Petrol sure hoped it was Not paparazzi. He had to admit, it was rather odd to see such spectacle surrounding the camp Campbell. It seemed hundreds of cameras were flashing, all shutterclicking voices joining in a chorus outside of the impenetrable walls of the amphitheater. This is just a punishment for his reckless action, sneaking out of the complex- for what?

For someone as insignificant as Preston? Absolutely. There’s not a lot of opportunity to meet someone with such a big heart, and not be such a total doormat. His passion & fierocity was familiar, but not demeaning & authorative like some. If he can see potential in petrol, then he can admit the same. Which means, of all things- helping Preston with a costume haul.

Despite the years of training to perfect his monotony, he couldn’t hold back quiet laughter. Yes, the other looked ridiculous. What made it hilarious was how he was carrying himself like a celebrity about to walk down the red carpet. Confidence- an actor’s greatest weapon. Or something. He forgot the saying. Petrol cleared his throat, trying to bring them both back down to earth. Maybe less photo shoot, and more picture perfect organization. These boxes were only getting heavier by the minute, after all.

It was their idea to pop out of woodscout territory for awhile. Only a trip to sleepy town, at the diner. He’s never been and yet he felt like he’s been a regular for years, just from stepping inside. The overhead lights flickered & the whole room smelled like fresh apple pie. Now this is something he could get used to.

Maven was certainly someone peculiar. How could they find themself compelled to spend so much time with him? Even petrol knew he had the conversation potential of a pet rock. For some reason, maven never seemed to notice nor care. Maybe they just want attention, he wouldn’t put it past ‘em.

...But it had to be out of the goodness of their heart, right? Why else would maven buy them both chocolate milkshakes, without expecting anything in return? He was still stirring it around with his straw when they said that about their friendship. It’s enough to make him pause. Only for a moment, then nodding along. He really could see himself at maven’s side. Maybe not forever, but he can entertain the possibility.

Friday the 13th starters ;; accepting

I almost wish it did. How rude, to think such things. He could sit here and fume as long as he wants, it wouldn’t change his situation. It definitely wouldn’t change Edward’s mind. Nope, he’s still forced to lug his leader around like a bag of potatoes. He hums once. As if someone was asking- no. He would keep that thought to himself. Petrol grits his teeth. What’s the point of going on a stake out to spy on camp campbell, if Pikeman won’t pay attention? He’s done nothing BUT talk for the past couple hours.

Petrol knew he only talked to hear his own voice. Honestly, he wouldn’t put it past Pikeman. With crossed arms, he hunkered down in the van. The engine idles, then stops. They have a clear view of the mess hall and activities field, so they’re all set. he kicks back and waits, rolling down the window slightly. He refused to have this be the place he bakes alive in 100 degree weather.

7: How does your character perceive themselves? Positive? Negative? Neutral?

depends on the day. he isn’t like, vain or self obsessed levels of positive thinking. not at all. it’s pretty neutrul all things considered. That being said- petrol does not consider himself a good person. He’s too spiteful for that. Petrol’s well aware he isn’t perfect; he isn’t a saint cuz he doesn’t go out of his way to hurt others- he just does the right thing. What he personally feels is ‘right’ anyway.

8: Are they a quick thinker or do they need time to sort through their thoughts?

petrol’s not put on the spot enough to need to think on his feet most of the time. That being said. he’s introspective, not slow, there’s a difference. When you’re forced into wild situations against their will, you learn to adapt very quickly. The kicker is, no matter how much quick thinking he does- he takes the extra time to actually think through so he doesn’t end up doing something stupid. Does that make sense?

1: What position does your character sleep in? ( i.e; stomach, side, back, etc. ) Describe why they do this — optional.

he sleeps on his side facing the door and/or windows. Petrol’s a light sleeper as is- so he would be able to hear if someone was in his room when he’s in a somewhat vunerable state. He isn’t paranoid enough to sleep with, say, a weapon. He wouldn’t need one if it was an attacker lmao.

21: Your character has been granted 3 wishes; what would they wish for and why?

wish 1; a million dollars cash to his momma. wish 2; a forever regenerating pizza slice. 3; set the genie free, cmon he’s seen aladdin.  

29: Are they afraid of death? Do they have any regrets?

you can’t spell Stephen van petrol without survivor’s guilt! Long story short he’s got a lot of them. He still blames himself for a friend’s death, and many more mistakes. Big or small. Petrol’s got a hard time letting things go. He isn’t afraid of dying- he’s just. very, very aware of it. He struggles with violent intrusive thoughts so, frankly, it’s unavoidable. Even so he’s trying not to make that the case all the time. he’s learning to deal with it, little by little.

Have they ever been so overwhelmed they had to stop and take a break from something?

to keep this ws centric- well. petrol’s first couple weeks as a new recruit were rough. at first he took down the initation tasks no problem- but as they got harder and harder, he eventually had to take a break. ok the ‘break’ was a trip to the infirmary, but still. even petrol has his limits

If your character was allowed to murder one person without any consequences, who would that person be and why?

// well, tags are used for organization and stuff, and if you’re confused on what the tags MEAN, i can show you different types of tags and what they’re used for. (also some ppl like to format their tags with phrases or lyrics, like how i do, but it’s not required! it’s all about preference)

here’s a quick glossary under the cut for you, stranger!

ic (means in character posts, interactions, asks, etc)

about (can be interchangable with musings, but ABOUT is , well, stuff about your character! headcanons can go here, or they have their own tag!)

aesthetic (this i feel is self explanatory. this is mostly pictures based on what reminds you of your muse. it can include things they would like based off of hobbies and style too)

verses (have any aus? this is where they would go, like you could have a tag for canon verse, adult verse, monster verse etc etc)

section 3: trigger warnings

this isn’t necessarily FOR rp, but some muses have sensitive topics in their character, so trigger tagging is a way for people to filter out what they don’t want to see. I would recommend NOT formatting these tags!  if you have it as fancy text, the filter won’t catch it. so a good way to tag content is simple as

trigger tw, trigger m (stands for mention), or just simply, trigger. Tagging the word is sure way to make sure the filter catches it.

petrol struggles a lot with violent intrusive thoughts. Does this mean he’s  always thinking about death or murder? no, because. that’s not how intruisive thoughts work. but he has thought about it. There would be times where he would have to make a choice to either: hurt or heal.

to answer the question. Petrol has no problem doing hurt towards strangers on the account of following orders- or to punch the lights out of someone who really deserves it. But to hurt, let alone kill someone close to him? i don’t think he could.
