And intense, burning male villains that would do absolutely anything out of love Give me female Light Yagami and male Misa Amane. Give us back the original Irene Adler and how she was the cold, calculated genius who won over Sherlock Holmes -and how it was never about love. Give us a man ready to do anything to serve, help, avenge, follow the woman he loves, even if she doesn't want him to. And please, please, give us other kinds of love -a parent becoming a monster to protect their child, a brother with a possessive/protective attachment to their sibling, a friend that takes loyalty to a horrifying point, a child growing into something horrible in hopes to be fed scraps of a parent's love and affection. Please.

my favorite thing about death note will always be the fact that they didn't give light a tragic backstory to justify his actions, he was simply an entitled little bitch with a fucked up concept of what's morally right or wrong

Any other Death Note fans wonder if Kira made things worse for victims of abuse? Like, it's hard enough for people to ask for help in those situations but the added fear that asking for help could result in someone's death probably made it impossible for many people.
Light never really thinks about the negative ways Kira could affect the public or maybe he just doesn't care about people getting hurt as long as he doesn't have to see it.

i am not a Light apologist. Yes, I do like him but he is definitely one of the dumbest fucking characters in the series. All he had to do was turn off the god damn tv with the fake L and BAM we would’ve won. I rest my case.
