Love Story : Magical Princess ( Game ) Review

Yahoo ! A new love simulation mobile game developed by Catcap Studios has just release their English version yesterday, and all I can say is that I’m already falling in love with it :)

I’ve been a fan of the game developer ever since playing their games like NikkiUP2U and Sweetheart, which I highly recommend that you should give them a try as well.

Love Story - Magical Princess is a love fantasy adventure simulation, where the player ( you! ) will raise a child ( girl is free but boy is paid ) which you found one day, together with your butler Sebastian.

In the amount of six years, the child will grow up under your guidance, and you will be the one to control his/her destiny by making choices. 

The storyline is unique, beautiful CGs and illustrations as well as immersive music are what makes this game highly replayable and addictive.

You can even customise your child with clothes, hairstyles and accessories, take them on vacation, set schedules and classes too !

Now, if only there is a way to rate more than 5 stars rating for this game, I would rate it much more than that.

Since I like this game so much, I’ll probably do a walkthrough on it but only from the girl version. I won’t be able to afford the boy version due to some reasons.

Love Story : Legendary Twins ( Game ) Review

Hey hey~ it’s been a year or so since Love Story : Magical Princess English version came out and now here comes the next game in line, Love Story : Legendary Twins.

I’ve been waiting for this game to be translated into English after playing the first one. And looks like the wait is well-worth. ^_^

Still in the same world, there are differences from the previous one. The storyline is different, involving twins, heaven, hell and the mortal world with new features and love interests to go after. The amount of game years have also been reduced to five years, unlike six years in the previous one.

I also notice that this game relies on how you interact with your Child, through conversations and playing mini-games. Stats and encounters are no longer the only things to be looking after, which makes it a bit more tricky.

In my first game round, tbh I was a bit confused at first. Especially the feathers, which is another feature added to the game. Turns out it’s just to trade for Wings for your Child to wear.

And much further into the game, only then was I able to get use to the system. Searching for the love interests also involves a lot of looking around~

Throughout the game, I was thinking ( and probably someone is gonna be asking later on ) is why isn’t the love-struck guard, Caris or the handsome swordsman teacher, Halas available as romance routes. Raphael, Baal, Bunny, gorgeous guys and girls in this game. The character designs in this game are really good QwQ

The only downside of this game is that some parts feels incomplete? Like the Others section hasn’t been unlocked. Maybe it’s just me, but other that that, I feel this game is quite fun to play and I’ll definitely recommend it :)

Like Love Story : Magical Princess, I’ll create a seperate walkthrough which will start with the Girl’s version. It’ll take awhile but I’ll do my best o-o/

Love Story : My Girl ( Game ) Review

The game that some of us have been waiting for, has finally arrived in English version for both IOS and Android !

Love Story : My Girl is the first game of the Love Story series by Catcap Studios, however it is the third game in line to be translated to English version, thanks to everyone who supported the previous games to be translated.

Since this is the game that started the whole series in the first place, I kind of expected the game to have its flaws and to be different from its successors.

First off, the game only allows you to play as a Male Guardian to the Girl who has been place under your care by your commanding officer as part of your tasks under the Asian Special Forces. There is no boy version for now.

They have a nice selection of characters, with only Sebastian being a familiar face ( yes, he’s one of the secret love interests here ). I’m also guessing that the timing of this game takes place after the second and third game, considering the futuristic elements such as the military training and places like Skid Row and Business Street.

The game also seems to have more bugs compared to the rest of the games, which I’ll update it later in the walkthrough if it’s still ongoing.

My first playthrough of the game was a mess, considering I tried to spread out and get as much information as I could in one sitting from the game ( like the jobs and classes ). My advice is to have an ending in mind, especially if you’re out for the love interest because the first encounters are mainly stats-based. Yeah...I successfully ended up meeting not even one love interest throughout the entire first gameplay QwQ

Updates for this walkthrough may take a long time but considering that it only has girl’s version, it wil be easier to complete.

Still, it’s fun but I’m still neutral on whether to recommend it or not. Interesting but the bugs ( like not being able to change the names ) has made the game less enjoyable. Hopefully, these bugs will get fixed soon in the future.

Vampire Idol ( Game ) Review

Aye, welcome to another game review o(>ω<)o☆

It’s been awhile since I did the previous review so it’s something I should get started once again on this blog.

This time, the spotlight is on Vampire Idol, a mobile otome game from Korean company, Avocado Entertainment, which is currently available free-to-play in English.

The storyline goes something like this : It begins with the player finally getting their chance to take the role as a manager in an entertainment company. However, as excited as the player is about the role, an uneasy feeling is felt which leads to the player accidentally finding out about a secret that the members of the Vampire shares - well, which is quite obvious but I can guarantee that there’s more secrets to be found as you play through their individual routes.

There are a few things that I would like to point out but I’ll start with the good ones first and then, the downsides.

The game itself is free-to-play, so there’s no waiting for tickets system here. With some free time on your hands, you can actually finish playing all of the main routes in one sitting without using any coins.

However, it has a messy pay-to-play aspect which involves the extras like the clothes, voices, calls, etc. I feel it should be more organised.

Even though, the coins there can be gained through daily dice-throwing, watching videos, downloading apps and social media sharing but it takes a very long time to gather the coins needed to buy the highly-priced stuff there.

So, this is something you really have to be patient and hardworking with, considering it’s a free-to-play game.

Speaking about characters, the main character is really awesome to play as ! You can see how the mc is really determined to get what she wants without being annoying or cringy. No helpless heroine trope here. The mc switches between being nice at times and bad in some ways which makes the game quite interesting.

The love interests on the other hand are diverse, I guess. I can’t mention more without spilling spoilers but I can tell you that they’re worth your time. I recommend playing all of them. (^_~) There’s five of them but Doha, the fifth member is only open once you finish the other four members.

