No screw this why do poc women have to live on the white main character’s scraps , why does Santana getting solos have to mean less solos for Mercedes , literally every scene that would flesh her as a character more were cut so Rachel could do some boring screechy number, her duets and storylines with Mercedes were abandoned in favour of Pezberry, what even was that. Why did a perfectly iconic and talented character like Tina have to be shat on every two seconds for no real reason, whereas Rachel hears the truth for a second she’s a victim of bullying it’s her against the world, she’ll rise above and succeed but for others all this unnecessary bullying is just ,,a fact of life? Don’t blame a cast member for being talented, blame the writers for not knowing how to do their jobs
people don't really acknowledge it, because Rachel is the more obvious culprit, but Santana becoming a main character absolutely had a big part in Mercedes not getting the amount of solos that she used to. by season three, Santana ended up taking solos that Mercedes would've probably had, had Santana remained a background character.
I’m probably the only one who thinks this but Blaine Anderson despite being a was a terrible person was a well written character.
Santana Lopez did not deserve to have three seasons worth of character development thrown away so the writers could create drama for their boring ass protagonist / insult cast members they hated.
do gleeks not know all the gay and poc characters were there simply to give rachel makeovers, offer contructive criticism , undying support and oppose her for the sake of drama to keep her life interesting? how dare they demand better treatment for their faves.
