Okay, thank you so much for being interested 😭 I was abit embarassed to share since I’m aware of how insane that pairing sounds! And you’re not wrong for thinking that since originally it was made as a joke, but overtime I got attatched and realised how much potential it has. But then one has to ask, “How did the joke develop?” Well, since Alex is usually either shipped with Dolly or Billy I thought it would be funny if those three were in a polycule so I called the trio Dollabill (Dolly x Alex x Billy) — very clever, yes.
I thought about it some more then realised in order to make a polycule work all members must be involved, so suddenly I had to consider what Dolly and Billy’s dynamic would be. I considered it so hard that I eventually dropped Dollabill as a whole and fixated on only Bido (Billy x Dolly).

As for how I think it would work?… The way I always envisioned the ABiBaZ x BBEG crossover to develop is similar to how the popular “Well-Made Win” from DnB Popcorn Edition wrote it. It takes place some time after the fall of Alex’s college, where a newly-healed Alex has figured out how to leave his dimension after being sealed inside by Olivia. He leaves the college in search for new territory and stumbes upon Billy’s hotel/house. This is where the similarities with Well-Made Win end. Alex starts to target Billy and Billy being freaked out calls for a demon exorcist, this exorcist is revealed to be Olivia and her assistant, Dolly — I won’t talk about my Olivia here, but if you are interested just ask!
Now having to work together to contain such a dangerous demon, Billy & Dolly are forced to bond together. With that context out of the way, let’s skip to when they’re actually intimate.
Bad news: The whole relationship is a rebound. For Dolly it is a rebound for her grief with Alex’s death; for Billy it is a rebound for his grief with his Old Friend’s disappearance. I imagine that Dolly was drawn to Billy because of this caring paternal softness that he developed from raising a son as both parental roles. But not only that, there was an even more alluring bait: The chance to be relied on.
Dolly, despite all her good qualities, is quite selfless in a selfish way. She wanted to help Alex, but she also wanted the validation that came with helping him. She wanted to be wanted by someone and one of the most powerful ways of gaining that was through dependency. But to justify this she burdens herself with having to “take responsibility” for this dependency by doing her best to ensure that Alex will be happy. This is why Alex’s death impacted her so heavily, of course she is responsible for it, but her perception of that “responsibility” is skewed. She was responsible for turning Alex into an addict for comfort, but not for his suicide. This leads us to Billy, widowed father with self-destructive tendencies but puts up a proffesional suave facade to retain his good image and reaffirm his sanity. Target Detected. Go for his heart.
Now what about Billy?! This will be tricky to explain since you’re not familiar with BBEG, but for sake of simplicity I will pretend you do then answer whatever questions you have. Billy was drawn to Dolly because of her resillience, what a tragic history involving grief and mistreatment; a battle against the literal and figurative demons, yet despite all this she is still so compassionate and kind. This results in her being really good at caring and handling his son, which shot her up like 3 places on Billy’s teirlist. Aside from admiration there is of course, the hidden selfishness: She is good at caring for him. Not dealing with him, caring.
Billy loved his old friend/girlfriend, but being thrust into the limelight at an age where he was mentally vulnerable negatively impacted his development. Bearing this sudden responsibility to become “well-made” he became obssesed with image, and the idea that everything in life needed to be well-made. That included not just himself but also his friends, his family, his job, his everything. The praise he received for being so “well-made” was addicting, especially since growing up he didn’t have a stable source of affection — dead family, military orphanage. The only time he had one was with Old Friend, but now she’s gone and someone needs to fill that void.
Enter Dolly, an intelligent, compassionate and strong woman with an almost religious devotion to maintaining order and happiness. Target Detected. Go for her eyes.
It also definitely helps that there was already a pre-established kinship:
Both are non-human — Doll & Robot.
Both have difficulty expressing their feelings because of physical and emotional reasons — Dolly has the ability to make facial expressions at the price of her face fallinh apart. So her mouth is constantly sewn together. She is also in denial of her negative traits which doesn’t allow her to process her feelings accurately; Billy is robot who is capable of expressing emotion but chooses not to, to maintain the facade. So he uses the “Non-Emotional Creature’s” powers to nullify his feelings. He is very self-aware of his actions to the point he is terrified of himself.
Both rebounded with a carbon copy fake — Realex & Faklex; Old Friend & Girlfriend.

