Merman!Akin has never been on land so when he meets Centaur!Failon he asks him to explain things and tell him stories :“)
Can Merman!Akin survive out of the water tho? I can imagine Centaur!Failon offering to carry him around and show him new things, but he's concerned if Akin would like, dry out or suffocate like a fish? Maybe he should bring a barrel of water he could carry on his back 😂

YES! ahhh I love that :D Tbh I haven’t really thought out all the aspects of this AU I just kinda started doodling something and was inspired by @hubedihubbe because her art is amazing and I am a huge fan and her centaur OCs are 👌 (ALL her OCs are 👌i am in love) but I think I’ll do it and develop it more because it seems really fun and I don’t have a lot of AUs for these two since I mostly focus on their main story asjkfhalf
I think Akin can survive out of water for some time, but he’ll need to go back to water after like a couple of hours, I’d go down the Little Mermaid ride and say that Akin probably gets so curious about Failon and about the things Failon tells him he’ll want to try to find a way to get on the land without flopping around like a fish :D idk maybe he’ll make a good deal out of it with some genie or helps a witch and asks for something in return - merman in the water, human on land :D
But the barrel ride is totally an option :D i like that one a lot :D
Does mer!Akin live in a river tho? I can imagine that he's curious about stuff on land and crawls ashore pretty frequently, and he's gotten pretty good at flopping on land that taur!Failon only needs to carry him for longer distances or when he starts getting dry (though it's hard for Failon to keep a straight face watching him wriggling and squirming across the floor) 😂
A river is a possibility also a lake maybe :D he doesn’t go into the streams much because the water would be too shallow for him and he doesn’t want any human to see him (even if he is curious he is very careful about that)
Yeah I think he’d be very tempted to just go everywhere but he knows he can’t so that’s why he makes Failon tell him about everything (like his family/friends, the fields and the forest and the people he sometimes spots in the forest) :D but yeah I think Failon sometimes gives him a ride not too far away from his lake/river so he can at least see what’s around and how things look like :D a change of scenery is always good :D
Failon definitely finds it amusing and they definitely tease each other and bicker a lot :D but he doesn’t mind keeping Akin company (cause he likes him and is worried about Akin being lonely :3)
Centaur!Failon likes talking about land animals with Merman!Akin but he has a hard time explaining to him what a horse is XD "It's kind of like a centaur minus the man part" "So it has no head?" "No, no, it's got a head, but it's a weird head, like some sort of bird but not quite" 😂

But yeah Akin has only ever seen the flora and fauna that was around his “home” and that’s basically a forest with some other fey beings, so he’s never seen a horse or a cow or a dog - he knows about wolves so he has an idea :D.
He trades Failon with his own stories from under the sea water how the crabs or eels are doing etc :D tho Failon has much more to tell since Akin only has a limited space of operation :D
Failon takes pity on him after a while (trying not to laugh :DD)

I’d say Failon is a cyborg detective with dark past, who one day found and picked up quite beaten up android Akin 3.012, he repaired him and from that day on he had a sarcastic and bratty companion <3 and then everything you said happens lmao :D
