Thanks for the tag! This is an interesting one, but I’ll bite ^^

(I’m surprised that Ali made the list, like, he is so lovely, he can do no wrong in my eyes ^^)

Greed:

Orpheus. He is a billionaire who owns two of the UK’s leading entertainment companies, plus he uses his wealth to buy his and his family’s way out of trouble on the regular. He wants a complete monopoly over the country so that he can do whatever he wants without consequences.

Sloth:

Oh, Eurydice, 100%. She got pregnant, so Orpheus married her, and she hasn’t worked a day in her life since their son, Brooklyn was born, and she wastes all of her time spending her husband’s money on designer clothes and posting bad takes on X. She’s one of those celebrities who’s famous because they married rich, and not because they’re talented in any way.

Gluttony:

This was a difficult one, but if I had to pick one, it’d probably be Pamela (I’m not sure if that will be her final name, as she’s a very new OC, but I like the meaning so far and it seems to suit her). She’s a vampire doctor who steals blood packs from the hospital she works at to feed herself with. She refuses to bite humans to get her blood, as she doesn’t want to hurt anyone or turn them into a vampire without their consent.

Wrath:

Solana, 100% Solana. She is very quick to anger, and she likes making her enemies suffer, especially Orpheus. He deserves it for what he did to her, and for what his son did to her girlfriend, Ariel…

Envy:

Theo fits this to a T. He wants everything that Kunio has, but he’ll never get it, and let’s be honest, he doesn’t deserve it. People like Theo who expect everyone to allow them to treat them like shit without consequences don’t deserve friends or a partner.

Lust:

Brooklyn. He wouldn’t take ‘no’ for an answer and thought that he was entitled to the affections of every woman he ever wanted. He stalked, harassed and threatened women whenever they refused his advances, and if stalking and threats didn’t coerce them into letting him sleep with them, he straight up raped them.

Pride:

Kunio, honey, the call is coming from inside from the house on this one. He takes pride in everything he does, especially his art. He’s the kind of artist who’s so talented that he makes other artists feel worthless when they look at his art, and he owns it. If you compliment his art, he won’t shyly laugh it off, no, your compliment will go straight to his head because he knows that he deserves it ^^

Rules: which of your OCs would you assign to which of the seven deadly sins and why?

Alright, here we go ✨

Greed:

Peter from Peter Hart would have to take this one. He’s a treasure pirate, and captain of the Golden Phoenix Gang. That title alone shows that Peter is a fan of materialistic wealth, and has amassed a fair amount of coin on all of his adventures. One of the themes in Peter Hart is “The Price of Greed,” which is to say he has to choose between a moral good and his own self-indulgence quite often.

Sloth:

Noah from YWIMC takes this one. He is holed up in his apartment when he’s not required to attend class, takes online courses when that option is given just to avoid going out in public, and hates going outside of his comfort zone.

Wrath:

Tyr from ITROG fits the bill the best. He is one spiteful, vengeful, and angry OC that constantly fights for his own survival, and his defiant and bull-headed attitude has gotten him into lots of trouble, with the biggest act of defiance serving as the catalyst for his forced adventure.

Gluttony:

Ali from YWIMC would fit this sin best. He is not only a glutton for knowledge, but is also incredibly self-indulgent once he is freed from the lamp. Taking life’s pleasures to the extreme, as well as his love of cooking, matches this sin very well.

Envy:

Gustav from ITROG would be the most envious OC. Constantly searching and competing with nature, he’s always felt like an outcast to other giants. He often finds himself wishing to fit in, and wishing to have that sense of family that he doesn’t have as a wandering lone wolf.

Lust:

Itazura from Tenshito would be lust on account of his occupation (porn star). Though he does wish to escape this job and become a chef, there’s no doubt that Ita has enjoyed the fortune that comes with this role, despite despising the fame. Being paid exorbitantly has had its merits, yet one of Ita’s struggles in the story is how much his current job is worth the risk.

Pride:

Benjamin from Peter Hart would match this sin the most. Being raised as a prince has given Benji a sense of ego, which thoroughly gets checked on several occasions. His sense of self-worth on the surface seems inflated, but deep down Benjamin struggles with his identity, and wishes to escape his duties in order to freely express himself.

You may have noticed that Tenshi from Tenshito is not on this list. The cinnamon roll angel is no sinner; he is a saint. 🙏🪽✨

1.) Skydiving, Scubadiving, or Staying Safe at Home?

Skydiving looks cool, but I feel like I’d piss myself out of sheer terror if I tried it. Maybe staying home would be best…Especially since I can’t swim, so scuba diving would be off the table for me…

2.) Introvert or Extrovert?