Just to clarify and reminder: THIS LORE ONLY APPLIES TO THE REMASTER! I don’t know why, but it probably has to do with the fact even Alex’s college got a complete redesign and overhaul. So it only makes sense that the characters get the same treatment.

@roxyteal Personally, I’m fine with all the new lore. The only one I’m abit let down with is Asmodena.
Like you said, the reoccuring theme of demons was super cool. Actually, I think Asmodena being a demon apprentice to Alex is way more compelling than a curious alien living with him. It was super cathartic watching Asmodena — someone who grew up witnessing violence and all the perversions of intimacy as a demon from the Lust ring — go against her beliefs and decide to live as a human instead of a demon because she wants to do what is right.
I don’t know why MrDrNose changed it, maybe it was to lean into her “silliness” more and away from the “horny” since y’know Lust ring. But personally I believe that it’s POSSIBLE to write a succubus without needing to be horny all the time. Not to brag or be arrogant, but I’ve done it, I never published any work regarding it — but if anyone wants to see proof, I will.
For example, I actually think Asmodena being a succubus is really interesting since it COULD utilise her intersexuality in a really contemplative way. Not only is she not as brutal as her fellow demons, she can’t even perform the “tasks” required by a succubus.
So I imagine that her going under Alex’s apprenticeship/work is some last ditch effort to gain some respect. She is a daughter of ASMODEUS, so I imagine there’s some pressure to make things right. Also I think having multiple demons in the story makes it more coherent and diverse. Alex and Asmodena are VERY different in how they are treated by others and how they treat other people. The dichotomy makes some fun un-spoken storytelling.
Another character I want to commentate on is Candy/Candice since you brought her up. I’m honestly indifferent to her change, both versions are good and I’m not exactly sure which is “better.” I LIKED the idea of Candy/Candice having Disassociative Identity Disorder, but honestly it’s not necessary to ABiBaZ’s story. Not only that but it also falls into a classic bad faith stereotype of there being a “bad alter” and “good alter,” which leads to both alters antagonising eachother.
I KNOW IN MY HEART, there is a way to write such a story in a beautiful and subversive way — take for example “The Low Quality Onceler” by Elias, a story wherein rather than being about “the good alter defeating the bad alter” it’s about “learning to understand and accept your alters even if they seem scary at first, and who knows maybe YOU are the scary one to them.” But I know that’s not the story ABiBaZ wants to tell. So I understand why it’s been retconned.
What was it retconned for? What I can only imagine will eventually lead to a metaphor regarding substance abuse, lmao. The tropes are literally THERE: “Potion made from candy that gives the user power but decreases their rationality and search for more candy.” That in itself is an interesting story that I could definitely see MrDrNose have an easier time writing for. Also it gives way for Alex to show his evilness because he would totally take advantage of Candice’s irrational mental state.
He did it already in the original game where it’s implied that he intentionally triggers Candy Princess to front so that he can have her clean the building. And we already know Candice hates Candy fronting without permission — toxic dynamic, my beloved, ah… — so yeah, Alex ruined her life before he can certainely do it again.
As for the rest, they’re fine, lol. Olivia could be either interchangeably, I guess it depends on what vibe you want. Not trashing on your opinon btw!! Just expanding on the discussion since I also have strong feelings regarding the lore dump.

