petrol struggles a lot with violent intrusive thoughts. Does this mean he’s always thinking about death or murder? no, because. that’s not how intruisive thoughts work. but he has thought about it. There would be times where he would have to make a choice to either: hurt or heal.
to answer the question. Petrol has no problem doing hurt towards strangers on the account of following orders- or to punch the lights out of someone who really deserves it. But to hurt, let alone kill someone close to him? i don’t think he could.

a) petrol has a phobia of needles, on the tangible side of things. on the intangible side of things- it’s loss of control.
b) he holds a grudge against an absent father for leaving his momma all alone to take care of a kid by himself. If petrol ever met his bio dad again, he would knock his teeth out.
c) not sure if this counts, but, beetlejuice from the musical. it reminds petrol of his friends and it’s hard to hate a villain when they act like someone you know.

☢ Would they survive an apocalyptic situation?
yes. absolutely. Depends on the type of apocalypse if he would thrive or not- but he’s INSANELY strong, good at reading people and their intentions, and can walk away from most injuries like it’s nothing. His resilience would really shine through in an apocalypse au, i wish i could tap into that side of him more.

under the cut for child death mention
Petrol regrets never going back to help his best friend aishia. he believes she’s dead because of his inaction. If a house was burning to the ground, not going back in to help someone trapped inside would be a permanent mark on you. The kicker is, he DID go back in to get aishia when she was getting all the other kids out of there. She ended up dying in the hospital because of major damage smoke did her lungs. to this day, petrol still blames himself for it.
A curse, having been long forgotten, returns bringing trouble October 31st.
The Dead will rise again and infect the living
It is up to one group of people to save humanity from the upcoming apocalypse
Will they be successful, or will humanity as we know it become zombies?
