Thanks for the tag! It took a lot to get through this, but I think I covered everything well enough ^_^

When did you first start writing?

I was born in front of a laptop with a plot outline in my hand. I’m kidding, but point is, I’ve been doing it since I was a very small child.

Are the genres/themes you enjoy reading different from the ones you write?

Not at all. It wouldn’t make sense to write romance and fantasy if I didn’t enjoy both of those genres.

Is there an author (or just a fellow writer!) you want to emulate, or one to whom you’re often compared?

I don’t particularly want to emulate anyone except for Ai Yazawa, but only because her ability to create human characters is unmatched. She is the only writer I have ever read who is able to perfectly translate the thoughts and feelings of real people into fiction. I want to be able to do that too.

As for who I’m compared to…When I found The Tengu And The Angel on romance.io (I don’t know why it’s there, I didn’t put it on there), the site recommended that people read Alice Oseman because her books are similar to mine. Which, I’m not gonna lie, I find that to be quite the compliment.

Can you tell me a little about your writing space(s)? (Room, coffee shop, desk, etc.)

Living room, on the couch. I’m always most productive after I’ve cooked and eaten a proper meal. I love to cook, even though I don’t always have the spoons for it, but something about the cooking process helps the writing process.

What’s your most effective way to muster up some muse?

Read some of whichever book I’m currently reading. I live by Stephen King’s principle of, ‘If you don’t have time to read, you don’t have time to write.’

Did the place you grew up in influence the people/places you write about?

No. I take most of my inspiration from the people I’ve met, or from places I either have visited, or want to visit. My hometown has never factored into my writing.

Which of your characters would you want to be friends with in real life?

Nathaniel and Solana. I’d definitely vibe the most with them.

Which of your characters would you dislike the most if you met them in real life?

Brooklyn Steadman, and I didn’t even have to think about an answer to this one. The fact that men like him exist in real life sickens me, and I enjoyed writing him so that I could give someone like him the punishment he deserves.

Tell me the process of coming up with your characters

My recipe for an OC goes as follows:

1 cup of personality traits

1 cup of backstory (I prefer tragic, but any kind works)

A pinch of things I personally think are cool

Do you notice any recurring themes among your characters?

I’ve spotted two so far. 1.) Being either on the aromantic or asexual spectrum (I’m a big believer in doing a job myself if I want it done right, I’m aro ace and I write characters who are on both spectrums because there needs to be more aro ace representation), and 2.) Traumatised people with mommy issues who are angry with the world and use unhealthy coping mechanisms. I’m looking at you, Kunio and Solana…

How do you picture them?

Short answer: I can’t. I have a mild form of aphantasia and I cannot picture things in my head in detail, which sucks. I often look for real-life reference images for my characters, and then use those to give to artists to create concept art of them. I found the perfect reference image for Nathaniel when I was making an aesthetic board for him, like, it was as if he’d somehow jumped off of the page and found his way into real life, and I wish I could find reference images that perfect for all of my OCs. Kunio was way harder to come up with a reference image for, and really the closest I could get was an old photo of Haruma Miura. He was the only person I could find who looked anything like what I envisioned for Kunio.

What’s your reason for writing?

I write because I want to save people from reality. Reality sucks, and fiction provides an escape from reality. Fiction is a place where people can be happy, and free from their problems. When reality has you broken, bleeding, and backed against the wall, let my works be your refuge.

Is there a specific comment or type of comment you find particularly motivating coming from your readers?

I live for detailed, in-depth reviews. If someone tells me specifically which parts of the book they liked best, I’ll know that I’ve made an impact on them. If someone tells me that a certain character or event resonated with them, or brought them comfort and hope, I’ll know that I’ll have successfully saved someone from reality.

How do you want to be thought of by those who read your work? (For example: as a literary genius, or as a writer who “gets” the human condition; as a talented worldbuilder, as a role model, etc.)

I want to be someone who is able to save people from reality. I want people to read my books knowing that they will give them the things that reality cannot offer them.

What do you think is your greatest strength as a writer?

