“What are you a fucking gay?” The group laughed, while standing in front of Robin. She ignored them standing by the cinema, waiting for you. More insults soon following while they cornered her.
She didn’t want to make a scene, she didn’t even knew how they found out about her being a lesbian. She kept her distance and stayed silence. That’s how it goes, no one would defend the lesbian. That’s how the 80s were, the law was on their side.Therefore keeping your head down was all you could really do.
You however were having none of it. As you were driving on the parking lot you already were looking for her, but only saw some other teens standing near the wall. Getting out of you car you heard them talk rather loud. “You like girls huh? That’s disgusting, unnatural, you know that right?” Some slurs where thrown at the person they were talking to.
You got worried, normally Robin was the first of you to arrive. Walking over to the group you grew more worried every second.
There she stood, head hanging low, fists clenched. Your girlfriend was getting harassed by a bunch of nasty dudes.
Your brows furrowed, as a frown was building on your face, your jaw clenched and your mouth ran dry.
“Hello, Is there a problem?” You stayed friendly, apart from the irony that laid thickly on the words coming out of your mouth.
They turned around to you and while seeing their faces you remembered them from school. “Guys look it’s sweet Y/n, you remember the algebra course we had together?” You stared him down, unamused by the reunion. He noticed the tension coming of you and covered it with a laugh “That’s Robin Buckley. She went to school with us too, but don’t go near her. She’s one of those weird people that..” before he could finish your fist landed on his nose as he stared at you in utter shock. “Yes you douchebag, I am well aware of the fact that my girlfriend gets more girls than you do. Now take her name out of you dirty mouth you pice of shit.”
The look on his face was iconic, but you just grabbed Robins hand and walked back to your car. “Assholes! If they bother you gain tell me.” She looked at you with a mix of adoration and worry. “Where did you learn to throw punches like that?” She questioned while you laughed “I hold more secrets than you may think darling.” You smiled at her, “let’s go to my place and order some pizza.” You suggested to which she responded with a nod. “Sounds perfect my strong, amazing girlfriend.” She kisses your cheek, as you started the engine of your car.
