and they’re all just some big polycule that has no actual label but they all kiss sometimes
anyway i think all the companions and tav/durge in bg3 should kiss one another
y’all think in the route of saving shadowheart’s family, dark urge feels more inclined to persuade Shadowheart to save them because of their own guilt and trauma regarding how Bhaal forced them to kill their adoptive families?
I will always find it so funny that apparently according to Gortash, Bane approves of the alliance between him and Durge. Like Bhaal is losing his mind over it, whispering murderous thoughts to his chosen, being like “no, you will rule alone, we will betray him in the end, kill him!”
And Bane is just like, “Heheh :) they’re talking :) Gonna smush them together like dolls :)”
(I imagine Bane was just like “AYOOO????”)
Meanwhile Durge is just busy thinking about their girlfriend who just spit in Shar’s face.
I will forever be sad that Durge can’t bring Orin to camp with them and have her join as they both work to redeem themselves.

──★ bio + backstory — Aaven Curel was raised in Baldur's Gate within an aristocratic family. Though they appeared to be a typical affluent clan, they were secretly dedicated followers of Bhaal, the God of Murder. From the moment she was born, her family knew there was something off about her. All of them were a little strange, sharing an eerie fascination with murder. However, Aaven was in a league of her own. She completely lacked any understanding of right and wrong, displaying sociopathic and psychopathic tendencies without hesitation or remorse.
Aaven had a long history of causing harm to her siblings, family pets, and farm animals, as well as threatening the house help. Despite her parents' pride in having a child with such potential as a follower of Bhaal, they were also concerned about their reputation. To maintain a clean image, they made the difficult decision to imprison Aaven for the first 160 years of her life.She spent the majority of her life confined within the walls of their large estate in the Upper City – the only interactions she ever had with anyone outside of her family were with the victims her family would abduct off the street and bring to her to keep her urges satiated. She enjoyed being under the control of her family, allowing them to have complete control over her and relieving herself from the burden of thinking or making decisions on her own. She planned heavily on staying there for the rest of her life.
However, everything changed when an intruder targeted her household. Tragically, they mercilessly murdered her entire family, leaving a gruesome sight in their wake. Surprisingly, though, Aaven was left unharmed and untouched. This cruel act left her bewildered and isolated, thrusting her into a life of self-reliance. In the midst of her newfound autonomy, she ventured outside, seeking to inflict chaos upon Baldur's Gate. But fate had a different plan in store for her. One fateful day, she found herself ensnared by the clutches of the nautiloid.

Durge would ~thrive~ in a battle royale
and the whole "larian listens to the fans too much" is partially correct, but i think it absolves larian of a little too much responsibility and places more blame on the fandom. toxic fans are everywhere, in every fandom, for every game, etc.
the real problem i believe is that the devs were already supposed to have a set-in-stone plan for the game, from start to finish. the fact that they kept changing things to satisfy people's kinks, even when it was irrational at many points, tells me that they had no fucking clue what they actually wanted to do with the game.
it also tells me their priorities were in all the wrong places because making the game sexy was more important than giving wyll a fleshed out story.
i cannot emphasize this enough: if you're going to shrink down content, to stay within your budget and prevent the game from getting too big, the final product is still supposed to make sense. the story needs to be cohesive. all (or at least most) loose ends should be tied up.
when it doesn't make sense, so much that a YEAR later you are still patch after patch tweaking up character plotlines, adding new dialogue, scenes, etc
it's a bad product. there was no point in releasing it the first time if you knew it wasn't READY. by all means bake your smaller pie – but get the ingredient proportions right lmao.
in the next patch larian is going to give tav/durge the dialogue option to call halsin a pervert who just wants to cheat, and then astarion body slams him to the ground and growls, "stay away from my kitten."

The real reason Ketheric throws himself into the green void pit when you win a charisma check against him (etc.) is because he knows you’re right but can’t stand knowing the person he had to literally drag off of Gortash multiple times is correct. He can’t keep looking you in the eye. Can’t watch that reunion go down. He just. Can’t. Not again. Better to end it now and finally be free.

Just wanted to say a big thank you and happy 1 year to a game that honestly has sparked so much joy and creativity for me personally and I’m so glad to have found community here and in all the other places with folks who also love this series. The Urge came for Leondorr again, so he ran to the woods to ride it out. This time, he didn't hurt anyone. When he returned, Halsin had woken up and caught him on his way back. “Would you join me for some tea?” Halsin asked. The druid knew Leon wouldn't ask anyone for help, so he found a different approach. Halsin was playing with fire, yet Leon agreed. One night, two nights, then every other night Leondorr would spend time in Halsin’s tent for tea, and Halsin would patch him up during their conversation.
