Three Year's Past

Imagine: It's the third-year anniversary of the anniversary of Weathertop, and the pain in Frodo's right shoulder, obviously, comes back, and the reader has to comfort him in any way she can.

Today was like any other day in the Shire. It's been almost four years since we saved Middle-Earth from further destruction from the once-mighty Sauron.

The entire Shire was quiet, like it usually was. I sat in my usual chair in the living room of Bag End. While Frodo and I aren't married, we're both really close friends. But recently, we've confessed our feelings to each other. He said that I am the reason why he'd delayed his voyage to the Undying Lands (aka the Valinor).

He said that I was his rock.

His support.

His lifeline.

It was quite quiet, until a sudden crash came from the room that Frodo and I shared. That immediately caught my attention, and I immediately realized, with a jolt in my stomach, that it was the third "anniversary" of the night on Weathertop when Frodo got stabbed by the Morgul Blade. It had been a really stressful time for all of us at the time. For me, especially. We were all desperate for Frodo to make it out alive when he got stabbed.

"FRODO!" I cried out in alarm. I set down my book, only to have it drop to the floor. I didn't bother putting it back on the chair. I was much more focused on getting to Frodo quickly than worrying about a simple book.

I reached the room the two of us shared, and immediately found Frodo tossing and turning in the bed. His eyes were squeezed and closed in pain, his body wrapped tightly in the bedsheets that we had, trying to prevent the cold from becoming too much. I hated to see him be in pain.

I stepped carefully over the broken glass cup that I'd set down for him last night when he had one of his gruesome nightmares, and I was at his side in an instant. I held his hand, preventing him from messing with his mostly-healed wound. Slowly, Frodo opened his eyes, which were full of pain. He relaxed slightly when he saw me.

"Frodo," I murmured softly as he stared up at me with his big blue eyes. I put my other free hand on his cheek as he struggled to breathe properly. I could tell that he was trying to focus on me. I held his hand tightly and he squeezed it back for support. "Focus on me, sweetheart," I tried to reassure him. "Focus on my face." He tried to focus on my face, but ended up giving another cry of pain. He squeezed his eyes shut, and whimpered with pain. A tear slid down his cheek and I gently wiped it away with a shaking hand.

"His blade," he managed to choke out. "I-I can feel his blade."

"Miss y/n?" said the sudden, concerned voice of Samwise Gamgee.

My ears pricked up whenever I heard Sam's voice.

"Sam?!" I said in a hopeful voice.

"Y/n? Where are you?!"

"In the bedroom, Samwise!" I shouted in reply. "I need you here for a second! It's urgent!"

Sam's hurried footsteps sounded across the hall and into the room. When his eyes fell on Frodo, his face immediately went pale. His eyes then went up to me.

"I'll get the Athelas plant that Aragorn sent with us. It won't take me long, I'll just need to boil the water with the Athelas quickly, and I'll bring it over here as soon as I can."

I nodded hastily.

"Alright, Sam. And can you bring me a washcloth as well?"

Sam nodded. "Of course, Miss y/n."

And with that, he took off. The entire time Sam was gone, I continued to comfort Frodo with the best of my abilities. I held his hand and ran my fingers softly through his hair, as he once admitted that this action made him relax. I often brushed my fingers gently through his soft brown curls whenever he felt stressed, when he felt sick, or when he had just woken up from a nightmare. His breathing shook as he took in each pained breath.

"Y/n. . . . y/n. . . .," he whimpered as he gripped my hand tightly again. He seemed almost delirious with pain. His blue eyes clouded over and his eyes rolled into the back of his head momentarily.

"Shh," I whispered in a soft voice. I got down on my knees and placed a hand gently on his cheek, stroking his cheekbone softly. I wiped away another stray tear that slid down his skin. "It's alright, sweetheart. I'm right here."

"Everything hurts." He squeezed his eyes shut tightly, to get rid of the pain.

"I know," I murmured, still trying to keep my voice soft. "Sam will be here with the Athelas plant soon. The Athelas should help soothe the pain."