Characterisation. I pour as much humanity into my characters as possible, and a lot of the behavioral patterns of my characters are ones that I’ve witnessed firsthand in real life. Real people aren’t perfect—They make excuses for people who don’t deserve their forgiveness, they hurt without meaning to, and they bottle their emotions up until they explode and make a mess of everything around them, and I make sure to reflect that in my characters.

What have you been frequently told your greatest writing strength is by others?

Again, characterisation. Kunio is by far my most popular character, and for good reason. (He’s also one of my personal favorites because he’s really fun to write ^_^)

How do you feel about your own writing?

As it stands, I’m proud of my abilities as a writer, but I know that I can always do better, and I’m always looking for ways to improve my craft. If you’re satisfied with staying where you are, you’ll never go any further.

If you were the last person on earth and knew your writing would never be read by another human, would you still write?

If that were the case, I would paint my stories on a wall or carve them into stone in the hopes that some alien civilisation will discover them after I’m gone. Even with the absence of humanity, I don’t want to be forgotten, and if only one record of my existence survives, I want it to be my writing.

Are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading?

I have to admit, it’s a bit of both. I’ll only write a book if I have a story I want to tell, but at the same time, I want my books to sell well, and I will look for specific gaps in the market that I want to fill. I have never seen any mainstream publisher put out a book with a demiromantic main character—I’ve seen a few aromantic characters, but the rest of the aromantic spectrum seems to be largely ignored by mainstream publishers, which is part of what lead to my decision to make Nathaniel demiromantic.

I’ll answer the best I can. Bear in mind I’m a little bit of a chaos gremlin :)

About Me

When did you first start writing?

About 12 years old. I always took a liking to Disney animated classics, which have inspired me to write and draw similar to the style.

Are the genres/themes you enjoy reading different from the ones you write?

Actually, the two are very similar. What I love to write is what I love to read. I’ve taken more of a fancy to writing romances now as opposed to a decade ago, though :)

Is there an author (or just a fellow writer!) you want to emulate, or one to whom you’re often compared?

Not that I’m aware of. Everyone has taken a little bit of inspiration from different sources, whether knowingly or unknowingly, so there are probably some authors or writers that I share similarities with. I know for a FACT that a lot of my stories draw heavy inspiration from Disney, which has influenced my art and storytelling styles ✨

Can you tell me a little about your writing space(s)? (Room, coffee shop, desk, etc.)

Ahhh, yes. Couch, coffee table, writing laptop, coffee. Soft throw draped across my lap as I get perpetually cold. Thankfully, it’s nice and quiet in this writing space and it allows me to let me do string-of-thought writing for hours. The only thing is sometimes I lose track of time this way, so I have to set an alarm for breaks and meals.

What’s your most effective way to muster up some muse?

Watching movies, listening in on my friends’ DnD campaigns, or reading stories from friends and mutuals :)

Did the place(s) you grew up in influence the people and places you write about?

Not really. I keep my personal life and writing life pretty separate. After all, a great thing about writing fantasy is that it doesn’t HAVE to tie in to the real world, or personal life. It can be whatever I want it to be ✨

Are there any recurring themes in your writing, and if so, do they surprise you at all?

Recurring themes? You bet. I either write a high fantasy BL Romance, or low fantasy slice-of life RomCom. My favorite writing tropes are Enemies to Lovers, Slow Burn, Found Families, Romantic Comedy, Magic in the Mundane, Slice of Life, Call to Action/Prophecy, and Absurdism.

Do they surprise me? Absolutely. I can have a beautiful plot all planned out, and then my characters say, “okay I see the route, but what if we take a sliiiiight detour? :)” and then soon enough I’m on a totally unique and unexplored path in my writing….and that’s exciting. An adventure all on its own ✨

My Characters

Would you please tell me about your current favorite character? (Current WIP, past WIP, never used, etc.)