The illustrations and CGs in the game are pretty to look at but getting them might be a pain. What I meant is that you might find yourself saving and loading saved files with the chapter starting over and over, ( I’m grateful that the save/load feature exists TwT ) just to get the correct answers and raise affection for the good endings. There’s also a chance you might not get any CG at all in the end ( Ian qwq whyyyy u did this ).

Well, I guess that’s all for the review of this game. Do I recommend this? Well, I can safely yes if you’re good for games with an interesting story and refreshing set of characters. Also, an extra nod for fans of the vampire genre out there (*・ω・)ﾉ and idol groups as well.

Still, here’s hoping that Avocado Entertainment decides to bring Vampire Idol over to iOS, so that more players can enjoy this game. 

In the end, I do think this game needs support, in the sense that the game publisher might consider creating more otome games in the future and translate their existing Kakao games into English if possible. Vampire Idol is their first English game after all.

School of Magic : Find Your Love ( Game ) Review

Hiya everyone!

Welcome back to another game review~^-^

Last time, I did a review on Vampire Idol which was created by the visual novel developers at Avocado Entertainment. So, let’s look at yet another game made by them recently which is called School of Magic : Find Your Love.

The storyline is about you, the heroine ( Bora is the default name ) who is enrolled in this magic school in dreams of becoming the greatest wizard in history. However, all things didn’t go as plan as every magic you’ve done ends up in failure. Seeing this repetitive trend, your teacher suggested for you to take private lessons from one of the elite boys in school to help you out.

For starters, I just wanna say that I really love how there’s a mini potrait of the heroine under the textbox. And there’s a lot of improvement from the UI perspective. Considering it’s a free-to-play game, it’s pretty neat this time around. Plus, there’s no tickets so you can play as much as you like!

Although I’m not a fan of the clumsy trope, I think I’ll make Bora an exception. For some reason, I kind of like her as the main character. And on the other hand, kind of feeling sorry for her, haha.

As for the guys, I’m currently playing Hyun’s route and so far, it’s really interesting. I think his route is quite mysterious and probably should be left for last if you want to choose out of the 5 boys available for spoiler reasons. ( but since he is my favourite character, I went for his route first XD ) 

For the other boys, I have yet to try them out but their intros during the prologue shows off their individual personalities nicely. At least, I can say there’s probably someone among the 5 boys that you will probably be interested in as the player.

Also, the outfits for the heroine are really cute. But with cuteness, comes a high price. Though I think this is optional this time around, not really sure though so don’t take my word for it >_<.

Do I recommend this? Yes, probably for fans of the magic school theme and mysteries. Though it might not sit well for those who prefer action-packed themes or those who like more drama in their reading material.

Overall, it’s a huge step of improvement and looking forward to see more in the future owo/

Hey got any word to say about Utano Prince sama? I ask because recently when browsing the Google Play Store for any new games that might interest me and I saw Utano Prince Sama which apparently is a music game and a intended for female audiences dating someone mixed together. Played it for a short while ( cuz I’m really bad at rhythm games ) with Camus ( Quartet Night ) as starter. Personally, I feel really happy to see the game in English, being part of the utapri fandom ☆

The music is catchy, difficulty wise is ok. Illustrations are eye candy. The customisation and features of the game makes the gameplay unique.

However, if I would have to criticise something about the game, I would say that they need to show each of the character’s individual personality in the translated storywriting. Not just direct translate. Because it’s adapted from an otome game, fans would expect interactions with their favourite characters to match with the other source materials.

Other than that, it’s probably one of the best rhythm games oriented towards otome fans that has been translated to English for now.

 Here’s hoping there will be more English adaptations in the future OwO

Ongoing Pre-registration for After Life ( Mobile Game - English Version )

After Life is a Korean-based mobile game where you play as the manager for these grim reapers, purifying and sealing wandering spirits into kaleidoscopes. The end goal is that once the kaleidoscopes are filled up, their greatest wishes will be fulfilled.

According to their twitter, for English version, there will be two dubs to choose from : Korean dub ( canon ) and Japanese dub ( testing purposes for global market ). And their release date hasn’t been set yet but it’s most likely within these few weeks.

At present time, it is noted on Twitter that the game will arrive in the US and Canada on January 20, 2022. No news on whether it'll be region-locked or open to other countries. But hey, there's always a way.

I'm seriously hype though! Can't wait to finally read the story after playing the Japanese version. There are good fan translations btw but it just doesn't feel the same as reading and playing on your own pace.

If you're wondering if Twisted Wonderland is an otome game or not, it's not. At least from my understanding when I was playing the game, it's more like a story adventure rhythm game with battle/rpg elements where you can interact with a charming cast of characters and Grimm.

Before you begin the app, please read the important notes below :

There is an issue that causes a loading freeze past Chapter 7.

To bypass this issue, click download data LATER when given the two options on whether or not to download extra data while playing. DO NOT click download now while playing or else you might have reinstall/clear data cause the loading will freeze at the four coffins for a really long time.

Only click download extra data when there is only one choice. This should bring up the loading screen with the data countdown and you will have no problems passing the game at this point.

Hopefully, the issue gets fixed soon. But it's better to take precautions, just in case.

My first impressions of Life Makeover is good for now. Kind of satisfied with the drop rate so far. The outfits and looks are pretty and customization is A+. The housing feature is nice but needs some time to get used to. Chat system is user-friendly with in-game translation. However, one thing I notice right away, is that getting allies might be hard. Though, wishful thinking that it will get easier later in the game.

As for F2P or P2P, still on the fence about it. However, the first top up pack is so tempting to buy >_< cuz it’s really affordable. I think I’ll wait and play a little longer since there’s no time limit.
