Major Character Death - Tumblr Posts
death doesn’t discriminate (it takes and it takes and it takes)
Camelot is silent for the first time in nearly 10 years.
ao3 | ffn
The thing that was so unsettling about the entire ordeal was that he didn’t beg or plead or scream. He just whispered a small “I’m sorry” and hung his head, so unlike his normal, unending chatter. After that, silence.
Merlin was silent. Arthur wasn’t. He raged and screamed and cried for hours.
He was silent when he was being led to the dungeons. Gwaine wasn’t. He screamed at the guards, at Arthur, to let his best mate go. It was only a look from Merlin that silenced him.
He was silent when he was thrown in (and for the two days he was kept there). Gaius wasn’t. He visited every day, begging his son to look at him, to do something.
He was silent when they led him to the pyre and tied him to it. Gwen wasn’t. She sobbed and heaved beside Leon, unable to stand beside her husband for this.
He was silent when Arthur dropped his hand. Leon wasn’t. He choked out a scream when he thought of the young boy who had come to Camelot near a decade ago, the young man who was being killed in front of him.
He was silent when the flames licked his feet (and when they curled around his head too). Percival wasn’t. The soft-spoken man let out a roar, dropped to his knees and cried for the man Lancelot spoke so highly of.
He was silent when Arthur dropped to his knees in anguish two weeks later when George knocked before entering his chambers. Kilgarrah wasn’t. He razed forests in his grief, trees a-flame days after.
He was silent when Mordred joined Morgana in his righteous anger at Arthur on behalf of Emyrs. Morgana wasn’t. She laughed, cackled, when Mordred told her everything he knew (she would never admit it, but late at night, she sobbed into her knees for her once friend.)
Merlin was silent. No longer did his natter fill the silence between the knights. Instead the silence forced them apart, painful memories making it difficult to look the others in eye. Gaius’ chambers filled with a silence that hadn’t been known since before its youngest resident arrived. Silence filled the space between Arthur and Gwen, eventually driving them to separate chambers. Morgana’s hovel filled with a silence unlike before. The silence that invaded Camelot, all of Albion, acknowledged that something in the world wasn’t quite right.
And that it never would be again.

The besieged castle cracked open like an egg, spilling its yoke. Atlas soldiers fought valiantly. Many fight in Shiro’s name even now, but the empire has far more men. There are swarms of them, brutal and relentless. A king should be there to lead them, to make a stand with his people though it be their last. Yet he stands frozen at the window, tear tracks on his face and a crumpled missive from the front dangling from his natural hand. It would only take a breath to dislodge it. To dislodge him.
King Shiro gives up fighting when he learns his knight, his beloved, has fallen.

Izuku already lost it all. He lost Kacchan, and something like that never really heals. He could not lose Shouto, too. Thankfully, Shouto isn’t dead, not completely. He's some kind of a ghost, looking down on his body that still clings to life, while his soul clings to Izuku. And he isn't the only one hanging on. Turns out, Katsuki is still here, too.
How ghost!Katsuki helps kick Shouto back to the world of the living so that Izuku won't have to grieve another dead boyfriend. At least, he insists that's the reason.
Hell, maybe he can even be a hero one last time.

Winter for a Pine Tree
Disclaimer: Hey this gets dark real fast (0 to 60) and was written primarily to “Balance out the forces of the universe” After a friend of mine took a join project I’d been involved in and taken it off the rails into Wendip Territory (The stories ended up splitting into 2 stories written by two authors each instead of 1 story by 4). Anyways to balance out the force of the universe (and yes, I’m looking at you Graviti and Futur) I wrote this.
It gets dark so I tagged it as Depravity Falls, and spoiler alert, it involves death. So you’ve been forewarned.
It had been three days since Dipper had last seen anyone in his family. The thought was still fresh in his mind as he hollered into his walkie talkie hoping for Mabel to respond. It had also been three days since he’d last eaten as his stomach was reminding him. And well somewhere nearby he could hear some of Bill’s monsters roaming around, possibly planning on eating him. Unfortunately for Dipper, he quickly recognized the creatures coming up behind him as eyebats. With them coming from behind him, his only option was to exit the alley he’d been hiding in and hope that there was a shelter he could hide in elsewhere.
Dipper made a break for it, and saw on the other side of the street the Gravity Falls mall, which fortunately was an indoor mall, so that’d likely slow down the eyebats. After a quick dash across the street, and having to ignore a very annoying monster, Dipper made it inside the mall without being eaten or turned to stone. The mall looked terrible, there was a huge hole in the skylight, the whole place had graffiti everywhere, and the carts, tables, and chairs were all over the place. Everything looked so ruined and abandoned. Except for a single table with a plate of nachos sitting on it under a working light.
Oh thank god Dipper thought, it felt like weeks since he’d last eaten, even if it’d only been a few days. Dipper forgot about almost everything as he ran towards those nachos in complete bliss over being able to eat again. He ran over and grabbed the nachos off the table. Then he noticed the wire that got pulled with the nachos. He didn’t even have to time to scream before he saw the shotgun fire.
The gun had been aimed to hit an adult in the lower crotch to upper leg area. Wendy had figured when she set it up it’d stop just about any attempted bandit or thug from getting to her, and teach them a good lesson too, hopefully without killing the target either. However Dipper was decidedly not the height of the average adult and had instead been shot right in the chest. He screamed out in pain as the power of the blast knocked him of his feet to the floor. He knew right away that regardless of what happened next, he couldn’t survive this. Even before weirdmaggedon his injury was enough to be fatal.