I fear if I don’t say Peter here, he’s gonna kill me. In my current WIP, my favorite character is Ali because he’s a lovable goofball genie that wants the best for Noah. Overall currently (side eying) Peter because he’s a chaotic-neutral, anti-establishment, insane pirate captain that makes my life entertaining 😂

Which of your characters do you think you’d be friends with in real life?

Ali. Hands down. Dude gets along with just about everyone.

Which of your characters would you dislike the most if you met them?

Any of the villains I wrote, but going off of main OCs? Gosh that’s tough….probably Tyr because he’s really angry all the time (for good reason, but too much of that is toxic)

Tell me about the process of coming up with of one, all, or any of your characters.

Oh boy. That’s a big one. Let’s see….

Character building kinda happens simultaneously to Plot Planning; it’s a bit hard to describe, as there’s no “right order” to my world building. But usually it’s: “Okay, who is my protagonist? Who is the antagonist? What do they look like? Is the protag a hero, or villain? Is the antag a hero, or villain? What is their ‘general moral alignment?’ What are their characteristics? What are their strengths? What are their flaws? What are their goals and aspirations? Etc.” I do this for each major character. Then, secondary and supporting characters, who get a little less polish but still enough to be human (or relatable) in nature, start getting fleshed out.

Once I get the Core Plots and characters made and planned out, I start piecing the events in chronological order in the story. This becomes my “roadmap” that helps drive the narrative. Then….well, the rest just kinda falls into place. Once I have a “Plan of Events,” all that’s left is writing the story around the plan. And, as I’m writing, new ideas may come, and I get to explore that a little further during the writing phase.

tl;dr: I do the “Tree Approach.” Characters are the foundational trunk. Branches are the Core Plots. Twigs are the Conflicts. Leaves are the little details of each conflict (i.e. how characters react, where the conflict is set, what this means for each character’s aspirations, etc.)

Yep :)

How do you picture them? (As real people you imagined, as models/actors who exist in real life, as imaginary artwork, as artwork you made or commissioned, anime style, etc.)

What’s your reason for writing?

Personal enjoyment, mainly. And how far I can stretch and challenge my creative mind ✨

Any story reactions and positive engagement is always appreciated. Just don’t be a dick and you’re good 👍

How do you want to be thought of by those who read your work? (For example: as a literary genius, or as a writer who “gets” the human condition; as a talented worldbuilder, as a role model, etc.)

I loathe this question. As long as people enjoy my stories, that’s what matters. I’m just one silly little guy writing stories for my own enjoyment. The fact that other people can enjoy my wild ideas as well is a blessing in of itself.

What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?

Comedy and Dialogue. And comedic timing.

What have you been frequently told your greatest writing strength is by others?

Same as above. Also have been told that I have wildly entertaining and outlandishly creative ideas portrayed in “insane, chaotic, and ballsy ways.” Coolio 🤙

How do you feel about your own writing? (Answer in whatever way you interpret this question.)

I’m proud of it. I’ve successfully written stories that I wanted to read, and reading back through my stories is really entertaining and motivating :)

If you were the last person on earth and knew your writing would never be read by another human, would you still write?

I’ve already been writing stories on my own for well over a decade, nearly two. It was my husband and friends who finally pushed me to go public, and I’m very glad I did :)

When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, or do you write purely what you enjoy? If it’s a mix of the two, which holds the most influence?

I write solely for my entertainment, and my personal opinion is that’s the best way to do it, honestly. If I write stories that I want to read, I enjoy them, I spend more effort on them because I WANT to, not to please anyone other than myself. I don’t inhibit myself or censor myself, allowing me creative freedom to write wherever my heart takes me….which has led to some WILDLY entertaining plots. Even if writing is a career to some, if you find yourself enjoying what you write, you’re gonna motivate yourself beyond your wildest imaginations ✨

Describe his/her room:

Finally, swinging first his arms over the window pane, then his legs, Peter tucked and rolled inside the lavish room. It was adorned with golden accents, royal purple sheets, and heavily ornamented furniture. Standing quickly, the blonde pirate dusted off his hands and took stock.

