Best Friend's Little Sister

Unlike Petunia, you were proud of Lily. Never making her feel bad for being different. Lily had lost count on how many times you have told her that she is special to be a witch and she should be proud of it. Hundreds, perhaps thousands of letters have been exchanged between Lily and you when she started Hogwarts. You would ask her about her time in Hogwarts, asking her about how her classes were and her friends. Lily did the same, asking you how life is back home and about your wellbeing. Today Lily received a letter and she was so excited to read it since you told her last week about trying out for a new position in the cheer team at your school. Quickly, opening it she had drawn the attention of the boys around her who were talking and laughing about a prank they recently did. James looks over at Lily when she lets out a gasp and covers her mouth. Lily felt James’ place a hand on her back. He asked her if she's alright.

The boys stopped talking and looked at Lily who gave James a bright smile and nodded. “Yes, it’s my sister. She told me she was made captain and is so excited. She wanted me to go to the last game of the term. She wrote here that I can invite you guys. If you are up for it.”

Lily gave James a picture you had sent along with the letter. Sirius and Peter quickly went over to James and looked over his shoulders. Sirius let out a whistle while Peter's eyes grew wide. The photo was a regular muggle photo of you.

“Evans, where have you been hiding this lovely girl!?” Lily rolled her eyes at Sirius then took the photo from James.

“Don't even think about it!” Lily said before handling it to Remus who remained in his seat in front of Lily.

He grabbed the photo and noticed why Sirius whistled. Remus had met you before, Lily had introduced you to him. He always visited Lily whenever they were on break. Remus knew you were very different from Lily’s older sister. Petunia always gave him a harsh look and would shut the door on his face whenever he came over.

“Don’t be a daft cow.” He hears you behind the door before opening it.

“Rem Rem.” You shouted as you hugged him. Remus always smiles at the nickname and hugs you back.

“She’s captain of what?” Peter asked walking back to his seat to continue on with his breakfast.

“She’s captain of the cheerleading team at her school. She has been wanting that spot for so long.” Lily said with a proud smile.

Remus continued to stare at the photo. His eyes looking at every detail, oh how he wished the photo could move. You had a red and gold uniform with black lining on the hem. Your hair was in a ponytail and he saw the glitter around your eyes, making them pop out even more. You looked beautiful, he says to himself. You had two big red pom-poms in each hand. The smile on your face was big and it reminded him of the smiles you always gave him.

“That’s exciting.” James commented as Lily took out the tickets from the envelope.

“If you guys are up for it.” Lily said, waving the tickets in her hands. Sirius and James looked at each other with a grin, any chance they got to see the muggle world, they took it. Peter nodded before letting them know he would have to ask his parents first.

“Moony?” Sirius said, placing an arm over his friend’s shoulder. Remus looks away from the picture and nods at Lily.

The Marauders stood in front of the school as Lily thanked her dad for giving them a ride.

“It’s a bit small.” Peter commented. “Well, it’s not a castle.” Sirius said, looking at the school. They jumped when a group of guys came walking beside them. James’ eyes widened when he saw they were shirtless with red and gold paint over their chest including their faces.

“Are we safe here?” Peter asked them and Lily came behind them. “Of course, it’s a high school football game.”

“Think of how fans are for quidditch. They are the same for football.” Remus told Peter and gave him a pat on his shoulder.

“What’s football?” Sirius asked, putting his hands in the pockets of his leather jacket. Lily glanced over at Remus who shrugged his shoulders.

“Like quidditch but running.” Lily said not really knowing how to explain it better. Walking up to the front of the school Lily soon realized she didn't know where she was going. She hasn't been to a public school in years.

“Are you Lily?” The Marauders looked over at a tall boy with blonde hair and he wore a red and gold cheer uniform just like the one you wore in the picture.

“Who’s asking?” James said, stepping in front of Lily. James puffed his chest out trying to intimidate the boy who was taller than him. Lily rolled her eyes at James and pushed him behind her before greeting the boy. The boy gave them a smile and shook her hand, ignoring the small dramatic gasp from James and Sirius.

“I’m Chris, I'm in the squad. Your sister wanted to make sure you guys won’t get lost. Follow me.” Chris told them as he opened the front door of the school for them. He explained to them, it's easier to go this way so they wouldn't have to wait in line. Remus thanked him as Peter and Sirius looked at Chris with a shady look but soon it went away when they noticed the inside of the school. As they walked they looked inside the classrooms and looked at the papers stapled in the bulletin board.

“Wow.” Sirius said as they walked down the hallway.

“James! Sirius!” Lily called out when she noticed they were not following her. Remus looked over his shoulder and frowned when he saw James and Sirius in front of a wall of lockers.

“What's this contraception?” Sirius said, knocking on the red locker. James twisted the lock and pointed at the numbers.

“It’s a locker.” Remus told them and Peter walked over to look at it. James and Sirius look over at Remus with a curious look. “What is it for?”

Remus fought the urge to laugh. James, Sirius and Peter were pureblood, they had no idea what this was. Pushing James and Sirius back to follow Lily, he answered them. “It’s where students put their coats, books and bags while they attend classes. They use the lock to put their code to open it and lock it so nobody steals their belongings.”

“We should ask Dumbledore for lockers!” Sirius said with a nod thinking how cool it will be to have one. He always forgets his books in his room.

“Where do you guys go to school, again?” They froze when Chris asked them. Lily looks over at them with a stern face before dropping it to answer Chris.

“I’m sure, my sister told you. We go to a boarding school.” Lily said. Remus nods at the tall boy.

“We have dorms so we don't use lockers.” He added convincing Chris who looked over at Peter who was twisting the lock of a nearby locker.

“She probably did.” Chris said, shaking his head. “You guys want to see mine?” Chris asked, pointing over his shoulder at the lockers.

“Yes!” James and Sirius shouted and quickly followed Chris with Peter behind them. After 10 minutes of Chris showing them how to open a locker, they finally made it to the football field after providing the tickets to Chris. Remus stayed in the back making sure all the guys were following Lily. The stands were filled with people and students already. Chris waved bye at them and told them he’ll let you know they are here.

“It’s like a quidditch field.” James said as he looked around excited. Remus sat next to Lily as James sat on the other side with Peter. Sirius sat next to Remus in the middle of the stand getting a good view at the field.

“I haven't seen her in so long.” Lily said as she got comfortable on the metal bleachers. “Has your older sister seen her cheer before?” James asked and Lily shook her. “Petunia says cheering is for sluts.”

“I swear, Evans, your older sister hates everything.” Peter said, making her nod.

“She does but at least Y/n doesn't hate me.” Lily said with a soft tone as she stared at the field. Remus hooks Lily’s arm around with his and James snuggles close to her grabbing a hold of her hand. They knew about Lily's family and how her oldest sister always made her out to be a freak. The Marauders were happy she had you for a sister.

The game started and The Marauders jumped at the sound of the horn playing through the intercom. The people around them stood up and shouted, waving and pumping their arms in the air.

“They look so huge.” Peter shouted as the football team came running out of the field pumping their arms in the air, exciting the crowd even more.

“Oh my! She’s there.” Lily shouted standing up as the crowd hollered at the sight of cheerleaders running out. Remus stood up as well and watched a few girls do a flip as they ran in front of the bleachers.

Sirius smirks to see his tall lanky friend staring at the cheerleaders knowing who he was trying to find. Remus told Sirius on their way to Lily’s town after they left Hogwarts for break. Sirius found Remus shaving his face in the bathroom of the train.

“Oi! Who are you trying to impress, mate?” Sirius asked as he went inside the bathroom and shut the door. Sirius couldn't help but laugh at Remus who was trying to come up with a lie. Remus couldn't lie to Sirius for shit. That’s when Remus told Sirius he had a crush on you and wanted to look good for you.

“Is this why you never go out with the girls at school? And is this why, every time Lily gets a letter you get so happy when you find out it’s from her? Have you tried anything with her yet?” Remus turns red in the face and looks away from his friend. He gets nervous and Sirius can see his hand holding the razor shakes.

Sirius lets out a sigh when Remus didn’t say anything. He tells Remus to sit his ass down on the toilet seat so he can help him shave. Pushing his legs apart, Sirius gets to work and shaves the other side of Remus’ face.

“I’m just gonna say this once mate because you’re my best friend and I love you so much but you can be thick sometimes.” Remus tenses up as Sirius wipes the excess shaving cream off his cheekbone with a paper towel.

Sirius continues, “You should tell her how you feel. I’m hoping you’re not letting Moony get in between her and you because I’m pretty sure she will understand just like Lily did and if her sister is anything like her, she would love you and Moony just like we do."

“She is like Lily. Kind and smart. Dare I say more beautiful than her.” Remus said without a second thought to Sirius.

“Don’t say that in front of James.” Sirius warned jokily before heading back to his seat.

Sirius grabbed Remus by the hand when he noticed everyone sat down when the cheerleaders started to get in their position in front of the bleachers. Remus was pulled down forcibly and was about to snap at Sirius when he leaned against him and pointed ahead. Remus followed his hand and saw you walking in the front of the group. Remus hears Lily squeal beside him at the sight of you. His cheeks grew pink at the sight of you. You had a red skirt showing your legs off, Remus felt his mouth go dry at the sight of your bare thighs and legs. The sleeveless top you had on had the school logo printed on it and you wore a red long sleeve shirt it. It was tight and short showing just a bit of the skin of your stomach. Your hair is in a ponytail tied in a red scrunchie.

“I think I'm in love.” Peter said as the cheerleaders started to dance, his eyes stared at a blonde who stood next to you. James laughed, bumping his shoulder at his friend as they watched the show.

Remus saw you raising your hands in the air above your head and shouting the school name before clapping three times. It wasn't the sound of the music playing or the people around him cheering that had him mesmerized but it was the way you move your hips along with the rest of the girls to the beat of the song.

“LETS GO BABY!!” Remus hears a guy scream from the top of the bleacher as they continue to cheer.

Remus watched as Chris came behind you as the girls walked towards the rest of the guys. You came in front of Chris and he turned you around and lifted you in the air. The crowd went wild as the rest of the girls did the same. They began to clap when you turned to the side and grab your leg with both hands pulling the foot behind your head holding the position all while Chris held you up in the air. Remus grew worry when he saw you were going to come down but Chris caught you with ease, it was part of the show.

“How did they do that without magic?” Sirius asked, looking at Lily when the game began to start. Remus was too busy looking at you to listen to Lily's answer. He noticed you were talking and laughing with the team as the players started the game. Peter and James were watching in awe as the players tackled the other team pushing them to the ground with a harsh force. Lily and Remus were looking at the players running back and forth not understanding anything, they wince when one of the players tackled one while holding the ball. Half way through the game Sirius had his head against Remus’ shoulder as he took a nap with a half empty bucket of popcorn on his lap, he begged Lily to buy it for him since they don’t accept galleons.

The horn rang out loud again making Sirius yelp as he woke up spilling his popcorn on the floor.

“Did she win?” He asked in a sleepy tone to Remus, making him chuckle. “She is not the one playing, Padfoot.” James answered as the game went into halftime.

“Who’s winning?” Lily looked at the giant screen showing the count. “This school is.”

“Yay! It means she is winning.” Sirius said, picking up the bucket from the ground with Remus’ help. James and Peter were dancing around when a catchy song started to play through the intercom. Remus watched ahead at you as the girls started to shout out phrases making the crowd cheer.

“LET’S GO! LET’S GO! WE ARE THE BEST! WE CAN'T BE BEAT!”

Remus saw your eyes widen when you saw Lily. You waved at her as you continued to shout. Lily let out a squeal as she waved back at you. You were doing the usual routine, clapping your hands and turning around to shake your hips when you saw your sister. Your heart grew at the sight of your sister, she came to see you. You missed her so much. Looking to her left, your mouth dropped when you saw him. It was Remus Lupin, your sister’s best friend who you had a crush on since you were little. Quickly closing your mouth you continued with the routine but didn’t look away from him. Remus gave you a smile and you gave him one as well. You met Remus when Lily got back home after her first year in Hogwarts. He was tall for his age and nervous. He had scars on his face and you noticed he had it on his arms as well. You didn't ask him about it, you just told him if he wanted to play in the backyard. As the years passed the three of you would play around and walk around town. He always came to visit every year. Remus has always been kind and treated you respectfully. Giving you his cozy sweater or cardigan whenever you were cold or he would grab something from the top shelf for you when you couldn’t. He would let you grab a hold of his arm when walking around town knowing he walked faster since he had long legs.

You didn't know when the feelings for Remus began. You think you always liked him and the moment you realize when you really did was when Remus noticed one of your shoes had become untied while taking him to the bookstore as Lily stayed home with her parents helping them get started with dinner. He told you to lean against the nearest building and you obey. He knelt down in front of you on one leg and helped you place your foot on his knee. You couldn't help but tense up when you felt his hand on your leg. His long fingers work on your shoe laces; he looks up at you when he's done. He gives you a smile making your cheeks flare up.

“Thanks Rem Rem.” You said removing your foot from his knee. Remus doesn't move from his spot when you get closer to him. He’s too busy looking at you to notice your hand coming up to his face. He feels your fingers run through his sandy curls, something you were dying to do when he began to grow his hair out.

Before both of you could say anything, someone had cleared their throat and stood in front of them. “Excuse me.”

The older woman with a cart passed by , walking down the side walk ignoring Remus and your apologies.

That was two summers ago. You couldn't see Remus' last break since you went to cheer camp. You had written to Lily asking about him and how he was doing. You wanted to write to him. You really did but you were nervous he wouldn’t reply back. You wonder if he had a girlfriend. You didn't ask Lily about it, you were far too embarrassed. You didn't think he would ever want to be with a “Muggle.” Lily told you the term when she told you about Hogwarts and her magic. You continued to hold your stare at Remus. You couldn't look away, he looked so handsome. Lily notices your smile and your blushing face, she looks over at Remus who had a smile on his face.

“You were so eye fucking him.” One of your friends said after the routine was done and the football players started to head back to the field.

“No, I wasn’t.” You said turning around looking seriously at the field. The rest of the girls giggled before one spoke. “He got a lot of scars on his face.”

“He was in an accident.” You lied to them before looking over at your shoulder at your sister and her friends. You have only met Remus but you've heard of the rest and known their names. Your sister had told you about Remus and his wolf problem. You didn't believe it at first but you knew Lily wasn’t the type to make shit up. You were okay with it, Remus never changed, he was still the nice guy you knew and you came to term that the guy you liked became a werewolf once in a full moon. You were glad, Remus had his friends helping him during those times. You never told Remus you knew, not even that day when he so kindly knelt down to tie your shoe or when he gifted you a book.

“The guy next to him with long dark hair is pretty cute.” You just smiled at the girls gushed at your sister's friend. Lily and the Marauders stood by the parking lot of the school waiting for you to come out. James noticed how nervous Lily was as she kept looking for you over the mass of people.

“She’ll be here, dear.” James said, rubbing Lily’s back as they waited for you.

“Yeah, Lils.” Sirius said getting near her. He looks over at Remus who was looking for you as well.

“Oi! There she is.” Peter shouted out and pointed at the exit of the school. Remus watched as you walked out with a duffel bag, hanging on your shoulder as you spoke with someone. Remus smile dropped when he saw it was one of the football players. He wore a jersey with the number 6 and had his own bag over his broad shoulder. Remus can't help but notice how the player looked. The guy was taller then him, had muscles and another thing that made Remus' heart sink was the guy had no scars on his face.

He wouldn't be surprised to find out that he was your boyfriend. Cheerleaders go out with football players, that's the normal thing, Remus thought.

Lily yells your name as she waved her hands in the air. Remus saw you quickly look at them and placed a hand on the guy’s arm before running towards Lily. Remus couldn't help but smile as you threw your bag at the ground and hugged Lily. Shoving his hands in the pocket of his cardigan, he looks over at the sisters embracing each other.

“I missed you so much.” You cried in Lily’s neck. “Me too.” Lily said, pulling away to kiss your cheek.

“I brought the boys.” Lily said, looking over at her shoulder. Remus saw you smile bright at the sight of him.

“REM REM.” You called out, speed walking to Remus. Sirius and James shared a look when you wrapped your arms around Remus’ body. Remus did the same hugging you by the shoulders with both arms. Remus couldn't help but run his fingers through your hair as you looked up at him. You had taken the scrunchie out, he noticed you wore it on your wrist.

You gave Sirius and Peter a hug, greeting them. Lily introduced you to James and you immediately frowned.

“Should I kick your ass now or later?” James' mouth dropped out and was about to say something when Lily and you started to burst out in laughter.

“She told me you were a little shit.” Sirius and Peter laughed.

“How can you say that about me, Lils?” James said with a gasp not understanding it was a joke. You knew about James Potter and knew your sister liked him before she even realized it herself. You have read pages of Lily, telling you about James Potter. She wrote how ridiculous and rude he was but at the end of the letters Lily always wrote that James' hair looked cute.

“She was joking, dear.” You nodded at him as Lily gave him a kiss on his cheek.

“That's right. I'm just joking. She said far worse things.” You said making Lily shout your name. “I’m joking.” You told him before looking over at Sirius, Peter and Remus shaking your head making them laugh.

“My brother in law isn’t a little shit.” You said as you hugged James who grew red like Lily’s hair when you called him brother in law.

“Keep messing with him, Y/n. He’ll turn you into a toad.” Lily said, making you gasp then looked at James.

“Can you really do that?! Can you make me into a tiger instead?” You asked frantically as you looked at James who laughed at your enthusiasm.

“Oh my god, can you turn this guy’s hair red for me?” You asked James. “Remember, we have rules. We can’t use magic outside of the school grounds.” You sighed at her.

“That’s so dumb.” You said as Sirius walked towards you. He placed an arm over your shoulder and agreed with you.

“Wait for next year. We got you. What color tiger do you want to be?” Sirius asked, wiggling his eyebrows at you. Remus watched as you smiled at Sirius before tapping your chin as you thought of an answer. You were about to answer when he heard your name being called out.

Remus watched as the same football player came running towards you. Sirius noticed Remus’ face and tugged you closer to him. He wasn’t going to let some beefy guy with a helmet who runs over people for fun get a hold of his best friend’s girl.

“Lincoln is throwing a house party to celebrate our win. Are you coming?” You looked over at Lily and looked back at him.

“Can my sisters and her friends come too?” He quickly nodded as a green jeep drove up by them.

“Yo! Evans! Are you coming to the party?!” The driver asks you. “Yeah! She is going to bring some people.” The football player told the driver.

“You guys want to come?” You turned to them. James looks over at Lily.

“You haven’t been to a house party before, Lily. This can be a good experience for you.” Peter and Sirius agreed while James waited for Lily to answer.