A few minutes later, Sam came back with the bowl of Athelas-infused water, and a washcloth.

"Thank you, Sam," I said in a grateful voice as I took the bowl and the washcloth away from him.

"Of course, Miss y/n." He glanced anxiously at his best friend. "Call me if you need anything. I'll be here around the house."

I nodded and Sam walked out of the room.

"Okay, Frodo," I cooed in a soft voice. He glanced up at me with pain-filled, wide eyes. "I'm going to treat your wound. You can hold onto my hand if the pain becomes too much for you, alright?"

He nodded, whimpering slightly, and he managed to shift his body, wincing as he did. I unbuttoned the first few buttons of his shirt (without trying to feel embarrassed), grabbed the washcloth, dunked it in the boiling water, and gently placed it on his wound, gently massaging it. He winced but managed to keep himself calm. I could soon see the look of relief washing over his face as the Athelas plant began to get into effect, and he relaxed a little bit, much to my relief.

Once I could see that he was no longer in any pain, I put away the bowl and the washcloth and climbed into the bed that we shared. In an instant, Frodo snuggled up to me, resting his head gently on my chest, and an arm around my waist. I returned the same favor by wrapping a gentle arm protectively around his waist, bringing him closer to my side to keep him safe. I smiled softly to myself, getting rather comfortable. I began to drift off to sleep again before I heard Frodo's sleepy voice speaking.

"Thank you, y/n."

I chuckled softly and pressed a gentle kiss to his forehead. He responded by snuggling further into me.

"You're welcome, sweetheart," I cooed softly. I ran my fingers through his hair, comforting him with the best of my ability. "Anything to make my sweet hobbit feel better. I will do anything to protect you, and to keep you safe. I promise."

Love your writings🤍 Would love a Frodo imagine where he has always loved Y/N. Y/N has had hardships too (not on Frodo’s level, but def still some trauma). He comes back to the Shire from healing & expresses his love for Y/N, Y/N do too. Then a proposal/wedding/wedding night (if seggsy details are permitted)?🥹

Hi :)! Thank you for requesting & thank you for being the first one to request! I hope that you like this imagine. if not, i can totally redo it if you want me to :)! PS: i'll try and add a little bit of segc moments but i won't overdo it. Lemme know if you want that to change!

Title: For All Eternity

It's been nearly eight years since Frodo left for the Undying Lands with Lord Elrond, Lady Galadriel, and Gandalf. He'd promised that he would come back, but I didn't know when. I'd spent countless days looking through the windows of Bag End (which he gave to me before he left) waiting for him to return. I spent countless nights crying because I knew that it would be years before he returned. His side of the bed that he used to sleep in when we were still dating, felt cold and empty.

I missed him desperately. It wasn't obvious. Even Sam had done everything he could to distract me from the man I loved. Merry and Pippin had done their best.

I sighed, staring up at the ceiling of the bedroom that Frodo and I once shared. I did not want to get out of bed. My thoughts kept straying towards Frodo and all the difficulties we'd gone through together. But obviously, his hurts were deeper than mine. I only had to witness what my beloved Hobbit was going through. I didn't go through what he went through. And I could tell that he was going through hell during our long, dangerous trek to Mordor.

The sound of someone knocking on the door brought me to my senses. At first, I ignored it, thinking that it was Sam coming to try and get me to be motivated during the day. Or maybe it was Merry and Pippin. They were always trying to find some way to drag me out of bed and do outdoorsy things with them. Of course I had to go with them, though reluctantly. I'd rather stay in bed all day and do nothing.

But when the knock sounded again, I groaned, grumbling to myself. I rolled out of bed and slumped towards the door. I reluctantly opened it. The first thing I saw first, obviously, was a pair of large, hairy feet. My eyes travelled to the rest of his body and finally, his face.

My eyes went wide when I saw that it was my beloved Hobbit standing in front of me. I shrieked with joy before jumping into his arms for a hug, sobbing with relief. Frodo responded and wrapped his arms safely and securely around my waist. He buried his face into the crook of my neck, sending shivers down my spine.

