So yeah, people are freaking out because there's only 4 more episodes left in The Bad Batch :( but more importantly is that enough time to bring Tech back?
If the answer is yes you might be delusional. Emphasis on might, it could happen, and Tech can live happily ever after with Phee but honestly, when has romance ever worked out in Star Wars?
If the answer is no then listen to this: Crosshair had two season’s worth of redemption, the tale of the brother who willingly killed and burned down innocents for the Empire of His own free will. If Tech is CX-2 then he could be the reverse of Crosshair, the brother stripped of personality who willingly(?) kills and burns down innocents for the Empire of free will(?) but instead of redemption they never get him back. Again they have to live with having their brother trying to kill them knowing they can't get him back.
OK ok ok ok so I thought of this thing just listen, so first, crosshair left his CT number if CT-9904 *4* remember that, then echo (sort of) left HIS CT number is CT-1409 *4* AGAIN! And now, listen TWO people left TWO "RULE OF TWO REMEMBER THIS" and then echo comes back for a little so now theirs only one gone but who dies next? TECH! TECHS CT NUMBER IS CT-9903!!!! *3*!!!! 4,4,3! and now theres two gone again, then Omega is lost, (idk what omegas CT number is but a lot of people thought it was C-2, as in clone two, boba/alpha is clone one/C-1) and she's gone next 4,4,3,2!!!! And then omega and crosshair get beck so theres 1 gone, so they keep echo out so he's "gone" so 2 again technically _BUT_ WHATS WRECKERS CT NUMBER?!?!?!?. 9902!!!!!!!!!!!! Wreckers gonna die next! The pattern was 4,4,3,2 and their probably gonna bring echo back to help save omega so there's 1 gone, and the next number in line is Wrecker!!!! 😭😭😭😭 And with the rule of two rule, Wreckers probably going to die trying to rescue Omega and they fail! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Anyway, this is just a theory I got when taking a shower so it's probably just my brain wanting me to be sad but you never know 🤷♂️🤷♀️
As soon as he enters the ship's atmosphere, we are able to see a map of Pabu on his built-in computer screen. A handful of dots appear on the map and CX-2 selects one of them, which happens to be located right where the cavern was. I can only assume that these were discreet landing sites and he chose the most convenient one.
I’m typically not one of the “CX-2 is tech” people who goes through every episode looking for proof, but did anyone else notice that Phee specifically mentions the hidden cavern entrance being the reason she was able to land on Pabu undetected by the empire, meaning it’s by and large a secret about the island (but one that the Bad Batch know about). When CX-2 infiltrated Pabu last week, he also landed his ship in the caverns near the beach. How would he know about the caverns when the empire has never taken interest in Pabu before?
The only reaction I can have to this is, Oh Crack. I researched what a split diopter is online too, now I'm just more worried, look:
If you didn't want to read all that, it's to create drama by having the world around the character blur out and focus mostly on them to create drama and to emphasize the character’s reaction to an event or underline their emotional state as the scene unfolds. Since Omega is the main focus in this show and the poster is giving everyone bad vibes(the Hunter’s helmet one) I can guess a lot of bad things.
It's Omega’s reaction to Hunter’s death. Maybe he self-sacrifices for her maybe when he dies the blood is blurred out like the strawberry picture, maybe it's Tech revealed to be CX-2 coupled with Hunter’s death.

It's Crosshair’s reaction to being in a specific place in Tantiss, maybe he gets a panic attack, maybe he sees evil Tech and knows it's partially his fault.
It's a shot focused on Crosshair trying to make the Shot, the one he’s been trying to make since the beginning of S3, like a ricochet one.
This clue really only offers speculation for very bad news. At least for me.

Omega said ‘Keep an eye on Wrecker and Crosshair…” not “keep an eye on Wrecker, Crosshair and Echo”
If my guessing is correct, the time when the Rebellion needs pilots in Rebels is after Old Man Rex is recruited which means the Clone Rebellion is over. Which means Echo never came home.
Echo who deserved rest and peace but chose to help, is the one who didn't make it.
I’d hope that I'm wrong but I don't think I am.

Headcanon for Tech cuz HES NOT DEAD.
Tech has games on his datapad. Most of the time you see him, he is actually doing important stuff on there, but occasionally he will indulge in a little minesweeper or snake. His favourite game installed on his datapad is sudoku tho. Crossshair is the only person he's told about this, and both have sworn to keep the information away from Wrecker. The last thing Tech needs is a man-child nagging him for the games on his phone. Or worse: Wrecker could tell Omega about it, and then Tech would have to deal with TWO children nagging him for games
Okay okay this this!! I also wanna add that like the season almost sets it up to where we think Cid is going to change and start treating them better! The whole riot racing episode is a great example and honestly is what makes her eventual betrayal so much worse imo.
Like yes, they were trained to only be soldiers but they had a familial element to them that often gets extended to others thanks to Omega, like helping Cid out of her debt because well she thinks they should help her. A dangerous combo of Omegas want to help everyone and her (and the bad batches) inexperience with the world and how cruel it can be. Like I was so genuinely mad, because we got to see story beats of Cid maybe changing from her past only to prove Millegi right.
To be honest if they try to redeem her in season 3 I really hope they make her properly apologize and atone for what she did.
There's a sentiment I've been seeing a lot of in critique of The Bad Batch (especially season 2): why do the Batch keep returning to Cid when she's clearly taking advantage of them and treating them so poorly?
And yeah, I get the frustration. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be frustrating. I also agree that it causes some pacing issues with the show. But if you think it's out of character, implausible, or just a lazy way for the writers to maintain the status quo, oh boy do I strongly disagree.
Not only are these men genetically engineered and programmed since birth to be obedient, they've literally never been socialised outside of the military cult they grew up in. Sure they must have interacted with sapients other than the Kaminoans and the Jedi when they were on missions, but never without oversight or standing orders. Never long enough to learn the type of instincts and autonomy most of us develop as children. Of course they latched onto the first 'ally' who gave them orders. It's all they've ever known.
As much as this show explores the utter fucked-up-ness of how Order 66 and Imperial rule affected the clones, it's also showing us how fucked up their treatment was under the Republic and the Jedi Order. We're watching them deprogram and integrate into society for the first time, and we're seeing how vulnerable they are while doing so. Of course it's a bumpy road.
BAD BATCH NATION:
No matter what happens to our favorite characters, no matter what we like/dislike. What we're not gonna do is be shitty/harassing/mean/unkind to the showrunners, the VAs, the production team, or other people in the fandom. You can feel big feels about S3 but make sure you express those feelings in a way that does not cause harm to others. People are allowed to react differently than you, do not tell them how they should feel. Go forth, make art, write fic, participate in dialogue, squee to your heart's content. Just be a good person.