“Rem Rem?” You asked as you walked towards Remus.

“I guess we can stop by for a few hours.” Remus said as you grabbed a hold of his hand. Remus looks over at Lily and tilts his head at her.

“Let's go.” You let out a squeal and kiss her cheek. “Mike, can we hitch a ride with you?” You asked the driver.

“Sure thing, love. Seb, I’ll follow you.” Mike said, looking out the window at the football player.

“Alright, I’ll be back.” Seb said as Mike parked his car in front of them.

“What about dad?” Lily asked as James and Peter got inside the car. Sirius grabs your bag from the ground, throwing it in the back of the car.

“Don’t worry. I’ll call dad when we are there.” Sirius helped Lily up in the jeep car.

“One of you guys can come in the front.” Mike said as he waiting for them to get in. Sirius looks at Remus and you, both of you are still holding hands.

“Moony! Go to the back with Little Evans.” Sirius said as he walked to the passenger seat. Mike looks at Sirius who sat beside him and shut the door.

“Moony?” Mike asked as he looked over at Sirius who sat down and shut the car door. “It’s just a nickname. Name is Sirius but you can call me, Padfoot.” Sirius said as Lily told him to put on his seatbelt but Sirius was too in enthrall looking at Mike to even listen to her.

“Nice to meet you, Padfoot. I’m Mike.” Sirius leaned back in his seat when Mike got close to him. Sirius blushes when Mike got close to him. Mike had short black hair showing his pierced ears and his eyes were light brown.

“Seat belts are important.” Mike said in a soft tone as he grabbed it for Sirius. Mike gives him a smile when he clicks it, making sure it was correctly in place and leans back in his seat.

“Rem Rem, would you mind if I sit on your lap?” Remus looks over to see Lily sitting on James lap as Peter sat in the middle.

When Remus didn’t answer, you whispered to him. “It’s alright, if you mind. I can catch a ride with someone else.”

Remus still didn’t answer and with a heavy heart you were about to shut the door when he grabbed a hold of your arm.

“Yes, you can sit down. Please do.” James snorts a laugh behind Lily’s hair as Remus practically tugs you inside the car. Remus shuts the door as you settle down in his lab. He spreads his legs to make room for your legs. Remus can smell the light scent of your body spray, he’s so close to you. The car started to move and there was a bump in the road. You were about to fall forward when he wrapped his arms around your stomach, pulling you to his chest.

“You okay?” Remus asked behind you. Your cheeks grew hot when you felt his breath behind your ear.

“Yeah.” You whispered as you grabbed his arm. Your fingers began to play with the fabric of his cardigan. He feels so warm behind you. So comfortable, you feel the roughness of his jeans against your bare legs. You hear Lily and James talking to Mike about their “boarding school.”

Remus was thinking hard as he shut his eyes. He thought of vomit, James vomiting, Peter vomiting, Sirius vomiting on Peter and James. He thought of it as he felt your ass against his crotch.

“Gross thoughts. Gross thoughts.” He tells himself.

He felt you lean back and look at him. “I did miss you, Remus.” You whispered as the window of the car rolled down.

Remus looks at you and holds you close as Mike makes a left.

“I missed you too.” Remus admits. He always waited for Lily to receive your letter so he could find out how you were. He was devastated when Lily told him you were going to cheer camp last summer. He didn’t see you that summer and he felt bad for lying to Lily whenever she asked him why he had a long face.

“You know maybe next time, I can write-.” Peter's wow cuts them off when Mike parked in front of a large house.

Remus stood behind you as everyone made their way into the house. Sirius and Peter stood close as they walked inside looking at the other students on the couch, or dancing in the living room. Some where in the corner smoking while others were in the back yard playing something Remus told them was called Beer Pong.

“Holy shit! If it isn’t the captain in the flesh.” A girl came at you, hugging you. She was a bit taller and wore the same cheerleading uniform as you.

“When Seb told me you were coming. I couldn’t believe it. He went out to get more beer for you.” You tsk at her before shaking her head.

“Christina, he didn’t have too. I’m not planning on drinking. I just wanted to show my sister and her friends who just came to visit me the party.” You said looking over Lily and the guys. Peter's eyes were wide as he saw it was the blonde he was fawning over earlier. Peter thought he was going to have a stroke when the blonde introduced herself to everyone and gave each of them a kiss on the cheek.

“Please tell your sister to relax.” Christina said, looking over at Lily.

“She never comes to our house party. Our captain is a good girl but finally she is at her first party. She needs to have a drink.”

“Peter, why don’t you help her get some drinks for us.” Peter looks over at you with a face. You gave him a wink and signaled your head to Christina. It was painfully obvious that he liked her.

“Oh yes, come with me.” Christina said, holding out her hand for Peter. Everyone smiled as Peter without a single thought, grabbed a hold of her hand and let Christina drag him to the kitchen.

“She’s harmless. I swear.” You said looking over at the kitchen again.

“Is it true then?” Sirius asked with a smirk. “You’re a good girl? You never drink?”

“Of course, she is. She’s just like me.” Lily said, walking over to you making you chuckle.

You tried your best to not look Remus. A bit embarrassed that your friends had outed you and told your sister and her friends that you were a prude and a good girl who doesn’t do anything bad.

“Yo!” Remus watched the same football player you were talking come behind you.

“Christina said you’re drinking.” Lily's eyes widened at the sight of the football player towering over them. He had a case of beer over his shoulder, showing his muscles.

“Only one, Seb. By the way, this is my sister and these are her friends.” Remus felt like he needed to drink something before lashing out when he saw Seb placing a hand on your shoulder after handing them the cans of beer.

“I want you guys to meet my boyfriend. BABY!” Remus looks up from his beer at the guy. Wait boyfriend, Remus and Sirius glance at each other as Chris from earlier comes towards them with a smile.

James saw Chris come over and give a kiss to Chris before looking over at them. “You met my boyfriend, Seb.”

Remus chuckles to himself. Seb wasn't your boyfriend. Remus liked how you interacted with them. He liked seeing you smiling and talking. He didn’t know you were quite popular. He felt childish whenever he got a little bit jealous when a guy came over to talk to you. He couldn’t help it though you were so beautiful. Of course, guys are going to come up to you. He was glad that you didn’t leave them to talk to someone else. You had introduced them to practically everyone.

Lily and James were dancing while Peter and Christina were in the kitchen, getting their seventh drink of the night. Remus can’t help but smirk when he sees Sirius and Mike leaning close together against the wall. Sirius was showing Mike, his silver rings on his fingers. Remus looks away when he sees you walking back to him with two more beers. He made room for you on the couch and thanked you when you handed him one.

“Are you having a good time?” Remus looks over at you. Your cheeks were a bit flushed and your eyes were glossy, you had more than one beer. You had a smile on your face as you played with the tab of the can. Remus bumps his knee with yours.

“I am. You?” You nod at him as he takes a sip. Remus notices as a couple walking in front of you and sat across from him and you. The girl recognized you as well as the guy she was with. The girl had bright red hair while the guy had his hair neon green. The couple were from your art class, you told him. You were talking with them when you accidently placed your hand on top of his. Remus blushed when you grabbed a hold of his hand as you laughed at them.

"Did you hear them?" Remus smiles and nods at you. He haven't heard a thing, he was freaking out on inside that you were holding his hand. He didn’t let go, he didn’t want you to let go

“To be honest, I’m surprised you’re here. You’re usually reading or in the library. Always reading that weird brown book.” Remus looks up at the girl's words.

“What?” He asked and looked over at you who was blushing really hard.

“She always has this brown book. A fairytale about these four people. They are witches or something.” She said before looking over at her boyfriend.

“Yeah, what is it again? Dude is a lion and one is a snake.” Remus frowns as they continue to speak. “You looked inside of it?” Remus felt you sit up straight.

“Only for a second, we just wanted to know what it was. You're always reading it.”

“Oh shit! I remember! They were wizards and they made this school or something.” Remus' heart dropped when she said that.

You still had the book he gifted you a while back. It was a gift he had given you for your birthday. He remembered he had bought it in Hogsmeade and wrapped it in a paper bag. He remembers the face you make when he sat beside you as you open the book. It was filled with colorful photos and all information about Hogwarts and the four founding members. You had given him a kiss on the cheek when you turned a page and saw the photos were moving.

“They have an orgy at the end?” The guy asks you with a laugh and Remus notices the awkward look on your face.

“They all die.” Remus answered a bit harshly.

“I’m going out for some air.” You said quickly getting up from the couch, letting go of his hand and walking out the back door.

You didn’t realize Remus was following you. He excuses himself to your friends and follows you. He placed his beer on the kitchen counter as he went through the back door where you went. Making your way further to the backyard, you threw your beer on the ground. You sighed to yourself, you felt embarrassed and worry. You were sure that Remus was angry at you for letting someone look in the book that he had gifted you. It would be best if no one got a hold of it, he had told you and made you promise to never show it to anyone. That book was the only thing from Remus and you had carried it everywhere with you. You had read countless times front to back. You read all the stories about the houses and the professors in it. You had daydreamed about going to Hogwarts to see your sister and Remus.

Remus calls your name out when he sees you leaning against a tree. Looking over your shoulder, he saw you were going to cry. He quickly goes to you.

“What’s wrong?” He asked as he wrapped an arm around you.

“I’m sorry. They saw the book. I know I promise you no one would look at it. Please don’t be mad at me.” Remus shakes his head as he drops his arm around you.

“It’s okay. I’m not mad at you.” You look up at a Remus with tears welled up in your eyes. Remus quickly wipe the single tear that managed to escape your eye.

“You kept the book.” Remus said as his hand cupped your cheek then slowly dropped down at your neck. His fingers touched the neckline of your uniform. You lean against him before looking down at the ground all shy.

“Of course, you gave it to me as a gift. I love it.” You didn’t say anything else when Remus brought his hand under your chin.

“It’s been years and you still read it?” You nod at him when he made you look up at him.

“Why?” He asked, looking down at your face.

“It reminds me of Lily.” Remus was going to pull away at your answer. Perhaps he thought wrong, he thinks to himself. Maybe you didn’t feel anything for him.

“I think of you too, Remus.” He comes to a halt. "I imagine what it would be like to go to school with you."

"I imagine that too." Remus admitted. "I would walk you to your classes. I'll take you to the Black Lake and to the Astronomy Tower. Then at the weekends, I'll take you out to Hogsmeade."

"I would have love that." You tell him. "Lily told me that the Astronomy Tower is usually where people go to.." You don't finish your sentence, there was no need because Remus knew. People go up there when feeling frisky.

He chuckles and rub the back of his neck avoid eye contact with you. You knew it was now or never when Remus began to stutter, trying to come up with something.

“I want to tell you something. It might seem dumb to you because I'm your best friend's little sister. I like you and before you say anything. I’m sure there are pretty witches at your school and you might have someone already but I like you, Remus. I like you a lot.” Remus felt you about to back away when he didn’t say anything.

He quickly leans down to kiss your lips, give you a peck. Sirius’ words echoed in his mind about telling you the truth.

“Remus..” You said his name softly.

“I like you too.” Remus shyly said as he pulled you into his chest.

“I like you so much that I don’t even look at the witches in school. I don’t care that you’re a muggle.” Remus said easing your insecurities.

When it was time to leave, Remus didn’t want to go. There was one last week until starting a new school year. He had begged his parents to let him stay for a few more weeks after the house party. Your relationship with him blossomed after that night. When he stayed over at the Evans, he slept on the couch. Every night he stayed, he waited up for you to quietly go down the stairs. He would bite his bottom lip to not make a noise when you straddle him to kiss him. Making out until dawn and talking in hushed whispers about his interests and yours, talking about books and movies.

When it was time to go, Lily’s father was nice enough to take me to the train station. Remus and you were behind the house away from everyone, he towered over you as he kissed you.

“Write to me. Promise me you’ll write to me.” He begs as he nuzzles into your neck.

“I will. I promise it. Once a week.” Remus shakes his head. “Everyday.” You looked at him with wide eyes and repeated it in a shocking tone.

“Your owl will get tired.” Remus shakes his head once more.

“I’ll give him treats and feed him more.” Remus said with a smile before sighing.

“I’m going to miss you.” Remus told you sadly.

“One more year and you’re out.” You whispered to him as you kissed him. You pulled away at the sound of Lily calling for him and you.

Remus wants to tell you about Moony. He really did it every time he was going to bring it out, something or someone will get in the way. He was sure that you were going to break up with him once you found out. It was crazy enough that he was a wizard but he’s a werewolf as well. Remus was deep in thought as he gave Mr. Evans his luggage so he could put it in the trunk of his car.

“Bye, Moony!” Remus' head shot up and saw you waving at him by the front door. Lily comes out behind you and waves bye at Remus.

It was a week back in school and Remus was eating breakfast when the mail started to fly in. One by one owls came flying though and dropped letters and mail to the students. Remus knew you wouldn’t write back. You knew his nickname. Moony, he was pretty sure you were smart enough to figure it out. He didn’t mention it to Lily about it. Afraid to ruin his friendship with her but he told Sirius it.

“Oh! Moony!” Sirius shouted as he watched the white envelope slowly falling down in front of Remus.

Remus looks up from his plate and stands up, reaching to grab the letter. Sirius looks over as Remus quickly opens it. Sirius can’t help but smile at the sight of his best mate looking happy as he read the letter from you.

"She knows." Remus said looking at Sirius. "And?" Sirius asked worry as Remus went back to read the letter.

"If you think being one will make me like you less. You are wrong, Remus Lupin." They shared a smile and Remus pulls out a red scrunchie from inside the envelope. Remus pulls his sleeves up so he can put it around his wrist.

Sirius turns back to his plate and raises a brow when he notices a letter next to him. Opening it up, he can’t fight the urge to smile wide when he sees it was from Mike.

So you know your Regulus getting head for the first time? What if it’s innocent!james… Euphemia and Flemount kept him shielded from anything more then kissing so when he gets a girlfriend and they’re making out she dryhumps him… and obviously that leads to head. Thoughts? Prayers? idk i’m not good at sending asks (this is like my 2nd time istg) 😭

warnings: explicit smut, blowjob, innocence

masterlist

james’ lips taste like red gatorade. he’s practically addicted to the stuff. you can’t help but smile against his lips, hopelessly endeared. he smiles along with you, a breathless giggle escaping his throat. “what?” he mumbles.

you pull back to catch you breath, foreheads pressed together, still grinning. “nothing.”

before he can reply you kiss him again. this time, it’s deeper. you straddle his thigh, pushing his back against the wall behind his bed. he releases a surprised groan but is largely compliant, letting you take the reins.

you slip your tongue past his plush lips, exploring the inside of his mouth. your cunt throbs as you feel along the wet cavern. you can feel yourself leaking onto his jeans.

in desperate need of stimulation, you hump his thick thigh, the rough denim of the jeans offering the perfect amount of friction. your clit is engorged and pulsating, rubbing through the thin cloth of your panties.

james pulls away from the kiss, lips swollen, eyes wide and startled. his glasses are crooked. “wh-what are you doing?”

you look up at him through your lashes, pulling away from his belt buckle. “do you want me to stop?”

“um… no?”

you undo the buckle, pulling his belt out of the loops of his jeans. you can feel his cock fill and harden underneath the cloth of his pants.

“you sure?” you ask, cocking an eyebrow.

he looks a bit embarrassed now, his cheeks tinged red. “i…”

you decide to show before you ask. you slide off the bed, sinking to your knees on his bedroom’s rug. “can i?” you gesture to his pants.

he nods vigorously. you smirk at his eagerness, pulling his pants down. his boxers are bright red, little gold crowns dotted on the fabric. his bulge is pathetically prominent.

you cup the tent, needing to use both hands to cover his sheer size. you squeeze and he releases a truly indecent moan.

“you can- you can do whatever you want. just please don’t stop.” his voice is high-pitched and whiny. he already sounds like he’s on the brink of coming. the sound goes straight to your pussy.

you desperately tear away his boxers, letting his cock spring free. it’s even larger than you anticipated, and fully hardened now. his tip is red enough to rival his boxers.

you run your finger along a bulging vein and he arches his back, whimpering. “please don’t stop, please don’t stop!” he’s begging now.

his tip bubbles with pre-cum at your first touch. you reach down for his balls, sliding his shaft into your mouth. his cock jerks around inside the walls of your throat. you grind into his carpet, swirling your tongue around his length.

you gently tug on his balls. the double stimulation seems to be too much and he comes into your mouth. hot ropes of his seed shoot down your throat, filling you with his taste.

you dig your nails into his thigh, forcing him to look you in the eyes as you swallow. he whimpers at the sight of it, a tear sliding down his cheek.

 Marlene Mckinnon

Pairing: Marlene Mckinnon x fem!reader

Summary: Marlene and you are friends with benefits. Or are you?

Word count: 1.9k

Warning: angst (w/ happy ending)

 Marlene Mckinnon

As the team is celebrating their victory, Marlene has been looking for you everywhere but hasn't been able to find you. She is feeling a little tired and a bit disappointed that you're not here to celebrate with her, you two were friends you know. Most of the time. But then she finally sees you across the room and decides it's the perfect moment to surprise you with a little intimate time. Marlene approaches you with a mischievious smile. She seems a little flushed and her cheeks are a bit flushed. She gets right to the point and pulls you aside to a quiet area. You can tell exactly what she wants and your breath catches in your throat at the prospect. "I've been looking for you everywhere," she whispers, her breath hitting your neck. You feel her warmth as she pulls you close to her. You can feel the heat building up between your bodies as she looks directly into your eyes. "I have something special for you," she says, her voice trembling with desire. Marlene pulls you up against her, caressing your body in a sensual way. Her touch is soft and gentle, but also has a hint of intensity that makes your heart beat faster. You can feel her breath on your neck, your skin trembling with arousal as she looks at you with a fierce stare. You feel like you are in the presence of a force of nature, someone who can't be stopped from getting what she wants. “We should be at the party, Marls.” you caressed your hand on her face.

“And who said that?” Marlene's hands caress your body, traveling up and down and exploring every inch of you. Her fingers run down your spine, her soft touch sending a shiver of arousal through you. She is breathing heavy, her body pressed close to yours, but you feel no tension between the two of you. The pressure between you is palpable, building up and up like a wave of satisfaction about to break. "Just let yourself go and let me take care of you," Marlene says softly. Her hands brush against your skin, her touch making the atmosphere between you and her feel like a cocoon of pure bliss. You could never resist her. That’s why you were in that situation. At the beginning, you weren’t sure that you have feelings for her and you thought it was “just sex”. But it wasn’t like that. You were in love with her, but she wasn’t. You didn’t want to end this because you wanted her to touch you and make love with you, but this situation was keeping to give you pain and suffering.