“Right….” He looked around the room, observing his surroundings. “….Vanity, check. Wardrobe, check…..hm?” Peter knelt down on one knee and looked underneath the bed. A few sheets were preemptively tied together, as if the person this room belonged to had been planning an escape. “Ah, well that makes my job easy…..”

The Golden Pirate pulled out the makeshift rope, pulling the sheets taut as he tested the integrity of the tied ends. “….Though, whoever made this needs a few tips on tying knots….” Peter reinforced the sheets in his own sailor knots, satisfied that they would hold his weight. Then, he draped the rope of sheets over the bottom of the window, outside the room as they billowed down to a foot above the ground. Tying the other end tightly to the foot of the heavy bed, he secured his exit and got to work scavenging the room for loot.

Way of speaking: British accent, speaks like a royal.

Physical characteristics (posture, gestures, attitude): very dynamic, perpetually pissed off, carries himself like a prince not because he wants to, but because that’s what he had to do in the castle.

Solana is a 25 year old Vtuber and sex worker, best known for her role as Akai Starlight, an alien goddess Vtuber signed to the UK’s top Vtuber agency, VSweeties. She hates her work at VSweeties, and wants to be able to quit so that she can stop doing sex work, and she’s currently trying to make it as an indie Vtuber under the name Kirameki Sunstone. Despite the difficulties she faces with her work, she maintains a sunny disposition, and she tries to see the best in people. She spends her Sundays volunteering at a food bank near her apartment, as she likes to be able to help those in need.

Solana would suit someone whose idea of a perfect date night is staying in and playing Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley, or eating cheese and drinking wine on a picnic blanket under the light of the full moon. Ali is 28….eternally. A genie that was cursed around 620 AD, he’s a very cultured, very friendly Muslim man who is incredibly extroverted and the life of the party. He always tries to see the best in people, to a fault, and wants to make sure everyone is having a good time and doesn’t feel left out.

Night Of The Blue Moon

Indie game developer who lives a double life is forced to live a triple life when she’s given powers by the titan Phoebe, and tasked with defeating Orpheus, the supervillain whose son ruined her life and her career prospects. Also she’s in love with her sidekick, but she doesn’t know it (Yet). This is basically Miraculous Ladybug meets Percy Jackson, but for adults. Also it’s very gay because what’s a magical girl story without sapphic subtext? Currently in progress, release date TBA, but will likely be early 2025

Blood On A Yellow Rose

Aromantic vampire doctor befriends terminally ill patient who is also aromantic. Vampire turns terminally ill patient into a vampire so that they can live forever when it becomes abundantly clear that the two of them are soulmates, and there’s a lot of discussion about amatonormativity in human society, and how it contributes to bigotry against people on the aromantic spectrum. Both are tired of being treated like second class citizens due to never wanting to be in a romantic relationship, and being abandoned by their friends in favor of romantic pursuits. In progress, release date TBA but will likely be sometime in 2026

The genie becomes the researcher’s roommate and helps to bring him out of his shell, while learning some new things on his own. Also a slow burn, Friends to Lovers Slice of Life with lots of sex.

3. In The Realm of Giants

3. A high-fantasy adventure in the great Norse north. Two idiots, a giant and a human, go on an epic quest to one of the three major roots of the World Tree. Giant abducted human after catching human stealing some of his food, forcing the human on a journey across Jotünheim. Everything is giant to the human. Everything. Don’t ask how—this is also a slow burn Enemies to Lovers with….you guessed it….a lot of sex.

4. Tenshito

4. Archangel escapes the restrictive teachings of his seven older brothers to explore Earth Realm. Winds up accidentally launching himself into the cosmos, landing in a forest located in Japan. Angel must keep a human disguise to not be discovered by both Earth’s inhabitants, and his brothers who are actively hunting him to drag him back to the Heavenly Realms. Runs into a kind stranger, lives with him in his remote dojo in the woods, and discovers even deeper secrets about life on earth, outside of Earth, and his new friends. Friends to Lovers, Slice of Life in Japan where…..you get the idea 🍆

5. Lone Star Rangers

5. Gay cowboy finds a bounty (gay plant alien) on a dying planet, decides not to turn him in for credits, and both become bounty hunting partners. Intergalactic sci-fi, weird-western cowboys and aliens adventure across the cosmos. Cowboy sex. Yeehaw.