I missed this feeling. I missed the feeling of him being close to me. I missed hugging him whenever I got the chance.

"God, you have no idea how much I've missed you!" I breathed though excitedly, as I broke from the hug. "I thought that you'd never come back!"

"I'll always come back for you, y/n," Frodo reassured.

I examined his face. The color of his eyes were still the same. But this time, they were no longer filled with pain, sorrow, or regret. They only glowed with love. He looked healthier than he had been in years. He smiled for the first time since he left for the Valinor. Still holding his hands in mine, he got to his knees, and spoke.

"Y/n? Ever since before my adventure, and during my adventure, I'd always loved you. Even though you weren't officially there, you were the reason why I kept going. I always have. And I musk ask: Will you marry me?"

As he was speaking he pulled out something from his back pocket. And I realized that it was a ring.

"YES!" I squealed excitedly. I threw my arms around his neck and jumped into his arms, almost knocking him backwards. I cried happy tears. Once I'd calmed down a little bit, he took the ring from its place and gently slid it onto my finger.

He scooped me in his arms, kissing me fiercely. I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer to me. The kiss was full of need, passion, and love. We began to plan the wedding right away.

Several months after Frodo had proposed to me, it was finally the day of our wedding. We'd invited nearly everyone in the Shire (except for the Sackville-Bagginses, who'd always wanted Bag End). Even some members of the Fellowship came to celebrate with us! Unfortunately, Aragorn or Arwen couldn't make it, as they were expecting their third child any time soon, and Aragorn was incredibly busy ruling Gondor and the rest of Middle-Earth.

That day was lovely. Frodo and I said our vows to each other, promising that we would take care of each other during our difficult days. I looked him firmly in the eyes as I said my vows to him. I was scared on the inside, but I knew that my vows were what I wanted to say.

"You may kiss the bride!" the Minister said.

Our lips touched and the entire crowd cheered.

That night, we settled into Bag End. We'd finally be sharing that home together. Once we set foot on the threshold of Bag End, Frodo immediately scooped me up in his arms, carrying me bridal-style to the bedroom we'd share together for the rest of our lives.

Once we got changed into some different clothing, I immediately grabbed Frodo by the neck, and shoved him gently down onto the bed roughly, causing him to chuckle. I began to kiss him. His lips were soft and pillowy, and tasted slightly of the ale that we had drunk during the feast. The kiss felt cautious and tentative. But gradually, it began to get rough and full of need, and he flipped the both of us over so that he was on top, and I was on the bottom.

His hands slipped underneath the hem of my shirt. His cold hands felt nice against my skin. I gasped lightly and arched my back a little bit. I then began to fumble at the buttons of his shirt with shaking hands, exposing his bare chest. My eyes examined the scars that were left on his body since the quest.

Frodo noticed my stares, and immediately became insecure. He tried to hide his scars by wrapping his shirt around himself, but I only stopped him, pulling his hands away.

"Don't," I whispered, forcing his hands away from his shirt. "You don't have to be embarrassed about your scars, love. It means that you've survived. It means that you're strong."

Frodo blushed at my comment, and bent down, as to kiss me. He kissed me ferociously, causing me to moan slightly. I made sure to kiss each of his scars, letting him know that I was there for him, and that his hard days were over.

Frodo gave me a look of adoration. Tears of relief came to his eyes and he bent down to kiss me again. I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer.

I reached over to grab the candle snuffer. Frodo began to pull the covers over us. I snuffed out the candles and Frodo pulled the covers completely over our heads.

I absolutely love your writing❤️ and I would like to know if you could do a imagine of dating Frodo or something along those lines

***I struggled a little bit with this one, but I hope that you like it all the same :)! Lemme know if you want me to change anything! Also, I wasn't sure what gender you wanted me to use, so I chose gender neutral for this one. Lemme know if you want that changed as well!***

You'd always admired Frodo and became quick friends before he randomly disappeared for nearly two years. You never got the opportunity to tell him how much you loved him, and you nearly lost that chance. And now, you were starting to lose hope that he would never return.