Extrovert. I need to stay busy, or be around somebody all the time or else I’ll be alone with the darkness in my mind, and trust me, you don’t wanna know about that. Not even my therapist knows all of the fucked up thoughts in my head, and if he did, I’d probably be sectioned for life…

3.) Do you prefer Big City, Log Cabin in the Woods, Seaside Loft, or Wide Plains Country?

I like Newcastle, but my dream home is out in the country. Nathaniel’s always talking about how he wants to live in an old Victorian house out in the country…

I really really REALLY like reading nature books! I could spend hours reading….mmmm…..just about anything, really. Sometimes, Ita has to come into the room because I couldn’t hear him calling for me.

How long have you had your writing Tumblr/Writeblr? A fast and loose estimate is fine!

Since around September last year.

What led you to create it?

Simple, I wanted to promote my books and meet other writers, and tumblr seemed like the best place to do that. And so far, that has very much been the case ^^

What’s your favorite thing about the Writeblr community?

How supportive everyone is here. It’s been quite easy to break in and gain a following ^^

What’s one thing you’d like your mutuals to know about you?

You are always welcome to interact with me in any way you see fit. Tag me, send me asks, comment on my stories and OCs, I live for all of it.

When someone asks the dreaded, “What do you write about,” question, what do you usually say?

I usually just tell people that I write romance and fantasy. Some of my friends ask if I’ll ever write anything with two completely straight characters, but I don’t plan on doing that anytime soon. That and every single one of my projects so far has at least one main character on the asexual/aromantic spectrum (The Tengu And The Angel has Nathaniel, who’s demiromantic, Night Of The Blue Moon has Ariel, who’s asexual, and Solana, who’s graysexual, and Blood On A Yellow Rose has two aromantic MCs, Pamela and Zinnia)

I have a lot, but just to name a few…Kunio, Nathaniel, Tama, Layla, Theo, Ariel, Solana, Raphael, Anargyros, Brooklyn, Orpheus, Eurydice, Mia, Myrna, Pamela, and Zinnia. (That’s right! The MCs for my new project, Blood On A Yellow Rose, have official names now!)

Who’s the most unhinged?

Theo, definitely Theo. He’s very mentally unstable, and he drove everyone who ever cared about him away with his toxic, abusive behavior.

Who comes the most naturally for you to write?

Kunio. I know him like the back of my hand.

Do you ever cringe at them?

Sometimes.

How much control do you feel you have over your characters?  AKA, do they ever “write themselves,” refuse to cooperate, or do things you didn’t expect? To what degree? Are some less cooperative than others?

I have a fair sense of control over Ariel, but her thoughts and feelings are quite similar to my own, so that’s a given. I have significantly less control over Kunio and Nathaniel, however. They have a tendency to write themselves…And to make bad decisions that ultimately end up making things worse for them…

Kunio: Since when do I make bad decisions?

Me: Since you decided to go and meet with your mother. I knew that that wouldn’t end well, but you insisted on going

Do you enjoy people asking questions about your characters? And do you have a preferred means of receiving said questions? For example, as Asks, as replies, as reblogs, as tag notes, as comments on AO3, etc.

Oh, yes, I love getting questions and/or comments about my OCs. I don’t have a preference, any kind of interaction is fine by me, I just like seeing that people care about my OCs enough to want to know more ^^

Is there anything you’d like to see more of on your dash?

I’d honestly like to see more of my moots publishing their full works instead of just snippets. I know that your work is good, please publish it, I want to buy it and read it in full and tell everyone I know to read it too ^^

What makes you decide against following?

I won’t follow someone who’s any form of -ist or -phobic, especially ace/arophobic. I also won’t follow someone if I know that they are a minor, as I don’t want to expose kids to my writing when it’s not really appropriate for them.

Which Works-in-Progress (WIPs) or writing projects are you noodling about, lately?

Anyone who’s following me already knows this, but I’m working on Night Of The Blue Moon RN, and after that I’ll be writing Blood On A Yellow Rose ^^

How long have you been working on them?

It took me a few years to finish The Tengu And The Angel. I started it in 2021 and didn’t finish it until 2023, but that’s because there were a lot of things about it that were extremely challenging to write. As for Night Of The Blue Moon, I started drafting it in December 2023, finished the first draft in August, and I’m now finishing the second draft ^^

Do you remember what inspired them/what got you started?