Marlene kept touching you, her hands sliding across the muscles of your back, her gentle fingers caressing every inch of your body. The warmth feels intoxicating and you start to lose your train of thought, your mind filled with only one thing: Marlene's touch. Marlene's touches become more insistent, her hands sliding up and down your body, the heat between you growing to almost unbearable levels. Her breathing becomes heavier and she pulls you in for a deep kiss, her tongue exploring your mouth with a sense of familiarity that only comes from having done this a thousand times before.

"I can't do this anymore," you say softly, looking away from Marlene with a sense of regret and sadness. Marlene is taken aback by your sudden change in tone, her hands dropping to her side. Marlene stops and pulls back, surprised by your sudden change in tone. She looks at you with a concerned look on her face, her hand brushing against your cheek. "What's wrong?" she asks, her voice full of concern. You look up at Marlene, your eyes filled with sadness and remorse. You take a deep breath and look away again. "I...I'm sorry, I just can't." you didn’t want to admit that you were in love with her. Marlene was confused, her tone becoming more sympathetic as she sees the pain you're feeling. She reaches out to hold your hand in hers, her warm touch trying to give you some comfort. “I thought you wanted that..” Marlene's touch made the whole situation even more confusing. Her kindness and sympathy made it difficult for you to stick to your decision. You felt like she was pulling you in and you wanted to resist, but the warmth of her touch was so alluring, so inviting. Marlene's eyes met yours, a glimmer of hope and sadness in her gaze. "You don't want this?" she asked softly, holding your hand tighter. Marlene stares at you with an inquisitive gaze, unable to understand why you've suddenly decided to change directions. She seems disappointed as she steps back from you. She looks at you with an expression of hope and concern at the same time. When she sees the sadness in your eyes, she feels her heartbeat quicken. She doesn't know how to respond to this new development. She doesn't know if you're simply hesitant or afraid, but she doesn't want to push you away. She is feeling a mix of emotions herself and she doesn't like the idea of being rejected. As Marlene takes a step back, you feel your heart sink. You feel an overwhelming sense of sadness and regret, thinking about the wonderful times you have actually had together. The chemistry between you and Marlene has been one-of-a-kind and now, suddenly, you're throwing it all away. The thought of losing her fills you with overwhelming anguish, but you know you can't carry on like this.

“This is wrong.” you could just say that. You wanted to scream that you love her, but you couldn’t. You knew Marlene wasn’t that kind of a person. You wish she were.. The idea of telling Marlene your true feelings was unbearable. For so long, you had kept your thoughts and feelings to yourself, afraid of being rejected. You were tired of being silent and hiding your feelings. You wanted to scream the truth and show Marlene just how much she means to you. But you were also terrified of losing the special connection you shared with Marlene, one that was so unique and filled with passion and excitement.

Marlene stares at you in disbelief, her anger and fear mounting with every word you say. She feels a wave of frustration and sadness washing over her, filled with confusion and disbelief. She doesn't understand what's going on, but she knows that something is wrong. A part of her wants to lash out, but a deeper part of her is frightened by what is happening. She wants to shout back and demand answers, but she is afraid of what she will find. "What the hell are you talking about?!" Marlene's words erupt from her in a burst of fury, the frustration and rage building up inside her until she could no longer keep it bottled up. She stares at you with a look of anger and anger, her eyes bearing deep into yours. “We hooked up every damn night and suddenly you decided it’s wrong?” Marlene stares at you in disbelief, her anger and fear mounting with every word you say.

"It's not that simple," you say, your stomach knotting with a sense of fear and guilt. You can feel your face flushing with humiliation "It's not just the sex or the hooking up. I've developed feelings for you. I know that sounds stupid," you continue, your words stumbling over themselves as you stare directly into her eyes. "I know it's just casual and it was never supposed to be more than that. But I've started liking you and I don't know what to do now." You feel completely overwhelmed by the situation, your emotions running wild as you try to explain yourself to her. "You probably think I'm a fool for ever coming to you with feelings," you say, your heart pounding in your chest. "I've tried to keep these feelings buried, but I can't hide them anymore. I want more than just physical intimacy. I want all of you. I want to be your partner and not just a hookup. But i know you don’t want that, you have always been clear with me.”

Marlene listens to you, a look of shock and surprise filling her face. Her anger has dissipated and is now replaced by a deep sense of sadness as she realizes that you have fallen in love with her. She stares at you for a moment, taking in every word and processing all the emotions that you have revealed to her. Her expression changes to one of empathy and regret. She is silent for a few moments. You can tell that she is feeling a mix of emotions, her mind and heart battling with one another. She loves the idea of being with you, but she doesn't want to risk losing what she has or getting hurt in the process. She is torn between wanting to express her feelings and the fear of rejection and heartbreak.

You felt humiliated. You just wanted to leave there. “Congratulations.” you said before pushing her from you. Marlene grabbed your wrist lightly as you tried to leave, her grip not tense but enough to hold you in place. Her grip feels like a gentle embrace, not restrictive at all. "Don't go," she says quietly, her eyes meeting yours. She seemed genuinely overwhelmed with all the emotion that you have unleashed on her. Marlene: "Congratulations?" She repeats the word softly, her words filled with disbelief. "You're really congratulating me?" She looks at you with a slight grin on her face. She can't help but think how sweet it is that you're happy for her. “You’re an important part of my life, and I don’t want to lose you either. The truth is, I’ve been grappling with my own feelings, and maybe I haven’t been as clear as I should’ve been. I care about you a lot, and I’ve realized that my feelings go beyond just friendship. I love you too.”

You looked came closer to her and kiss her. The hot kiss burnt with desire and passion, your lips locked together in a passionate embrace. You can feel the heat of her breath on your skin and you want to sink into it. Her tongue slides and flicks against yours, her lips exploring your mouth and tasting the sweetness of all of your desires. The warmth of your bodies is building into a boiling torrent of excitement and you feel like you're both on the edge of something incredible. Your hearts are beating with a fierce desire to be close and to explore every inch of your bodies.

“Marls, come here they gonna make us a show! And find Y/N too!” James's voice echoes through the hallway as he calls out to them. Marlene and you break away from the intense kiss and laugh lightly as you pull away. Marlene's cheeks are flushed with a deep red hue and she's slightly out of breath. When she hears James's voice calling out to them, she chuckles lightly and then smiles at you.

“We are coming!” she responded back and grabbed your hand.

Sunday-Side-Up; James Potter 🍳

summary: you’re worried on the morning after a hookup with your friend, James

word count: 2.3K

warnings: pg-13 smut, sexually implicit content, fem!r, beefy/gym!james, pre-relationship, getting together, hurt/comfort(ish), fluff

note: this is technically an addition to Sunday, another gym!james fic that I wrote, but u can read it as a standalone if u wish! u can find the request here

An egg simmers and pops in the buttery pan on the stove, mirroring your calamitous heart. It’s all you can look at. A rogue explosion of butter lands on the skin of your hand, but you hardly even flinch, just staring and staring at the pristine yolk in its sea of bubbling white.

Back in your room, harbored by your stuffed animals and rumpled sheets, is your good friend, James. Though you aren’t sure if you could call him as such anymore, considering the less-than-friendly activities you’d partaken in the night before.

How had you let yourself cave like that?

Outside, the sun is calmly rising, paying no mind to your frivolous human thoughts. It scores over the trees surrounding your apartment and lands sharp and warm on your cheeks. You ignore it as best you can, putting all the early energy you have into protecting the little sun you’re cooking.

Your attraction for James was never much of a secret, nor was his for you, but you always assumed there was nothing to be done about it. He’s one of your best friends and most coveted confidants, and losing him includes losing the other two of him, too. It was a silent agreement, you thought.

Until last night, of course, when he’d finally broken and asked to kiss you over a box of takeout.

“I really can’t stand to be alone with you and sit on opposite sides of the couch and pretend that that’s normal,” said James, one hand fisted over his knee. “I feel I’ve gone mad, a bit, trying to dance around this.”

You’d have liked to say you found that a little bit dramatic, but you felt the same way. Being with James was like walking on eggshells, sometimes. Even though you felt quite at home with him, there were still boundaries to maintain. You constantly had to double back, to reel yourself in before you said something too flirty or touched him longer than was necessary. It was exhausting and disappointing. You were tired of being disappointed.

So upon your permission, James had followed you to your room, and he hadn’t held back.

You can’t say you regret it, but you’re certainly worrying. There’s reasons you had boundaries in place, reasons that both you and James resisted the magnetism that pulls you together, and they’re all in the wind now.

If you lost James, lost your friendship…

Carried away with emotions, you push at your fried egg too hard, shaking the buoyant yolk out of its membrane.

“No,” you whine, gripping the offending spatula in your hand. It’s all you can do to watch the yolk seep over the crispy whites surrounding it, spilling onto the hot pan with a sizzle.

“What’s a’matter?”

Your eyes whip over to the kitchen entryway, finding James in a sick state of undress, a pair of boxers low on his hips and glasses crooked where they perch on his nose. Like he’d gotten up to find you before getting dressed, hardly remembering he’d need glasses to do so.

You tell yourself you’re projecting, returning your greedy gaze to the sad situation on the stove. James’ broad chest and muscled thighs creep into the back of your mind for safekeeping anyway.

He comes up behind you, peering easily over your shoulder to gauge what the problem is.

“I broke the yolk,” you tell him, as if it’s not obvious.

James grunts darkly, as if to agree that this is a very grave occurrence. Still, his voice is as comforting as it is gravelly when he responds.

“Well, flip that one and it can be mine. I don’t like sunny-side.”

Turning to glance up at him, you frown. “I thought you did?” You could swear you’ve seen him eat his eggs that way before.

Lips pursing in a shy almost-smile, James relents. “Well, yes, I do. But not strictly. I’ll eat whatever—‘specially if you make it.”

You turn your frown back to the pan, saying nothing. James takes the moment of silence to wrap his arms around your waist, pulling your back flush against his bare chest. The sleep shirt you’d thrown on feels thinner than the broken yolk membrane, letting all of James’ warmth strike you right in the heart. It’s almost too much for you to handle.

Correction, it is too much for you to handle.

Reaching down, you peel James’ hands off of your torso, wincing the whole way through. He backs off, easily taking the hint, but when you glance his way he looks befuddled.

“Um.” James averts his gaze to the floor, clearly knocked down by your rejection. “Have I misread something?”

“No, I’m sorry, I—“

You sigh, realizing this discussion needs more attention than you currently have to spare. In quick movements, you flick the stove burner off and move the pan to one that’s not hot, and then you turn your full effect on James.

Standing in front of you, undressed and muscled and reproachful, James looks embarrassed beyond measure.

“It’s nothing you did, James, I just—I’m not sure last night should’ve happened, is all.”

Picking at your lips worriedly, you await his response, but it’s nothing like you expect. You thought he’d turn sly or charming, convince you that it was worthwhile. James’ eyes blow wide and concerned instead.

“You didn’t want to?” The dread in his voice is thick, knocking you back with the sheer force of it. You almost reach out to comfort him, but think better of it.

“James, of course I did, yes. I wanted to.”

James’ broad shoulders relax from their anxious hunch, but his guarded posture still remains.

“What, then? You didn’t enjoy it?”

You huff. “No, James. Will you stop putting words into my mouth? Of course I enjoyed it, it was—“

You pause, trying to describe exactly how it was, but then shake the entire thought off, realizing you’re getting sidelined. James looks hesitantly amused at your clear flush, the short reminiscing enough to fluster you.

“It doesn’t matter,” you assert. “We can’t do it again.”

“We can’t?” James asks, but it sounds more like a challenge.

“No, we can’t. It’d be irresponsible. There’s a reason we held off on this, and you know it.”

“I know why I held off,” says James, and he’s stepping closer, to your dismay. “Why did you, sweetness?”

Your heart lodges in your throat, set off by his name calling and proximity. Bum pressing back against the counter, you suspect the only way to ward James off now is with a long, pointy stick, threateningly waved back and forth.

“Because,” you start, mouth dry, “it would ruin our friendship.”

A laugh booms forth from James’ throat, making you dizzy. You can’t help but watch his chest shake with it, his boxer elastic slipping ever-so-slightly lower, revealing more coarse hair and golden skin.

“Well,” James says, calling your attention back to his face, “I should hope so. I don’t want to be your friend, love. I thought I made that clear last night.”

You open your mouth and then shut it again. This time, you don’t redirect your thoughts as they amble back to the way James touched you last night, to the overwhelming sensation of finally having him, of being had.

James’ hands find purchase on the counter behind you, caging you between his arms, and you’re sure he knows exactly where your mind’s gone.

“Is that what you want, hm?” he asks, voice rasping with pure desire. “To be friends?”

You swallow. James’ heady scent is spilling over you in waves, which you typically have no trouble with, but you're not prepared for your smells to waft off of him, too. One night in your bed and he’s covered in you, head to toe. You can’t deny how much you enjoy the thought.

He’s so fit. It’s all you can think about with his tanned chest in front of your face, his big arms skimming yours. You know James likes the gym, but you never expected him to look like this.

Now that you’ve touched him, it’s like a dam broke inside you for good. It’s all too easy to reach for him, brushing light fingertips over his soft stomach and his v-line, the happy trail that’s bewitched you.

Finally, your hands push up, up, up his chest, over his pecs and shoulders until you’re looking into his expectant gaze. Had he said something?

“No,” you mumble, voice distracted. “No, I don’t want to be friends.” An incredulous laugh escapes you. “Obviously.”

“Obviously,” James repeats, grinning like a child with candy.

You run your hands down his front again, intoxicated with the feel of him under your fingers.

“I guess I’m just a little worried about how this will change things,” you tell him, anchoring yourself to his waist. Pulling him closer.

“It doesn’t have to change anything, if we don’t want it to.”

That makes you smile a bit, his talking about the two of you like a pair, a unit. Still, it’s misguided.

“That’s a bit naive, don’t you think? I mean, something’s changed.” You make a point to emphasize the state you’re both in, the proximity.

James grins wickedly. “Well, that’s the good stuff, love. I only meant we don’t have to tell Remus or Sirius, at least until we’re ready. We don’t even have to go on dates, if you don’t want. We can just be like really, really good friends.”

This simultaneously makes you want to laugh and cry. Your expression settles on what is probably pensive, or indistinguishable.

“I’d want to go on dates…,” you mumble, suddenly feeling very bashful.

James’ whole demeanor seems to flip on its head. Before, he was feigning casualty, like he’d be down for anything. Now he’s all business, locked in on you.

“Yeah?” James asks, his voice unbearably tender. His hands abandon the counter for your hips, kneading the soft skin hidden under your sleep shirt.

“Yeah,” you confirm, breathless. “James, I want this to be more than sex.”

Brows furrowing, James levels you with a curious look.

“Is that what this is about? You think I only want to shag you?”

Embarrassed, you start to shrink away from his examining eyes, only to remember he has you cornered. You settle for the alternative and shove your face into the crook of his neck, groaning.

“Don’t tease me about this, James. Not this.”

“Not teasing, lovely, no. I only want to understand.” James' hand takes up in your hair, spinning it around his fingers and releasing it again and again. His voice is a calm wash now, quiet and raspy. “Is that what had you so worried?”

Reluctantly, you nod as best you can without braining yourself on his jaw or yanking your hair in his grip. James clicks his tongue.

“Can I have a look at you?”

His hand encourages your head back carefully, until his hazel eyes have yours pinned under them, like moths under a kitchen glass. Your face fits between his palms, hot-cheeked and sensitive, hoping he’ll say something to make you feel like less of a fool.

“D’you know why I didn’t try to do this before?” James doesn’t let you answer, bulldozing right through with a nervous sort of energy. “It’s ‘cause I knew I didn’t deserve you. I mean—what?”

You can’t stop your laugh. You’re doubled over into James’ shoulder again, laughing like a prick while he’s trying to be vulnerable with you, but honestly, could you blame yourself?

“What are you talking about, ‘not deserving’ me? You’re so bizarre.” You pull back from him, rosy and amused. Despite being made fun of, James seems to be in light spirits, smiling along with you.

“What’s so bizarre about it? You’re gorgeous and funny and good for me and I don’t deserve it.” He shrugs. “Anyone with eyes can see that.”

“I’m good for you, am I?” you repeat oddly, feeling admittedly tingly and giddy from his admission.

“Well, yeah, love. You make me happy.” James’ voice drops a decibel, dangerously sweet and whispered close to your lips. “Even when you’re laughing at me while I tear my chest apart to make you feel better.”

That only makes you laugh again, and this time James presses his smiling mouth over yours.

You soak in his kiss, coaxing his bed-warm body as close to yours as possible until you’re two sides of the same coin. James pushes his hands further up the back of your shirt, relishing in the expanse of bare skin there, and you take his bottom lip between your teeth in response.

Heaving a sound between a laugh and a moan, James takes his bitten mouth down your throat, laving over marks he’d left mere hours before.

You tilt your head, happy to give him more access, only to find your sorry abandoned egg where you’d left it.

“Oh, we forgot about breakfast,” you stress, reaching for the stove with no real purpose. James catches your hand to bring back to your scene together.

“Forget about it,” he mumbles into your skin, “I’ll cook you som’thin later. Right now I want you back in bed.”

You hum, easily agreeing, though you can’t help your other needs, even as James hikes your legs up and around his waist.

“A sunny side egg, please? With jam on toast?”

Laughing into your mouth, James walks you both out of the kitchen blindly.

“Yeah, pretty girl, whatever you want.”

He aims for another kiss, hot and barreling fast around the corner into carnal, but you pull back one more time before he can get carried away.

“And James?”

“Yeah?”

You can’t believe how handsome and strong he is, or that his strength and good looks are quickly becoming yours to enjoy. Splaying a wide hand over his cheek, you make sure he catches the full weight of your next statement, sweetly murmured into his reddened lips.

“You make me happy, too.”

James’ responding smile outshines the rising sun.

— Annoying Serenading

remus lupin x reader

the marauders x platonic!reader

where James and Sirius decide to interrupt your precious time with Remus by serenading you both.

a/n: no warnings, just fluff, annoying Sirius and James, Peter done with their shit, and Remus being perfect. ( he’s an angry werewolf that’s also done with the two boys )

“Remus, can I borrow this when I’m done reading mine?” You asked the tall werewolf that was coming out of the shower with nothing but a towel over his slim scarred waist.

You had your eyes on Remus’s copy of Crime and Punishment. He had always preferred more intellectual books rather than your fantasy and romance novels.

Not that he judged you for it. He found it cute how you gushed over dragons and found it funny how you complained about the oblivious nature of the characters.

“course you can dovey,” he replied, rubbing a towel in his hair. “I thought you didn’t like books like that?” He asked turning to get dressed.