6. Operation: Relations

Man who is a professional cat burglar is rivals with a museum night guard. Preparing for heists at night, lives a normal life during the day. Runs into his rival outside of work, and night guard develops a huge crush on the thief. Thief knows exactly who the night guard is, night guard does not know he developed a crush on his rival (thief uses a disguise and voice mod). Crime syndicate that thief is a part of thinks this is a great opportunity to keep tabs on the Night Guard as part of the operation: tells Thief to take Night Guard on his offer to date. Thief is reluctant, but has to stick to the plan. Lots of shenanigans and sex ensues.

Allow me to introduce my truly despicable villain, Orpheus, whom no one will be able to blorbify. I cannot overstate how horrible of a person he is. (Going to add a brief trigger warning for SA)…

Orpheus, otherwise known as Viceroy Steadman, is a billionaire in his early 50s who owns the in-universe equivalent of Hololive and Netflix. He made a deal with Hades in the hopes of buying his son, Brooklyn’s soul back from Thanatos. Brooklyn is currently in a coma, and Thanatos is due to collect his soul when he dies in three months’ time, but Hades will tell Thanatos to allow Brooklyn to live, if Orpheus guides 100 lost souls who linger on Earth, unable to pass on, to the Underworld. Sounds a bit sympathetic, right? Wrong! Brooklyn was a stalker and rapist, and Orpheus was not only aware of this, but helped him get away with his crimes. Not only that, but Orpheus isn’t guiding lost souls to the Underworld—He’s killing people he doesn’t like. And the person on the top of his hit-list is Ariel Gianapoulou, the MC, who was one of Brooklyn’s victims…

(I’m not gonna lie, the whole reason I created him was because I’m tired of sympathetic villains. I wanted to create a terrible, horrible, no good, completely irredeemable villain, and I think I succeeded)

Kunio: Easily my granddad’s kiritanpo nabe. The recipe has been in his side of the family for well over a hundred years, and for good reason, it’s delicious, and it really hits the spot on a cold day, plus it’s a great way to use up leftover kiritanpo. Slice them into bite-sized pieces, and simmer them in chicken bone broth with ginger, chicken thighs, mushrooms, parsley, and burdock root…Shit, I’m getting hungry just thinking about it…

what is an experience (good or bad) that has turned you off or on to a food completely?

Ariel: The matcha choux au craquelin from Sugar Berry. The first time I went to Sugar Berry, it was really late, I hadn’t eaten all day, and the only things they had left were matcha cream puffs and coffee mousse cakes. I hate coffee so I got a matcha choux au craquelin, and it was the best thing I’ve ever tasted. The pastry was soft, but it was covered in a buttery matcha crumb that reminded me of crumble topping, and inside was matcha pastry cream, strawberries, and the whole thing was topped off with swirls of chantilly cream and a white chocolate drizzle. I go to Sugar Berry once a week to get a matcha choux au craquelin now, and whenever my girlfriend visits, she brings me at least three.

Solana: And that’s because if I don’t bring you proper food, you won’t eat a proper meal the next day, babe. I know that cream puffs aren’t a proper meal, but they’re probably better for you than three cans of rock star and a packet of instant ramen…

if you could eliminate one piece of produce, meat, dairy or sweets off the earth what would it be?

Kunio: Green peppers can get fucked, in a bad way. Last time I tried to eat one, I threw up. That and my granddad embarrassed himself in public one time because of green peppers. He tried to buy some at a farmers market, but he didn’t know the English word for green pepper, so he got some funny looks when he asked if they had ピーマン…(Piiman)

and dessert is normally saved for last, but if you could what would you order for your entree at a restaurant?

Ariel: I’d skip the entreè and go straight for dessert. I’m not big on savory foods. I prefer sweets, and if I could I’d eat sweets for every meal.

