Daniel Stryker woke to the sounds of sobbing coming from Joey's room.

Getting up and rubbing the sleep from his eyes he got out of bed and walked out of his room.

He tiptoed down the hallway and peeked his head into his older brother's room.

Joey visibly jumped when he saw Daniel but his shock was quickly replaced by his usual chipper grin.

"Hey Danny, what's up little bro?" Joey asked cheerfully although Daniel could tell something was bothering him.

"Couldn't sleep." Daniel lied, well it wasn't fully a lie since he'd been struggling to sleep but that wasn't important right now.

"Sorry to hear bud, wanna come in?" Joey asked.

Daniel nodded and slipped into the room quietly closing the door.

He got into the bed cuddling up next to him.

"Joey, did you a have a nightmare." Daniel asked blinking owlishly up at Joey.

"What, No, what makes you think that?" Joey chuckled.

Daniel just frowned, his brother really was a horrible liar.

"I heard you crying." Daniel said.

"Ah." Joey frowned looking away.

"Did you?" Daniel asked.

"Yeah." Joey sighed looking away.

"What was it about?" Daniel asked.

"You don't want to know Danny." Joey sighed looking away.

"Look at me big bro." Daniel said using the demanding brother voice Joey used on him and even on Boba a few times.

Joey looked at Daniel slightly surprised to hear his younger brother using the voice on him.

"Your problems are my problems too big bro, now tell me." Daniel said.

Joey sighed and looked at Daniel.

"It's just...every time I close my eyes I'm back in the vault...being subjected to those experiments...it's just so...so horrible." Joey said a few sobs escaping him.

Daniel wrapped his arms around his big brother pulling him in for the best hug he could manage.

"I'm here for you big bro, and don't worry that karking Hemlock won't get you again." Daniel said.

Joey smiled and ruffled Daniel's hair.

"Okay one, watch your language little bro, second, thanks that means a lot." Joey smiled.

"No problem big brother." Daniel said.

Daniel suddenly yawned and Joey smirked.

"Aww is someone sleepy." Joey teased.

"No." Daniel denied but it was pointless as he yawned again.

"Okay maybe." he pouted.

Joey just laughed and ruffled Daniel's hair.

"Think we'd better get some shut eye, what do you say." Joey said.

Daniel just nodded and closed his eyes.

"Night big brother." Daniel yawned his eyes closed.

"Night little brother." Joey said.

With that both brothers fell asleep in each other's arms.