I love your Alex and Dolly design, just letting you know. I think you should be confident in it. I mess with the knitted doll hair strands being re-interpreted as dread locks. She could even style her hair like an actual doll because of the black hair now that I think about it… Mmmm… Loopty-loop hair…

Random Things I noticed with the ABiBaZ:R designs.
Southern Russian Olivia theory
I initially excused the tan skin as trick of the light since Olivia is standing behind Asmodena, so she casts a shadow onto her. But if you compare the shades of darkened and lightened skin, Olivia’s are always darker slightly.
Another thing is her hair being NOT black as fanon portrays, but instead dark brown. I also thought this was trick of the light, but if you compare the shade of her clothes to the shade of her hair, it’s more noticeable.
Dark brown hair and tan skin are Southern Russian traits; Northern Russian people aren’t originally born tan, they are pale skin by nature. Though, to ber fair, ABiBaZ:R does apparently take place in Australia, so Australian Olivia having tan skin isn’t surprising in that context. But for the people who are stubbornly huffing copium — that includes me — by believing that most ABiBaZ chr. were originally from Russia but were forced into Australia because of Alex’s crazy demon powers, this is the medicine to explain Olivia’s skintone.
Dolly Isn’t Pale-Skinned
Instead of having chronically pale skin, she is now made of yarn that resembles ivory skin — or I think it’s yarn? The texture resembles crochet yarn dolls.
Asmodena Losing Her Propeller Hat
I think it’s pretty obvious why he removed it. MrDrNose wants his characters to be seen as adults, but Asmodena’s properller hat + her immature/childish personality makes her look young.
Un-changed Asmodena
I’m honestly curious why she looks the way she does if she’s supposed to be related to fire magic wielding underground miners who never visit humans… She doesn’t look fire-magic’y non-Earth’ish at all. Back when Asmodena was a demon, it was said that she came to the mortal world to train under Alex, thus implying that she knows about humans and this outfit is supposed to make her blend in.
So her funny looking pajama uniform was acceptable and even compliments the demon lore, maybe even imply some cultural intelligence. But with the miner lore it kinda… Feel out-of-place… She’s supposed to know nothing so why… Well… To be fair she does look really silly so… You could explain the outfit the same way with the demon lore thing (i.e. to blend in with humanity)… I guess it’s not that bad.
Buff Candice
I can’t believe I was predicted buff Candice. I thought that was just a model mishap, but no, it was intentional.
Dolly’s New Button Eyes
Nothing super crazy. Random small detail.
Removal of Candice’s Cat Ears
This one is also pretty understandable, it makes her design look less cluttered and more cohesive; The cat ears had no relevance to her lore. though I also understand why other people cling to the cat ears anyway — they’re iconic.
Olivia’s Boots
Why does she have those, it’s like she was prepared to run for her life. She definitely has an advantage over Asmodena’s slippers — they don’t look like slippers in ABiBaZ:R for art style reasons, but in original ABiBaZ she had slippers.
Olivia Transition from Goth to Emo
I know some people were upset she got changed to emo in the remaster, but be honest with me guys. Do you seriously want MrDrNose to call this 3D model goth? That is an emo adolescent, through and through. I think the aesthetic change was a blessing cause MrDrNose isn’t interested in making a goth ABiBaZ character — we have Ena from VoTV for that. Also I have a VERY STRONG suspicion that the new design might’ve been based on Yangure’s 3D model…
Two more babies have hit the Le family. Meet Asier — a Dollex baby (Realex is the father!) — made by @filefodder and Rhubarb Algebra Class — a Davelex baby (Faklex is the mother…) — by @floororangejuice :^)
We (i.e. 🌽🍞/🍊🧃/📁🌊) decided that all these babies are part of an AU called the “El Gato AU” (Also occassionally reffered to as “Alexlings/Billylings AU,” name is still pending).

I would like to introduce you all to El Le, the mpreg egg child of Billy and Alex. I named him that because Alex’s nickname in GD is “El Gato,” then I just took the “Le” surname from Billy’s family.
He is a dosgusting criftter I hate dhim he is so ugldy, he is an accident, he is a mistake. Goodbye, son. Oh also, here’s another idea I proposed but I was rejected by Holly.
