I think one of my favorite tropes is when a random dude gets access to a really powerful item or ability, and they use it for stupid shit. Like I won't even be anything evil either, just pranks and practice jokes.

Like oh I've just received the orb of ultimate hypnosis, now I can convince the entire city of LA that the sky is actually green, just LA too. And then proceeded to do nothing with the orb.