Nathaniel: One, I’ve never had the time, two, my boyfriend cooks all of our meals, and three, the last time I tried to cook something all by myself, I set off the smoke alarm…

Ali’s baklava. It’s got a flaky, buttery crust that just melts on your tongue, a thin layer of chocolate and hazelnut spread between the sheets of sweet dough, topped with a thin drizzle of hot, chocolate syrup and powdered sugar. Sometimes, he adds a few sliced banana to it and the flavor is, mmmm. ✨-Noah (YWIMC)

what is an experience (good or bad) that has turned you off or on to a food completely?

Oh God, I cringe at the memory….Harley had me go fishing for our meal once, and the squish of fish fry between my fingers is a feeling I will not soon forget. The smell of raw fish, bait, rust from the sea-weathered equipment. Ugh. I’ll stick with potatoes and fruit, thank you very much. I know Peter will try to force me to eat a protein, but I can’t stomach looking at the face of a dead fish. Mmmm…perhaps if it was in a stew…..-Benjamin (Peter Hart)

Great Expectations. I could never pinpoint exactly why I liked it when I was fourteen, but now I think I like it because I saw a bit of myself and Theo in Estella and Miss Havisham. Theo took me in when I had no one else, and he tried to break me down so that I could never love anyone else, and he could have me all to himself. And then we broke up, and I met Kunio. I met a man who actually loved me and wanted me to be happy. In some ways, Kunio is my Pip.

Who's your favorite Least-favorite person?

My favorite person? Easily my boyfriend, Kunio. He puts on a tough front, but really he’s a sweetheart who cares deeply about me, and he makes sure I eat a home-cooked meal every single day. As for my least favorite person, I’d rather not talk about that. (It’s Theo)

Daimhín watched Oisìn fondly as he walked off. He saw Oisìn turn to look at the sea and get big eyed. He looked and said, “oy, for the love of the gods tell me that's na what I think it is.” Oisìn said, “unless I'm hallucinating there is another blasted kraken heading for us.” Amon said, "ay, that be a kraken but it was better than the shadow of death looming over us if we went the other way around.” Daimhín sighed, “Hill skirt the rocks. Everyone to their positions.” he rang the bell and yelled, “all hands to canon or deck.” This was the last place he wanted to encounter a kraken as the rocks would work against them in any effort to dodge the beast. He watched as everyone moved to follow his orders. He wasn't surprised when Oisìn went to one of the topside cannons they kept on deck. It was bolted down but portable. Amon cheerfully said, “at least it's not going to get and worse.” He watched as the waters started to churn more violently and turned to glare at the fae, “I told ye not to say that ev’r again.” Daimhín was exasperated with the situation already.

I have to admit, the most fun thing I’ve written has to be Night Of The Blue Moon. I’m having a lot of fun with the battle scenes, plus I’m getting to write everything I’ve ever wanted to write in a book. A literal sun/moon romance, canonically asexual characters, magical girls, Greek mythology, and a completely irredeemable villain whom no one in their right mind could possibly woobify/fetishise. I love writing completely evil villains, as anyone who’s read my work can tell lol ^^

The Tengu And The Angel was an emotional rollercoaster, and while I love it to pieces, I cried so much while writing it. Part of the reason why Kunio and Nathaniel’s romance is so sugary sweet is because I wanted it to balance out the extremely dark backstories of both MCs (Let’s not forget that the book deals with abandonment, alcoholism, child abuse and neglect, suicide attempts, emotional abuse, manipulation, and self-mutilation). I must have made my neighbors freak out with all of the time that I was either crying hysterically over the MCs’ trauma, or gushing over the sweetness of the romance…

Greed:

Orpheus. He is a billionaire who owns two of the UK’s leading entertainment companies, plus he uses his wealth to buy his and his family’s way out of trouble on the regular. He wants a complete monopoly over the country so that he can do whatever he wants without consequences.

