i wanted to ask anyone knows how to fix curly hair for some help! my mama has really pretty natural curls, but she’s been straightening her hair for years now. Her curls are super pretty, but they’re really damaged since she hasn’t ever learned to properly take care of them. she says she’s tired of having to straighten her hair every day, and my sister (our hairdresser) keeps scolding her for damaging her hair so much lol.

I want to help her bring them back! but my hair is pin straight and i have no idea where to even begin. I’ve tried doing a bit of research on my own, but i worry that i’m not asking the right questions.

I believe her hair type is 3a, from what I can tell! if anyone has any advice, i’d be so grateful!! <3