You sighed, putting the worn out book back on his nightstand and finally turning to him. “I don’t have an opinion on them and plus,” you pointed to him with a grin. “I’ve read Dorian Grey,” you shrugged.

Remus turned to you with a pointed look, now wearing his pants. “You said it was boring and that they used the word ‘languidly’ too much.”

You shook your head, “no, I don’t recall ever.. really.. saying that so,” you trailed off as he seemed to be looking for something.

“You must be wrong, the hell are you looking for memus?” You asked leaning off the bed and gazing down at him as he looked under his bed.

His voice was strained as he answered, “my red shirt,” he sat up to his knees and faced you. “Y’know the one with the little hole by the neck.” He gestured.

You let out a small ‘oh’ and turned to lay on your stomach, head resting on your arms and feet gently kicking in the air.

“Y’know you don’t really neeed a shirt.”

Remus leaned forward and rested his arms on the bed, leaning his face forward with a small grin. “How many times have I told you to stop taking my clothes if you're not going to give them back?”

A sheepish smile crossed your face, “as many times as you told me not to call you memus?”

“You’re wearing one now!” He pointed out with a laugh.

He stood up with a groan at his bad knees, “why do you insist on calling me that anyway?”

“I don’t know, it’s funny seeing you get annoyed by it.”

He nodded as if he was taking in your answer. “Y’know what I find rather funny?”

He crawled on the bed and you fell back as he climbed over you and started pressing chaste kissed on your neck.

“What?” You asked breathlessly, preparing yourself for more.

“This!” He tickled your sides earning a shriek of laughter from you.

“No! Stop!” You cackled maniacally as he held your legs down with his and dodged your arms that were trying to get his hands off.

“Call me my name!” He shouted and he paused momentarily to hear you.

“Memus,” you giggled, only for him to tickle you with new found enthusiasm.

Remus smiled widely and let out small laughs, contrary to your loud laughs.

“Ok ok! Remus!” You rested your hands on his bare chest and he stopped his tickling as you attempted to catch your breath.

You gazed up at him, small laughs still escaping the both of you as you stared into his pretty eyes and brought one of your hands up to trace his scar.

Remus suddenly shot forward and kissed you with such force and passion that it made you dizzy.

Your lips molded with his, his big hands went up your his shirt, and your hands busied themselves in his damp hair as his tounge fought for dominance that you easily gave into.

His large frame then nestled comfortably in between your thighs and he started moving his hips slightly, crotch rubbing into yours and unbuttoned jeans falling down.

“Merlin, you’re perfect.” He rasped.

Remus started trailing kissed down your neck, leaving darkening hickies in his wake and started sucking one under your jaw.

A small moan came from you as his grinding got progressively rougher. “Remus.”

His hands moved from your waist to grab your hands, pinning them down, kissing you— “Carry on, my wayward son!”

You both parted confused, breathing heavily at the dim sound of a radio progressively getting louder.

There'll be peace when you are done. Lay your weary head to rest.

Remus groaned in realization, letting out a loud ‘no’ and dropping his weight on top of you, burying his face into your chest.

“Don’t you cry no more!”

The door slammed open and Sirius and James sauntered into the room. Sirius playing the air guitar and James holding a large muggle radio, and Peter following, looking pissed.

Rene’s lifted his head and one of his long arms. “No! James, Sirius, get out!”

He earned no reply and you leaned to remus’s nightstand from under him and got him one of his shirts, knowing that although the boys would never judge him, he was never fully comfortable being shirtless around them.

“They’ve been at it all bloody day!” Peter snarled as Remus got off you and put on a shirt, simultaneously shouting something incoherent to the loud boys and making sure you were properly covered.

“Ahhh ahhh,” Sirius slowly rose on his bed, “Once I rose above the noise and confusion!” He sang with his arms held out at his sides on top of his bed.

James pointed to him, “Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion.”

The whole thing was very dramatic as the two looked like star crossed lovers.

“Pete, can you please get them out?” You asked sitting up and Remus threw himself backwards on the bed.

The blonde boy shook his head, “no, no! I’ve had to deal with that—” he pointed to the duo that now stood on Sirius’s bed together.

“Though my eyes could see, I still was a blind man,” the two stood holding hands with one arm still outstretched and facing you and Remus, serenading the both of you.

“All fucking day, it’s your turn!” He yelled and threw himself back on the bed with crossed arms as the two other boys jumped off the bed.

“I could hear them say, Carry on, my wayward son!” They belted out loudly.

There'll be peace when you are done

Lay your weary head to rest

Don't you cry no more

James decided to play air drums and Sirius chose the air guitar again.

“Stop it! James, Sirius! Get the fuck out!” Remus yelled gesturing to the door as you let out a breath and decided to lay back down.

Yeah, you and Remus were not continuing your activities.

Peter shook his head at the werewolf, “No, No!” He brought a rock sign with his fingers. “Rock on!”

Remus groaned loudly, “Peter, don’t encourage them! Are you bloody mad?”

Peter crawled to his knees, eyes wide, looking every bit like a mad man,“after being serenaded this morning with Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive,’ yes! Yes! I’ve gone bloody mad!”

You let out a loud laugh at that, knowing Remus slept over at your dorm the night before.

And if I claim to be a wise man, well

It surely means that I don't know

You decided to sing along earning another loud grumble from Remus. Damn them, he thought knowing that your activities would not be happening.

“But I hear the voices say,” you sang along with the two boys, James bobbing his head with yours.

“Carry on, my wayward son!” You all belted out and Peter sat back with a satisfied hum as he had successfully ruined Remus’s fun time, and slipped on some headphones to try and block out the noise.

Remus watched you three with a wicked scowl plastered on his pretty face. As you three pointed at each other with wide smiles.

“Don't you cry no more, no!” You all played air guitar this time and Remus could hear you imitate the guitar with your voice.

He finally let out a small exasperated chuckle with a shake of his head as James kneeled in front of you and played air piano with his curls a crazy mess.

 Study Motivation (james Potter)

"i thought you said you had an assignment due?"

james stands in the doorway to your bedroom, toned arms folded across his bare chest.

"i do," you admit, not looking up at him. you don't even bother to lift your head from where it's resting in your hands, laptop long forgotten in front of you.

you know that your assignment is important. james also knows that your assignment is important, as you were complaining about it to him just the other day, moaning that four thousand words was an almost criminally unjust word count to request for one assignment. yet for some reason, you still can't bring yourself to work on it.

you're three hundred or so words in, and the stress is beginning to build. your mind is screaming at you to just stick it out and get your head down, but for some reason, you don't move. all you can do is worry about how little work you're doing, an infuriating cycle that you have no idea how to break.

james seems to sense your dilemma and pads into your room. he hums softly, resting his chin on the top of your head so he can scan the word document left open on your screen. an, admittedly impressive, essay plan stares back at him, accompanied by the beginning of your introduction. taking in just how complex your subject seems to be, he resists the urge to let out a low whistle or remark, not wanting to stress you out further.

you whine as his chin digs into your scalp, lifting your head in an effort to protest. james only grins.

"there, i got you to sit up, love. that's a start, right?"

"suppose so," you grumble, before wincing at your harsh tone.

you aren't upset at james, but annoyed at yourself for being stuck in a rut that should be so easy to get out of. the answer to your problem is clear: complete your assignment, and the stress will leave with it. still, the task seems impossible, and tears prick the corner of your eyes as the frustration builds.

"hey, hey, no tears, sweetheart."

james cups your face in his strong, warm hands as his thumbs delicately brush your cheekbones. he gnaws at the inside of his cheek for a moment, a tell tale sign that he's planning something, before he speaks up.

"okay, here's what we're going to do."

"we?"

"we." james confirms. "i am gonna go make you a cup of tea, because mum always told me that fixes everything."

your laugh takes a weight off of his shoulders.

"and when i get back, 'm gonna sit with you, and we'll get this done together. you already have your plan, yeah?"

you nod with a slight sniffle, and james presses a soft kiss to your nose.

"then we're already halfway there." james traces your cheek with his thumb once more before moving to stand up, chucking your chin as he does so. "give me two seconds, love."

"thank you, jamie," you say, unable to hold back a fond smile. "y'always know how to make things better."

james shrugs cheekily, sending you a wink and ruffling your hair. "what can i say, love? i'm magic."

it's me. i'm sirius.

sirius likes being kissed on his forehead.

it makes him feel appreciated and seen, something he wanted to be long time ago at his family's home. the gesture itself is so kind and warm to him, he likes closing his eyes to live through the moment.

the first time you kissed sirius on his forehead, he almost teared up.

you were smiling, a soft sound came from your lips. the movie you were watching has been long forgotten by sirius, he was busy listening your heartbeat from his place on your chest. your fingers played with his thick curls, you kept your eyes on the screen.

sirius was curled up on your side, his face was buried closer to your neck. he decided he liked the intimacy he had with you, he didn't feel shy or upset about how he wanted to be close to you every minute. he made a little sound of deep breath, your perfume covered his senses.

you looked down, pushed his hair back with gentle fingers. his eyes were closed, he looked peaceful. you leaned in slightly to press your lips on his forehead.

the kiss took longer than you expected, you took in a breath while your mouth was pressed on him. you were fond of him, you gave him a second kiss on the spot between his eyebrows. he visibly relaxed under the kiss, you saw how the wrinkles got disappeared. you kissed him again, on the same spot. sirius's hands tightened around your waist and he fell asleep with the weight of his blurry emotions.

ever since that day, you make sure of giving him a kiss on his lovely face any time you want. you enjoy the smiles he rewards you with. you enjoy how warm his skin is, how inviting. you fill the stolen minutes of a stressful day with kisses, firmly pressed on his forehead, and sirius gives in. he holds on to your waist, puts his head on your shoulder and waits for you to tell him how everything will be alright.

Remus betrays Sirius for a cuddle and a nap

poly!maruaders x gn!reader (but it's actually just wolfstar) | fluff | 191 words cw: none

“Look Moons, the babies are sleeping.”

Remus raises his gaze from his book to see his two lovers snuggled up with one another on the couch. James lay on his back, one arm cushioning his head and the other holding you to his chest. He’s snoring, as he does, and your head rises and falls to the rhythm of his breaths.

Remus claps his book shut and hands it to Sirius curled up beside him. Sirius’ brows furrow as if he were presented with an alien object, which- well, perhaps he was. He’s soon distracted when Remus stands from the armchair- his boyfriend whines and grabs at him- and moseys across the living room. Despairingly, Sirius watches as Remus slides his arm under James’ body and adds his own legs to the entanglement of limbs.

“Moony- Moony!” Sirius whisper-shouts, upper body splayed pathetically on the floor. “Moony come here; I’m cold; there’s no space for you anyway.”

“Nonsense.” Remus replies, as his entire butt falls off the edge of the couch.

Sirius huffs indignantly. He glares a moment before opening Remus’ book, tossing the bookmark but noting the page number. “Traitor.”

Sweeter Than Fiction

James Potter x muggle fem!reader

Summary: After months of dating, James finally tells you he's a wizard.

Genre: Fluff <3

pt.2 to Enchanted

Warnings: tbh none

Sweeter Than Fiction

6 months later, James is sprawled out on your couch in your small London apartment. He's dressed in your university sweater, which hugs him snugly but he doesn't seem like he minds. You'd switched into his so he doesn't have much of a choice anyway.

He's pretending to really read the book he had found on your dresser but he keeps his eyes trained on how absorbed you seem in the show you're watching.

James sees the title; "Sabrina The Teenage Witch". He smiles to himself when he sees you try and wiggle your nose like she does and you fall back onto James lap, sighing.

"D'you think I'd make a good witch?" you ask suddenly and his heart almost collapses.

He runs a hand in your hair, playing with the strands as he ponders your question, "Mmm, yeah, you would, lovie," he says and chuckles when you sit up and start to ramble.

"I mean, can you just imagine having magic! I could–I could make all this mess disappear instantly!" you exclaim happily, gesturing to your slightly messy apartment, and then look into his eyes, "wouldn't having magic be fun, Jamie?"

James frowns. You say it so innocently but he starts to wonder if you could know? It has been months.

He sits up, tilting his head at you. He's been wanting to tell you he's a wizard for a while now, plus James wouldn't admit this out loud yet but he knows he wants to marry you and you deserve to know the truth before he asks you to spend your life with him, don't you?

"Y/n," he whispers but you interrupt him.

"And I mean, flying on a broom! How silly! Can't you just imagine it?"

James smiles, completely endeared, "Yeah, I can," he tucks some hair behind your ear and reaches into the back pocket of his jeans. He pulls out his wallet and you stare at him confused as he holds out a folded old polaroid. He hands it to you.

"What's this?" you ask curiously, crossing your legs.

At first, it looks like a simple picture of a group of boys. There are four of them and they look around sixteen if you had to guess. The tallest has his arms crossed and he's standing in the middle as the boy to his right, a shorter boy with long dark hair, has his arm swung around him. A short, stout boy looks timidly at the camera next to the taller one and next to him, what looks like a young James is happily grinning and holding up a fancy looking broom in triumph. James and the longer-haired boy are dressed in a maroon and yellow sports uniform while the other boys are dressed in simple school uniforms.

The picture seems relatively normal for a second until it starts to move. James in the picture lifts the  broom and the long-haired boy continues to hug the taller one. You gasp, dropping the picture onto the couch and it flutters to the back where you see written, "Prongs, Wormtail, Moony, and Padfoot, Hogwarts 1976."

"What the hell?" you whisper, voice breaking, and you think you must be imagining things. You look up at James, who is staring at you intently. "James? W-why did that polaroid just move?" you ask and James's stare softens.

He picks up the polaroid and smiles, he shows it to you again. "That's me and my best friends at school," he says but when he looks at you, his smile falters. You look terrified, "Love, it's okay it's just a picture."

"No, it isn't. It's moving!" you say, leaning away from him a little.

James's chest tightens. "I know," he says seriously, "Promise not to panic, okay? But, I'm a wizard."

He says it so calmly you're silent for a moment until you start to laugh. You laugh so hard tears brim in your eyes and James is concerned.

He holds your cheeks in his hands. "No, Y/n, I mean it. I'm a wizard," he stands and walks to his jean-jacket hanging in the entrance. He pulls out his wand and points it at you.

You look scared again when he mutters an unfamiliar word and suddenly, you feel a drizzle of snow fall over your shoulders and unless your ceiling disappeared and it's snowing in July, you know it has to be James.

You let out a shriek and cover your mouth as your eyes widen. James lowers his wand and rushes over, the snow disappearing. "It's okay. I promise I won't hurt you, lovie," he pauses and carefully sits next to you. He's relieved when don't scoot away from him, "I couldn't keep this from you anymore. I love you. You deserve to know who I am."

You're looking at him intensely and you pick up the polaroid again, examining it closer. After a moment you look up and narrow your eyes. You press your index on where James is in the picture. "Why are you holding a broom?" you ask simply and James almost laughs.

"Gryffindor had just won an important Quidditch match, I think."

"Gryff-what won what?"

"Um, my house- um. Quidditch it's a sport. Where you—um, ride a broom."

You look at him and James can't read your expression.

"You can fly on a broom?" you suddenly ask, sounding less nervous now. You look at the picture and then you crack a smile. "You do look cute all dressed up," you put the polaroid near his ear, almost as if you're making sure the boy in the picture is actually James.

Your boyfriend nods and looks at you wearily, biting his lip. He has so much he wants to say. "So, have you always been a witch—" you ask.

"Wizard," he interrupts but you ignore him.

"—or did some creepy troll turn you into one? Oh my, are you the only witch to exist?" you sound almost excited now.

"Wizard," James says and then takes the picture from your hand and holds yours in his. "And no. I'm not. All my friends and family are. You believe me, yeah?"

You think for a moment. "Yeah," you shrug, looking up at the ceiling and then the wand in James's other hand, "you did make it snow, didn't you?" your smile widens and you point at his wand as you say, "Can you make it snow again! Or show me another spell. Please?"

James hesitates but when he sees a small scab on your hand from where you'd cut yourself earlier, he mutters a spell he knows by heart from all the Quidditch tumbles he's had and the wound suddenly disappears.

Your eyes widen and you hold up your palm awkwardly. You look where the scab had been, mesmerized as you run your fingers over the now, non-existent, wound.

"I know this is a lot for you to understand now, lovie. But, I want to explain everything. Anything you want to know," he says seriously and you look back up at him.

You ask question after question, the reality of the situation becoming even more intense as you hear stories from his school and how unfamiliar he had been about "muggles" until he'd met his ex-girlfriend and then, well, you.

"So, wait, witches and wizards exist and we– muggles? –just don't know?" you say after his little speech and James nods. He's sitting criss-cross in front of you on your couch and he's running his thumb over your hand, hoping his gesture is reassuring. You look confused, "Aren't you gonna get in trouble with the—"

"Ministry of Magic for telling you?" James finishes, understanding what you're trying to ask him.

You nod.

James shakes his head and looks into your eyes. "No, because I didn't just tell anyone. You aren't some random person on the street, lovie. You're my girlfriend and I love you. I'm glad you know," he kisses your forehead quickly and you lean up to catch his lips.

"I'm glad I know too," you smile and caress his cheek. It's your way of showing him you don't see him any differently. You turn to the polaroid picture still in your lap and pick it up. "I can't wait to meet more of your wizard friends now," you smile.

James smirks, a twinkle in his eyes. "You already have, darling," he says.

You look closer at the picture and your eyes widen, "No way!" you exclaim looking up at James in disbelief as you start to recognize two of the other boys in the picture. "Remy and Siri too?!"

James chuckles and nods. You turn the polaroid over again and look at the names scribbled in ink. "Then what's up with the weird nicknames? Prongs? Is that you?" you deduce from the order.

James hums and kisses your temple as he pulls you in closer.

"Why Prongs?" you ask, pointing both your index fingers and putting them on your head, "like little devil horns? Or a fork?" you giggle at the last suggestion and James is entirely enchanted by you.

He looks at you fondly and chuckles, "Like stag antlers, lovie."

"Why?"

"Because I can turn into a stag, if I wanted to," James explains slowly, realizing he'd forgotten to mention that tiny detail.

"You WhAT?!"

Time Turner

Word Count: 4,230 words

Warnings: cursing, fluff, and some bickering between the two groups

December 6th, 1976. The East Wing. 11:37 pm.

Her hand had a tight grip on her wand, eyeing the empty corridor. The corridor looked different to her, it looked not nearly as weathered. No matter how much she prayed over and over hoping it was all a coincidence, she knew nothing would change the outcome of the situation. Not too long ago she was standing by the Greenhouses with a group of friends, twirling a necklace that they had found out by the Forbidden Forest. Next thing you know, she was left outside by herself, the necklace clutched in her hand. Diana wasn't stupid, she knew that the necklace they were messing with was a time turner. Which is why she took it upon herself to let the cool metal rest against her neck in case anything had happened. And something indeed, did happen.