You kept Bag End clean while he was away. And every day, you kept looking out the window in hopes that he would return. Just as you were beginning to lose hope, however, a knock sounded at the door, causing you to jump.

Your heart pounded as you slowly made your way to the door, praying and hoping that it wasn't the Sackville-Bagginses. They've been pressuring you quite a bit to sell Bag End, but you bluntly refused, saying, "This is still Frodo's property. No one is having it."

You grasped the handle of the doorknob and carefully turned it. You blinked your eyes multiple times, wondering if what you were seeing was reality or a dream.

There stood your sweet Hobbit that had been gone for a couple of years. He was dressed in luxurious clothing made fit for royalty, and you had to remind yourself that it probably was. The only thing that you noticed that was different, however, was his face.

He no longer looked innocent, jovial, or carefree like he once was. He now looked worn and tired. There was no longer that gleaming light in his eyes that was usually there every time he saw you. Instead, there was a look that troubled him. But his eyes did light up momentarily when you came eye-to-eye with each other, before his expression became weary again.

In an instant, you opened your arms out and he sank into your loving embrace, holding him tightly to you. He buried his face into the crook of your neck, causing pleasant shivers to go down your spine. You breathed in his familiar scent.

"Two years, Frodo," you breathed, hugging him tightly. You never wanted to let him go. Not this time. "For two years, you've had me so worried."

"I know," he mumbled tiredly in reply. "I'm so sorry. I would have told you what was going on, if Gandalf hadn't told me that I had to leave so quickly."

"You could have at least left me a note telling you what was going on."

"I didn't want to risk anything, y/n."

You relaxed, knowing that you couldn't stay mad at him forever. You broke the hug and he put his hands on your shoulders, giving you a firm look in the eye.

"How about I make it up for you. We can go on a little date tomorrow morning if you want to. I'll tell you my story."

You rested your forehead gently against his. You could see him closing his eyes at the gentle pressure against his forehead.

"Deal," you whispered in reply.

The next morning, you dressed up in a nice outfit -- one that you wore to Frodo's and Bilbo's birthday party the day before he randomly disappeared without a word. Once Frodo's eyes were on you, his eyes widened, and he blushed brightly in realization.

"Th-That's --" he stuttered as his eyes raked you up and down.

You giggled, smirking at him.

"I know."

The two of you went to a quiet part of the Shire in the woods, before settling yourselves down after spreading the picic blanket on the ground. He told you of his adventures as the two of you feast on your favorite breakfast foods.

Your eyes widened as he told you that he had been stabbed by a deadly blade that could have killed him. How he had offered to take the Ring to Mordor. And how he found the legendary creature, Gollum, who ended up siding with his bad self in the end.

Once his story was over, it was nearly late afternoon, almost time for Afternoon Tea. Your sweet Hobbit seemed relieved to get all the horrors he'd witnessed over the past two years, off his chest. And he now leaned his head on your shoulder in exhaustion. You smiled down at him.

"You have Bilbo's old book, don't you? The one he wrote?"

Frodo looks up at you in surprise, and furrows his eyebrow in confusion.

"Yeah?"

You smirked knowingly at him.

"Why don't you go ahead and write your story?"

***Yikes! Not my best writing ever, but I feel like it's alright. Lemme know if you want me to change anything! And thanks for requestiong :)!***

Hi, I have a sort of specific request. Could you please write a Frodo Baggins x Hobbit!reader who wants nothing more than to go on an adventure and is childhood friends with Frodo because she loved Bilbo’s stories and none of the other children wanted to play with her because she was so un-hobbitish, then eventually found herself falling in love with Frodo and so when he leaves to go on his quest she is right there at his side, stubborn and extremely excited about it all. Not a hint of nervousness. Sort of being a constant for Frodo. I’d love that very much.

If not no worries. Thank you<3

hi, @dinofromspac3! tysm for requesting! i'ma give this a shot. sorry if the wait was longer, i went to the gym last night and didn't have time to write this. but here we go! hope ya like it :)!

