That person describes exactly how it feels to not be a part of the allo world we live in and it's so important that this is said in a show like Heartstopper which is famous because it portrays queer joy. Having this type of representation is so important, it's shown in a beautiful way and that whole scene gives a big sense of community and comfort.

The way Isaac has his "heartstopper moment" with the green and purple leaves is also SO important. How the other characters have this type of animation when they're with their partner because they're in love, while Isaac has them because he's found out who he really is, and how those leaves instead of being there because of romantic love, are there because Isaac's "heartstopper moment" is about self love

Watching the new Heartstopper season and just oof. The scene in the first episode where Isaac comes out as aroace to Charlie. That was so real. The hesitancy. The nerves.

The way that Charlie didn't seem to know what to say. He stumbled over his words a lot going 'do you think....do you think you might be..." and let me tell you I was holding my breath because I though for sure he was going to say like 'ill' or 'hormonal imbalance' or something. Like that and the way he didn't know what aromanticism was. So fuckin real. Because even within the queer community its normal for people to not know what aromanticism or asexuality is.

And just that, the lack of joy in Isaac's coming out was also super real. Like, I feel like most of the time on the show, when a character comes out to somebody, the character is recognising it as a moment of joyful self expression and claiming one's identity. But Isaac didn't get that, because there is a lot of baggage that comes along with coming out as aroacespec even amongst queer folks. Felt really seen xx

the struggle of seeing people being happy couples knowing you won’t ever be like that is so real i actually love isaac (as much as i miss aled)

PB&J(ust thinking about how nobody will ever treat me as good as nick and charlie and tara and darcy and tao and elle and isaac to his friends treat eachother so now i have unrealistic expectations but they shouldn’t be unrealistic because people should be treated that well in relationships and yet they aren’t and i will never find love or if i do it will be with someone who will never love me back tbh i’ll probably fall for someone straight) ANYWAYS SANDWICH