"Lumos" She whispered, almost wincing at the harsh light coming from the wand. The light blue hue emitting from the tip of her wand lit up the corridor, making it easier for her to find her way down the hallway without bumping into any unknown objects. She slowly advanced forward, recognizing where she was at almost straight away, a reassuring smile making its way onto her face.

The small sounds coming from the end of the corridor calmed her down, knowing she was close to the Herbology classroom. Diana was rather fond of going there in her free time with a classmate of hers; Neville Longbottom. Neville was one of the sweetest guys in her grade, clumsiest, but sweetest nonetheless. At the mention of her friends name she felt a pang in her heart, knowing she was far from home and seeing her friends seemed like a silver lining in this night. The second she had muttered the counterspell, darkness engulfed her vision, a loud thump was heard further down the hall making her freeze up.

"Padfoot! You said the coast was clear-"

"-it was! Stop being so loud, it could be a professor for Godric's sa-"

"-SHH... I think I see someone"

The sound of bickering male voices echoed throughout the empty corridor, sent the curly haired witch into a frenzy, ducking underneath the dark oak bench resting on a nearby wall. Diana nuzzled her way underneath the bench pressing herself as close as possible to the wall, holding back a gasp at how cold stone felt against her burning skin. Her hand was tightly wrapped around her wand waiting for the set of footsteps to pass by, but they never came.

"Who's there?" A voice let out, shortly after they had spoken a loud grunt followed. She felt her eyes bulge out of her head as four set of feet appeared a couple feet away from the bench in the blink of an eye, confusion making its way onto her face. Diana gripped her wand tighter, nearly letting out a yelp as a pebble embedded itself into the soft flesh of her cheek, wiping away at her face as quietly as she could holding her breath.

"Peter, you're insufferable. We don't go around asking to get expelled. I would much rather students not know about us, I have a reputation to obtain." From her position under the bench she could barely make out their faces, but she still noted that the one on the far left was the one speaking. From what she could tell, he was tall but he wasn't as tall as the two boys standing on either side of him. She caught sight of an even shorter guy, unlike the pudgy boy who was only an two or three inches shorter than the tallest, he seemed the one closer to her height.

"Let's go inside before Moony here passes out from exhaustion"

"I'm not even tired Pads-"

"-shut it, Moonsey. You're tired."

She let out slight sound that resembled a cough, instantly tensing up pressing her face onto the cold stone floor. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Who the hell put all this dust here, she thought to herself angrily tugging her hair out of from underneath her chest, trying to let her hair cover her face as much as possible. The laughter coming from the four boys faded, a long silence quickly filled the corridor. She mentally cursed herself once again, tugging her robes closer to her body, seeing a set of footsteps come closer to her.

"Homenum Revelio" She let out a small squeal, feeling her body being tugged out from underneath the bench, like a hand had wrapped around her entire body, her skirt riding up her thighs. She immediately pulled down the thick fabric of the skirt, scrambling up onto her feet rubbing her thighs painfully as they had rubbed onto the stone floor rather harshly. Her hands brushed away small strands of hair that had managed to fall onto her face, eyeing the four dark silhouettes standing menacingly in front of her.

Lumos, she thought to herself, letting the light shine towards them. Her breath got stuck in her throat as she saw their faces, nearly freezing up as she locked eyes with the spitting image of Harry Potter. One of the guys was sporting dark brown hair, that fell a little above his shoulders in perfect semi curls. His features were sharp, and his eyes pierced into hers, a mischievous glint in his eyes. The guy standing next to him had bright hazel colored eyes, small hints of grey swirled in there, hidden behind the infamous pair of round glasses, his messy black hair splayed in all sorts of different directions. Huh, I just thought Harry hated fixing his hair.

Beside him was the guy she assumed to be her height, but he surprisingly was about 4 inches taller than her with fairly blonde hair, and big green eyes. His cheeks were slightly rosy and covered in faint freckles, but his overall appearance made him look fairly young compared to his friends. The one whose eyes had caught her attention were watching with such curiosity, his big eyes were glossed over with sleep, but they still looked absolutely breathtaking. Long, pale white scars scattered his face, along with a number of freckles splattered on his cheeks.

"Why were you hiding underneath the bench?" The shorter guy muttered, his voice surprisingly deeper than she had expected making her eyebrows raise a bit. This guy was just full of surprises, she waved her wand around in a series of tiny circles, letting small spurts of fire reach all lamps in the hall. A warmth spread throughout the seemingly cold corridor making her relax slightly, running her tongue over her bottom braces out of habit. Carefully tucking her wand into her robes, making sure not to let her guard down around the four of them.

"No particular reason. But what I will tell you is that I'm waiting to hide out until morning, so I can get to Professor Dumbledore and speak with him" She explained, straightening out her uniform, catching sight of the bright yellow patch on her left breast pocket which filled her with comfort knowing she was safe as long as she kept cover. Looking back up at the guys, a look of confusion and bewilderment displayed across their faces. The guy with glasses walked forward, his hand jutted out in front of him a cheeky smile making its way onto his face, deep dimples poking out on his cheeks.

"Well, we will help you on your so called 'hiding out'. I'm James. James Potter" He spoke, his voice full of mischief, a sense of cockiness radiating off of him. She grasped his hand, a feeling of familiarity washing over her as she heard him utter his last name shaking it firmly shifting her hand away eyeing the other three catching sight of the lion of their robes. Of course I would get the luck of bumping into a group of Gryffindor boys.

"I'm Sirius Black" The tall guy stepped up, grasping her hand in his and kissing the back of it softly. Her eyebrows furrowed pulling her hand away slightly flustered, tucking one of her loose curls away from her face. A small motion in her peripheral vision caught her attention, turning towards the guy with the scars whose hand was out a tired look adorning his face. Grasping his hand making eye contact the whole time, seeing a cheeky glint in his eyes before he turned away tucking his hands into his pockets.

"I'm Remus Lupin, and that's Peter Pettigrew." Peter faced her, giving her a crooked smile tilting his head slightly towards the floor as a sign of greeting. She waved awkwardly a teasing grin making its way onto her face, pointing her gaze down at the floor kicking the stone floor slightly before looking back up at them. Harry had never gone into full detail about his father and friends, which meant that she would have to go and learn all about the infamous Marauders, eyeing them curiously.

"I'm Diana Lopez. I should probably get going, it was nice to meet you guys! It sounded like you guys were pretty eager to get Moony to bed." She teased, seeing Remus' face flush slightly smacking a chuckling Sirius, seeing the dark haired boy winking at the curly haired witch. She rolled her eyes looking around the empty corridor a small movement catching her eye, instinctively pulling out her wand flicking it slightly towards the floor a huge gust of wind blowing the fire out. If it had been a professor, they would have asked what they were doing out of bed. And since she heard nothing, she could only assume that it had been a student eavesdropping on their conversation. The four boys pulled their wands out, turning all sorts of directions leaving no place undetected. Remus' once tired mood seem to sober up his eyes scanning his surroundings attentively. Diana casted a silent muffliato so no one would hear any spells or incantations being shouted, her grip on her wand tightening.

"Expelliarmus" Diana shouted pointing her wand toward the direction of the movement. A small grunt followed, the sound of wood clattering to the floor catching her attention. Picking up her speed jogging towards the direction, seeing a blur of robes lean down to pick up their wand swishing their wand in my direction. Her adrenaline kicked in, her instincts backing her up completely sending her wand into a flurry without a second thought.

"Stupefy!"

"Protego!" She instinctively shouted, seeing the harsh amber light clashing with the light grey streak coming towards her. The tall silhouette turned around running down the corridor, their footsteps echoing as they got further away. Her feet picked up their pace, nearly catching up to the running figure that unexpectedly happened to turn a harsh right, catching her off guard. The footsteps behind her grew fainter as her speed increased, seeing the guy in front of her slow down. She leaped, feeling the wind rush through her hair before feeling his back crash onto her chest as they both came tumbling down. A loud grunt left her body as she felt the soft, plush grass on her legs wrapping an arm around the figure below her rather tightly pointing her wand at him.

"Petrificus Totalus" She muttered, seeing his body freeze up. Her hands twirled him around locking eyes with a pair of harsh brown eyes, that seemed to be staring up at her angrily. She waved her wand around the two of them, muttering an incantation to hide them from the eyes of the approaching 4 boys. Diana flicked her wand, seeing him unfreeze and then scramble up to his feet. His breathing was heavy, and his eyes were glaring daggers into her. The moonlight gave some light in the dark evening, letting her get a good view of his sharp features. His long, silky black hair hung a bit past his shoulder flowing softly from the wind his body towering over her. He stood a good half a foot taller than her, his anger radiating off of him letting her know what she had done had truly pissed him off.

"Do you find this amusing?! I'll-"

"Shh... you don't want them to hear you, do you?" Cutting him off rather aggressively with a sense of urgency in her voice stepping outside of the bubble coming face to face with the group, a look of relief washing over their faces.

"You're fast-" Peter choked out, his cheeks a bright shade of red. Diana giggled, letting her hands rest casually in front of her eyeing the group. Sirius' eyes were still on high alert, looking around for any hidden students lurking around, along with Remus whose body still seemed rather stiff.

"Just a bit. But, uhm... don't worry about the person. I'm pretty sure they ran into the Forbidden Forest out of fear,"

"Well aren't you just the sweetest, look at her Moonsey. She's already looking out for us," Sirius teased, wrapping his muscular arm around her shoulder crushing her into his chest. She tried to push against him, but to no avail letting out a huff of air letting the shaggy haired boy swing her back and forth, "Come on, love. Fight back," Diana shrugged, bringing her knee to meet his jewels sending the boy crumpling to the floor. The other Marauders burst out laughing, mainly out of surprise that she had the balls to knee Sirius.

"H-holy fuck..."

"You alright there, Siri?"

"I'm pretty sure I saw the light there-"

"Oh stop being so over dramatic." Diana bent down, letting the boy wrap his arm around her shoulders standing up to his full height some of his weight resting on her, "Would any of you guys like your man back?"James chuckled, making his way over to her practically hoisting Sirius up a grin etched on his face at the pained look on his face.

"We'll see you later, Diana. Don't have too much fun without us,"

"Wouldn't dare dream about it," She waved to the four boys, seeing them jostling the shaggy haired boy around laughing to herself facing the open space off to her side letting out a breath she didn't know she was holding, waving her wand seeing the bubble waver the tall man start making its way through stuffing it into her robe pocket. Her hands brushed some leaves that had managed to get on her robes, tugging her rising skirt down her tan legs looking back up at the guy with the harsh brown eyes.

"I'm sorry for coming at you like that, I thought you were someone who wasn't supposed to be there. But I didn't mean to cause any damage. I'm Diana...Diana Lopez. Nice to meet you." She apologized, jutting her hand out a sheepish smile on her face. His eyes trailed down to her awaiting hand taking it into his large hand, shaking it rather firmly before letting his hand hang down by his side. Running his fingers through his hair, shoving his hands into his slacks drumming his thumbs on his thighs from inside his pockets, a nasty habit he had gotten into after 4th Year.

"Severus Snape... you didn't disarm me because of The Marauders, right?"

"The- the who?!" She chuckled feigning confusion, looking up at him through her glasses, her nose crinkling up cutely as she let out a tiny giggle. Dear god, this is not possible. My Potions Professor is standing in front of me. Would it be illegal to say that I find all these men attractive? Diana- you cannot find them attractive, she scolded herself, her face flushing pink. Realization dawned on him, realizing that she truly wasn't lying about why she had disarmed him.

"Nevermind that. I best be off to my dorm..." He announced turning on his heel walking away from the small girl, with the curly locks whose hair was almost the same length as his. The leather of his shoes contrasting nicely with the plush grass, taking large strides to get to his dorm quicker nearly jumping out of his skin as he saw her walking beside him, her legs having to take faster and shorter strides to keep up with his long strides. She eyed his feet noticing they had slowed down so she could keep up, a grin making its way onto her face looking up at him nodding at him in appreciation.

"A Hufflepuff, huh? How come I've never seen you before?" Severus broke the silence holding the door open to the girl, shutting it softly as they entered the warmer hallway. He saw that she had tensed up at the mention of that, immediately racking his brain with a new topic to change the topic, his hands getting clammy of the thought of the first decent student he's met in a while being uncomfortable. The question Severus has asked filled her heart with a pang of hurt, not knowing when she would be able to return back to her friends and family. She sighed, facing him from her sitting position on a ledge that they had sat on, after walking for a couple of minutes in a comforting silence.

"You're not gonna believe me but it's better to get things off my chest than to hold them in, am I right? Well...I came here because of a time turner. The time turner had been broken before these girls that I was with started messing with the 'pretty necklace' so I put it on in case anything did happen. And next thing you know, I bumped into those four, the ones you call 'The Marauders'. So I truly don't know how I'm going to get back... especially since I have no idea how many turns they managed to do considering how far back I went." She explained, running her hands through her messy curls catching Severus' eye, his bottom lip trapped between his teeth. The silence grew longer, her nerves getting the best out of her with every second ticking by. Severus stood up, jerking his head as a sign for her to get up and follow him. Diana stood up pulling her robes closer to her body, shivering slightly as the wind had gotten increasingly got colder the longer the night dragged on. He waved his wand at her silently without her noticing, keeping his eyes staring ahead a warmth washing over her, feeling her whole body fill up with the warmth sighing contently.

"Come on... I think sleep is needed for the two of us. If you don't mind, we will be making a trip to my dorm. The guys who had to share a dorm with me, were too scared of me so they are sharing with other guys in our year. Pretty irrational if you ask me... but you get to have a whole room to yourself" She giggled quietly letting the comforting silence dawn over the two of them. Severus reached behind him wrapping his hands around her robe, tugging her into a secret entrance, hearing her gasping softly as a secret door had opened out of the blue. If she was being completely honest she had zoned out and had no idea how they had gotten there, and what he had done to let himself into the common room. His grip had loosened, removing his hold on her entirely swishing his wand around the pair letting themselves melt into their surroundings, gesturing her to follow him. Her small legs could only go so far, trying to keep up with him nearly bumping into him as he slowly came to a stop. The smell of mint and aftershave filled her nostrils, a smell that was so far fetched from what the Hufflepuff common room smelt like, but she didn't seem to mind it as much.

"My dorm isn't messy or anything, but be careful not to touch anything of mine. All of my belongings are jinxed so only I can lay a finger on them." Severus explained, turning the silver knob opening the door for her to pass through. She was in awe at the gorgeous emerald walls, the light grey curtains framing the window nicely giving the room an elegant vibe to it. There were four empty beds, all adorned with the same emerald comforter, fluffy white pillows pressed against the headrest. Diana liked the coziness of the room, unlike the weird sensation she felt in the main common room area before she could continue admiring the room he had turned the lights on. The room looked even prettier, the emerald practically sparkled with the help of the vibrant light in the room, the silver lining on the sheets giving it that final touch. She could immediately tell which one was his by the letters and photographs taped to the wall surrounding the bed farthest from the other three empty beds, small journals and trinquets adorning the dresser beside his bed.

"Woah... your room is absolutely breathtaking. I like the decorations by the way, gives the room a homier feeling." She giggled, playfully shoving against him his body going rigid. He wasn't used to people touching him without intending to hurt him. The last person to have done that was Lily Evans, but he brushed it off knowing those weren't her intentions.

Diana sluggishly walked over to the bed closest to the window plopping down tiredly, face first into the cool comforter. The comforter was soft, and cozy which only egged her to not move from her current position but knew she had to get dressed out of her uniform. A switch going off in her head, lifting her head up staring at Severus who was already staring her. Standing up a sheepish smile on her face, making her way over to him after having kicked her shoes off at the foot of the bed. He eyed her curiously, tugging his robes off placing them on a coat hanger near his dresser, fiddling with his emerald striped tie tugging it off his neck tossing it on the bed. Diana’s heart fluttered a little bit at the sight of him undressing in front of her, shaking her head of those thoughts about her professor.

"I umh...need something to sleep into... do you think-"

"-Lily left something here that belonged to James. And a few of her other clothes... I was going to throw them into the fireplace but you seem to need them more" He muttered quietly, making his way over to his trunk pulling out an oversized maroon sweater the words Quidditch Captain stitched across the back in a lovely golden thread. Diana ran her finger over the name embedded into the left breast; James F. Potter. Severus handed her a pair of clothes that were neatly folded, her small hands clutching the soft fabric thanking him quietly. She scanned the room for a bathroom, briskly walking over to the cold room proceeding to shut the door behind her.

Diana stared into her reflection, her doe eyes staring back at her as she proceeded to undress. Her wand was set on the counter, along with her robes that contrasted deeply with the stark white marble counter. The grey sweater coming off her body shivering as the cold air touched her, goosebumps covering her body, leaving her in her white button up and black skirt. After she had stripped to just her undergarments and a pair of white knee high socks that she had found, oddly enough, stuffed into the clothes she was handed, but she wasn't complaining. Her hands steadily picked up a soft pair of shorts out of the options she had, pulling it over her legs, hastily tugging the thick sweater over her head inhaling the sweet scent of mango, the soft fabric coming to mid thigh.

Granted she did have to adjust the size of the shorts since they were a tad bit too small around her hips, but besides that the clothes fit her nicely and comfortably. Tossing her clothes into the hamper, hopefully to wash them tomorrow morning considering she had no other clothes. A knock on the dark oak door interrupted her train of thoughts, hurriedly opening the door locking eyes with a startled Severus. His eyes trailed up and down her figure, nodding hastily letting her come back into the room her hands fiddling with her wand, setting it down noisily on the dresser beside the bed she had chosen. A soft clank echoed through the room as her 12" wand clattered to the floor a blush making its way onto her face bending over hastily to pick her wand off the floor. She huffed opting for opening a drawer, and gently placing the wand inside.

"Are you comfortable?" His voice echoed through the nearly empty room, scratching his head awkwardly. She nodded going underneath the comforter, moaning quietly at how comfortable the cold sheets felt letting her body melt into the plush beds. Severus' head snapped up at the sound, his heart beat increasingly slightly before he pushed the restless feelings deep down.

"Goodnight, Severus,"

"Goodnight, Diana..."

That climbing sensation was something he had spent years trying to push away but everything the curly haired witch did managed to weasel her way into every crevice, clambering into bed waving his wand letting the lights fade away, sleep overcoming the both of you.

January 5th, 1977. The Slytherin Dorms. 7:38 am.

Small slivers of a deep green light glittered on the wall, piercing through the window in the room making a certain curly haired girl groan, the light hitting her closed eyes rather harshly. Sleepily sitting up, stretching softly letting out small sounds of appreciation as she felt her back crack.