The Tengu And The Angel was inspired by Nana, and I also wanted to work my obsession with Japanese mythology into it somehow, so I decided to try and weave some of that mythology into what is otherwise a story grounded in harsh reality. As for Night Of The Blue Moon, I really wanted to write a magical girl story, and I went with Greek mythology as a theme because I know Greek mythology very well (Are you noticing a theme here?), and I thought that it would be fun to make Orpheus a bad guy. Oh, and I decided to make it gay because every good magical girl story is at least a little bit sapphic, am I right?

Blood On A Yellow Rose, meanwhile, is drawn from my own experiences of being aromantic. Both MCs are tired of being treated like second class citizens because they don’t want romantic relationships, and both have been ditched by people who called themselves their friends, only to immediately abandon them when they started dating someone. There’s gonna be a lot of discussion about how platonic relationships are viewed as second-class relationships by society, and how the devaluation of platonic relationships contributes to bigotry against those on the aromantic spectrum.

How much time, in your best estimation, do you spend thinking about them?

A good 70-80% of my conscious thoughts are about my WIPs. I don’t write to live, I live to write.

Do you interact with non-mutuals often?

I try to. I will follow anyone whom I find particularly interesting, and if I like the look of their books (Assuming that they have published books), I’ll reblog them so that I don’t forget to add them to my reading list ^^

Do your mutuals’ characters occupy space in your noodle?

You bet! I LOVED Shadow’s Hidden Blade, but I can’t say much about Ursa without spoiling the entire thing (Go read it, it’s seriously good), and I must have gushed about Rei and Teru way too often by now (Go read The Stars May Rise And Fall, if a gay Phantom Of The Opera retelling set in 2000s Japan sounds like your thing, you’ll love it, and even if it isn’t, you’ll probably still love it)

What led you to create it?

When I set up all my socials, I wanted to use this as a way to build a writing community, share my stories, and exploring and sharing the ideas of other likeminded individuals.

What’s your favorite thing about the Writeblr community?

How kind and welcoming writeblr is. The community is supportive of everyone’s stories and OCs, and everyone has some wonderfully unique and fascinating characters.

What’s one thing you’d like your mutuals to know about you?

You are always. Always. ALWAYS welcome to tag me, message me, send asks, interact with me. I absolutely endorse the engagement and excitement in this community, and even though I may miss a few tags, just know that seeing you tag me to see your stories brings the biggest, goofiest smile on my face. WIP it Good

Which Works-in-Progress (WIPs) or writing projects are you noodling about, lately?

Your Wish Is My Command is my current WIP at about 75% complete. I have a little bit to share from Tenshito as well, but the latter will have to get majorly cut down and restructured before it’s ready ✨

How long have you been working on them?

Planning and ideas began a couple of years ago. Writing them down? For YWIMC since early May, and Tenshito since 2020 (took a hiatus to focus on work and big life stuff, like moving twice and getting married)

Do you remember what inspired them/what got you started?

My love of storytelling, video games, and Disney. I wrote and published Peter Hart based off of a few of my favorite video games 🏴‍☠️💛✨

How much time, in your best estimation, do you spend thinking about them?

All the time. At least once a day, if not more. My stories help me get to sleep…when I eventually GET to sleep 😴💤

When someone asks the dreaded, “What do you write about,” question, what do you usually say?

BL romantasy novels. It encompasses every person asking, and umbrellas many subgenres.

Oh always!! ALWAYS!! Any method is absolutely fine and encouraged by me, but I ALWAYS love when people leave AO3 comments on my stories 💖💫✨

On writeblr engagement

What makes you want to follow another Writeblr account? Do you follow ‘em as you see ‘em, or take time scoping out the blog to make sure you align with its content? Do you follow based on WIPs, or vibes?

I scope out the content before I follow for sure. Because I write adult fiction, I look through posts to make sure that our interests would align, and that the blog mentions an age that is 18+. If I am ever uncertain or have a suspicion beyond a reasonable doubt that the blog is run by a minor, I won’t follow them (and unfollow if I get suspicious of their posts)

What makes you decide against following?

I use discretion on age, politics, and religion before following. Any homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise hateful conduct gets automatically blocked. The world needs more kindness and uplifting of one another. We need to bring each other up, not tear each other down.

Do you interact with non-mutuals often?

I try to! Usually in the form of reblogs and ask games. My pile for work and tumblr keeps stacking though, so I find myself getting very busy very often (and that’s a good thing! ✨)

Do your mutuals’ characters occupy space in your noodle?

All the time, every time. To name a few mutuals: G.J, Jamie, Gioia, Casper, Tobin, Jay, Wyked, Gina, and Jev have characters that are my current hyperfixations. But there are SO, SO many that are so interesting that I want to learn more!! ✨
