A = Admiration (what do they absolutely adore about you?)

He is so grateful for your patience with him. It’s been a rough few years working on his redemption and trustworthiness, and he is still a bit nervous about interactions with others. Thor and Loki have been living in New Asgard ever since they moved to Earth, with visits to the Avengers Compound often, but he rarely talked to anyone in fear of saying something wrong. He admired your patience and persistence in getting to know Loki and breaking him down until he was interested in getting to know you as well. His confidence for getting some trustworthiness went up when you asked him out, and you are still patient with him every day. Some days his temper can get really bad, but you know there are ways to calm him down, and it comes with your patience with him.

B = Body (what is their favorite part of your body?)

Truthfully, Loki loves everything about you. It took him a while to admit it, but once he realized that he does like you, he likes all of you. However, his favorite is your forehead. He’s not overly affectionate, but he loves forehead kisses. A close second is your hands to make you feel like a princess when he greets you and kisses your knuckles.

XD My mind immediately goes to a scene I wrote a million years ago... The fic did start out as a wholesome fluff fic, but my bones crave so much more.

Roy wrapped his arms around Edward, squeezing tightly enough that Edward had no way to escape. "Don't fight me. You need a hug. We got the guy. No one's going to kill you. I told you you could trust me. I'm not going to let you get killed." Roy stroked Ed's hair making him stiffen at the strange soft behaviour. Was this what happened when you had someone who cared that you came home safe just because they wanted to and not because they were family.

Edward wanted to believe him that it was all fine now, but he was scared. He'd been threatened. She'd wanted his blood and he had this sinking feeling it wasn’t over yet. She'd done it all to toy with him, and it had worked. She was in his head. He was so tired, though. He wanted to feel safe. Everyone wanted the chance to feel safe.

Edward let his head flopped against Mustang’s chest. His shoulders shook as he tried to keep in the sobs. He would allow the hug in a fleeting moment of weakness, but he couldn't let out the tears. It would never come to an end.

"He can't get you where he's going. And he won't ever get a chance to hurt another person again. I wont let him hurt you." Mustang kissed the crown of Edward’s head.

Ed was frozen. He hadn't even processed the kiss. "He can't get you where he's going... he won't... won't let him..." His head snapped up, cracking against Mustang’s jaw.

"Oh, God! Edward! What's--"

"But Mustang she was a wo--"

My countless(I gave up after 37 because it was discouraging.) poisoned at a gala or fancy event fics are giving me dirty looks for not finishing them.

I’m not even much of a fan of genderbends but goddamn am I even less of a fan of getting ordered around about what I should enjoy and how I should enjoy it and being lectured about how ‘problematic’ it is, when the real problem is that they’ve cast the thing in question in black and white and refuse to admit that there’s anything but their narrow framing.

Changing a character to the ‘opposite’ cis gender is a very different thing than making them trans or nonbinary. Insisting that people only change characters to trans is also really damn invalidating, because it implies that being trans is interchangable with being cis. Whoopsie doodle!

I think the real issue here is that a lot of people want to see more trans headcanons, but for some reason think that using sj words while being bossy and rude is the way to go about it. Dress it up in progressive language all you like; at the end of the day you’re still being bossy and rude to get what you want, regardless of anyone else’s valid feelings.

To drop all my active WIP fanfics on Ao3 at once or not.... that is the question. Active meaning I have written at least 2 sentences in them in the last month LOL

Just read a post about WWX and fandom mischaracterization of him. And they have good points! But they ask why people mischaracterize him. And like... honestly, I am sure that some of the people who do do it for funsies. Like.. writing no thoughts, bi-disaster Wei Wuxian is FUN! And it fits with the persona he sells to people. That is the thing. His entire persona is "don't pay attention to me, I am just a silly boy doing silly things."

Which brings up my second point. If the narration is centered around the rumors and perceptions of the world around Wei Wuxian (parts of it is, for sure) then it is easy to buy into those perceptions. If Wei Wuxian wants people to think he is a frivolous playboy, people will think it. Because yes, he is that good. But so... the reader might remember that most/ best.

Also, lots of fandom comes from CQL. I came from there. Sometimes it is hard for me to remember what was in CQL and what happened in the novel. But if you come at it from CQL, then we don't get much of his perspective, really. I mean a little. And his relationship with Lan Wangji is quite different. It is expanded. He gets more time before the bad things happen with Lan Wangji. He gets more time as a carefree (relatively speaking) youth.

I agree that he has immense social intelligence, he has to. People who live with volatile people often are. They are often hyper aware of the people's moods around them. They are careful to pay attention to the way others think.

He is a genius! He is amiable, lots of people like him. He seems impulsive. But I think that his "impulsivity" is a combination of two things: he doesn't bother to explain his mental leaps and he has a different set of priorities than most of his peers.

Remember, he is used to Madam Yu's style of punishment, where it doesn't matter if he actually did something wrong, she'll find some reason to be mad. So, he has to find his own morality. He has to listen to his own heart. If the rules don't matter to the adult in charge of guiding you (even just one of them), then you have to figure out what rules matter to you.

So, if he is brilliant and has his own moral code, he might seem quite impulsive. He might seem like the annoying friend. Is he absolutely aware of what he is doing? Yeah.

Have I forgotten where I was going with this? Lol Yes, yes, I have. But I don't think that writing Wei Wuxian as an annoying, impulsive brat is completely wrong, especially if you are writing from the perspective of someone other than Wei Wuxian. Lan Qiren absolutely thinks that of him and would see all his actions in that light. Jin Zixuan would think something similar. Might even consider him to be violent and dangerous, given their history. Even third person could be written that way, if that is what Wei Wuxian is trying to portray. Also, I think that people should write what they want. And people should read what they want.

Found family, but with the thickest layer of racial context in it. That's it, that's the trope.

What are your favorite fanfic genres or tags?

Mine is angst, hurt/comfort, whump, fluff, and “character needs a hug”. My tastes are pretty basic, I know. But nothings better than reading stories about your precious little blorbos going through pain and suffering and then rewarding them at the end before starting ALL over again. :)