Diana swung her bare legs over the edge of the bed letting her sock covered feet touch the stone floor, making her way over to the window eyeing the rays of light streaming through the water a smile tugging on my lips. The young girl made herself comfortable on a small ledge that she had grown to love, bringing her knees up to her chest. Resting her hands on the ledge of the window closing her eyes softly, basking in the warmth of the sunlight caressing her skin. Ever since she had arrived, her memories of her present had grown increasingly fuzzy. If she tried hard enough, she could remember the faces of a few of her best friends but besides that she could hardly remember anything.

"Morning" A husky voice whispered, snapping her out of her day dream twisting her head to lock eyes with Severus. His head was slumped against his pillow, staring up at her making her smile grow wider at how adorable he looked hurrying over to him stopping herself from jumping on his bed. He rolled his eyes, lifting his comforter knowing this scheme from when Lily tried to always cuddle, she was always cold, but knowing he would never want to.

He had only known his girl for a couple weeks after spending most of his time with her in his dorm. Dumbledore had sent meals up to her so the other kids wouldn't be suspicious of the dainty Hufflepuff in the Slytherin Dormitories. It was now the first day of classes since the holidays, she had been here for three weeks, a couple days before the holidays had started, but he had managed to grow surprisingly close to her after being so shut off from the rest of the world for so long.

Nuzzling her way underneath the covers, wrapping her arms around his bare waist, having grown accustomed to him being shirtless with her as she made him feel incredibly safe. He wrapped his arms around her, inhaling the sweet scent of honey her hair always seemed to give off enjoying her soft touches. Rubbing her thumbs subconsciously on his milky skin, pulling him closer against her small frame intertwining their legs together.

A knock on the door broke them out of that trance, feeling his muscles tense up underneath her hands. He sighed deeply pulling away from her hurriedly pulling on a jumper, she stood up hurrying into a corner whispering incantations over her looking down at her toes seeing she blended perfectly into the floor underneath her.

"Who is it?"

"Regulus... did you forget that I was supposed to be coming by for that potion?" A raspy voice murmured, opening the door to Severus' room, a tall guy with long dark hair stood in the room eyeing the room his features blank of any emotion. Diana immediately knew she recognized this guy, she tried to figure out how she recognized him knowing she hadn't left the room in a quite of bit of time. Her hand held onto her wand tightly eyeing the two boys in front her, her heart hammering at her chest. What kind of water are these guys drinking, holy hell, every single guy I've seen looks like they came right out of a magazine.

"Right..." Severus mumbled, briskly walking over to his dresser shuffling through all his belongings a sense of urgency in his movements, his bottom lip trapped in between his teeth. The sound of papers and journals shuffling filled the room before it stopped all together, his delicate fingers wrapped around a vial of a deep violet substance, the mop of dark hair stalked forward his eyes wide in amusement. Severus pursed his lips a hardened look on his face, an expectant look on his face as he eyed Regulus, the dark haired bloke huffed angrily pulling out a bag that practically sagged from the amount of coins inside setting them into his hand. Diana's eyebrows furrowed, eyeing the two seeing the contrast between the two Slytherins. Severus had a dark aura around him, even his features were deemed dark, while Regulus had a more light aurora. They both had this authority that oozed out of them both, but out of the two of them it was instantly noticeable who was in charge.

"Are you positive this will-"

"Are you questioning my abilities...Black?" Severus sneered his eyes darkening, his grip on the bottle tightening stuffing the coins into his pocket. Regulus' mouth closed rather quickly a glare set on his face, placing his hand out for Severus to place the bottle in his hand which he did gladly, waving his wand sending the awkwardly proportioned boy stumbling out of his room, the door shutting behind him. Sighing deeply his eyes looking around the room, a smirk tugging at his plush lips swishing his wand rather secretively. A loud laugh left her mouth as she was sent tumbling into his arms, her body fading back to normal making him smile warmly.

"I have classes soon. You will most likely be left by yourself until everyone heads to their first class. Try to be as inconspicuous as possible until then... alright?" He spoke softly, rubbing her arms soothingly a sad frown making its way onto his face. Tugging at his dark jumper pulling him closer, nuzzling into his warmth sighing rather happily. His arms wrapped around her tiny frame, setting his head into the crook of her neck a place he'd truly come to appreciate.

"Go get dressed, Sev. I'll get dressed out here, then I'll go and explore for a bit after I take a nap. But don't worry, I'll be here by the time you come back," Nodding against her soft hair, thumbs brushing the exposed skin of her shoulders pulling away from her walking over to his dresser. Waving his wand his clothes coming to him rather quickly, folding themselves neatly at the foot of his bed. Grabbing the materials opening the bathroom door, shutting it behind him softly. After Diana had gotten dressed, she pulled James' sweater over her head nuzzling into the familiar article of clothing, having worn it quite a bit since she had no other article of clothes asides from her uniform. Her fingers fiddling with the maroon fabric seeing as it matched very nicely with her skin tone, and the pastel yellow nail polish on her fingernails.

"You okay?"

"Yea! I'm fine, just gonna miss you s'all" Diana flushed red as she confessed that out loud, looking at Severus from the corner of her eye seeing his cheeks with a splash of pink on them. He cleared his throat distracting himself by placing all his homework and books into his satchel, tucking his wand into his pocket. Walking over to the door placing a gentle hand on the knob, turning back to the blushing girl sending her a warm smile making his way out of the room.

The loud ticking sounds coming from the clock seemed to have grown louder as the time passed by, rather slowly might she add, Diana's patience wearing thin. Letting out a sigh for what seemed like the 1,000th time looking at the clock, jumping up excitedly as she saw it had passed a little over 3 o'clock meaning she would be able to go outside since there was a low chance of any kids wandering the halls.

"Excuse me? Have you seen a tall guy with- hey... It's you!" She froze turning around hastily seeing the pair of blue eyes she had seen a couple weeks ago, looking down at her. A smile made its way onto her face waving at him, peering behind him as I saw the boy with the sandy hair jogging over to them. Diana waved warmly opening her mouth to say something to Remus before being smothered into the Chaser's chest, the familiar scent the sweater once gave engulfed her, rather than smelling so strongly of pineapples it smelt of mangos. She inhaled the intoxicating scent wrapping her arms around his firm torso, giggling as he swayed her side to side. A loud cough interrupted them, pulling away hastily watching the sandy haired boy eye the two of them teasingly.

"Hey Remus! You look a lot better since I last saw you, you doin' alright?" She asked, running her fingers through her curls seeing the boy grin rather wolfishly fiddling with the hem of his grey sweater. James snickered, patting his shoulder rather roughly before something caught his attention. The maroon sweater adorning the body of the bubbly, curly haired girl in front of him was...his. He remembered the day he had given the sweater to Lily after a day at Hogsmeade, that winter night happened to be the one time she had forgotten her winter coat so he lend her his Quidditch Captain sweater. A pang of hurt filled his chest as he now saw it adorning another girls body, thoughts racing through his head.

"W-where'd you get this?" James questioned, trying to play it off casually but both Remus and Diana weren't stupid and knew that he was hurt. She bit her bottom lip, searching through her head for an answer that didn't give her away playing with the hem of the sweater seeing the sleeves go past her hands. Diana felt herself swaying on the balls of her feet, peering up at the two talls guys who looked down at her expectantly.

"Well, after I chased after Severus a couple weeks ago. He took me to his room, so I could sleep somewhere because I couldn't be let into the Hufflpuff's Common Room for some odd reason. When I went to get dressed for bed, I had realized that I had nothing to change into so I asked him if he had anything that I could change into for the night, and he pulled out this sweater. He said something about Lily leaving it in his room one day, and just never came back for it so he let me use it. And so I've been wearing it quite a lot. But I can give it back if you'd like" He shook his head, his features relaxing at the knowledge that she didn't toss it away. But after a short couple moments his features hardened once again, peering up at her squinting from the harsh sun hitting his bright, blue eyes.

"You had to spend your Christmas break with Snivellus? I'm sorry, doll. Why didn't you come find us sooner, we would of gladly let you sleep with us." The tone of his voice was full of disgust, and it confused her. Snivellus? Was he talking about Snape?  The girl hastily began to tug the maroon sweater over her head, fixing her uniform underneath placing the warm fabric into his hands a soft smile on her face. His eyebrows furrowing clutching the fabric tightly, about to hand it back before she shushed him softly.

"You can have it back... and I would appreciate it if you didn't insult Severus in front of me. I don't know what you guys may have had in the past, but if it's about Lily, I can assure you he won't be bothering-"

"That's where you're wrong, doll. Severus is in love with Lily, always will be. You may think he likes you and all but he's a stubborn git. He has never been capable of loving anyone except for her, but she doesn't want him. She's with me," Hurt pang throughout her body, eyes stinging as the familiar warm sensation of tears making their way to her eyes.

"I don't like, Severus. He's an incredibly good friend, a good person at that, one of the closest ones I've had in a long time. So don't you dare and try to put words into my mouth, Potter," James' face softened an apologetic look flashed on his features, trying to hold onto her hands but he was too late. The girl had turned on her heel and was briskly walking away, her robes and curls flowing with the wind.

January 5th, 1977. Outside The Quidditch Pitch. 5:19 pm.

Diana's hands hurt from digging up all the jagged rocks and chucking them as far as they could go, rather angrily plopping down on a soft spot in the grass. It had been a couple hours since James had stated that Severus was still madly in love with Lily, but the hurt of knowing she might not mean something to him like he meant to her was still there. After their whole month together, she expected that he had at least felt their friendship to be quite special considering they had been incredibly close to one another. Which sounded quite silly to her now, considering Severus has know Lily for many years. The cool air helped relax her flustered state, letting her eyes flutter shut, leaves rustling above her.

"It's weird seeing you without your wand," The sound of someone whispering into her ear made her jump, nearly falling over in the grass clutching at her chest, glaring at the shaggy haired boy who just grinned cheesily at her.

"You arse, I felt my heart fall out of my mouth."

"Sorry, love." The calming silence that followed after made him eye the girl, who was staring out at the open space her hands fiddling with the hem of her skirt. He let out a small breath, inching his way over to her nuding his arm against her, "You alright?"

"James told me that Severus didn't have room in his 'little to non existent' heart for anyone other than Lily and the Dark Arts.  I suppose it's fair considering we've only known each other for a quarter of the time they knew one another; stupid, I know but... I'm just-," Her voice quivered, covering her face with her hands feeling the warm tears falling down her cheeks. Soft cries emitted from her lips, hurriedly wiping away the tears angrily. Sirius leaned closer to the girl, wrapping his arm around her shoulder holding her close to his chest. Tiny hands grasping his uniform wet streaks making their way through his uniform, tightening his hold on the crying girl his hatred for the greasy haired fool increasingly growing.

"Love... it's alright. You can stay with me if you'd like. James can sleep on the floor, like the ole deer that he is," A giggle left her lips at the pun, looking up at him staring into his baby blue eyes. His face lit up, feeling better to know he was able to make her smile hugging her once again but pulling away abruptly as a herd of footsteps made their way over to them. Sirius stood up, his wand at the ready staring at the figures standing before them. James, Remus and Peter looked worried, but once they saw the two of them standing before them they relaxed. James ran a hand through his wild hair, pushing his glasses further up the bridge of his nose.

"Severus thinks we're hiding you which is bloody insulting but it's whatever. He's absolutely pissed. I would stay out of his way, Padfoot. Come on, Diana... we need to get you to Severus before he throws a-" Before the black haired boy could grab a hold of the short girl, he was hit by a spell feeling himself thrown backwards. His body slammed into a tree, his friends pulling out their wands anger evident on all of their faces. Severus had a murderous look in his eye, shooting strings of spells at the Marauders while Diana looked at them with an immense fear deep inside. Running over to James, wiping a trickle of blood off his cheek his face scrunched up in pain. His fingers held onto her hands as she helped him up, a burning rage flickering inside of him drawing his wand out. Before she could stop him, James had Severus up in the air with his wand thrown across the plush grass.

"James!"

"Stay out of it, Diane, he deserves it! All these years of chasing after my girl, and I never was able to do anything. Let me at him-" The moment those words left his mouth, they stopped as he was throw to the side muttering out a loud yelp as he landed on the dirt. Diana quickly helped Severus down, relief washing over her letting her feet take her over to the dark haired wizard, wrapping her arms around the tall lanky boy. She heard his heart hammering loudly against her cheek, his hands gripping her tightly.

"Severus, everything's okay. I wanted to have a moment by myself. I should have told you beforehand, but the guys had nothing to do with this. I promise..." Diana whispered against him, feeling his body relax against her feeling him let out a large sigh. She turned to face her friends giving them a soft smile, looking up at Severus whose pale face was flushed red with anger, "I'll meet you in your dorm, and we can go to Great Hall afterwards, alright?" He reluctantly nodded pressing his forehead against hers, briskly walking away from the group. Diana turned to face the marauders who were all standing rather awkwardly, feeling her fingers clench at her skirt as she saw James' face. Quickly muttering a spell sending it at him, his bruises and cuts fading from his face.

"Thank you..."

"Don't worry about it... Look, you guys may have had a completely different experience with Snape than me, but he's a good guy," James and Sirius grumbled at her words, simultaneously rolling their eyes at her, leaving Remus to adjust his stance eyeing her attentively, "I'll make sure he stays off your back. As long as I'm here, he won't touch you or Lily ever again."

"What if he does? If that-grease ball lays a finger of Lily-"

"Prongs, just drop it. Can't you see, just her being here she was able to send Snape away without him throwing a single hex at us," Remus offered, his eyes flickering back and forth between the brunette and the dark haired wizard. He sighed deeply, running his fingers through his hair silently agreeing to what he was saying, "Do you like Snape, Diana?"

"No. We just... connect really well, he has a soft side that he doesn't show many, and I have a side of me where I don't show many either. Including you lot," She teased, rocking back and forth on her heels laughing at her jest making them chuckle lightly at the sound of her laughing, "Alright, well... it's about time where I go devour some chicken. I'll see you guys in a bit,"

"Bye, Diana!"

"Bye!"

"Don't forget to keep those lips warm for me, love!"

"Oh, sod off, Sirius. You wish you could kiss these lips."

April 10th, 1977. Hogsmeade. 10:47 am.

Diana couldn't ignore her cravings for sweets any longer, so she had informed Severus she would be going to Hogsmeade that morning. He didn't want to get out of bed, but he wished her well and off she went. Thankfully, she had began her term at Hogwarts and had made a several new friends which she was quite thankful for. Dumbledore had allowed the girl to sleep with the Slytherin boy on the days they didn't have school, so she happily remained in contact with her best friend. For that day she had decided to wear a pair of high waisted jeans that flared out wards the end, showing off her butt which she was quite proud of, a pair of hightop white converse resting on her feet. Diana had opted for a an emerald green sweater, tucked into the jeans along with a denim jacket thrown over the sweater considering it was quite cold out. For some odd reason, it had decided to snow in the middle of April, but she wasn't complaining it had been too long since she had played in the snow.

She hated hiding her curls, but she would rather have flat curls then a rats nest so she pulled the hood of her jacket over her head to help block out some of the wind. Along with her new clothes, she decided to wear a full face of makeup her dark brown eyes popping out even with her large glasses framing her face.

"Oi, Lopez!" Her head snapped toward the direction of her name being shouted, smiling to herself as she caught a glimpse of Sirius making her way over to her bringing her into a warm embrace, "What do you think you're doing walking to Hogsmeade all on your own? You've got us, remember?"

"Oh trust me, I tried to forget," He pulled away from the brunette, adjusting his grip on her before lifting her into his arms like she was a child. She practically screamed, clinging to his neck as he walked over to the laughing bunch of guys, a pout on her face as he set her back on the snow covered ground, "I'm not a doll, Sirius."

"Ooh, doll. I quite like that name for you. It's either that or honey bun. The list of nicknames just keeps on growing!"

"Definitely, doll." James chuckled, pushing his glasses further up the bridge of his nose eyeing the sulking 5'4 girl ruffling her curls laughing as she playfully swatted his hand away, "Fiesty too,"

"I will throw you in a garbage bin, Potter."

"Whatever you say, Lopez,"

They continued to tease her as they walked with her to Hogsmeade, pestering her over and over again as to why they never saw her in between classes and why she didn't like to sneak off into the Forbidden Forest. She thought the last one had a perfectly good reason, but they didn't accept it, well James and Sirius didn't. After several minutes of pestering they gave up, sadly, but they all lightened up once she offered to buy them all a round of butterbeers. Diana giggled at their childish actions, chasing after them as they began sprinting towards The Three Broomsticks with a skip in their step.

"Hi, I was wondering if I could buy these bozos all some butterbeer?" Diana asked the young lady at the pub, who smiled warmly at her. The energy in the pub always gave her positive vibes, which just seemed to spread to any person she came in contact with practically bouncing in her spot.

"You got an ID, darlin'?"

"Yes, right of course," She flushed pink, flashing her the same identification she had given her the previous times she had come with Severus or with a few others. Diana looked around the pub, coming face to face with a sandy haired boy her smile growing. His cheeks were tinted a slight pink, running his fingers through his hair nervously as he eyed her stuffing his thumbs into the pockets of his dark jeans. The werewolf had a gorgeous yellow sweater on, along with a black jacket over it. His legs were covered by a pair of black skinny jeans, that had some small rips on them nicely cuffed at the bottom his converse peaking through.

"Hi,"

"Hi, Rem," She mused leaning against the bar counter, a teasing glint in her eyes. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the other three Marauders goofing around their prominent laughter echoing throughout the whole room, "Did you want something, I have no problem getting you-"

"Oh no, of course not. I actually came here to let you know that James isn't letting you buy the drinks. Every time he walks into the pub, he gives a certain sign to the bartender letting them know to put any and all drinks coming from his table on his tab-"

"That little gremlin,"

"No need to get angry at him, love. He's absolutely loaded, he loves to spend money on his friends-"

"Well so do I. Just you watch," She hastily walked over to her table, noting that the laughter seemed to die down as she approached them. Her small hands grabbed a hold of James' sweater tugging his tall frame into a corner of the pub, scrambling to let go of him eyeing him up and down running her tongue across her teeth, "Potter,"

"W-what did I do? Is it because I'm paying-"

"No... but I had to make it seem that way so the boys would believe it," Diana kept her angry face, a small smirk tugging at her lips. James' back was to the boy so she could see them whispering to one another, looking over in their direction. The dark haired boy chuckled at her idea, signaling for her to go on, "I...I think that's as far as my plan went. There was probably more, but I'm blanking."

James rolled his eyes playfully at the blushing brunette, placing his arms on either side of her face forcing her to press her back against the wall swallowing thickly, "A little birdie told me they have a crush on you”

"O-on me?"

