Wolves Have Fangs Too | Gia & Kol
Wolves have fangs too. It was something Gia was fond of saying (usually accompanied by an eye roll) whenever either someone in her Pack or some vampire started talking shit about the other group. It was her way of saying, We're not that different. It was something Gia believed firmly. While groups of humans were lining up to hate the 'unnatural' beings, Gia didn't understand why the supernaturals had to turn against each other, too. Didn't they have enough hate in their lives? It was this mentality that saw her proudly strutting in and out of each of the three bars Oxford supported and it was this mentality that had allowed her to begin a budding friendship with the vampire Vera. She'd come to Fangtopia looking for that particular vampire. Tall, slender, and stunning, Vera stood out in a crowd. Gia was surprised not to see her, in fact, when she stepped inside. Her eyes scanned the crowd, looking for signs of her. There were none. Gia's brows lifted for a moment. Shrugging, she stepped up to the counter, hoping to catch the eye of some worker, there. "Hey," she began, raising her voice slightly over the hubbub. "Where's Vera?" The bartender raised deep eyes before pointing towards someone else. "Ask Kol," came the instruction. Arching her brows, the female stepped down, shouldering her way towards the person who, Gia was sure, must be Vera's Maker. "I was beginning to think Vera didn't know how to work a door anymore," she commented, as she approached, favoring him with a light smile. "But now I see she's gone." Gia smirked, allowing her eyes to drink him in. In retrospect, Gia wasn't sure what she had expected, when Vera had talked about Kol, but this wasn't it. Tall, strapping, blue eyes...Gia's grin widened slightly as she found his eyes again. She tilted her head slightly. "I don't suppose you could point me in the right direction?"
Brows lifting ever so slightly, an amused expression glittered in her eyes as the she-wolf cast a quick glance at the startled and awed faces surrounding her. "Mr. Demille, I'm ready for my close up," she told the closest gawker, who frowned and scurried off. Eyes sliding back towards the vampire, Gia stepped up onto the dais with a small shrug and assumed the proffered seat. Admittedly, this was the last thing Gia had expected to happen tonight. She'd planned for some measure of adventure, given that the night would include both Vera and Fangtopia...but only one part of that had come true. None of that had ever stopped Gia, however. She believed in taking life as it came and, besides, she knew a thing or two about power, even if it wasn't something that had ever fully been her own. But, in any case, being invited to stay - and on the vampire's own throne-like area - was definitely not in the plan for tonight...Not that she was complaining. "You must have an amazing view up there," she commented, eyes scanning the crowd. "The one I've got is pretty interesting." Gia smiled softly towards the vampire but his eyes betrayed nothing of what might be flitting through the ancient skull of his. It wasn't so very far up and yet, she felt as if she could see everyone there - when the flashing lights weren't against her - and they were getting up to some rather wild exploits. No shock there. Absently, Gia tried to remember what she'd been told about Kol Svansson, but came to the rapid realization it wasn't much to go on. He was a vampire, a Viking, and older than any of the buildings in this part of the world. She suddenly wondered if life must seem excessively dull, after awhile. "I hope you don't have to sit here, every night," she commented. "That would suck," Gia frowned. "No pun intended..." Gia rolled her eyes at herself. Smooth. Chuckling softly, she shook her head. "Fair warning, I do make alot of puns." Her eyes gleamed with amusement, already anticipating the same kind of irritation or resignation most people generally used to greet this kind of statement.

Gia's face lit with surprised pleasure as she laughed at his pun. That certainly wasn't the reaction she'd expected, but she was glad of it. If there was anything Gia detested, it was stiffness of spirit - something her father had always been. It relieved her to find that the Sheriff was not. "I'm quite sure of it," she responded through a grin. "If there's one thing I know about fangs, it's that they weren't meant for boredom." She wasn't especially bored in her wolf form, either; she wasn't supposed to be. She was free. Vaguely, she wondered if that's how it might feel to be a vampire in his element. "A wolf in sheep's clothing, no less," concurred Gia, tilting her head to one side, eyes twinkling. "Vera and I have struck up something of an unlikely friendship, I'll admit, but I've never had a problem with vampires. When you get down to it, we're not much different, are we?" She might have been referring to something perfectly human - Gia wasn't concerned what she was saying was about to unmask the werewolf conundrum to any human stragglers, but the other virtue of their situation was that the only ones who could hear them up there, over all the chaos, were other vampires and werewolves. "Oooh," Gia sat forward eagerly to make her order. "Just a Jack and coke, please," she said quickly. "Thanks!" Gia watched with curiosity as a young vampire trickled up and Kol interacted surrepticiously with him, soon grinning. She wasn't sure what was going on, but she also wasn't sure she should ask. She didn't want to overstep and she was quite sure there were things she wouldn't want a vamp asking her about the way wolves did things so she watched with interest, choosing to take life - as always - as it came. Still, she couldn't say she was displeased with the way Kol was now looking at her - in fact, she preferred it. Gia liked to know what she was dealing with, she liked an open countenance. "The one and only," she responded lightly. "Gia Desstrin, cast off rich girl, former human disaster, always she-wolf, and alcoholic extraordinaire," she added, happy to poke fun at herself. "And you are Kol Svansson, vampire, Viking, and Vera's Maker," she said, pleased with herself for having found three 'v's to fit into that list. Gia she shrugged, inviting him to share or not as he pleased.