He heard footsteps run into the room and saw none other than Wendy run into the room. Dipper’s head was still ringing from the blast, and he couldn’t clearly hear what she was saying as she entered. She seemed to look pissed, was probably screaming, and had a crossbow drawn in her hand. He then saw as her anger quickly turned to confusion and then horror upon seeing him lying there. Wendy ran over to him obviously upset over something, but Dipper couldn’t make out the words. She was sobbing as she picked him up. The whole world was beginning to get fuzzy, and the pain was beginning to lessen. Dipper was beginning to feel really warm. Really warm and comfortable. Before he lost consciousness, he heard what Wendy was saying to him “I’m sorry Dipper. I’m so sorry.”
Dipper lay there and his last thoughts churned away at those words. He couldn’t make sense of what they meant. What was she sorry for? He really couldn’t remember anymore. His eyes felt heavy but he never built up the strength to close them. Wendy watched as the last signs of life left Dipper’s eyes.
7 Mistakes
Prompt: well this was a story i wrote for english class that people wanted me to post so here is my teachers prompt: imagine you find a page torn from a short story that has only two lines, “that’s how i became known as ‘captain.’ the end.”
pairing: it’s up to interpretation. i didn’t define the gender of the narrator, nor if the “ily” was platonic or romantic
tw: major character death, thunderstorms, lmk if there are any other warnings
—————————————————
We decided to go out on a stormy night. That was my first mistake. He loved the rain, especially in the evening. We did not know it was going to turn into a thunderstorm with choppy water. The evening started out perfectly. He invited me over for dinner, his famous and my favorite fish tacos. When I arrived I noticed the pinks and oranges of the setting sun with gray clouds in the distance. I could not tell if they were really dark or if it was just night settling in. That was my second mistake. As we ate, it started sprinkling and I could see the light in his eyes when he looked at me. I knew where this was going, so I agreed. That was my third mistake.
I helped him clean up and get the boat ready. He just wanted to take the vessel out of the bay to lay on the deck as the rain poured down on our faces. We did this often when we were younger. We would stay out all night, getting him in trouble with his mother, but my parents would never care. He loved his boat and his crew who went fishing with us during the daytime. He told me it was “our” boat and “our” crew, but I always responded that it was him who did all the hard work, even if it was a team effort. I untied the boat from the dock as he situated the blankets on the deck. The rope stuck, like it did not want us, nor the boat, to leave. I should have listened to the warning. That was my fourth mistake.
It started thundering as we left the bay. Thunder was not unusual during a rainstorm, but this time it was loud and all encompassing. It sounded like it came from every direction and shook us to the core. We shared a look, but he decided to stay out on the water claiming it was fine. I should not have listened to him. That was my fifth mistake. The water stayed calm, even after the thunder and the rain picked up. We laid down on the blankets, which quickly soaked through like we were, staring up at the sky. That was when we saw the lightning. He looked over at me, fear in his eyes. I was swift to promise him everything was going to be fine. Promised that we would arrive back safely. That was my sixth mistake.
We hurriedly stood and started sailing back. The waters turned choppy, and looking at him, I saw the same panicked expression. The bay was so close, yet so far away. Buckets of rain poured down, lightning came more frequently, the wind was howling, and our hearts raced. I repeated the mantra of, “Everything is okay. We are going to be fine. We will be safe.” The water was ferocious, almost capsizing the boat multiple times. He was holding onto me when the boat was hit by a large wave causing him to fall over the side. His hold on my wet hand was slipping as another wave rocked the boat. I saw the terror in his blue eyes as I promised I would not let go. His hand slid out of mine as he yelled “I love you” over the howling wind. I did not have a chance to say it back before I saw his head go under. That was my seventh mistake.
I managed to pull the boat into the bay, where the waters were calmer. I sat there crying until sunrise, when the storm calmed. I sailed back to the dock and tied the boat up. One of his - our - no, my, crew members was at the dock. He told me he saw the storm and noticed our - no, my, boat was gone. When the storm cleared, he went to the dock to wait for our return. Then, he asked me where the other half of our pair was. I looked at him with sad eyes and he understood. He gathered the rest of the crew, bringing them back to the dock. I could only gather myself up enough to give them minimal details. Telling me how brave I was, they gave me their sympathy. That’s how I became known as ‘captain.’ The End.

Some added changes to my Purpose! AU which featured brief DOA! Chuuya then moves on to ADA! Chuuya (bro is moving around organizations like PARKOUR!!)
So how Chuuya gets affiliated with the DOA-
I don't have all the details yet and I prefer to keep them more vague in the au since I genuinely have no idea which direction this story will go and I'd like to keep my options open-
But in some way either:
Fyodor kills Dazai
OR
the Port Mafia has some part in dazai's death (chuuya is not involved) like they refuse to aid the ada or just outright have the chance to save him but don't
(Likely due to something said in the earlier seasons where mori was scared dazai would kill him to assume his position as Port mafia boss)
If fyodor were to kill Dazai, it would take place a little after he takes over Bram's body, and to keep it EXTRA juicy Dazai is killed by falling off a roof, and somehow Chuuya isn't able to use his ability to save him. The one time this godforsaken ability would have helped him, it only aided in the loss of someone important yet again.