"Mhmm... If I play this well, he should be over here... any second," James whispered into the crook of her neck, sending shivers down her spine. He placed one of his free hands on her waist nearly breaking her in half as he pulled her against his firm body. Diana practically whimpered at the aggressiveness of his actions, feeling her breathing growing heavy, "You smell nice... is that honey?"

Diana giggle at his words, letting her head roll to the side as he pressed feather like kisses along her jaw, "Yes. It's my hair routine. My shampoo, conditioner and the leave in conditioner-"

Before she could utter any other words, she felt someone pull James away from her small frame a flustered expression on his face. She felt her heart swell as he shoved the snickering dark haired boy, tilting her head at the sandy haired boy who was looking at her with dark eyes. Remus grabbed a hold of her arm tugging her outside, the cold air slapping her exposed skin shivering almost instantly.

"You know James has a thing with Lily, right? Why in the world would you-"

"Rem... I don't like James. That little stunt we pulled was to get you to walk over there," His cheeks darkened significantly. The 6'3 tall guy stammered over his words, tugging at the hem of his thick sweater trying to come up with a reason for him storming over there. Diana grabbed a hold of his hands, the heat emitting from his large hands practically swallowed her smaller one, pulling the boy closer to her, "Don't get all shy on me, Lupin... I like you too."

"You do? The thing with Prongs... was that all fake?"

"100%" Diana giggled, letting her hands trail up his arms wrapping them around his neck having to stand on the tips of her feet. Remus eagerly wrapped his arms around her waist, tugging the small witch into his embrace feeling his heart begin to hammer at his sweater covered chest, lifting one hand up to cup her rosy cheeks.

"I don't think you understand how long I've waited to hear those words..."

"I can only imagine," She teased, a giggle escaping her glossy lips peering up at Remus through her glasses. He rolled his eyes choosing to make a bold move, leaning down to capture her lips into a soft kiss. She returned the kiss almost instantly, her fingers running through his sandy locks tugging at them as he deepened the kiss by running his tongue across her bottom lip. Her lips opened up to him instinctively, moaning into his intoxicating touch wanting more from the boy who was toying with her mouth. The burning sensation in her lungs was a sign of the little amount of air she had inhaled, parting from Remus resting her forehead on his eyeing his gorgeous blue eyes, "Woah..."

The Marauder blushed, letting his warm breath fan her face as he let out a chuckle. The second he opened his mouth to speak, the sound of hollering could be heard leaving the Pub turning their heads to face three giddy Marauders cheeky grins on their faces. Diana untangled herself from the Marauder, shoving her hands into her jacket shivering from the cold.

"And all it took was me kissing all up and down your girl's neck, Moony,"

"Don't even, Prongs. I will throw you in a bin-"

"Hey! That's my insult, get one of your own," Diana grumbled playfully, a pout on her swollen lips letting out a giggle as Remus walked behind her wrapping his toned arms around her waist tugging her into his chest. She sighed at the warmth coming from his body, letting her hands rest on top of his her head making itself comfortable on his shoulder. Sirius and James fake gagged, bent over dry heaving earning a kick in the shins by Diana who only managed to get James since Sirius had grown weary of her legs after she kneed him in his precious jewels. Peter just stood by and watched the encounter happen, snickering at James as he yelped from her aggressive kicks.

"Oi, why are your legs so strong?"

"It is strange how strong they are, isn't it? Considering her height-"

"Padfoot, I will gladly shove my foot up your ass."

"On the other hand. James stop being such a baby-" As they began bickering, she shook her head at them watching them begin to make their way to Honeydukes, forcing Remus to adjust his hold on Diana throwing his arm around her shoulder pressing a soft kiss to her temple. She wrapped her arm around his waist, her other hand holding onto the hand around her shoulders sighing happily. Peter had tried to chime in their argument, leading to the pair to start a fresh argument forcing Peter to join his cheeks growing increasingly more and more red.

Diana felt happy. She knew that this is where she should be at this exact moment, wrapped up with her new boyfriend, surrounding by some of her favorite people the morning sun shining down on them. Without even realizing it, the young witch had let go of any strings attached to her present, all memories of her friends and family had transformed into nothing more than a silly dream.

Those late nights studying with Neville, both of their lungs hurting from laughing so hard trying to stop themselves from waking up anyone in the Gryffindor Common Room. The kisses she had shared with the boy, both of their cheeks the shade of her favorite pink pajamas. All the inside jokes she had made with all of her fellow Hufflepuff peers, including Cedric Diggory, her best friend who passed away tragically. The smiles and loving hugs she had shared with The Golden Trio, the endless trouble they would get into without even having to ask for it. And most importantly, she didn't remember the faces and all the kisses her family would give her before sending her off to a school they trusted with their lives.

All these people would never get her back. They will spend the rest of their years wondering what happened to the Hufflepuff who always had a smile on her face, who never let her personal life affect her school life. The kindest girl to have walked the grounds at Hogwarts. A part of their heart remaining empty. No one managing to fill that void. How they would kill to get their hands on a time turner, just so they could turn back time and see her smile... one last time.

{You cut Sirius’ hair}

⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆

Sirius is sitting on the end of your bed, crossed-legged with his red acoustic guitar in his lap, as carelessly strums a soft melody, there’s a crease that taunts his brows as he tucks a stray strand of black hair behind his ear for like the tenth time tonight, and you can’t help the giggle that bubbles out of you when he lets out a huff of frustration.

“Do you want a bobble?” You ask putting your book down, he looks up at you his facial features softening.

“It won’t help lovely, s’got a mind of its own” he sighs ever so dramatically before running a hand through his raven locks, “Needs cutting, all it of it” and there’s a smirk that teeters on his lips because he knows you’re absolutely mad about his hair for whatever reason.

“Okay, that’s a tad bit dramatic Sirius” you roll your eyes and he laughs at you, twiddling a strand around his finger, “You’re such a wind up” you deadpan as he pretends to cut his hair with his fingers.

You move over to where he’s sitting on the bed, your fingers combing through his soft hair, “I could cut it for ya” you smile fixing the pieces of hair that frame his face, placing a gentle kiss on his cupid's bow.

“Mm not sure I trust you with my hair” he taunts studying your face for a reaction.

“I’ll just cut it when you’re asleep” you smirk before leaning into him whispering a threatening, “Sleep with one eye open love” he laughs at you, his eyes shut and nose slightly crinkled with a joyful expression and it fills your heart with love.

“Alright fine, you can cut it just contain yourself okay? My hair is my best feature” he jokes but you have an inkling that his words carry an underlying seriousness.

You clap with excitement as you jump off the bed running to grab some hair-cutting scissors, Sirius would be lying if he said seeing you this excited to cut his hair wasn’t making him just a little nervous.

“Okay!— come take a seat handsome” you wink patting your desk chair for him to take a seat, he walks over with a certain hesitation.

“You sure you wanna do this in your bedroom?” He asks sitting in the chair as you wrap a towel around his shoulders, you move to stand in front of him, hands on his cheeks as you lift his head up to face you.

“This is going to blow your mind, but there’s a crazy invention called a hoover that-“

He rolls his eyes as he pinches the fat on your thighs you stop mid-sentence yelping his name in shock as you slap his shoulder.

“Alright, smartass” he sighs hands settling on the back of your thighs as he pulls you closer to him, your fingers threading through his hair, “Remember to contain yourself sweetheart” he reminds you watching as you take the scissors with a smile.

Sirius holds his breath as you cut the dark pieces of hair, he sees them fall on the floor from the corner of his eye, which he quickly shuts as your knuckles graze against his cheek.

“Breathe, Sirius” you let out a breathy giggle, and he blushes when he realizes just how close you are to him.

close enough for a kiss, he thinks and his hand cups your concentrated face pulling you into him and stealing your lips in a loving kiss, you gasp in surprise which only makes him laugh.

“Sirius you idiot, I could’ve- mm” and before you can finish complaining he pulls you back into him, his lip’s crashing against yours, his hand still squeezing your things.

You pull away suddenly feeling very warm, “Pack it in before I cut all your hair off” you warn him giggling as he makes a kissy face to you, you press one last kiss to his cheek, “Now behave” you smile as you continue to cut his hair.

It takes a little under an hour when you're finally done and you look at him admiring your work, his hair now sitting neatly just above his shoulders, and it frames his pretty face beautifully and you can’t lie you’re quite proud of yourself.

“Do I still look handsome?” He asks looking up at your proud smile, his fingers push through his hair the short length feels odd.

“Oh drop-dead gorgeous” you smile bringing a mirror to his face you watch as he checks himself out, nodding in approval with an impressed look on his face.

“Huh, should’ve more trust in you sweetheart” and perhaps Sirius has found himself a new hairdresser.

{James trying his best to study while you distract him}

⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆

“Knock it off” James tries so hard to be serious meekly pushing your shoulder, you watch with a teasing smirk as the crease between his brows wobbles and a small chuckle escapes his supple lips, that he tries so hard to press into a thin line to show how ‘unimpressed’ he his, and he hates to admit it but you’ve got him wrapped around your pretty little finger.

James could never truly be mad at you, you’re his everything and he tells you so about ten thousand times a day, so he doesn’t mind much when you press ticklish kisses against his jaw and to that sensitive part just behind his ear, while he’s trying to study, his books splayed across your bed and he pretends to more interested in them than you.

He always gets this fleeting feeling in his chest whenever he’s around you and it flutters to his stomach leaving him all giddy inside, you drive him mad in the best way possible.

Especially when your gentle fingers play with the curly ends of his hair that sit against his neck, the way your cold knuckles graze against his warm skin, he thinks he just might end up going insane.

You giggle watching as he not so sneakily glances at you, a small smile dances on his lips, and you know he can’t keep his composure for long, “James… James, give me attention” you whisper in his ear as you continue press kisses along his jaw while your gentle fingers still twirl through his hair, with the hope that he might just put away the scattered books and paper tonight.

He wants to be stubborn, he wants to regain some kind of control over himself when it comes to you, but how can he? When you smell like home and your comforting warmth is radiating from you inviting him like a Sirens melody.

"I'll kick you out" he threatens, as you blow cold air against his ear with a giggle, while he scribbles notes down on some paper.

"It's my room, love" you remind him, your head resting against his shoulder

"That won't stop me from locking you out, Love" he smiles as you let out a huff and he thinks he's finally won, that you might have gotten bored, but he's proven otherwise.

Your hands playfully tug at the hem of his sweater nimble fingers dipping under the soft weaved fabric as they gently traverse his lower abdomen, and you feel his muscles tense under your teasing touch as he lets out a breathy giggle that borders on a gasp and you relish in the soft sound.

“Oh!— alright, enough you win, you win” he smiles picking up the old tattered books on transfiguration and chucking them carelessly, you gasp watching them skid across the old wooden floor.

“What did the poor books do to you?” You giggle as he scoffs at you, his hands pull you into his lap and your heart feels so full and loved as his gentle fingers trace mindless patterns on the top of your thighs, and you lean to press a small kiss to the tip of his nose.

his hands settle against your hips, "If I fail I'm blaming you" he says, chuckling as you feign offense with an overdramatic shocked expression.

“Not my fault you're so pretty James” you whisper, hands cupping his warm cheeks, and pride blooms in your chest at the redness that tints his cheeks, "Just completely and utterly irresistible"

He’s a blushing mess and uncontrollable toothy grin splays across his face, his lips wobble as he tries to stop it, and it makes you giggle, “Well... I got nothing on you Angel” he admits with a wink and you roll your eyes at his comment leaning down to capture his soft red lips in a loving kiss that leaves him breathless, and he never wants to let you go.

Oh Bloody Hell

Oh bloody hell

{James accidentally gives you a nose bleed}

⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆

James is a very spontaneous person, so when he asks you to bake a Victorian sponge cake with him at one in the morning because he’s ‘bored’ and can’t sleep, well who are you to deny him?

“You need some help with that?” You ask with a teasing smile as you watch him struggle to open the jam jar, you giggle at the way his eyebrows knit together, and his eyes crinkle slightly with frustration he lets out a huff.

“Nope, I got this,” he says popping the ‘p’ as he wipes his hands on his sweatpants before trying to open the jar again, you shake your head at his stubbornness.

You reach for the powdered sugar, leaning over to where James is, his elbow slightly elevated in the air as he tries to dramatically open the jar with a slight grunt. The next thing you know you hear a ‘pop’ and James’s elbow collides with your face, with force, making you stumble back slightly, and a string of ‘oh my fucking god, shit, I’m so fucking sorry’ escapes his mouth with frantic panic.

The jam is immediately discarded, and he rushes over to you his hands pushing yours away from your face as he looks for any injuries. He’s still apologizing, wincing when he notices the tiny cut on your top lip.

“Love, I’m so so sorry I didn’t even realize you were there” he sounds so guilty as he wipes the tears from your eyes with his thumb and he presses a gentle kiss to your cheek.

You notice an abnormal pressure building up behind your nose, almost as if a rubber band is about to snap, it’s an uncomfortable burning sensation and it causes you to go a little light-headed.

“No sweetheart it’s okay, I’m fine, I’m fine- it was just an accident” you smile trying your best to shake off the funny feeling in your nose, that is until you feel an awful rush, and suddenly hot blood is trickling it’s way out your nose, and James looks at you with a horrified expression, eyes wide, he looks like he’s going to be sick.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck” he panics, quickly grabbing a hand full kitchen roll, pressing it against your bloody nose as his hand supports the base of your neck tipping your head up slightly to look at the ceiling, his hands jittery with his panic.

“Are you okay?— Shit— stupid question, of course you’re not I’ve just elbowed you in the face—“ he freaks out hand resting on the small of your back while he gently guides you to the dining room chair “here sit down lovely” he watches as you pinch the bridge of your nose in hopes it’ll do something.

“I’m so sorry, I’m really really sorry lovely,” he says and you swear he hasn’t stopped apologizing since his elbow connected with your face.

“It’s alright James” you mumble, glancing over at him with a small smile.

You eventually pull the blood-soaked tissue from your face, and he lets out a sigh of relief as the blood slowly stops.

You look over at him, he’s holding his face in his hands in distress and his eyebrows are pulled together with worry, “Sweetheart I’m so sorry, I’m honestly so sorry” he mumbles guilt lacing through his tone, and his heart wobbles at the thought of you being in pain, you watch as tears build up in his eyes.

“It’s fine James, I promise you it’s fine,” you say trying to get your point across to the very concerned boy, who’s on the verge of tears, “I’m alright, wasn’t that much blood” you smile letting out a breathy giggle. He looks at you with an exasperated expression as if he can’t believe what you’re saying.

“What? no- any amount of blood is too much blood— I can’t believe I did that” he sighs looking down at the floor, wringing his hands, James refuses to look at you scared of the pain that might still linger in your eyes, the pain that he caused, and the stubborn guilt doesn’t budges from its place in his heart.

You stand up, your hand settling against his shoulder, “You can make it up to me with a hug?” You ask coyly watching the smile that wobbles on his lips as he tugs you into him, his head resting on your shoulder.

“I’m alright James, a little headache but I’m fine, I promise you,” you say with honesty as he squeezes you against him before pulling away from you, and your heart aches at the tears that collect on his eyelashes, you tut as you wipe them away with your sleeve.

You watch as he wets the kitchen towel under the sink, he walks over to you, his hand cupping your face carefully, fingers pressing against your warm cheeks as he starts to clean your blood-stained nose and chin, and he winces at the sight.

“Am I still pretty?” You giggle as he scoffs, shaking his head slightly before discarding the towel, he kisses the top of your nose, before studying your face for a moment.

“Yes, so so pretty, even when your nose is spewing blood because your dumb, overzealous boyfriend elbows you in your face”

And you can’t help that laughter that bubbles out from you, he can be so dramatic when he wants to be, and you sigh rolling your eyes, as his head goes back to resting against your shoulder with a huff.

“Well, my dumb, overzealous boyfriend needs to realize that it was just an accident” you chuckle and your fingers rake through his hair, as he nuzzles further against your neck.

He’s pressing apologetic kisses against your shoulder, “I love you” he whispers, hands settling against your hips, squeezing them lovingly, and you're grateful he's stopped apologizing.

“I love you too, now let’s go clean up the mess” you smile motioning to the cake batter that’s somehow splattered all over the kitchen counter, he nods, not leaving your side and you clean the kitchen with James practically glued to you.

I Have A Request. Best Friends To Lovers With James Potter. James Potter Stealing Readers Favourite Shampoo.

Sun-kissed berries

{James potter steals your shampoo because it smells like you}

⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆

James potter was undoubtedly in love with everything about you, he often finds himself thinking about you in the late hours of the night, the way you smile, how you talk, your hugs even the way you smell and James doesn’t know how such mundane things about you can drive him up the wall with love, but they do.

And he blames that one shampoo you use and its sickeningly sweet berry scent that fills his senses whenever you’re around him, making him dizzy with adoration, and he so desperately wants to tell you how he feels, to lay in bed with you and list off all the things he finds amazing about you, but he won’t he’s far too scared of losing you completely.

So perhaps that’s why James decides to steal your shampoo, and he tells himself he shouldn’t because you only have the tiniest amount left but he’s never been one to make good decisions, so why start now? he thinks as he washes his hair with the sweet-smelling shampoo without any regret.

“She’s going to kill you mate,” Sirius says shaking his head, while James dries off his hair with a towel.

“No she won’t— well she might, but she can’t stay mad at me forever” James mumbles as he ties the drawstrings of his joggers up, his fingers running through his soft damp curls with a proud smirk on his face.

“James you used all of it?!” Remus shouts from the bathroom looking at the empty bottle and James watches as Sirius looks over at him with a shocked expression, his mouth slightly agape as he gasps.

James tries to conjure up some kind of excuse, failing miserably and all he can do is roll his eyes and sigh.

“Fuckin hell James you’ve got it bad” Sirius chuckles taking a seat on the chair, his socked feet resting on the wooden desk, and he replies with a small, not very convincing ‘no I don’t’ but he knows deep down that he does, he loves you.

It was late when you finally got back to your room, and you felt gross from the stressful day you’d had, nothing sounded better than a nice shower, and it would have been great if you weren’t missing a vital part of your shower routine, your shampoo, sun-kissed, berries gone.

Which only fuelled your anger more because who the fuck would steal your shampoo?

Sirius, that’s who, you thought back to that one conversation, he said something about ‘nicking it from you because it smelt like dessert’ and you felt your skin tingle with irritation as you got out of the warm shower wrapping a towel around your body and you feel a sudden coldness seep into your bones making you shiver which only made you seethe with further anger.

