i like to think that Hannibal's love language is physical touch. Will and Hannibal touch very few times throughout the show but it is always so tender, even when there is violence.
The way Hannibal cradles Will's face while he's having a seizure to make sure he's okay
The way Hannibal holds Will's hand while removing the gun instead of just ripping it away
The way he holds Will while talking to him
The way he so tenderly treats Will's wounds
Absolutely everything about this scene. Hannibal in this moment is heartbroken but he still doesn't treat Will roughly
The way he holds Will's chin up while feeding him even though he still feels extremely hurt
The way Hannibal is feeling utter bliss because of both the events that took place, and the fact that this is one of the few times Will reciprocated his touch. The way they hold onto each other is so beautiful.
Touch with Will always seems to be a sacred thing to Hannibal. It so rarely happens that he likely treasures every moment of it. The idea that physical touch is his love language isn't a big reach. I love these two so much and I will never cease to be amazed and in awe at their relationship.
