Merry Whumpmas Day 6: No Where to Go
Fandom: Star Wars
Summary: After the empire finds Obi-wan and Luke, the Jedi realizes he had no plan of where to go.
Part two: soon
It had been a year since the war ended. It had been a month since the empire had found Obi-wan and Luke on Tatooien. It has been a lifetime since Obi-wan was able to breathe.
He didn't know what to do when they first came to Tatooien. When he saw them go to Luke's home, he knew he had to take him far from the sandy planet. After he took him, he learned both Owen and Beru had been killed.
But where did he go from there? The first objective was simply to get off the planet. But after that, Obi-wan had nowhere to go. He thought about going to Alderaan and taking Luke to Bail. But how did he get there?
Truthfully, Bail was the only person Kenobi still trusted. Everyone else had either died or betrayed him. So where did he go?
Geonosis and Scarif we're nearby. While Geonosis seemed like a bad idea, maybe Scarif could be safe? But they would look for him nearby. Naboo was a death wish and so was Corusant.
As Obi-wan made his way though the market he heard the whispers that followed him. There was nothing he could do about them. They were just there. He didn't really care anymore. He needed a ship. He needed a pilot who would listen to him or maybe just be stupid enough to be a wanted man's get away pilot.
Nothing seemed real. He turned a corner to see a dead end. Then he turned to leave. There stood multiple stormtroopers and what seemed to be a dark side user.
There really was nowhere to go. Obi-wan felt his heart rate rise. He felt helpless as he watched them get closer. He pushed them away with the first and ran again. That seemed to be all he really could do anymore. There was too much running.
Tatooien was like a trap. It was almost impossible to leave it. Even though Obi-wan had been a hopeful person, all of that seemed to leave him when Cody shot at him. As the Jedi died, so did almost every part of him. There was nowhere to go. If there was anywhere he could go, it certainly couldn't be home. He could never go back.
Still Kenobi knew he had to move forward. He had to put one foot in front of the other, if for no other reason, for Luke. He couldn't fail him like he had failed his father.
He had to escape. He understood now, why Anakin had hated this place so badly. Finding his way to a hanger, Obi-wan found the ships the empire had arrived on. He jumped into it and started it up.
Gently, he put Luke in his lap. He was small for a one year old. Obi-wan still didn't know where to go. He pulled his comm from his pocket after he took off and reached out to Bail.
"They found us" was the only thing he could think to say. Once Bail answered, the two talked for a while. Eventually they came to the conclusion that Luke would be raised alongside his sister. Obi-wan however would be on his own from then on.
After dropping off Luke, the Jedi didn't know where to go. It felt like an overwhelming theme in his life. At least then he had known that he had a home in the Jedi. But now they were gone. Everything was gone.
Time passed as Kenobi tried to find a way to live in a galaxy that wanted him dead. Everyone seemed to be against him. Not just everyone but everything. Being on his own was never something he had been prepared for.
More than anything he wanted to go home. But home didn't exist anymore. It was gone. So he needed a new home, but that didn't seem to exist. Obi-wan sighed as he sat down at the bar he had found on Ord Mantell. He told the woman across the counter that he really just wanted water. She gave him one and told him to be on his way.
Then he heard familiar voices behind him. It was unnerving and Obi-wan felt like he was trapped again. He looked for other exits but there was nowhere to go.
"General Kenobi?" Echo said with surprise.
"Hello Echo"
Febuwhump Day 6: "You Lied to Me."
Fandom: The Bad Batch
Summary: Echo promises Hunter that he'll be okay facing Tantiss
"I'll be fine." That's what Echo had told Hunter when he asked how Echo was going to handle the mission.
"Are you sure?" Hunter knew this would be hard. An experimental facility with clones who had all faced something similar to Echo's own trauma. Everything seemed to be very uncomfortable for him. Every time they learned more about the facility, he seemed to find a way to leave the room.
"I'm sure." The truth was, Echo wasn't sure. He knew they needed the numbers and after Crosshair had taken part of his rescue, he felt like he owed him at least that. The thought of seeing someone he knew frightened him. But he had to go. Omega would be waiting.
So they gathered some of Rex and Echo's crew. They had planned their attack and the mission down to every minute. Tech would have been proud of the plan. There was no room for error.
On the ship Hunter checked in with Echo again. He walked around the shop and waited to arrive. Playing a waiting game was something the batch used to be good at. Now a waiting game was almost agonizing.
Upon their arrival, the batch, as well as Phee, Rex and a few others, split up. Each group went their separate ways. Hunter went with Echo and Rex while Wrecker went with Phee and some others.
As the batch maneuvered around the facility, Echo got more and more nervous. Even if there were few similarities between Tantiss and Skako Minor, the eerie feeling of the halls haunted him.
"We go in one three" Hunter spoke. "One" Echo started to regret coming. But he owed it to his family. "Two." He tried to prepare himself for what could be on the other side of the door.
"Three."
Rex opened the door. Inside Crosshair laid on a metal table. He was strapped down. Hunter ran over to him and Rex started to undo the straps. Echo froze. He took a deep breath and then walked over as well.
Crosshair was awake. He sat up slowly as the last strap was undone. "It's okay" Rex tried to comfort him.
Slowly they prepared their brother for moving. Rex took him and helped him walk. "I'll get him to the ship. Can you two take care of it until I get back?" If anything was going to happen to Crosshair, Rex was not going to let that rest in their shoulders.
"Got it Rex." Hunter led Echo out of the room. They continued to go down the hall. "Wrecker, any word on the prisoner logs?"
"Yep. We found them. There's quite a few regs here." Wrecker sounded uneasy.
"Got it."
"We are gonna need help to get them out Hunter. Rex had called back up. They aren't far but we'll need to kill some time."
"Start taking some of the regs to the Marauder.
"Okay."
Hunter turned to look at Echo. "We start taking down 'medical' rooms."
Echo nodded. The two went to find the rooms. It didn't take long to find one. When they entered the room, the arc trooper froze in the door. He didn't think he could move.
Hunter pulled him inside. He didn't say anything as he looked around the room. Echo walked towards the table in the middle of the room. He looked around and tried to find something to do. But when he saw the needles he flew back. Tripping on his own metal feet, he fell to the ground.
The man's breathing quickened. Hunter abandoned him spot in the room and kneeled down beside him. "Echo" he said. His tone was a lot kinder than he expected.
Staying in the room seemed impossible. Echo stood, panicked. He went for the door. Hunter tried to stop him but he was in the hall before he could do anything.
The Sargent watched him fall. He heard the gun shot that he prayed hadn't killed him. "Echo" he whispered. The man moved slightly. Without another thought, Hunter went into the hall and pulled his brother back into the room.
"You lied to me." Hunter couldn't think. "You lied to me." Echo just listened to him. He couldn't say anything. He was right, he had lied.
As Echo faded in and out of consciousness he listened to Hunter mutter to himself. "You lied. You did you would be fine. You lied to me."
Echo knew he lied to him. He knew that. He shouldn't have gone. Maybe he should have taken Crosshair back or maybe he should have just let Hunter sit with him when he started to panic.
"I'm not going to let you lie to me. You're going to be fine. You'll be fine."
"You lied." The world went dark as Hunter spoke.
Time passed. Hunter took Echo to the ship and faced Tantiss. Soon the reinforcements arrived. With minimal casualties, the clones escaped hell.
The lights near where Echo laid was dim. Hunter spent most of his time around him and around Omega and Crosshair. The feeling of responsibility weighed heavily on him. He laid his arms on the bed. Then he placed his head in his arms. "you lied to me."

