Dungeons And Dragons Character - Tumblr Posts

drawing + short animation I did before finishing the drawing. :3 hehe

Nobody asked for it but I gave Freyja a more warlock-core outfit with her neck tattoo and other stuff out
(Aluviel belongs to @cerylune)
i know ive been disappearing AGAIN but i've been working on a dnd campaign with my friends and i was wondering, should i post my ocs on here *wiggles eyebrows* they're suppose to be love interests too MUAHAHAAHHA

*lutes theateningly @ u from across the tavern*
this is my d&d character! she’s a bard gnome

Here is Morgan's reference sheet, and his first completed outfit! When I next work on him I'll likely make his hat and some small accessories. The ID is above the cut this time, as under it I've included some backstory details that the rest of Morgan's party doesn't know yet.
Critique is always welcome!
[ID: A digitally drawn character reference sheet, with the character on the left side of the sheet. He's a slender wood elf, wearing loose, dull clothes. His shirt is white, and pants, boots and holster various shades of dark, desaturated red. His hair falls to his shoulders, and is a dark shade of brown, lightening at the ends. The right side of the sheet is dedicated to text and details on the character's class and stats, stating:
"Morgan Duskgrove, 237 y/o, 5' 10", 103 lbs, He/Him, Wood Elf, Folk Hero, Neutral Good, Warlock."
"Strength 9, Dexterity 11, Constitution 15, Intelligence 12, Wisdom 19, and Charisma 15."
End ID]
If you are either part of, or going to be joining, a party including a loxodon Forge Cleric, a yuan-ti Rouge, and a wood elf Warlock, and that was almost completely killed during a fight with too many hobgoblins, don't read any further.
Physically, and as far as the party is concerned, Morgan is a wood elf. However, he's actually one of the Reborn, undead and without any memory of his pervious life.
In his pervious life, he was a member of a small cult worshiping Kezef, the Chaos Hound. An attempt to summon the God went badly, and several of the members, Morgan included, died as the spell destroyed a portion of the surrounding area.
Morgan's body was buried, and only found ten years later/five years ago, by the family who built their farm on the same land. He still has a large scar on his chest from the farmer's plow hitting his body.
He doesn't know he's a warlock. He's had his magic as long as he can remember, stating he "came into the world with it," if asked. As far as he (and I) know, he's never successfully communicated with his patron before.
His patron is the god he used to worship, and a Great Old One.
I'm adding him to my Artfight profile, and I'll include more details there.

I finished up my third DnD miniature! The image is slightly edited to change the hues of the sun and the shadows at the bottom, but nothing about the character's paint job was changed.
The miniature is from Reaper Miniatures, named "Vatanis, the Maggotcrown Warlock," and was sculpted by Bobby Jackson.
Notes about the paint job and photography process are under the cut! Critique is always welcome!
Notes:
I don't know if there is any official color palette for this character, I just decided to use one inspired by the character Lucio's, from the game The Arcana, mainly his red jacket/cape, and golden details and arm.
The lighting, aside from the slight change of hue under the main light source and along the sun rays, is entirely natural. I finished this model in less than a day to make sure I could take advantage of the setting sun. The unedited version of this is up on my Instagram.
Once I'm sure I won't take any more pictures of him, I'll paint his base black. Originally it was kept grey to blend into the rocks I thought I was going to use as an environment before I got this shot.
This was taken on my iPhone, and edited with Clip Studio Paint. When it comes to mini paints, I have no form of brand loyalty, and used a mix of Army Painter paints and washes, then a couple Citadel technical shades.

A piece I did for u/ziphode24 on the subreddit r/characterart. The character's name is Elvanna Glannath, and she's a cleric of Vecna.
I've lurked around the subreddit for a while, but this is the first character I've actually drawn from there.

*finally posts for the first time in ages*
It's my bug son again (:
Anyway check out my instagram I'm a bit more active there.

Rahadin, for my second CoS run (:
He gets contracture scars because I think they're fun to draw, and I wanted a bit of variety in the scars I'm giving these characters.

I finally made a new portrait for my son (:

I have many a lesbian oc. This is but a drop in the ocean. Her name is Auneari-Sanuldren (which is an honorific I made up for paladins of Lolth) and she is a Drow Elf paladin of Lolth. Because I like to completely rewrite world lore when it is basically just racism, aka the Drow Elves and their culture according to wotc. (don’t kill me for that opinion, i’m just a little guy. i’m just a little guy who likes recontextualizing people who are seen as inherently evil when such a thing does not exist.)
anyway.
lesbians are pretty cool.

This is Ruby Blackjack, my dungeons and dragons character. She’s a Blood Hunter using Matt Mercer’s homebrew class. I’m probably going to be posting a bunch more sketches of her at some point in the future, but this is the token and character art I made for her.

@thefearsomejabberwock has other lads in addition to Jimmy; this is Didus Vah Thayg and Dmitri Novikov, who are also NPCs in our D&D campaign.

Chanterelle’s younger older sister Chanterelle’s original design. We ended up changing the birth order because it worked better in the story.

Rycin’s older sister Chanterelle (left) and younger sister Reishi (right). They both still live at home and work on the family’s rot farm. Although… things in the story have definitely taken a turn.

My girl from a completed campaign: Yáng Shì. Yáng’s named after the Pirate Queen Zhang Yi Sao and she started the campaign as the first mate of The Oracle and girlfriend of Captain Delphi Czestech and Quartermaster Kāne Kekoa.
After events and shenanigans, she is now girlfriend-less and the Captain of The Oracle.

And maybe if I’d been a little bit braver
Maybe if I stayed behind to fight
But maybe doesn’t let me go back and save her
Maybe doesn’t make it all right
The Tree on the Hill, The Lightning Thief Musical
Sometime after, they found their mother’s statue and made a garden for her. They sat in that garden a lot over the years.

…But strangely he feels at home in this place
This is Home, Cavetown
Rycin’s most recent design: the Undercity. The outfit was lifted off of a Golgari noble so I added more detailing like embroidery and decorations that Rycin’s outfits usually wouldn’t be able to afford.
The shaved hair draws more emphasis to the stone half of their face, which they’re starting to embrace more after finally telling the party about what happened and being in an enchanting and new place.
And the gills are a long story involving a boat chase (they fell overboard).

Time is…
The first design of my dnd character Rycin from our Ravnica campaign, back when I made them over a year ago. They’ve come a long way since. Also ended up deciding they’re pan, they just don’t have great people skills.
Their hair is important to note through these designs. Their dad was not a great person and chopped their hair off so in this first design, they grew it out because they’re starting to go out on their own and be their own person.
i made this for a tiktok and it turned out pretty cool so… which of my dnd characters are you based on their aesthetic?

when your dnd session gives you the perfect excuse to go on a rlly long ramble about your hyperfixation

context: they can listen to people through the mushrooms (hence why Arc wants them gone but Rycin wants him to keep them without letting him know)
