I have Kaiju brain rot right now, so I wanted to make some concepts for my own Rodan design.
He became vulture esque, as I wanted to give em some feathers, as I thought it'd be cool if they would float off of em and burn away like embers.

im quite happy with her design but might change the wing design, still not sure about it hehe

I saw concept arts of these bloke as looking more alien like and I rlly liked that. I understand Toho wanted them to be as accurate to the og as possible and I respect that, but tbh I feel as if the point of a new incarnation is to have a change in the idea yknow?
Tried to put in more cosmic elements too but idk how to draw black holes.
I'm a fan of the Head on Flight profile but the top down and standing pose could use some work, wanted to invoke manta rays, octopus and other deep sea stuff. Will be rehashing their body in the future. Super happy with their heads tho, although I might/might not give them eyelids or other bits to give them more emotion.
I always pictured where it what if Godzilla is walking past and turns around like a owl and stare at you.

Name: Mina (Minthra)
Species: Titanus Mosura
Description: An abnormal specimen, unlike typical Titanus Mosura, Mina was created by the unification and reincarnation of a Titanus Mosura and human lifeform.
Mina is temperamental, clumsy, and immature; yet empathetic and kind. Mina does not have a clear role, being more offensive than defense; due to her peculiarity, she does not have a proper role in the world of Kaiju.

A species of Scansoriopterygid kaiju, they were mutated by a radon leak in the mine they lived in, eventually making them break out as their size rapidly grew, 3 Rodans are known as of right now: a female, her mate and their chick, all nesting near El Chichón, Mexico.

Woah its a Mothra design with a big ol chunky larva, + Shobijin for added Mothra-ness
Thought it would be neat if I gave her wings feathers for a more angelic kinda feel
So, I might as well share the refs for Godzilla: Ascension's two other kaiju protagonists... say hello to Mothra Akane and Rodan Calderon!
Akane and Calderon are individual/identifying names. In Akane's case it's to distinguish her from the previous incarnations of Mothra (Mothra's reincarnation in Ascension works like the Avatar Cycle from ATLA and a little bit like regeneration from Doctor Who- each incarnation is their own person, though with access to the memories/knowledge of and ability to commune with the spirits of their forebears). In Calderon's case it's to distinguish him from his parents, Radon Amihan and Rodan Elio (both of whom are sadly deceased by the time of the main story).