Frodo and I have known each other for a long time. We've known each other since he moved in with his Uncle Bilbo after his parents drowned in some freak boating accident. The poor thing was so distraught for the first few months, and I didn't blame him. I'd often go over with some of his friends so that I could hear Mr. Bilbo's famous, un-Hobbitish adventures. His adventures made me want to go on my own adventure. A lot of Hobbit children thought I was queer as I wistfully dreamed about my own adventures, and didn't really speak to me. But I was okay with that. At least I had Merry, Pippin, Sam, and, of course, Frodo.

Eventually, Frodo asked me if I wanted to go out and pretend to have an adventure like his uncle once did. Of course, we never ventured anywhere outside the Shire. It was not our business to know what the folks from distant lands were up to. Most likely, wars. And adventures, now to think about that. Apparently, Hobbits were nonexistent to the Men, Elves, and Dwarves, and didn't even bother coming to invade the Shire because they knew nothing about it. We were grateful for that, at least. But at the same time, life got a little boring, since we had nothing to do.

Eventually, I found myself falling for Frodo. I didn't want to, but my thoughts were on no one else but him. He was probably the sweetest human being on this entire planet. And I didn't like him because of the large fortune he'd soon inherit from his uncle. The only person who knew I had a crush on the Baggins heir was Rosie Cotton, my friend from the Green Dragon.

When Frodo had gone home with Sam, I went along with them. And soon, Sam and I found ourselves eavesdropping on Frodo's and Gandalf's conversation about a once-lost ring that he was currently in possession of. And soon, we found ourselves going on this adventure, which made me even more nervous than before. Because I knew that what Frodo was carrying was dangerous. I was scared for him, and his life. But so far, everything seemed as normal as it could be. That is, until we reached Weathertop.

I never left his side during that time when he was mortally wounded. I was there at his side the entire time, letting him hold his hand in mine. When a she-elf came to whisk Frodo away to safety, Sam had to hold me back.

"I don't want to leave him!" I exclaimed through tears as I tried to yank myself out of Sam's grip. But his hold was too tight on my arms. I couldn't do anything except to watch as Frodo was whisked away from me.

"I think she's getting him to safety, Miss y/n," Sam tried to reassure me.

Although it did comfort me slightly, I was still nervous about the fact that I could possibly lose my best friend. If I went back to the Shire without him, life would be more dull and boring than it had been before. I wouldn't have a reason to live.

Luckily, Frodo had managed to survive, and I hardly left his side, no matter how tired he was. And when he woke up, I was there to greet him, relieved that he was alive and alright. I stayed by his side before Sam had to pull me away from him so that I could get some rest.

Soon after the council was over, and the Hobbits and I had joined, I could hear Merry and Pippin complaining quite loudly amongst themselves in the garden about mine and Frodo's friendship.

"All they've been doing is giving each other googly, heart-shaped eyes to each other for years. And I'm getting kinda sick of it," Merry complained to Pippin.

"They should be together by now. I'm tired of them standing at a distance and not saying anything."

"You know what, Pip. I'm thinking the exact same thing. They should have confessed their feelings to each other by now."

It took me a moment to realize that they were talking about me and Frodo. I blushed brightly, and pretended to not hear what Merry and Pippin were saying.

Great, they noticed?

I turned and tip-toed away before the duo found out I had been eavesdropping. But not even an hour later, Merry and Pippin found me in my room as I was reading a book I had found from Lord Elrond's large library.

"You could knock next time, ya know," I commented without bothering to look up. I kept my nose buried in the book. "It's not that hard."

The duo ignored me.

"Tell us, y/n," said Pippin. "Do you have a crush on Frodo?"

That got me to look up in surprise, but I quickly recovered, trying to shrug the feeling off.

"No. Why do you bother asking?"

"C'mon, y/n! For years, you've been giving him heart-shaped, lovey-dovey eyes and you never say anything about it! I'm getting a little sick of it." Merry complained

"It's because I'm scared, alright?" I snapped in return.

"C'mon. You shouldn't be scared of confessing, y/n. He likes you, too," Merry insisted.