Fyodor gets Chuuya to join by saying that a world without his ability would free him from the burden of it, as well as proving that he and arahabaki are separate entities, meaning he is in fact human.
He also ties in how having this ability only brought him to the loss of all the important people in his life, and the loss of Dazai is kind of like the last straw
If the Port Mafia were to have a part in Dazai's death, chuuya would realize that his loyalty to Dazai is greater than his loyalty to the Port Mafia and leave of his own volition, no emotional Manipulation necessary. Joining the Decay of Angels would mean that his ability, as well as the abilities that in his eyes only bring more problems into this world, will one day disappear, and maybe he can finally live the normal, human life he earned.
Either way, it ends with a not-fully-healed-but-on-his-way-there chuuya joining the ADA in Dazai's place. He starts to resemble Dazai more, like with a slightly calmer, looser, free-er demeanor and even donning his tan trench coat. In this au, dazai and the others chuuya lost are to chuuya the way odasaku and ango are to canon dazai--they are the stepping stones that lead him to the light, the reason he joins the side that saves people.
I'm planning on drawing some of this au but on my art account, @god-shit-girl-art , so if you wanna see these ideas in picture form, you can follow me there!! I also wanna get some feedback on this au especially how you guys would prefer the way dazai dies, either by fyodor or by the PM. I haven't really decided yet and I'm not exactly sure what would be more in character for chuuya's writing. I may start a poll too
WHY. DO. I. NEVER. READ. TAGS!?!?!?!?!?!
I DON'T WANT TO KEEP READING THIS BCS I'LL CRY MY EYES OUT BUT I CAN'T JUST NOT READ IT WTF DO I DO?!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

It was an ordinary patrol. That’s all it was supposed to be. Nothing else was meant to happen.

Tw: Self hate
Diana Wrayburn was left in charge of the Los Angeles Institute for the weekend. The Institute’s normal heads, Helen and Aline Penhallow-Blackthorn, had gone on a short trip with the Consul and his husband. The majority of Helen’s younger siblings were also away from the Institute. Mark away in Faerie with Cristina Rosales and Kieran Kingson. Drusilla in Idris studying at the Shadowhunter Academy. And Tiberius, far away in the Carpathians, at the Scholomance. Julian and Octavian were still in L.A. Tavvy, still being under the age required to patrol, remained at the Institute with Diana while Julian and his former parabatai, now girlfriend, Emma Carstairs were on patrol duty for the night.
It was a normal night. Patrol nights had been slow recently, so the two were perfectly fine with going by themselves. Also, they were Emma Carstairs and Julian Blackthorn. The two were basically legends at this point. They had been transformed into True Nephilim not even two years ago and lived through it. The two were the dream team. They were damn near unbeatable. That’s what everyone believed, at least.
“Think it’ll be a slow night, Em?” Julian asked. The two had just begun their drive into the city, Julian watching the road and Emma the sensor. They did not expect to see anything out of the ordinary. Because shifts normally alternated, Diana had briefed them on Mark and Cristina’s patrol from last night. No irregular activity had been noticed.
“If it’s slow we can always drive down to the beach,” Emma answered. “We’ll have time.” And just as expected, they did just that. After about an hour and a half of no problems or run-ins with a demon, the pair decided to take their patrol to a place with a better view of the sunset.
“Should we text Diana to get the “Okay?” Julian inquired, knowing that Emma had no intention of playing it safe.
“Jules we are adults,” Emma replied. “Plus it’s a slow night, I doubt she’ll even care. I’ll bring the sensor and my phone, just in case.” Emma was aware that anything could happen, they were Shadowhunters, she needed to be prepared for anything.
What they weren’t prepared for though, was a nest filled to the brim with Scorpio demons. They walked down the beach, hand in hand, weapons ready, if necessary. However, as the made their way further down the beach, Emma noticed that the sensor in her pocket was becoming warm.
“Jules,” She said. “Be on guard, the sensor is heating up.” He looked at her and nodded, now being made aware of a potential threat, his attitude was immediately shifted.
“How close?” He asked.
“Not sure.”
“Emma! Watch out!” Julian yelled. It was only at this moment that he had become aware of the presence of a looming Scorpio demon. Julian, drawing a seraph blade and calling out “Gabriel!” with great force as he prepared to face off the demon. Emma, drawing Cortana, silently moved to flank him. The demon, yellow eyes narrowed to slits hissed, revealing its needle-like teeth. This was the moment the battle calm descended in one swift motion. The rest of the world fell away, becoming distant and insignificant in the face of this hulking, bestial threat.
The demon was the first to lunge, moving as quickly as a blur, barbed tail whipping and spearing towards Emma. She barely managed to dodge, avoiding the needle-like tail. Julian darted forward, then, using the seraph blade to cut deep into the demon’s side, causing a spray of ichor that spattered over Julian. Contact with the liquid made his skin burn. The demon hissed louder, lunging backward before moving with lightning quickness towards Emma. But this time, she was ready, dodging the moving demon and sinking Cortana deep into the demon’s side, killing it in a single fatal stroke. The demon sunk to the ground, disintegrating into nothing.
Julian exhaled deeply, waiting as the rest of the world came into focus again. Turning towards Emma, Julian’s euphoric feeling of victory faded unbelievably quickly. Emma had sunk to the ground and was clutching her side tightly, her face contorted in pain. Julian dropped the seraph blade to the ground with a clatter, rushing to her side. “Emma!” he shouted. Bending over her, he inhaled sharply at the sight of the vicious stab one penetrating Emma’s side.
