This guy on the same level as James Lipton on the Thundercats theme!

did you know that every piano is slightly out of tune?
modern pianos are tuned according to equal temperament- the octave is divided equally into 12 semitones. this allows for notes to sound roughly 'in tune' regardless of the key, however the ratios between note frequencies are not harmonic meaning that technically they are out of tune.

Freckles: Surprisingly, I do have a few freckles on my face, even if they're not very noticeable if you're standing a few feet away from me, lol.
Fears: Blood is my #1 fear. If I see a paper cut or a razor cut on me I will literally freak out. My #2 fear is heights. Being in an airplane is fine i actually enjoy those for the most part, but on rides like the Sky Scraper in Six Flags, that freaks me out cuz you're only supported by two chains and you're hundreds of feet in the air. I regretted going on that ride. Fear #3 Anything that stings. Bees, Wasps, and Hornets are THE WORST, even if they are several feet away from me, I will run. Fear #4 I HATE COCKROACHES!!! I always get someone else to squash them for me, even if they're just itty bitty. that's how much I hate them. They're just gross!
How am I: Actually, not too bad. Apart from being motion sick from driving for a good majority of the day, I'm feeling decent. Also feeling a little anxious cuz I'm meeting relatives that I've never met before, in a few days.

It inhabits freshwater pools and feeds on fish, insects, and small invertebrates.
