What goes into the writing of a kiss scene?

details to incorporate:

the sensations in their stomach, their chest, and their knees

the way their breathing changes shortly before the kiss

the feeling of the other's hands

the texture of the other's clothing

the moment they realise they've reached the point of no return

the feeling they're left with after the kiss

the sensations instead of what's physically happening. (the protagonists might very well not know themselves what is happening exactly, but they feel very precisely)

Yeah, it's... uh... "Friday". I definitely didn't have Several Major Life events and drop off the face of the earth (Engagement, Travel, Layoff). It's been wild. But thanks to @winterandwords for hitting me with this tag forever ago!

Pe: It IS important. But… we’ll hide. We’ll find help. Just for a bit. Sometimes, you “do what you have to”, right?

Fuck. She was so good.

Er: Peri… Can I kiss you?

In reply, she rushed in and bumped my nose. I snickered but I took the back of her neck and guided her mouth to mine. She was so warm. And soft. I never wanted to leave. I only let her pull back a few inches. Her skin was too dark to flush like mine but my fingertips found her racing pulse.

Pe: Is that… what it’s always like?

Er: If it’s me, then yes.
