First time... (Sneak peek)
"Alright that's it for the night! Nice job Lewis" one if Lewis's fellow studio members compliments Lewis. "Thank you very much!" He yawns.. "Oh, I'm exhausted" he packs his stuff for the night and before he walks out the door and looks back at everyone and says "Goodnight everyone! Until next time!" Lewis walks out of the studio and gets into his car and enters his keys into the ignition as his engine revs up. He starts to drive to his home and walks inside, he is greeted by his roommate (y/n)!
Hey everyone. As you know I’m in the middle of writing my second book and to be honest when I loaded my file up I thought I wrote fellatio for a goddamn second.
I’m dying
Spike turned the carton of milk upside down but there was only a drop or two left in the container to drip into his coffee mug. He sighed. Who the fuck puts an empty carton back in the fridge?!
Undoubtedly someone as sleep deprived and absentminded as he himself was these days.
But it still pissed him off. Spike had never been a fan of 'cowboy coffee' because he couldn't stand how strong unadulterated coffee was. He was a simple man - he didn't ask for much, just a little splash of milk.
He took the mug and went to the living room, sitting heavily on the blessedly vacant couch. There were voices echoing from other parts of the ship but no one needed him and that was quite all right. Life had become busier and messier than he'd ever imagined it could and he practically lived for these quiet moments to himself.
Kicking his feet up, he stopped mid movement when he nearly knocked over an abandoned bowl of cereal.
He froze for a moment, hardly daring to believe his luck. Glancing left and right and then suspiciously over his shoulder, Spike finally decided that this wasn't a trap.
Grinning at his fortune, the lanky cowboy picked up the cereal bowl and poured into his coffee mug. A good portion splashed onto the coffee table but a bowl was a terrible vessel to accurately pour from and enough got in his mug - along with some cereal remnants - where he felt satisfied with his efforts.
Leaning back, he put his feet up on the table and used his toe to turn on the monitor. Cartoons came to life on the screen and he grinned about that too. There was nothing like watching some mindless media to truly disengage from the world.
He sipped at the coffee and sighed a blissful sigh this time.
Of course, his peace wasn't about to last longer than five minutes.
Footsteps approached, heralding Faye's arrival just before her soft scent reached his nose. She snuck up behind the couch and stretched a thin arm over his shoulder to grasp the mug in his hand. But Spike was not about to relinquish his drink and kept his grip firm - until Faye played dirty.
In an impressive show of one-armed strength and dexterity, she used the arm not warring with his hold on the coffee to jostle the baby from her hip, over the back of the couch, and onto Spike's lap. Of course he immediately let go of the coffee to catch the baby before she could tumble onto the floor. Cradling the infant - who seemed unperturbed by her change in surroundings - he twisted around to glare at Faye.
She smirked at him and went to take a victory sip of the coffee, then spluttered in surprise. "What the fuck?" She pulled a mushy piece of cereal out of her mouth and stared at in confusion for a moment before looking to the half-full cereal bowl sitting in a puddle of spilt milk.
Spike laughed at her revolted expression. The baby laughed as well, though she had no clue what was going on.
Faye took a deep breath. "Did you use your son's breakfast for your coffee?"
"Figured he was done with it. Didn't wanna let good milk go to waste."
She groaned. "Next time at least strain out the cereal part." She spat out a bit more mush. "Fucking gross,"
Spike watched her walk away with his coffee. "You've had worse in your mouth!" He called to her.
Faye flipped him the bird in response.
Grinning now at the baby, Spike settled back down on the couch with the infant on his lap. "There's a lot you'll need to learn, kiddo. But one of the most important things is... Don't waste food or drink. You'll hear a lot of talk about money. Fuck money. Food and drink, that's what's truly valuable in life."
The baby blinked at him and promptly spat up her own milky breakfast.
"Dammit, Faye! You could have at least burped her before dumping her on me!"
Her laughter reached him from the washroom where she'd wandered off to. "Aw, where's the fun in that?"

“My name is Lyfrassir Edda, I am the new Head Archivist of The Magnus Institute, London. Due to recent events I have acquired a job here. Before this I worked as an inspector, and perhaps that’s what got me hired. Either way my employer, one Ms. Carmilla, seems happy with my placement here, and who am I to complain about getting a paycheck. She has given me three assistants. Their names are Ivy Alexandria, Raphaella La Cognizi, and… Marius Von Raum… I will not say much about them, but I hope I will not be needing their assistance often.”

I'm finally getting back to these WIPs again. I have a lot of Fall-themed ones that have been sitting in my laptop since last year. Burn-out got me then but thankfully I've been managing better this season. So excited to be working on these again!

These guys are special to me, I've been working on this story for a WHILE, it's been a some years. The stories come together really well and I'd like to start putting it out there to gain more attention than within my friendgroup.

These first few sketches are concept pieces for practicing different shapes. I plan to make my OC story a comic, so of course posing and shape consistency is very key:]
They're not rlly specific characters, just good ol' practice.
Some form of disclaimer ig: the bits of worldbuilding of my story that I am introducing in this post may be similar to Warrior Cats in a way, I definitely take inspiration from WC with this all, but these are not WC OCs in any way.
The 4 "divided" groups call themselves Septs, each group is made of a different breed of an original species I made called "grimalkin" (feline esc animals but each breed has special physical characteristics)
The 4 subspecies of grimalkin who divide themselves are ryfons, koas, lampyridae, and kimaira ("kimair" is the non-plural). They all have different physical characteristics, such as ryfons possess feathery fur and tend to grow larger than the others ; koas have more of a squirrelly and round look to them ; kimaira possess venomous fangs (works similar to a snakes fangs, can sheathe and unsheathe) ; lampyridae are very fox-like in looks rather than feline-esc like the others are. Their Sept is also the only Sept with a monarchy ruling system. (More on the lampyridae Sept, the inner workings of their Sept is very key to the plotline of my story;)
Fun little note as well ~ lampyridae and kimaira have black eyes--or, fully one-colored eyes with no pupils/scleras; like how rodent eyes are:]

That's the most notes I will share of the worldbuilding. Now onto some character introductions:D
This rapscallion below is a ryfon by the name of Taika (he/him). He's the main antagonist of my story.
This lil guy is a koa by the name of Chiryo (he/him). He's close to the main character of my story and a major main side character throughout the story (will probably have an individual post for my MAIN guy. He's a doozie.)
This ball of chronic anxiety and heavy insecurity problems is Fawn (he/they ; prefers pronoun shifting)! They're a lampyridae, and of the royal bloodline in his Sept.
This ones a bit of a rushed sketch, but it's the only one I have of a kimair character. I kinda neglect them a lot lmao even tho I truly love em sm.
This is Goose (she/her), a kimair. She's the youngest of the main characters in my story and is very young throughout the main story so of course this is her as an adult lols. Big buff girlboss, I love her❤️
I have a LOT more characters than just these guys ofc, this is just an introduction post to get people connected to my OCs. I've been working a lot on these guys for a long while, and the stories coming together so nicely. It's gone through TONS of changes throughout it's lifetime, and I'm very content with where it is now. I hope to soon, in the soon far future at least, finally start putting this universe into production.
