Yeah sleep would be nice but I can't when my brain keeps playing over and over " hell no I could kill you where you stand " and do you see it? Do you see how Ody has been through so much and he's so exhausted that upon meeting this random delusional woman who stands in his way his first response is murder? and then Polities starts singing Open Arms like in the Underworld Saga, then Anticlea, and then Eurylocus which made me cry. But the whole point was that Calypso said something that reminded Ody of everyone he lost...that made me cry today.

Morning after listening to the Wisdom Saga and I went back to WotM where Ody sings “ATHENA, BADASS IN THE ARENA” and couldn’t get the heavy emotional part of Love in Paradise where he screams her name again out of my head so now I can’t stop thinking about like

*Heavy emotional moment, somber music, the echoing words of all who have fallen surround Odysseus atop the cliff as he screams out.*

“ATHENA!!!”

*music stops. A sniffle.*

“Badass in the arena… 😔”

“Unmatched witty and queen of the best strategies we’ve seen… 😞”

I think it’s worth pointing out too that at this point, he stops saying words. He is in so much pain and agony remembering his fallen friends, that he can’t even verbalize to Calypso what’s going on in his head. He just yells. No details, no point to be made. Just pure agony, and I think that’s such a heartbreaking and powerful choice that was made.

no you don't understand all he heard were screams until calypso mentioned polites' phrase and then all he hears is how much longer till your luck runs out and this life is amazing when you greet it with open arms and all he heard were the screams until he thinks of his best friends and now all he can hear are their songs as they tried to guide him away from tragedy in the only ways they knew and it almost hurts worse than the screams because all that blood was on his hands but those two were his friends and they tried and he tried and it wasn't enough because his luck finally ran out-

Progress on my "Love in Paradise" Animatic Still feels rough and needs more touch ups before i begin sketching the second half of it, but it's coming along!!! for a first animatic, this is coming along alright :3 Hope you guys enjoy it and look forward to the full thing! I'm really trying to make every scene it's own standalone painting in terms of composition and how well it looks. like if you paused at any part of it, it'd be wallpaper worthy
