I feel like with each and every new update this series gets better and better. The POV changes are such a nice touch to this because it adds fullness. You get to see both sides of the story even though there are layers that are still yet to be unseen.
Knowing that the reader has Jinjoo now in her life to help and add stability in her life is something that also made my heart soft. Namjoon is a jack of all trades and still yet manages to have a keen poker face while doing his deeds. It's exciting and sexy and I love that you start to see him unravel at the end (but man did it leave me winded!)

The question sat heavy on the tip of his tongue for weeks. He should have asked on the days he would spot you at your desk, fingers pressed to your temples in frustration. Or on the days when he would catch you staring out the window, mind a million miles away.

Jahni!! I can't believe I missed this update, but wow was this one good.
I love the direction that this is going towards and I love how Yoongi is like a spirit guide of sorts. Giving her-pretty harsh-tough love, but I feel like it's especially needed. She's basically facing against someone who can match her energy. Push her buttons and annoy her like no one else can. I think it's pretty cool that Yoongi is there for that and I curious to see how their relationship develops along with Hoseok and Namjoon.
And awww! Poor Hoseok! I just dont want him to be brokenhearted anymore and I hope that soon she'll loosen up on him. On the other hand, I'm also waiting for Namjoon to blow up at her because I feel like Yoongi will be in the background laughing and clapping his hands the entire time.

一 CHAPTER THREE / DAY THREE.
8:00 AM. The moment you enter your office, you head straight to the swivel chair to plop down on it. Nearly falling out of it, you manage to catch yourself and just take the time to breath. You’re heavily breathing and feel that with every breath you take, you’re running out of oxygen. Another day with Hoseok waking up in bed and another day or rejecting his love. Another day of the same people standing in line waiting for ages for coffee because the machine broke down. Another day of entering the office and Namjoon hasn’t arrived at work yet. Maybe he won’t show, you tell yourself. Maybe that will be different this day.
You’re trying to be hopeful, but the phone rings and when you answer it, it’s the same voice as yesterday and the day before. It’s the same girl that has been reporting you of Namjoon’s tardiness as if this was school all over again. You cut her off, hanging up the phone completely and digging your nails into your scalp that’s in a desperate need of attention. With an exasperated sigh, you feel like crying. You don’t, though. Instead, you try to pull yourself together and turn on your desktop. The same date as the last two days and the same alert for your meeting with JackFruit. Immediately, you turn it off. You don’t think you can go through another day of this.
“For such a smart and successful woman that’s paved her way to the top, you’re fucking dumb if you still haven’t realized what’s happening to you,” a voice rings out. Looking up, you see a man slouching in the chair across from you. Pale skin, cat like eyes and jet black hair, he’s staring at you with a smirk on his face. Slouching, he adorns an all black suit and if you weren’t so frightened by who this stranger is, you’d compliment him on his attire. Instead, you’re screaming from the top of your lungs and jumping out of your chair to fall to the ground.

Your emotional state sure feels that way, fragile and on the brink of falling apart any time now.
Hi Debs. This is the first story I’ve read of yours, but I’m completely infatuated with the way you write. Your storytelling, your prose, the way you weave words into such beautiful paragraphs and bring out the most vulnerable emotions during this story is something to be applauded.
I’m a bit nervous now because usually I like to pull out some of my favorite lines or sections, but with this one, I feel like this piece should be read in its entirety. It’s like a diary, and once you click the ‘keep reading’ button, it feels as if every single word written inside is personal, fragile, and something that stays with you deep within your heart. Nonetheless, I really do enjoy the fact that slowly throughout the story you see the main character learn how to power through and embrace her emotions to “take on the world and live your life like the boss woman you are.” She’s at peace with it by the end of this chapter, but I know that it probably won’t be that easy to maintain as the story continues.
Thank you Debs for writing such an amazing and breathtaking story. I can’t wait to read what happens next for both the main character and Namjoon as well.💕💕💕💕💕

As the whirring of the blow dryer switches off, so does your unrestrained recalling come to an end. Downing the last of your coffee- now barely warm- you bring it to the kitchen to wash away the dredges the same way you wash away the thoughts of Namjoon.
I really loved this part, Debs. Including the time jump was really interesting and it was nice to know where the main character, as well as Namjoon, ended up after the first chapter. Also, I really loved how you described the anxiousness and worriedness of them meeting again after all this time. It felt real and natural, and just all-in-all, human. I’m excited and curious to see how the dinner goes, and to see if anything happens with Dong-In.

The blare of the alarm pierces straight through the pleasantry of slumber and has you fumbling blindly for your phone. It’s right there on the bedside table. You refuse to open your eyes to the morning light that streams into your apartment. Finally, your searching hand finds the coolness of the device that’s vibrating away angrily where it sits. Within a few attempts, swiping with your eyes still stubbornly closed, you get it to shut up. Rolling over, you snuggle further down under the covers, basking in the cozy warmth.
Beep. Beep.
Of course the moment of peace is not meant to last. The five-minute snooze duration on your alarm provides but a temporary respite. You groan.
But you kick the covers off, letting the cold morning air be what shocks you into alertness. Remaining in bed is really tempting, sure.
Thank god you love your job enough to overcome the daily inertia of getting up.

The warmth of him was somewhat addictive, your own arms coming wind themselves around his waist, your eyes closing in pleasure, body moulded tightly against Namjoon’s. The heat of his both mixed with the scent of his cologne was too much, all of a sudden you never wanted to leave this space.
That last sentence hit hard😖! But I really enjoyed this part and Mark’s appearance. He seems like a nice guy which makes it harder to dislike him fully. Ooh! And the forehead kiss!! My heart. I can only imagine where things will go from here now that there are four variables in this relationship and the adoption taking place. (Also, can Agnes stop being a fly on the wall PLEASE!! She’s starting to make my head hurt and she’s going to end up ruining something! I can feel it😭).

