Chapter 20: Kill Me like I Matter
Just two people having a conversation. Nothing unusual at all, if you forget the fact he's a reformed serial killer and she was one of his victims, yeah. If you forget that tiny detail... This chapter was tough to write. Not in the sense it took a while (I practically barf them all out), but in the way in which it affected me.

Chapter 23: Go with the Flow
After toeing the line dangerously, Gabriel is still feeling off when Claire decides to crash his morning routine with a smile new attitude towards him.
Chapter 26: Suggestive Shenanigans
Claire takes Peter's offer to hang out with him and Sylar because she wants to have more time with him and if Sylar has to be there she guesses she'll tolerate him. Practical jokes, heavy doses of sass, and truths are shared over booze.
Chapter 28: I Would for You
Things heat up as Gabriel takes on Claire's pain and offers to comfort her. Driven by no small amount of spite and curiosity, Claire gets a little revenge and attempts to balance the scales between them in a way that turns him on immensely.

Chapter 29: Jumpstart
Peter endures his worst nightmare in the hopes of regaining his full strength.
Chapter 30: It Felt like Forever
Peter wakes from his nightmare reeling to discover whether or not it worked and Claire learns a secret about Gabriel.
Chapter 31: New and Old Truths
Gabriel shares a secret with Claire and uncovers a fundamental understanding in her perception of him and events with him.

Claire shows a little gratitude to Gabriel and they have an intellectual and personal conversation. Then he offers to help her.

Gabriel begins the process of healing Claire.
Chapter 34: Of Tricks & Treats
Thursday has arrived and Claire is brimming with excitement to see teenage Gabriel, while also looking forward to doing something that feels so normal for the first time in years.

Chapter 36: Falsa Muerte
Gabriel and Claire bound a bit more and go on an eye opening trip with a painful outcome.
Chapter 37: The Devil's Touch
Gabriel distracts Claire from sleeplessness as they watch Donnie Darko and things get hot during another session of physical therapy. Gabriel also sees something he wishes he hadn't but it brings a few things into perspective for him.
Chapter 38: Consequences of Our Actions
Gabriel finally tells Peter something that's been weighing on him and is surprised by his reaction. Adversely, he's not at all surprised by Claire's reaction to the previous night and finds himself dealing with it in an unexpected and enticing way.

Chapter 39: Ceaseless Lies
Claire and Gabriel have a normal conversation, which is surprisingly easy and leaves them both wanting more and fearing losing it. Claire also learns some truths, one of which drives her that more closer to Gabriel and away from her father.
Chapter 40: Peach Flavoured Blues
Claire decides to do something nice for Gabriel and it turns into an interesting development. Gabriel also helps Peter adjust to the hearing ability and is surprised with another kind gesture. Both things have him feeling very grateful just in time for the holiday.
Chapter 42: They Never Stay Buried
Gabriel and Noah have a heated showdown that turns violent and Claire finally confronts her father about something that's been eating at her.
Once again, Noah is pointing a gun at Gabriel, while surrounded by books.
Chapter 44: Mixed Blessings
Gabriel wakes up on Thanksgiving feeling grateful and Claire feels conflicted.
It's a Heroes Thanksgiving y'all, and you know what that means. There will be drama!
Chapter 45: Never Quite as it Seems
Gabriel doesn't appreciate Claire's attitude towards him whilst in the company of others and this is compounded by someone else appreciating him.