"You're just saying that so that my hopes can get up," I grumbled as I continued to flip through the book I'd found.

"No! Y/n, we swear to the Valinor, that he likes you back!" Pippin pleaded. I glared at him, not entirely convinced that he was telling me the entire truth.

"And we think that we may know where to find him," Merry added, winking at me.

"It's nighttime. Frodo's probably in bed, and I'm not going to disturb him just to tell him that I like him."

"Oh, come on! You're no fun, y/n! Can you please just trust us? Just this once?"

I glared at them and then sighed, putting my book down.

"Alright, since you asked so nicely." That got both of the boys to cheer. "But don't think that I'll let you off that easily!"

I got up and followed them, letting the duo pull me along. Almost immediately, I regretted letting them do this to me. But at the same time, I knew that I had to confess to Frodo at some point, because I had no idea what our future holds. Any of us could die during this quest.

They led me to the courtyard. Not the same one we'd had the meeting in, but a completely different one.

"Isn't about time that everyone was in bed by now?" I asked, clearly confused.

"Well, not everyone," Merry hinted mysteriously. He then shoved me in the shoulders, trying to get me to go. "Well, go on."

I knew exactly what he was doing. But I sighed and entered the courtyard. There, sitting on the stone bench of Rivendell, was Frodo. He gazed up at the stars. He was so immersed in watching the stars that he jumped when I finally approached him.

"Y/n," he greeted. He patted the empty space next to him, giving me room to sit. "What brings you here?"

"Uh. . . . I dunno. Couldn't sleep, I guess," I quietly replied. "And I guess that I needed some fresh air."

That was partially true. I couldn't sleep, so I had gone ahead and read the book I'd found in Elrond's fancy library. I turned my gaze to the sky, watching the little pinpricks of light twinkling overhead.

"The stars look beautiful tonight," I finally commented.

"Not as beautiful as you," Frodo unexpectedly commented. I turned to stare at him in surprise. He then realized what he'd said, and his eyes went wide. "I-I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have said that! Not this quickly, anyways —"

I only shook my head in reply, smiling softly. I pressed my lips firmly against his, kissing him softly. He tensed, at first, clearly surprised, before melting into the kiss. He wrapped his arms gently around my waist, bringing me closer. I wrapped my arms around his neck, wanting him close to me.

He bit my lower lip, asking politely for entrance. I giggled and granted his request. He explored my mouth, and I explored his. The feeling gave me butterflies. I never wanted this moment to end.

"Gross! Get a room, you two!" Pippin complained loudly. His voice caused us to break apart.

"Quit ruining the moment, you fool of a Took!" I retorted.

"You know what? I think we will get a room," Frodo hastily replied. "C'mon, y/n."

He grabbed my hand and led me to his room, where we snuggled together for the rest of the night.

***Whew! I hope that this was alright! Lemme know if you want any more changes :)!***

Hello :D

Considering your not comfortable doing smut requests (which is completely alright)

Could you just do some general affection headcannons for frodo and how he'd react to an S/O whos very clingy? :)

No rush on this! ❤️

I've never done any sort of headcanons before, so let's give this a go! I apologize if this a little short, i've never done this before. lemme know if you want any changes :)!

🠦 When Frodo notices that his s/o is starting to get clingy, he'd know right away

🠦 They'd do everything to get his attention when he's busy

🠦 He'd just chuckle to himself at how cute they are

🠦 But he'd continue to ignore them, just to make them feel frustrated

🠦 If they'd wrapped their arms around his chest from behind and rested their head on his shoulder, he'd igore them, even if the feeling gave him butterflies

🠦 When they'd pout, he'd just smile to himself but continue to ignore them

🠦 But them nibbling lightly on his ear would certainly make him give in a little bit more and he'd melt in their embrace slightly

🠦 But he'd manage to ignore them once again just to irritate them.

🠦 When he's working on his story, they'd want to come in and join him, but he'd wave them away, saying that he's got it, even though he wouldn't mind a little bit of help

🠦 But when Frodo DOES decide to give them attention, he'd walk behind s/o and wrap his arms around their chest, pressing light kisses to their neck.