With Namjoon’s hand wrapped around your own, it was like the nerves melted from your body and were replaced with a warm glow that was hard to describe. It only intensified when you met his eyes, becoming lost in his gaze as all the pieces seemed to fall into place in your mind, heart thumping erratically against your ribs like it was trying to escape. With a shuddering sigh, you glanced down at where his thumb continued to set your skin on fire, sparking like fireworks, his voice deep and barely above a whisper when he said your name.

Joonie is a whole dad now and the reader is a mom and their baby is just so precious and cute🥺. And when Namjoon stopped in the store because he didn’t want to wake up their baby🥺🥺🥺🥺 I might have teared up alittle. But nothing hurt as painfully as the ending! Why can’t they just admit to their feelings?!?!?! I’m rooting for them though. And the fact that they have to share a bed now. (OMG another shirtless Joon??? Beginning on separate sides of the bed to only end up Cuddling at some point?!?!?!) The possibilities!!!

“Welcome home, YN.”
Is my heart complete mush right now??? Absolutely
To be honest, I’m not sure where to begin, so I’ll start at the beginning. I remember when I first read this story, I was heartbroken and teary-eyed within the first chapter. You get introduced to this main character who has gone through so much, who has experienced more pain than anyone should ever be faced with, and I felt for her. I just wanted to jump through my computer screen and hug her and make her some hot cocoa and let her know that everything would be okay. But she had Namjoon, who is absolutely the most endearing person and has the most beautiful soul, to do that for her.
As I continued on, it didn’t feel like I had to worry for her as much because I knew that she would be safe with Namjoon. He’s so perfect to her and he treats her like the finest china. He’s everything that she needed and I’m glad that he was there for her for all of those years, even as a friend. I’m also very thankful for all of her other friends as well who have helped and guided her to become the beautiful person she is now with all of her walls down.
There was such love in the caress and in his eyes, in the sort of soft smile he seemed to reserve strictly for you alone, that you knew the treasured way you felt in his presence would doubtlessly continue on, even when the two of you were getting along in years. The love in your heart grew even deeper if that was even possible when it already felt like a part of your very being, each breath feeling tied to cherishing the man before you more than you would’ve believed yourself capable of so many years ago when your pain had been so raw.
This part hit home for me because this is when I started to reflect back on everything, and seeing how things ended with their story is just so beautiful.
It honestly took me a while for me to muster up the courage and read this epilogue, but I’m glad that I did today. I’m happy that they have their own happy ending. So thank you Mint for writing this story and providing such a comfort in so many ways. Your writing is healing and in-depth and thoughtful, it just deserves all of the love and praise in the entire galaxy. Thank you again for making me so so happy, and I’ll forever be thankful for you and this story💕💕💕💕

AHHH! I'm so so happy with the way things turned out, especially with the whole Rose situation. Now there is one less person to scream at 😂. And I'm so happy that they've finally admitted their feelings and said the 'L' word. Honestly the entire smut scene was so soft and loving and just true to them. You could tell how much they cared about each other then and I'm just so happy. I hope that they have a bit a peace now that they're together and that somehow things work out with Jinhae and the mc's job.

I feel like I’ve been holding back on reading this last part for the longest. I think though that it’s because of how in love I am with the characters and I didn’t want it to end. The story you created. The emotions you drove within me. And to be honest, I’m a bit emotional and teary-eyed as I’m writing this, but I’m very thankful for you and your kindness and the fact that you share these amazing stories with us.
This final part was amazing and I loved that Namjoon finally got it together, with the help of his sister, to go for what he wanted and stop sending mixed signals. I also really enjoyed that he wanted to “do this the right way” and that was just so precious. The smut scene as well was nice. It was soft and sexy and loving, and just something that represented them and who they are inside.
I wish I had more words to express what I’m feeling, but you seem to be better at that than I am😅. But from the bottom of my heart, I am truly and forever will be grateful for everything that you’ve written, all of the conversations we’ve had even though few, and just the fact that you’re here on a space where I can continuously send my love to you. I honestly can’t believe that this is the end. Keeping Things Simple and the rest of this series has made me so so happy. I loved getting notifications for a new chapter update, sometimes during the middle of the night too, and staying up just to read that one part to go back asleep again with a smile.
Seeing the end of this series is bittersweet, but more sweet than anything else. I’m so glad that Namjoon and the m.c. were able to find their happiness together and amongst one another, and with Jinhae. I’m happy that she was able to get her job back and get pregnant. I guess that Mark wasn’t the one with the ✨magic cum✨. Those two really are soulmates😂.
Anyways, thank you so so so so soooooo much Sam for always putting a smile on my face with not only this series, but other stories that you have written. I’m going to miss these characters so much, but thank you for making my heart feel at ease. I’m sending you my love!💕💕💕💕

I’ve never experienced a break-up before. I’ve also never dated, but I have been in a situation that mimics this one. I am truly, truly amazed by the way you are able to so adequately capture thoughts, feelings, and emotions in such a vivid way. Like I said before, I’ve never been in a relationship or had a breakup, but every time I read a chapter of this story it feels like I have. Especially with this part:
Yes, you’ve read his books. Multiple times. Pored over every word and analyzed every character in search of snippets of yourself. Hoping to know whether he’s forgotten you and moved on from you or whether he’s still affected by the breakup in the same way you don’t dare to admit that you are.
The feeling of believing that you’re over it but you still find yourself coming back to things that remind you of them. It’s bittersweet but it’s beautiful to be emotional over this, and I find myself reaching the end of each part far faster than I would like. Especially with this cliffhanger at the end. In my eyes, there are three ways that the story could pan out and I’m not sure that my heart is ready for any of those.