Sloth:

Oh, Eurydice, 100%. She got pregnant, so Orpheus married her, and she hasn’t worked a day in her life since their son, Brooklyn was born, and she wastes all of her time spending her husband’s money on designer clothes and posting bad takes on X. She’s one of those celebrities who’s famous because they married rich, and not because they’re talented in any way.

Gluttony:

This was a difficult one, but if I had to pick one, it’d probably be Pamela (I’m not sure if that will be her final name, as she’s a very new OC, but I like the meaning so far and it seems to suit her). She’s a vampire doctor who steals blood packs from the hospital she works at to feed herself with. She refuses to bite humans to get her blood, as she doesn’t want to hurt anyone or turn them into a vampire without their consent.

Wrath:

Solana, 100% Solana. She is very quick to anger, and she likes making her enemies suffer, especially Orpheus. He deserves it for what he did to her, and for what his son did to her girlfriend, Ariel…

Envy:

Theo fits this to a T. He wants everything that Kunio has, but he’ll never get it, and let’s be honest, he doesn’t deserve it. People like Theo who expect everyone to allow them to treat them like shit without consequences don’t deserve friends or a partner.

Lust:

Brooklyn. He wouldn’t take ‘no’ for an answer and thought that he was entitled to the affections of every woman he ever wanted. He stalked, harassed and threatened women whenever they refused his advances, and if stalking and threats didn’t coerce them into letting him sleep with them, he straight up raped them.

Pride:

Kunio, honey, the call is coming from inside from the house on this one. He takes pride in everything he does, especially his art. He’s the kind of artist who’s so talented that he makes other artists feel worthless when they look at his art, and he owns it. If you compliment his art, he won’t shyly laugh it off, no, your compliment will go straight to his head because he knows that he deserves it ^^

Alright, here we go ✨

Greed:

Peter from Peter Hart would have to take this one. He’s a treasure pirate, and captain of the Golden Phoenix Gang. That title alone shows that Peter is a fan of materialistic wealth, and has amassed a fair amount of coin on all of his adventures. One of the themes in Peter Hart is “The Price of Greed,” which is to say he has to choose between a moral good and his own self-indulgence quite often.

Sloth:

Noah from YWIMC takes this one. He is holed up in his apartment when he’s not required to attend class, takes online courses when that option is given just to avoid going out in public, and hates going outside of his comfort zone.

Wrath:

Tyr from ITROG fits the bill the best. He is one spiteful, vengeful, and angry OC that constantly fights for his own survival, and his defiant and bull-headed attitude has gotten him into lots of trouble, with the biggest act of defiance serving as the catalyst for his forced adventure.

Gluttony:

Ali from YWIMC would fit this sin best. He is not only a glutton for knowledge, but is also incredibly self-indulgent once he is freed from the lamp. Taking life’s pleasures to the extreme, as well as his love of cooking, matches this sin very well.

Envy:

Gustav from ITROG would be the most envious OC. Constantly searching and competing with nature, he’s always felt like an outcast to other giants. He often finds himself wishing to fit in, and wishing to have that sense of family that he doesn’t have as a wandering lone wolf.

Lust:

Itazura from Tenshito would be lust on account of his occupation (porn star). Though he does wish to escape this job and become a chef, there’s no doubt that Ita has enjoyed the fortune that comes with this role, despite despising the fame. Being paid exorbitantly has had its merits, yet one of Ita’s struggles in the story is how much his current job is worth the risk.

Pride:

Benjamin from Peter Hart would match this sin the most. Being raised as a prince has given Benji a sense of ego, which thoroughly gets checked on several occasions. His sense of self-worth on the surface seems inflated, but deep down Benjamin struggles with his identity, and wishes to escape his duties in order to freely express himself.

You may have noticed that Tenshi from Tenshito is not on this list. The cinnamon roll angel is no sinner; he is a saint. 🙏🪽✨

AITA for living a double life?