“It stabbed me right before I killed it… I didn’t realize it until it was gone.” Emma whispered her face was drawn and pale, the mere act of talking seeming to drain everything from her.
“Hey hey hey Em stay with me. Stay with me, you’re not dying here.” Julian whipped out a stele, drawing an iratze on her as quickly as possible. The rune faded into her skin, and both anxiously waited for the injury to vanish or at least get milder in some way. When the wound continued to bleed and Emma doubled over wincing, it was clear the rune hadn’t worked. What’s going on? This isn’t normal. Julian’s mind was racing, panic beginning to take over.
Emma was fading fast; it was clear, the poison that had been in the demon’s tail consuming her from the inside out. It feels like fire in my veins. she thought as she faded in and out from consciousness. “Julian, what’s going on?” She managed to say before passing out again.
“No no no no no no Emma hold on please hold on. Don’t leave me now.” Julian begged, tears streaming down his face. Helplessness nearly crippled him at that moment, drowning him in a wave of infinite blue-black darkness. “Help! Somebody, please! Help me!” Julian shouted. Yelling to the angel, praying that he was being heard, but knowing even as he spoke that it was hopeless. They were alone, and beyond help at this point. Emma was convulsing at this point, violently shaking and shivering. Julian frantically drew more iratzes on her, dozens more, hand flying in desperate gestures. But as each one faded, his remaining slivers of hope faded, leaving him cold and empty.
“Jules,” Emma whispered faintly in a raspy whisper. “I love you.”
“Oh, my Emma. I love you too.” Their eyes met in that moment, and only a few moments passed before Julian was forced to witness the life vanish from behind her eyes. Her soul, her spirit, her life, everything that made Emma Emma quietly vanished, leaving behind nothing but an empty shell. At that moment, Julian’s heart splintered into pieces and he sobbed. Gripping Emma tightly, Julian sobbed as his very being broke to pieces with grief and sadness and regret and every other possible feeling.
Have you ever seen the light leave someone’s eyes? Julian had seen it happen more times than he’d care to remember. The moment when you look into a person’s eyes and you know their heart has stopped beating. He had watched some of his closest relatives pass before his eyes. He had looked his father in the eyes as his soul left his corrupted body. He had watched his precious sister’s life be taken away far too soon.
But this? This was infinitely worse. The knowledge that not only was she dead, he had done nothing but sit and watch. All of his efforts seemed so pointless now, insignificant. His Emma’s last words echoing in his mind. Jules. I love you. And he loved her. So much, more than anything he could possibly dream of. For years, she was what kept him grounded. She was what his life was centered around. She had gone from being his first love to being his forbidden love. But that never stopped either of them. Julian had lived silently in love with her for years until their curse was broken. Then, finally, he went back to being his Emma. He would have done everything for her. But now, everything wasn’t enough.
I should have done something else, something more. I could have saved her. If I could have done something better, she would still be here. Julian sobbed to himself, folding inwards under the weight of crushing guilt and grief. Why am I so helpless? Why didn’t I do something, anything else? Em, I am so sorry. I will be sorry until the day I die, and it will never be enough. Because I couldn’t save you, or anybody else.
Tw/Cw: Major character death (its 3rd life and a canonical death so its expected) ; drowning (not really drowning but its kinda detailed so just in case)
It's night, hours after the desert battle, hours after Scott saw the death message knowing he wasn't able to be with his husband on his death.
The blood still on his clothes, all the dirt, sand and sweat of the battle still there. He wasn't able to do anything besides building the grave and burying the things that were from Jimmy he couldn't even bury his own husband, the body turned into xp minutes after Scott got there. The stupid captain america costume, the armor and the poppy, the stupid poppy that started it all.
He sat in that mountain for hours, looking and crying over the grave, he heard steps coming towards him. He didnt knew who it was, he didnt care, if it was dogwarts then fuck them what could he do to grieve in peace?
The steps grew louder, stopping right next to him, the black shoes followed by the white tunic answered to him. Joel, the man who burned his their walls, who wasn't there to fight in the conflict he had created.
He was silent, as far as Scott could see, he was looking down, staring at the grave. The only sound was the animals around and the wind. Without looking at him Scott asked, his voice low and heavy, affected by the time he spent crying and screaming.
'Tell me, do you know how it is to have your partner dying and not being able to do anything? To have to watch them disappear right in front of you?' He didn't expected a answer, he didn't even knew why Joel was there, but he didn't had much time to talk about it, he didn't want to talk about it, Grian told him it was ok, that he didn't mind if Scott wanted to talk about it with him or cry on him again. But he didn't, he didn't want to talk or think about it, he didn't want to think of how this place would be so much more silent and would look way more dead, he was fine.
'Yes' - Scott broke out of his head by Joel's words - 'I do yeah, it's not very good is it?' For the first time he looked up, the other man had a sad and bitter smile on his face. It was weird seeing Joel without the chaotic grin on his face, without the fire reflecting on his red eyes, who, Scott noticed, were more grey than ever, like the fire had died.
'What happened?' He asked, curious but also letting Joel know he didn't needed to talk about it, he could have conflict opinions about the red player next to him but he wouldn't force to him about his partner.