"Echo, could you come here for a minute?" You called from your bunk, looking down to the cockpit to where Echo sat.
“Coming.” He replied, standing up from his seat and walking over, a soft smile on his face. You smiled back as he approached, shifting your wings so that the tops were visible. His eyebrow rose questioningly, and you moved your wings again. Some of the feathers were rumpled and out of place, and they were in spots where it was hard to reach without twisting the wings in painful ways.
“Could you please help me with the feathers? They’re pretty uncomfortable and I can’t reach them.” You explained. He smiled softly, coming over to sit behind you. "Of course, meshla." He said, reaching out with his hand to carefully smooth out the feathers and put them back into their usual positions. You sighed softly, patiently waiting as he fixed your feathers. It was quiet moments like these between you that brought you closer together. He worked carefully for a while, his hand carefully smoothing out the feathers. “Echo?”
“Mm?”
“Thanks for doing this.”
He smiled softly. “It’s okay, meshla.”
“I love you.”
“I love you too.”
Woow, I finally got this done. To the poor soul who requested it, I am so sorry that this took so long to get done. I hope you enjoy it.

where’s the clone rebellion show announcement??
i miss my copy paste men :(
If we ever get a “Tales of the Clones” I hope it focuses on Echo, and Wolffe, of both tales during the Republic, and after the Republic
For Echo, I would want his three episodes to be
- The deleted arc from TCW showing him adjusting to The Bad Batch
- Him leaving the Batch to Fight w/ Rex, show one of the adventures we didn’t see during S2, maybe a time skip to him leaving with Rex again while Omega was on Tantiss in between S2 and S3
- Echo in the larger Rebellion post the finale, maybe after Omega joins the Rebellion, if he settled down on Pabu when the Empire collapsed(Because he lived. He definitely lived.)
And for Wolffe
- Honestly any adventure during the War, we have a lack of Plo’s Bros content and that needs to be fixed
- Whatever happened to Wolffe when order 66 went out that made him hate Jedi so much and what happened to home when the Empire first started
- The story of how Wolffe left the empire, and how Wolffe Rex and Gregor ended up alone just the three of them
I would also love if Cody was the focus for half the show, maybe the final episode of his trio being him reunited with Obi-Wan on Tattoine❤️

Knife in the Back
So I’ve been wondering if the knife actually hit Echo or just got stuck in the armor. He was thrown back when it hit him but he hardly showed any other reaction to it.
When he pulled it out it looked as if it might have gotten stuck at the backpack.
But when he’s back on Pabu we can see clearly that it did, in fact, hit a weak spot and hurt him.
Ouch!
He doesn’t show any restrictions during combat but when he rests for a second or two you can see that he moves the shoulder as if he needs to deal with pain. The adrenaline probably kept him going.
