Hmm, they both seem to be argumentative people. I always imagine their relationship similarly to Ron and Hermione from Harry Potter. They generally argue/debate over general things.

Neither of them admit that they enjoy it somewhat though. Gwen`s a diplomat and Kevin sparkens a different perspective in a conversation.

Having a debate where both parties have things to say/continue the topic is extremely entertaining.

Gwen doesn`t give up easily on her views / appreciates if she has who to share/argue them with. Kevin probably hasn`t met a person like Gwen who`d have an actual debate which wouldn`t end out with someone`s teeth being pulled out.

Or generally, didn`t have time to sit down and just - think of things (being an on-the-run con artist didn`t help)

I noticed quite a couple of times in UA especially when they`d argue and seem to be in their own bubble, leaving Ben on the side/not understanding the situation. Such as how Harry was described as feeling in the books.

And so, to answer. Their first big fight probably was from In Charm`s Way. Before then, there were moments/hints towards a big argument.

I believe that a fight as big as that would have happened anyways because of Kevin`s behaviour towards Gwen during S3. It was building up to happen even without Charmaster`s involvement. The cheating part broke the camel`s back/ them actually talking about the issue first hand.

Kevin not trusting Gwen and considering himself inferior/unworthy for her and Gwen feeling frustrated/feeling not enough that she can`t help him.

(Of course, Kevin`s negative behaviour was never justified, especially towards those closest around him)

Kevin pushing her away always caused conflict. Examples being anytime he mutated or did anything considered illegal,

(On the trust part, I can think of that time in Couples Retreat where Kevin took it upon himself to take Gwen`s magic book from her room without asking first about book`s safety/ if any protection had been placed on it. And so, to take the book ``somewhere safer``. Kevin`s impulsive decisions just caused a lot of conflict between them.)

Kevin just needs to put more trust into others man,

@secretglitterbluebird I doubt that he did the necklace himself. When he handed her the gift, he was still mutated and beforehand, he wasn't able to morph/liquefy the materials he'd absorb. I assume that he bought it from a jewerly store though since I believe that it's made out of gold too. It indirectly shows how much respect he has for her

(It would have been interesting if he would have handed her a necklace made out of taedenite though, to be a call back to Kevin's big score or his mutated form. Unlike the gold one, that one really would have been made from him / represent his gratitude towards her in a different light. It would have implied him carving the gem into a shape similar to an oval/circle/sphere/whatever it could have been. It would have been a fun metaphor to have the taedenite exterior which covers the interior/image of human!Kevin.

Oh no I'm mumbling over my AU's ideas oops)

Getting back to the topic

With the canon's locket, he may have inserted that picture in himself lol, it'd be cute to imagine him struggling to get it in there but he does it anyways because he treasures Gwen sm😭

Also, Gwen's gift is meaningful as well because it implies as well - well, effort !! She may have had to carve some of them herself / get someone to help her out with making them

It's a sketch as of now. I want to get it colored eventually. Let me know what you think !! (Politely please. I'm new this is more - realistic (?) style of drawing)

Well, the changes done here are all explained in my AU version of him but to cut it brief/ a bit spoiler-free:

I imagine that he got to Gwen's place to pick her up with his usual hairstyle and she helped him out with his hair. So he'd look all stylish / be able to not have his hair into his eyes.

G: "It helps you see me better, Kevin :DD"

Also, so she could kiss his forehead easier heh,

As you can see, his ears and features in general are sharper. Those are choices done in order to give him individuality from the Tennysons' general appearances from canon. Also because I find them cool !

(I'm still working on the Gwen re-imagining kwhajw).

Also other reasons which are related to my re-imagining of osmosians' features in general.

I believe that at first, he'd be unsure over the hairstyle change because his ears would be even more noticeable.

I see Gwen reassuring him that his ears are fine and that he shouldn't be ashamed of what he is (he's still half alien in the AU). In the end, he sees that he slays the hairstyle and keeps it for the night

Those 2 locks of hair which remained on his forehead are just- shorter strands from the front of his hairline which didn't stick right at the back.

Also, he's hiding something underneath his hair.

Gwen takes notice of that but won't push that on him that night. He'll probably talk about it when he's ready

I tried to put a lot of thought into him /his appearance. The eyebrow really was just a moment of weakness for me. It's the least thought out of detail out of them =)))

Edit: it isn't drawn, but this Kev also has fangs. I thought a couple of times how he may speak in a way which wouldn't require opening his mouth too much just so ppl wouldn't see them/ attract unwanted attention for numerous reasons

It's actually funny that I put even more thought into Gwen's prom design, considering how plain canon's interpretation was

(Hint: I gave both her and Kev something matchy for them to wear at the prom *chuckles*)

I’m re-watching Ben 10: Alien Force with my friend and the almost kiss in “Darkstar Rising” still got to me so I fixed it.

I think about that “treat a car how you treat q woman” scene everyday and everyday I think about how os Gwen would’ve agreed 100% (not every day but I do think about the difference between os gwen and af gwen a lot)

gwevin would have been so much better if gwen retained her love for doohickies and complicated science machinery from ogs.... she looks at that microscope with adoration she doesnt have for her own parents. she would have totally gotten the 'treat a car like you treat a woman' thing. shes got a little heart shaped locket tucked under her shirt and inside is a picture of her ibm. she would love all of his gadgets and shit and fully endorse spending so much money on them he doesnt have money for housing