'We were running, something, some kinda of creature, was attacking us from the water. We didn't know what it was, but it was trying to get us. She told me to run, she was always a better swimmer than me, the water was always her element. But I couldn't leave her, you know? We both knew that she wouldn't come back, and for me it would always be her over me, at any time, any circumstance. And- and she looked at me' - and he could see how Joel was lost in memories, hoe the look in his eyes was soft, it reminded Scott of himself whenever he looked at Jimmy - 'and she smiled, and god- I don't know how someone could look so beautiful in the middle of swamp water, covered in dirt and in such a messy appearance. But she looked so beautiful and I knew, I knew I couldn't convince her otherwise but even before i tried, just- the second i opened my mouth to try and make her run. It got her, I saw her being pushed underwater, I saw the second her eyes got filled with fear, her hand reaching out to me. And I couldn't do anything, I stayed there and I screamed her name, I wasn't able to swim. I knew if I did that I would die, either to the creature, or I would drown, and- and then if I did that her sacrifice would be for nothing. So I ran away' -he saw how he closed his eyes, took a deep breath and opened them again, Scott wanted to tell him that he could stop if he wanted, that he didn't need to keep going, but he knew Joel needed this- 'I ran away and I got back to our home. I built her a grave. I never knew what happened, I still don't know what happened to her. But- but I just like to think that whatever happened, whenever she is, that shes happy. I put her favorite things there, her flowers, some photos of her favorite buildings. And our ring, I was keeping it, I would ask her that week- I never did, but i like to believe she would've said yes'.
'What- what did you do after that?' Joel smiled, and Scott saw the red player he learned to fear, the fire came back to his eyes at least for a bit.
'I hunted that thing down, I did everything I could, enchanted and got every piece equipment that would give me an advantage on the water. And when I found it? I killed it, I make it suffer for whatever it did to her'.
'Do you believe she is still alive?' And just like it appeared, the fire was over, his eyes got back to the dark red, and he sighed.
'If I'm being honest Scott? No I- I don't think she is, but I don't want to think about this. I also don't want to spend my entire life hoping she's alive too, just to be crushed in the end. So it's as I said, I like to think she's happy, doing her favorite things. And that maybe, maybe one day we'll find each other again'.
Scott stopped, he looked at the grave again, staring at the 'Beloved husband' words, in a shaky calligraphy.
'Did it make you feel better?' he felt Joel looking at him again, he looked up, serious, hands holding the grass aggressively, angrily. 'Killing the creature. Did it make you feel better'.
And he saw the second Joel understood, how he relaxed, how he looked at Scott with a sad smile.
'Yes. Not for long, but on the second? On the minute I did it? I felt like the most powerful person, I killed the thing that haunted my nightmares every night since that day, I avenged her. And after that i felt empty, because she wasn't back, i wouldn't say it was for nothing, but i wouldn't say it was worth every day and night that i spend looking for it'.
'I wont say that killing the red army will make you feel better, that killing Skizz will make everything alright because it wont. Jimmy will not come back Scott' - he looked at the grave again- 'No matter what you do, he will never come back. But I can promise you that for a second, for at least a minute, you will feel relieved. You will feel happy'.
And he didn't even need to think about it twice, or for more than one second. Just the memories of earlier that day, how he wasn't there, how he wasn't even able to help Jimmy when he died. He wants to kill Skizz, he wants to make the red army feel as destroyed as he felt. He wants to make them feel defeated. He's not a red life, he doesn't have the bloodlust the red lives have, but Scott can feel the rage, the anger, and he only wants one thing: revenge. Jimmy was the one who kept him calm, who would make him focus on other things, and now he's gone, forever, and they will pay. Scott will make sure of it.
He looks up to Joel, the yellow rods around his head shining, his eyes carrying the fury of a grieving husband.
'Are you on our side then?' and Joel smiled, blood red eyes lighting with a sparkle, the dangerous smile getting bigger again. He put a hand on his shoulder
'Down with the king, Scott'
Down with the king
Happy mermay y'all!
Here's a little chum y'all, take it. These characters may pop up after Mermay but they're little goobers with very little backstory right now. Whumpee is a pilot fish merthing btw pilot fish are my favorite fish
Korryne
---
It put its eerily human-like hand against the glass while it beat the glass with its black and white tail. The small humanoid had been found beside a far larger shark humanoid, and it kept trying to get to the shark. It also had a tendency to bump against the glass while swimming around, seemingly indicating behaviors it exhibited with the shark.
Korryne groaned, and a tiny shock in the fish's water drove it away from the glass and made it scream while it spun in circles and tried to hide in the too-small decor in its tank. No one had expected it to grow so big in such a short span of time.
Eventually, the aquarium opened, and a group of school children watched it being fed. It had been taught to keep its head below the water, and ignored that teaching, and approached the children. Korryne had to go up there to make sure it didn’t do anything drastic, and it went back underwater at the sight of her.
It didn’t even bother to take the rest of the fish with it, it stayed low to the ground until Korryne had left.
Korryne needed to examine this further.
Arroyo
—
Leech. That was what they were called by the horrible people. They stared at the human that often watched them, wanting to go to Rilla.
Arroyo beat their tail against the clear wall and called for Rilla. Rilla was going in circles, and Arroyo wished they weren’t the only two in their tiny group. Arroyo slammed their shoulder into the clear wall and the human had the sharp pain go through the water. They swam back to their little area, and realized they were bleeding in the tail when it cut against the weirdly sharp rocks.
They swam around, a trail of blood in the water, and Rilla opened her mouth when she saw it.