My (25F) girlfriend (23F) is a really famous indie game developer. If I told you who she is, she’d get doxed, as she has millions of fans who always beg her for a face reveal, but she always refuses them. Anyway, because of this, she doesn’t tell anyone what she does for a living, and the only people who know are myself, her parents, and her best friend (Who I also can’t name, because he’s even more famous than she is). Ever since I started going out with her, my roommate Myrna has been a bit suspicious of her. She doesn’t approve of the fact that she won’t let me tell her anything about her, but my girlfriend for obvious reasons has to be very careful about her identity, and I’ve promised her that I won’t share anything that she tells me with anyone else. Myrna begrudgingly accepted this at first, but then things took a turn for the worse when Orpheus started with these magical terrorist attacks on our city (It’s a long story), and she noticed that I keep disappearing whenever he appears, and my girlfriend keeps having to delay her work or cancel her streams when he appears. The reason for that is that my girlfriend, on top of being a famous indie game developer, is also a magical girl destined to save the world from Orpheus, and I’m her sidekick, so whenever Orpheus appears, it’s up to us to stop him. Myrna is now starting to suspect that my girlfriend and I are the magical girls stopping Orpheus’ attacks, and she’s now angry with me because I’m leading a double life and she had no idea. She says that we’re best friends and that I should be able to tell her everything, and I agree, but I have to keep the fact that I’m a magical girl secret, and I have to protect my girlfriend’s identity. Our identities cannot become public knowledge, but Myrna says that I should be able to trust her enough not to share my secrets with anyone. AITA?

AITA for giving my roommate the cold shoulder after he dragged me to a party?

Hey, everyone! I had an argument with my roommate, and I’m trying to see whether or not I’m in the wrong here.

So for context, I (25M) am NOT a partygoer. I’m in grad school ffs, I have deadlines to meet and my thesis to do. I can’t waste time at college drinking my grades away. This behavior concerned my roommate (1000+M 28M), who is the direct opposite. He loves to chat, goes out to parties, and is generally a really cool guy to be around. He’s usually really nice and careful about my boundaries, but there have been a few things that annoyed me.

For starters, he sometimes comes into the bathroom while I’m showering despite me telling him to give me privacy. Recently he started sleeping in the same bed as me after his evening prayers. It was awkward at first, but these little things I could let slide…until last week.

So roommate (let’s call him A) approaches me while I’m finishing up one of my assignments. He’s all like, “Hey, OP. There’s a party tonight and I think you’ll really benefit.” Um hello?? I told him that he could go without me and that I was busy with my project. A huffs and stated that, “You’re always working on your computer. Relax a little, sadiq.” Again, I told him I was busy and that he could take my bag (He can’t go too far without it; it’s a weird thing that’s a little hard to explain) if he really wanted to go. A was adamant that the party wouldn’t be the same without me.

This is where I may be TA, but wasn’t sure: I told A that I didn’t want to be around a group of C averages pissing my college tuition away, and that if he wanted to associate with that crowd he could go right ahead. A finally leaves me alone and goes to the party, letting me finish up my paper.

But then, A came BACK to the apartment, grabbed me, and forced me to go to this frat house. (Thank God I finished my paper and hit save before he did this). It was loud, people were obnoxious, and I was tense the whole time. I ended up taking an Uber home early, and have been giving A the silent treatment since.

So, AITA for not wanting to go to a party with my roommate?

Update: A has since apologized and made me baklava, but I’m still pretty pissed.

Who is your most annoying Character to write and why?

Thanks for the ask! I think that the most annoying, as in the most challenging character for me to write is Orpheus. Writing out his dialogue can be a real chore; he is completely evil with zero redeeming qualities, but at the same time I don’t want him to sound cartoonishly evil. Striking the balance between realistic and completely irredeemable is difficult, but I do find it satisfying when I get it right. I challenged myself to write a completely, unsympathetic evil villain, and somehow I’m succeeding ^^

Weakness: Legs. Her fighting style requires a lot of movement, so if she becomes immobilised for any reason, she’ll be easier to defeat.

Idle animation: Standing in first position (Heels together, straight legged) with her torch held in front of her chest with her right hand and her left hand behind her back. If no input after five seconds, she’ll rise up en pointe and swing her torch, but no attack animation will play.

Solana/Red Sun:
