30 Uncommon Character Development Questions ( send me a number )
What position does your character sleep in? ( i.e; stomach, side, back, etc. ) Describe why they do this — optional.
Does your character have any noteworthy features? Freckles? Dimples? A scar somewhere unusual? etc.
Does your character have an accent? What does it sound like?
Do they have any verbal tics? Do they have trouble pronouncing certain words or getting their thoughts across clearly?

7: How does your character perceive themselves? Positive? Negative? Neutral?
depends on the day. he isn’t like, vain or self obsessed levels of positive thinking. not at all. it’s pretty neutrul all things considered. That being said- petrol does not consider himself a good person. He’s too spiteful for that. Petrol’s well aware he isn’t perfect; he isn’t a saint cuz he doesn’t go out of his way to hurt others- he just does the right thing. What he personally feels is ‘right’ anyway.
8: Are they a quick thinker or do they need time to sort through their thoughts?
petrol’s not put on the spot enough to need to think on his feet most of the time. That being said. he’s introspective, not slow, there’s a difference. When you’re forced into wild situations against their will, you learn to adapt very quickly. The kicker is, no matter how much quick thinking he does- he takes the extra time to actually think through so he doesn’t end up doing something stupid. Does that make sense?

he sleeps on his side facing the door and/or windows. Petrol’s a light sleeper as is- so he would be able to hear if someone was in his room when he’s in a somewhat vunerable state. He isn’t paranoid enough to sleep with, say, a weapon. He wouldn’t need one if it was an attacker lmao.
21: Your character has been granted 3 wishes; what would they wish for and why?
wish 1; a million dollars cash to his momma. wish 2; a forever regenerating pizza slice. 3; set the genie free, cmon he’s seen aladdin.
29: Are they afraid of death? Do they have any regrets?
you can’t spell Stephen van petrol without survivor’s guilt! Long story short he’s got a lot of them. He still blames himself for a friend’s death, and many more mistakes. Big or small. Petrol’s got a hard time letting things go. He isn’t afraid of dying- he’s just. very, very aware of it. He struggles with violent intrusive thoughts so, frankly, it’s unavoidable. Even so he’s trying not to make that the case all the time. he’s learning to deal with it, little by little.

to keep this ws centric- well. petrol’s first couple weeks as a new recruit were rough. at first he took down the initation tasks no problem- but as they got harder and harder, he eventually had to take a break. ok the ‘break’ was a trip to the infirmary, but still. even petrol has his limits

underage drinking? is a bad idea. like horrible idea. not to sound like a dare seminar but i wouldn’t recommend trying it. Alcoholism in teens is a serious issue tht deserves proper attention and respect. just cuz i’m writing about an instance of it doesn’t mean i condone it in any way, shape, or form.

// well, tags are used for organization and stuff, and if you’re confused on what the tags MEAN, i can show you different types of tags and what they’re used for. (also some ppl like to format their tags with phrases or lyrics, like how i do, but it’s not required! it’s all about preference)
here’s a quick glossary under the cut for you, stranger!
also if this isn’t what you meant, u can send me an ask to better explain what you mean
section 1: blog stuff
ic (means in character posts, interactions, asks, etc)
ooc (the same thing but for out of character stuff)
crack (non canon rp, or, at least rp that isn’t your canon. just dumb stuff for laughs)
inbox (this can mean, a tag for your answered asks, OR, a tag for prompts! like sentence starters and all that fun stuff)
threads/interactions (a tag for when you interact with other people’s muses. pretty self explanatory) also a note: some people tag urls of who they interact with, for easier navigation and organization reasons.
wishlist: a tag for what kind of threads or interactions you would love to do! a wishlist tag makes finding wanted RPs very easy.
promo: (for when you want to boost others in your rpc! self promo is when u do this for your own blog(s))
dash commentary (for your muse to show their reactions to events your other rpers are doing!)
section 2: muse inspo
visage/self/reflection (a tag for pictures of your character. this is where artwork and faceclaims would go)
musings (this is a bit of a complicated one. this is for stuff that reminds you of your muse, or fits your muse in a certain way. things like quotes, pictures, memes, songs, or really ANY kind of media can go here!)
about (can be interchangable with musings, but ABOUT is , well, stuff about your character! headcanons can go here, or they have their own tag!)
aesthetic (this i feel is self explanatory. this is mostly pictures based on what reminds you of your muse. it can include things they would like based off of hobbies and style too)
verses (have any aus? this is where they would go, like you could have a tag for canon verse, adult verse, monster verse etc etc)
section 3: trigger warnings
this isn’t necessarily FOR rp, but some muses have sensitive topics in their character, so trigger tagging is a way for people to filter out what they don’t want to see. I would recommend NOT formatting these tags! if you have it as fancy text, the filter won’t catch it. so a good way to tag content is simple as
trigger tw, trigger m (stands for mention), or just simply, trigger. Tagging the word is sure way to make sure the filter catches it.