Arroyo heard someone get in and saw one of the humans with the breathing mask strapped to their face, and the human had a net. Arroyo tried to swim away, screaming and begging, and the human didn’t understand.
Arroyo understood very little of the human tongue, mostly just the words ‘stop, still, and interesting’.
“Stay still,” the human ordered. Arroyo obeyed and took a deep breath as they were lifted into the air in the too small net. It took three people to carry them, and people weren’t even the size of normal sharks. Sharks were somewhat the same size as Arroyo, about an eighth of Rilla’s size, far smaller than Arroyo’s friend, who was part squid and lived close to the bottom of the ocean.
Arroyo could breathe air, though they hated the taste of it on their tongue, so they often chose not to. The humans eventually lowered them into a crate that was barely able to fit them, and they had to avoid panicking so the water wouldn’t go stale and render them unable to breathe.
They set Arroyo in the white room tanks, where they were closer to the circling Rilla, and Arroyo put their hand on the clear wall and knocked until Rilla noticed them.
Someone let Arroyo into Rilla’s tank after bandaging their tail, and Arroyo swam into it and plucked off the tiny things on Rilla’s skin. Rilla looked at Arroyo with glad eyes and directed them to the places where large numbers of infection was.
Rilla twitched her tail to the side, saying, “Are you alright?”
“Yes,” Arroyo replied, and hugged Rilla, barely able to contain their excitement. Rilla didn’t approve of emotional outbursts unless they were trying to mate, which didn’t work very well out of your own group of merfolk, and it was a banishable offense among the merfolk.
Mating season was soon… Arroyo hoped they’d let the pair in the same tanks for that time.
One of the humans motioned for Arroyo to return, and Arroyo’s dorsal fins flared in anger as they bared their sharp fangs and Rilla swam at the human, then slammed head first into the clear wall.
Rilla swam back, grabbed Arroyo in her mouth, and leaped out of the tank. They rolled for a moment, and Rilla stood up. Arroyo wasn’t sharkfolk, couldn’t stand, only a select few merfolk could.
Rilla took Arroyo in her arms and started running, while Arroyo slowly lost water on their scales. A sound went through the air, and Rilla’s movements slowed. Then she fell, and dropped Arroyo. Arroyo rolled again and someone lifted them, then put them back in the lab tanks, and Rilla across from them, still in her human form, wrists up in the air and legs spread wide. Rilla opened her eyes, then stopped moving, and her rock-black eyes went dim as she drifted to the surface. Arroyo screamed for her, and one of the workers opened the cage and she was dead. Didn’t blink, didn’t breathe.
Arroyo shrieked and pounded on the clear wall and screamed for Rilla, and the human that normally watched Arroyo threw Rilla in. Arroyo held her corpse close and wished they had seaweed to wrap their body in, but this would have to do.
They hugged Rilla and let her drift away while giving her eulogy. They wished they were in the open ocean for this, but impossible.
They eventually took her from Arroyo, and they sank to the bottom of the cage and didn’t move as they watched them examine her corpse. Then they took her skeleton and her fins and put Arroyo in her old cage, where they could fit between the hard rocks. They sank to the bottom, no longer moving, and the human smiled sadistically.

First thing you see after you zoom in is how you die
How you dying 👀
oh i don't think i've told you guys about the time loop fic i've been cooking up :)
tw blood and mcd (temporary but mac doesn't know that ;) yet )
Mac’s hands are red with blood. It’s everywhere and there is so much of it. It pools around him, the puddle growing, spreading. He can’t staunch the flow from where it stems. A tiny little hole aimed for the heart. A heart that stopped beating moments ago.
The blood no longer comes in spurts to match the frantic rhythm of a racing heartbeat. It just drains out of the body in front of Mac.
Jack’s body, his numb brain reminds him.
It loops around endlessly, a record on a turntable. Jack’s dead, Jack’s dead, Jack’s dead.
Jack’s dead because Mac’s plan failed. Jack’s dead because of him.
I literally can’t stop crying right now😭 i literally can’t think and cry at the same time but I really love this fic😔😔 the comparison between the orange and yellow versus red and blue was just amazing, I’m trying to think of words to describe how I feel about this but I literally can’t because of the bittersweetness of it all, the sadness but also hopeful that one day they’ll be happy again in the future even if sunmi isn’t there anymore. When Yoongi showed her the song literally broke my heart😭😭 I need to read something fluffy and cute now😭😭

Hey Mouse, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! I was your gifter this year for the @sanderssidesgiftxchange and I gave you a super hero Au with a side of gore [Or rather a main course of gore] I hope you enjoy it!
This was it, the battle for all the marbles, or as Morality said, "All the cookies in the cookie jar." Whatever you wanted to call it, this was the most important battle. Here and now, would decide the fate of the world. Sure, you hear that in all the superhero movies to get the action and the thrill up, even if the heroes always win in the movies. This though, this was very, very real, and all the heroes could feel a deep fear fill them. It wouldn't stop them from protecting the entire world, and they would do everything to make sure that the world was saved. It was still an unsettling feeling, to be staring potential death straight in the face, your future becoming less clear by the second.
Sanders University, the place they were meant to defend, held the key to world domination, at least to the Troublesome Twosome that was Deceit and Logic. The university was famous for its advanced technology, some of which could give normal humans pseudo-Superpowers, putting them on an even playing field with natural born Supers. The Twosome's plan was to engineer as much superpowered technology as possible, to create an army of villains that would help them conquer the entire world. First they would start with the University itself, but with how much super-tech was in there already, they wouldn't have trouble building a small army to defend it while they work on bigger projects.