🠦 S/o would teasingly say, "So now you're going to give me attention?"

🠦 In which he'd reply with, "Wanna take this to the bedroom, love?" 🫢🫢🫢

***Lemme know if you want anything else added and if you want me to change the gender name :)!***

Told Ya She'd Say Yes

requested by @frodo-cinnamon-roll. Thx for requesting :)!

***Frodo's POV***

I sighed, staring at the bar where Rosie Cotton, and lovely y/n worked. Both were chatting happily to each other as they did their duties. It's been a few months since we came back to the Shire. I've always had a crush on y/n, even before my quest began. Sam had already proposed to Rosie, which happened just a couple of months ago.

Now, I wanted to ask y/n out. But I didn't know how. And I was too scared.

"Hello? Frodo, are ou even listening?" Merry asked. He waved his hand in my face, trying to catch my attention.

And it worked. I snapped back to reality after staring at y/n from afar.

"Sorry. Wasn't paying attention," I answered quickly as I turned to face my friends again.

"Oh. Staring at y/n, are we?" Pippin smirked. He gave me a teasing wink.

My cheeks burned a bright pink color.

"Of course, I don't," I hastily replied.

"Yes, you do. You've been staring at her for the past thirty minutes, man," Merry interrupted. "You should ask her out by now."

"I can't, Merry. I'm too shy," I tried to argue.

"C'mon!" groaned Merry. "You went into Mount Doom and managed to destroy the Ring. And you think that asking y/n out is harder than that?" He stared at me in disbelief.

The duo pressured me for a bit. Sam just sat to the side, smoking his pipe. He didn't want to get himself involved, and I didn't blame him.

"I'm sure she'll say yes, Mr. Frodo," he finally encouraged. "I was scared to death when I asked Rosie to marry me a couple weeks ago, even though I knew she'd say yes. We're not close to Miss y/n, but I can tell that she adores you, even if she just watches from afar."

"See?" Pippin added. "You should ask her!"

Both Merry and Pippin shoved me towards her, and I nervously approached y/n. My hands were sweating profusely by the time I got there. I waited patiently as y/n collected orders from two other male Hobbits, who were drunkenly commenting her. That caused me to be a bit jealous. But she paid no heed to them, much to my relief.

She finally turned to me, smiling slightly. I could see a pink blush creeping up her cheeks, and she quickly avoided my gaze.

"C-Can I help you, Mr. Baggins?" she asked shyly.

"Well. . . . .," I began, wondering how I should start off my confession. "I actually have something to tell you, y/n."

She raised an eyebrow, looking really suspicious. Well, no turning back, now. It's now or never.

"Go on," she said. She sat herself down on the counter.

I took a deep breath, trying to control myself.

"I — I was wondering if you'd — if you'd like to go on a date with me?" I asked, stuttering and stumbling in between words. She stared at me in surprise, and I could feel a sense of dread settling in the pit of my stomach.

Maybe she didn't want to be with me at all.

I found myself blushing hard. This was not how I wanted things to go.

"I-I'm sorry!" I stuttered, unsure of what to say. I — I wasn't sure of what you'd say. Or if you wanted to go on a date at all! It's alright if you don't want to. I understand —"

I was cut off when I felt a pair of soft lips pressing against mine. At first, my heart stopped, and I didn't know how to react. I soon responded by wrapping my arms hesitantly around her waist. When she let go, she looked me directly in the eyes.

"Of course, I want to, Mr. Baggins," she answered.

My heart soared when I heard her say that.

"Tomorrow evening, then? If you're free?" I asked.

"That sounds great."

"I'll see you, then," I breathlessly replied.

I looked at her one last time before cheerfully making my way back to my friends. I noticed that both Merry and Pippin had triumphant smirks on their faces.

"What?" I asked casually once I sat back down.

"Told ya she'd say yes," Pippin replied.

"Shut up," I replied as I stared wistfully after y/n again.