The Prince stood on one end and the Duke on the other. In between them stood Anxiety and Morality, their healer and shield respectively. The Duke was holding a thunderbolt in one hand, preparing to throw it should the villains pull any tricks. Prince was holding a pen in his hand, preparing to draw up a weapon or something that would protect them. Anxiety had his hand out, ready to heal the team and get them back to the fight. Morality was empty handed at the moment, giving the villains a smile as if they were just naïve children instead of people bent on world domination.
"Now kiddos," Morality started, holding his arms out in a gesture of peace. "We really don't have to fight today. If you would just willingly come with us we can help you," he assured, making sure his voice would sound even and calming. "Please, don't do this. It would only end in disaster and chaos for everyone, including you two."
Deceit chuckled quietly, which cued Logic to break out in maniacal laughter. Morality cringed and even the Duke shuddered, which was uncommon since he was rather creepy in his own right. Prince and Anxiety looked unamused, even if Anxiety's hand fell to his side, where a short sword, crafted specifically for him by Prince, rested on his hip.
"Oh Morality, darling~" Deceit purred, elbowing his laughing companion in the stomach, who wheezed and went silent, rubbing his stomach as if that would make the pain go away. "That's exactly what we want. Chaos and disaster are what will help us take over this worthless world. Soon, oh so soon we will rule and you will be powerless to stop us! Now, get out of our way and we may spare your lives, if you beg that is." He waved his arm in a big gesture to the building behind the trio of heroes, the one that held the key to their dream.
"Never!" Prince snarled, a sword held in his hands. "We shall never let you get past any of us! We will put our lives on the line to protect the world we love! You'll never win, so give up now and walk away!"
That made Deceit laugh again, wiping a tear from his eye with a gloved hand. "Oh Prince, foolish fool, you will be made to eat your words. I can assure you of that. Logic, if you will."
Logic stepped forward, snickering as he pulled out a remote with a single, red button. He pressed it, causing a dozen cars to crumble and meld together. After a few seconds a giant metal golem stood behind the Duo. Logic cackled, covering his mouth as he snorted. "Be-ha- prepared to meet m-my greatest creation to date, the car golem!" He announced, pointing forward. "Go! Wreck, maim, DESTROY!" He shrieked, doubling over with laughter.
The golem seemed to come to life, surging forward towards the heroes. It was coming fast, intent on ending the battle and the heroes once and for all. It had no mind, no heart, no soul. It had a purpose though, a sole purpose it was destined to complete. End the heroes and leave not even a single one standing.
Morality stepped in front of everyone and summoned a giant dome shield, covering all four of them. Prince and Duke stood behind Patton, while Anxiety put all his energy and focus into keeping Morality's shield strong, which meant using all he had to heal it.
"When I lower the shield go for the weak spots in it's limbs!" Morality shouted, crying out when the Golem pounded on the shield, putting a giant crack in it. They all heard Anxiety let out a sharp exhale, slowly forcing the crack to close. "Damage the legs and arms, rendering it useless!"
"Yes Sir!" "Yes Daddy!" The twins spoke in unison. Morality couldn't help hide an eyeroll at the Duke, but now was not the time to lecture him on his inappropriateness.
"Ready?" He asked, taking a breath. "GO!" He cried out, forcing the shield to burst outward, which made the golem fall back. Morality fell back at the force he used to push the golem back, Anxiety quick to Morality's side to heal him and boost his energy.
The second the shield went down, Prince took towards the right and Duke went left. They were in perfect sync, each summoning their sacred weapons, a paintbrush and a bolt of lightning respectively, charging forward and removing it's limbs.
Prince let out a loud cry, circling around the golem and fleeing the scene. The circle glowed green and vines, flowers, and even tree branches sprouted around it, quickly tying the golem up. The thing let out a loud, metallic screeching noise of distress, before the Duke acted.
He took the precious time where the golem was immobilized and used the pulsing thunderbolt in his hands to slice and dice it's arms and one leg off. The golem continued to shriek and cry out, thrashing around with it's one leg, until Morality came through.
He had moved forward, leaving Anxiety in the back to watch their back. He summoned a small shield, one that was a simple circular shape, save for the spikey thorns and notches in it. He threw it as hard as he could, watching as the killer frisbee cut halfway through a leg, rendering it a mostly useless, twitching lump to the golem.
It continued to try and get to the heroes, but it only managed to flop around uselessly. It was rather useless, slowly going still as it died.
"Fuck yeah!" Duke cheered, before letting out a choked cry as a large snake plunged through his chest. His eyes went wide and he coughed out a sickening mixture of spit and blood, slowly going down on his knees. He reached out, as if to beg for help, his body going still as the snake again plunged through him, tearing his throat in half. His mouth was moving as if attempting to speak, before he fell face down, poised in a silent scream.
Deceit stood behind him, wiping his gloves with a white cloth. It was covered in a layer of blood, but the cloth cleaned the majority off. He tossed it on the corpse, looking at the heroes, who were looking at them in a mixture of shock, fear, and horror.
It was broken as Morality let out an ear piercing shriek, followed by Prince crying out in absolute anguish.
"Remus!" He shrieked, struggling to breath and looking like he was moments away from fainting. "Oh gods, Jesus god WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!?" He cried out, Patton's shrieking sobs becoming a dull noise to him as his rage filled. "I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!"
He charged forward, unaware that the Golem was sliding painfully slowly towards Patton. He continued moving towards Janus, aiming punch after punch, kick after kick at the monster who murdered his brother. Deceit only dodged out of the way, not even bother to strike him.
Eventually, he ducked behind Prince, sweeping his legs out from under him. "Oh dear Princey, don't worry, you'll see him soon," Deceit purred, stomping on the hero's back, relishing in his shrieks of pain. "But look, here." He bent down, grabbing Prince by the hair and pulling his head up to make him look towards Morality.
Morality was on his knees sobbing. The golem was squirming closed to him, using it's half destroyed leg to slowly roll itself over. Roman was shrieking and begging Morality to do something, only to watch as Anxiety sailed past him, sprinting like his life depended on it. "No Virgil stop!" He begged, not wanting to lose two friends and his brother, he wasn't sure if his heart could take it.
Roman could only watch in horror as Virgil shoved Morality, the golem landing on top of the healer, crushing him to death. Roman let out a scream of pure anguish just as Logic began cackling with glee. He couldn't see Morality from behind the golem, but he was so sure that both of them were dead.
Logic danced around, watching the golem start to become consumed by rust. After it was fully rusted, it broke apart into dust, falling to the ground in large, clumpy piles. Even the limbs that were cut off were turned to dust as well. And Virgil? He was laying on the ground, flattened into a bloody clump of human and clothes. The lump didn't even look remotely human, but Prince found he couldn't look away, and he was glad he didn't.
There, next to what was Virgil, was Morality. He was alive and well, Roman hadn't lost everything! He went to call out, only to watch as Morality spit on Virgil's remains, climbing to his feet. "God, I can't believe he was that stupid. Though I suppose his foolish need to jump into bravery was admirable," he commented, brushing himself off. He reached down and grabbed something off of Virgil's remains, but Roman couldn't tell what it was.
Morality walked slowly, painfully slowly, over to Roman, who was confused. He let out a cry when his hair was let go and his face met painfully with the pavement. He ended up biting down on his tongue on the way down, causing his mouth to fill with a metallic tasting liquid. Blood, he thought distantly, but he wasn't able to comprehend it with how quickly his brain was shutting down.
He was rolled over, coming face to face with Morality. "P-Patton?" he croaked out, spitting up a glob of blood that got onto his pure white suit, or a suit that had been pure white. Now it was caked in dirty, boot prints, and even his own blood.
"Oh Princey, sweet sweet Roman," He cooed, brushing his thumb over Roman's cheek. "You're an absolute fool." Patton slowly held up the short sword, Virgil's short sword, pressing it against Roman's throat. He let out a soft whimper, unable to stop the noise from leaving his lips.
"Why?" He choked out, spitting a glob of blood onto Patton's suit. He saw his leader, former leader, cringe but shrug it off after a moment.
"I'm so tired of being treated like the innocent little healer on your team. I can't tell you how many times you've just left me to get captured, used me as bait...you even used me as a human shield once or twice instead of our actual shield, the guy who can make them out of thin air." He grabbed Roman by the chin, forcing the hero to meet his eyes. "I'm not meant to be bait or a human punching bag to protect you selfish lot. I am my own powerful person, stronger and better than all three of you worthless buffoons. I may have been your leader, but I was treated like trash by all three of you. But now....now that won't happen ever again!" Patton chirped, a bright cheery, but equally eerie, smile on his face.
Roman heard Deceit chuckle, looking away from Patton to watch as the villain walked towards the university, Logic right on his heels. He watched as Logic's lips moved quickly, mostly likely talking about whatever wicked plans he wanted to try on poor unsuspecting people.
"Don't take too long, darling!" Deceit called, loud enough for the pair to hear. “We need to get our plans into motion, we've already been set back quite a bit."
"Yes Deceit, I understand," Patton assured, looking back at Roman, who was petrified with fear. "I'm so sorry Roman, but this is your final scene. The curtains have been called and your act is through," he whispered, plunging the knife deep into Roman's chest.
Roman coughed up blood, reaching with one hand to try and pull it out to no avail.
Patton looked rather bored, but delighted at the same time. "This is goodbye Roman, I can't say I'll miss you or any of the others." He gave Roman a big smile, his deep brown eyes looking more golden as he twisted the knife that was lodged in Roman's chest, twisting it to cut deeper into the hero's body.
He felt Roman slowly going limp, the last few strings that he used to cling to life snapping as he let out his final breath. Patton shuddered in pleasure as he felt the man's last breath tickle his neck. He felt a rush, a thrill, he felt almost drunk on this feeling. He let a small grin cross his features, cackling as he pushed the corpse off him. Rising to his feet he felt a need, a deep hunger for more. He wanted more, he needed more of this feeling.
Patton licked his lips, groaning as the few stray drops of Roman's blood hit his taste buds. That felt good. So very, very good.
He brushed himself off, walking towards the University with a smile on his face. He had a mission after all, and world domination sounded just as glorious as crushing these pitiful heroes. Maybe more would come to play with them, that would be fun. If he were lucky, Deceit would let him keep one as a treat, a very special one just for him. Patton had to prove himself, and now that he was seen as an equal, he was never going to disappoint Deceit. He was going to show he earned his spot, and earn his spot he would.