“SIRIUS BLACK!” You shout as you storm out of the bathroom, all three of the boys froze in panic as they hear you storm up the stairs, and James’ jaw hits the floor when he sees you walk into the bedroom with just a towel wrapped around your soaking body, and he watches the water droplets that fall from your hair and down your collarbones, and he blushes at the sight.

You walked over to Sirius whose face was painted with a smug smirk, “You’re a fucking prick, I only had a little bit left in the bottle, why the fuck would you steal it? you could've just asked?!” You seethe through gritted teeth, your brows knitted together with frustration.

“What? I didn’t even take it!" He shouts feeling slightly offended as you roll your eyes and you notice the way James is standing there with wet hair and a very guilty look on his face, you huff in disbelief storming over to where he stands.

“Lovely I-“ caught.

“Don’t ‘lovely’ me James” you mumble as you pull him towards you, and a familiar scent fills your senses, Sun-kissed berries your shampoo he looks at you with a sorry smile and it almost makes you want to forgive him, “James, you’re a prick” you snap turning to the door.

“I hate all of you.” You huff before storming out of the bedroom, and you hear Remus shout something about how he ‘didn't do anything’ as you make your way back to your bedroom.

It was early evening now, the sun had set and fallen behind the trees as it dusts the world with its orangey light, and James grabs his wallet after slipping on his jumper.

“Where you going?” Remus asks looking up from his book as he watches James get ready with a frantic rush.

He feels bad, probably more than he should do that’s why he decides to go shop for that one specific brand of shampoo you’ve always used.

“To get back in her good books,” James says with a hopeful smile before leaving, and Remus can't help but shake his head at the very obvious love-sick boy as he darts out the room with determination, and with a little bit of Potter luck he finds the bottle of Sun-kissed berries shampoo, mumbling a little excited 'yes' as he makes the purchase.

You’re lying on the bed, singing softly to yourself as you color one of the pages in your coloring book surrounded by a sea of felt-tip pens, and you hear three distinct knocks on your door, you roll your eyes.

“Go away James” you mumble and but he’s a stubborn man with the task of winning you back and he's never been the type of person to back down especially when it comes to you.

“But I got you something, I think you’ll really appreciate it,” he says from the other side of the door and you sigh as your heart blooms with a loving feeling, you yell at him to enter, and he does with his hands behind his back and a bright smile.

“I’m really sorry lovely” he whispers, showing off the new bottle of shampoo, shaking it in your direction slightly before putting it down on the table, and you can’t stop the smile that teeters on your lips as the nickname ‘Lovely’ floats around your head swarming your belly with butterflies, he always seems to have an effect on you.

He kicks his shoes off before sitting on your bed, and you curse his stupidly cute face and the way he makes your heart flutter with love, “I’m sorry” he says once again however you very much doubt his words.

“Are you really?” You ask with a knowing look.

“No— well I’m sorry but I don’t regret it,” he says and you notice the way a subtle red flushes against his cheeks, “I’m sorry I upset you” he mumbles looking away from you.

You reach out for his hand and he looks at you look with gentle eyes, your thumb brushing against his knuckles, “I’m sorry I called you a prick” you say, and James thinks his heart might jump out of his chest as look at him with the softest eyes, so sweet. You’re so lovely.

“Oh no it's alright, sweetheart, I mean I kinda deserved it” he chuckles and you feel all giddy inside with the way he's looking at you, you start to toy with his fingers trying to calm your heart as it runs laps in your chest.

"Why did you even steal it anyway?" you ask noticing the way he looks everywhere but you, his hand squeezes yours as he lets out a breathy giggle, and it's not like the gentle touches or lingering gazes were unusual for you both, in fact, they came naturally, you just both wished it meant more.

he glances over at you noticing how your head tilts slightly waiting for his answer, and he has a sneaking suspicion that you already know the answer to that, "I think you know why" he whispers and you chuckle.

"Mmm, yeah but I want to hear you say it, tell me Jamie" you whisper a fluttery feeling swarms his stomach making him go dizzy in the best way possible and he goes all bashful at the nickname and he loves the way it sounds coming from you. All the words he wants to say to you sit on his tongue but none dare to leave, you watch as he tries to conjure up the confidence.

You take his hands in yours urging him to say something, "I love you, like a stupid amount, I love the way your just you, I don't know- I can't explain it" he sighs wincing at how bad he is at this, he looks at you and your loving smile and a wave of relief washes over him

“You love me?” you giggle watching as he picks up one of the many colored felt-tip pens that scatter on your bed coloring the flower with a concentrated look in an attempt to stop his mind racing with thoughts.

“Yeah” he whispers, switching color to a darker purple to shade one of the petals.

You move your hand through his soft hair, and he looks over at you, his breathing a little faster than usual and his mind runs with different thoughts, “I love you too Jamie” You say softly as you inch closer to him, dangerously close, and you can feel his shaky breath against your face.

"Yeah?" he breathes

“Yes” you smile, glad that he decided to steal your shampoo as you lean into him capturing his supple lips in a loving kiss, and his hand finds your warm face cupping your cheeks as he pulls you closer to him and you giggle swinging your leg over his thigh to sit comfortably on his lap careful of coloring book that still lays on your bed.

“Watch the coloring book, Potter,” you say lips grazing against his as he quickly picks it up moving onto the bedside table.

You go to kiss him again but he’s quick to stop you, “Does this mean we're" he trails off thinking about all the times he’s daydreamed about this and now he’s a stuttering mess.

“Yes James” you smile and he nods with a bashful grin, excitement flurrying through his chest. He kisses you, with so much love and care, that it leaves you breathless, your hands thread through his soft hair as his sneak under your shirt resting against the small of your back, and the sweet smell of sun-kissed berries fills your senses, while you deepen the passionate kiss, and James makes a mental note to ask you on an actual date tomorrow.

One Of Those Days

One of those days

{James comforts you when your social battery runs low}

⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆

You have been quiet all day, barely speaking no more than three words today and you just seem so distracted, miles away, you didn’t even answer the phone when Marlene called and now James was starting to worry.

“Baby?” He opens the bedroom door softly, noticing you curled up on the bed knees tucked towards your chest, you look over at him with a small smile, trying your best to muster up any kind of energy you have.

James walks over to the bed and takes a seat next to you on the bed, his hand goes to brush your hair away from your forehead, “What’s up hmm?” He asks softly, and you close your eyes when the back of his hand brushes against your warm cheek.

In all honesty, you don’t quite know exactly what’s wrong, you just feel so… bland and can’t find the energy to really do anything, talking to anyone just seems like such a chore, and it doesn’t help that there’s this voice that tirelessly shouts at you, telling you you’re being an awful friend by ignoring everyone, telling you that you’re being a horrible partner by sitting in the bedroom all day.

“I just feel so— meh,” you say, taking his hand from your face and holding it, it’s a silent plea for him to stay here with you, “I’m sorry lovely” you whisper bringing his hand to your mouth to press a gentle kiss against his knuckles.

He looks down at you with a small smile, “You don’t have to apologize lovely, you’ve done nothing wrong” he tells you, but James can tell from the unsure look in your eyes that you don’t believe him, and he knows exactly what you’re thinking.

"No, I do, I've been ignoring you all day, and Marlene" you whisper, tears building up in your eyes, "I don't even know why I feel like this, I'm just being ridiculous James, I'm sorry" you wipe your teary eyes.

His heart aches at the sight, “I don't mind lovely, I understand that you need some time alone, I promise” he says leaning down to press a kiss to your forehead, “And Marlene won’t be upset just because you had an off day” he wipes away the stray tears that fall from your eyes, his heart squeezing in his chest at the sadness that fills your eyes.

“Thank you” you whisper, a sudden guilt creeps up on you and you hate the fact he has to deal with this, with you, feeling like he has to carry your burden with him, the only thing you can do is apologize.

“Sweetheart, you’ve got nothing to apologize for” he promises you and you wonder what you’ve done to deserve such a lovely person in your life, “I’m here and I always will be, okay?” He tells you, kissing the tip of your nose, you let out a small breathy giggle, and you know you won’t win this argument, not with James’ stubbornness.

“Are you hungry?” He asks hand threading through your hair gently and you nod with a small smile.

“Yeah” you close your eyes once more basking in his loving warmth.

“Do you want to make lunch with me or should we order something? Your choice sweetheart” he says and you hum debating the options in your head.

“Let’s go cook something” you decided, sitting up and he happily nods taking your hand as you both walk into the kitchen, you already feel a little more replenished.

Lazy Morning

Lazy morning

{mornings with Sirius}

⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆

It’s early, 6am, and the sun is still rising casting its orangey light through your window, painting the small room with a comfortable warmth, and you notice the way beams of sunlight shine through the curtains like a beacon of light.

You look over at Sirius who is fast asleep, his cheek smushed against the pillow and his mouth slightly agape, you smile at the sight as you gently push his hair from his face tucking the black strands behind his ear, fingertips grazing against his cheek and you admire the small beauty mark that sits under his eye, how his skin glows underneath the suns warm light, it’s unfair that he still looks so beautiful in the midst of sleep.

You enjoy the silence for a moment, moving closer to Sirius’ warmth as his arm slings over your waist, and he mumbles something incoherent and you smile at how he shuffles closer to you, still completely dazed by sleep.

“Stop staring at me, creep” he mumbles against your neck, his legs entangling with yours as he urges you even closer to him.

You feel his hand dip underneath your shirt, his warm palms settling against the small of your back, “I wasn’t staring, I was admiring” you whisper, enjoying the way his fingers trace along your back and he hums in acknowledgment.

His nose nuzzles closer into your neck chasing after your body warmth and the ends of his hair tickle your skin, “You’re so warm” he says lips grazing against you and he presses gentle kisses to your neck down to your shoulder and you sigh at the loving feeling.

He continues to pepper your skin with soft kisses, from your chest trailing up to your neck then jaw, and finally, your face and you burst out in a fit of giggles trying to push him away, hands against his shoulders.

You glance over to your phone, it's already seven and there's a text from James, “We need to get up” you giggle at how Sirius shakes his head, “We can’t be late for James’ match, It's a big one today” you tell him and he groans against your skin, thinking about how cold it was outside the last time you both went.

“Five more minutes lovely, just five more minutes” he whispers with such a persuasive tone that you can’t help but want to indulge him and the way his hands rub against your waist down to your hip makes it even more impossible to move.

You know he’s a nightmare to try and get up, he could lay in bed with you all day if he had it his way, you had to bribe him out of bed.

“Sirius we really can’t be late, James will kill us” you giggle, trying to think of ways to get him out of bed, “Come on we’ll make breakfast together,” you say, playing with his hair.

He doesn’t answer straight away, still silently debating whether or not he wants to get out of bed, “We could make pancakes?” You suggest.

He watches as you get up, eyes trailing along your body, “Come on sleepyhead” you smile pulling at his hand, trying to get him out of bed, he lets out a groan as he reluctantly stands up following you to the kitchen with the odd complaint here and there.

“You’re a bully” he whispers, head resting against your shoulder as he stands behind you while you prepare the pancake batter, you roll your eyes at how dramatic he can be.

“Oh, a bully?” You laugh, and he nods against your neck hands dipping under your shirt to settle against your belly, “I’m making you pancakes at seven in the morning because I love you” you tell him and you can feel as he smiles against your skin, “I don’t think a bully would do that, would they baby?”

You move over to the stove with Sirius still practically glued to your side as you carefully pour the batter into the pan, “Yeah yeah, I love you too” he says, pressing a kiss to your cheek before walking over to the kettle to brew the pair of you some tea, maybe mornings with Sirius weren’t too bad.

Burnt Toast

Burnt toast

{Remus finds you eating a midnight snack}

⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆

You’ve never laughed so hard in your life, the look on Remus’ face as he watches you use the same knife for the butter and jam for your very much burnt toast, the look he gives you as if you had just committed a crime right in front of him.

“Please tell me you haven’t been doing that the whole time we’ve been together” He deadpans as you laugh so hard tears blur your sight, he shakes his head softly taking the jam jar from your hands and examining the toast crumbs and butter that contaminate the sweet spread.

“You should be locked away for this” It's the seriousness in his voice that makes you laugh harder, you watch through joyful tears as he takes a teaspoon out of the cutlery drawer and starts to pick out the crumbs and butter pieces from the jar.

“You’re being ridiculous Remus,” You say through a fit of giggles watching as he picks the butter up and puts them back in the fridge, “What do you expect me to do?—- use the same knife?” You giggle as he turns back in shock as if you just asked him the most stupidest question ever.

“Yes I do, it’s cross-contamination” He can’t help but chuckle a little when you wipe the tears from your eyes still laughing, “Alright breathe lovely” he chuckles walking over to you.

“What you even doing up this time of night?” He asks looking over at the clock that read five am in bold red writing.

“Was hungry” you say regaining your composture before taking a bite from the toast, Remus’ arms wrap around your body as he stands behind you, and he presses gentle kisses against your shoulder.

“Well hurry up, it’s fucking freezing out here” he whispers resting his head on the juncture of your neck and shoulder, while you continue to eat your toast. He leans closer to you trying to steal your body warmth as the cold tiles of the kitchen sends a shiver up his spine.

“Wanna bite?” You ask, bringing the toast to his lips and he’s quick to move his head.

He looks at the brunt toast in disgust, shaking his head, “No I don’t” he chuckles, “How have you managed to burn it so bad?” he asks, face cringing a little as he watches you take another bite.

“It tastes fine,” you say, and he’s not quite sure if you’re trying to convince him or yourself.

“Yeah, I’ll take your word for that dove” He smiles, his head resting against your shoulder, the ends of his hair tickling your skin as he presses kisses against your jaw and his hands dip underneath your jumper settling against the warmth of your belly.

“Come on let’s go back to bed,” you say as he nods against you, following you back to the bedroom, and he’s quick to search for your warmth again underneath the covers, holding you close to him as you both drift off back to sleep.

Needy

Needy

{James gets needy after coming home from practice}

⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆

James loves coming home to you after quidditch practice, laying in your arms and basking in your warmth after spending the day outside in the freezing cold rain, the way you make him feel so cosy with love.

There’s a dull ache that seizes his body, leaving him exhausted, his muscles sore from the strenuous exercise and there’s no other place he’d rather be than with you.

He lays in between your legs his head resting against your chest as your fingers play with the ends of his hair, he’s not paying any attention to the movie instead he finds himself distracted by the slow rhythm of your heart and the steady rise and fall of your chest.

“God you’re so warm” he sighs nuzzling his nose into your neck as he leans in closer to you, his hands dipping underneath your shirt settling against your belly, and he hums in bliss at the softness of your skin, “so so warm”

You giggle at his neediness, “Quit treating me like your personal radiator” You try to wiggle free from underneath him but it’s pointless, his body weight sandwiches you against the sofa, not that you’re complaining.

“S’not my fault you’re so warm, and soft,” he says, sighing as your fingers thread through his hair.

There’s a comfortable silence that blankets you both, and you go back to watching the movie, and it’s peaceful until James starts pinching at the fat of your stomach, “James!” you gasp hitting his shoulder and your hands go to grab his trying to stop his pinching.

And you reckon if it was anyone but James Potter you might've killed them for it.

He looks up at you, smirking at your fed-up expression and you roll your eyes trying to hold back the smile that teeters on your lips, “Asshole” you divert your attention back to the movie, trying to avoid his eye contact.

“I’m sorry” he mumbles, lips grazing your neck, and he can feel your pulse against his skin and he peppers delicate kisses against your neck trailing up to your jaw.

And you try your best to ignore him, as he mumbles more apologies, but it’s easier said than done especially when his kisses turn needier and the way his thumb draws circles into your hip coaxing you to look at him.

“Forgive me?” He whispers, and you purse your lips trying to focus on the movie that's still playing.

James takes a moment, thinking of how to win your attention and he smirks when he gets an idea, leaving opened-mouthed kisses along your neck trailing up to your pulse point, a clash of teeth and tongue dragging along your skin, “James” you warn and you feel him snicker against you.

“Do you forgive me now?” He asks, sitting up to admire your face, how the warm light of the lamp sits against your skin, so pretty, he thinks looking down at you with the most loving eyes.

You smile at him, “Yes I do”

“Yeah?”

“Yes” you giggle as his hands cup your jaw, fingers pressed against your cheek, turning your head to face him, he leans down to press a kiss to the corner of your mouth then another and another and another.

He peppers kisses all over your face, hands cupping against either side of your face squishing your cheeks together, and you groan trying to push him away but it’s impossible when he’s sitting on his knees in between your legs.

“Oh my god, James what’s gotten into you?” You giggle, fingers wrapping around his wrists as you bring his hands away from your face, and he looks at you as if you’ve asked the most obvious question ever.

You watch as he huffs, “I’ve missed you, I was at practice all day” he says smushing his face against your neck, laying his body weight against you.

“Just let me love on you sweetheart,” he says with a teasing smile, and you shake your head finally giving up as you let him lay against you.

Your arms wrap around his shoulders and your hands settle against his back as he rests his head in the crook of your neck, he can smell the sweet perfume he’d brought you for your birthday and he hums in contentment as the flowery scent pleasantly surrounds him.

“You’re still coming to my game tomorrow?” He asks, and you can tell he’s getting tired by his tone, your fingers graze along his spine.

You turn to press a kiss to his forehead, “Of course I am, wouldn’t miss it for anything” you tell him and you can feel him smile, his chest blooms with adoration, and you go back to watching the movie as he falls asleep wrapped up in your arms, and you know that by the time he wakes up your going to have seriously bad pins and needles but you don’t mind, it's worth it.

Restless Nights

Restless nights

{You can’t sleep and James stays up with you}

just a little something because I'm fighting off sleep to finish decorating my room!

⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆

12:40 am. The clock reads as if it’s almost taunting you, and you let out a groan of frustration as you fling the covers from your body, you were so tired and yet your body did everything in its power to prevent you from getting sleep.

And you don’t know what it is, maybe because your shirt keeps twisting in an uncomfortable way, or the fabric is too itchy or maybe it’s your pillows, or the quilt? whatever it might be it’s preventing you from sleeping.

So you quietly creep out of bed, careful of James who is entirely enveloped by sleep, and you can't help but feel a little envious of how fast he can fall asleep, you swear his head hits the pillow and he’s gone sometimes.

You make your way to the kitchen, the cold tiles sending a shiver up your spine as you rub your eyes, as they adjust to the light, before flicking the kettle on, you decided that perhaps some tea might help you find dreamland, although you knew that was just wishful thinking.

A minute or so has passed, and you’re sitting on a stool skimming through a book you found, your body slouched with exhaustion as you stare mindlessly at the words, cursing yourself silently when you hear James call your name. You're taken out of your trance, and you watch over your shoulder, as he rubs at his eyes, still very sleepy

James wraps his arms around you, head resting in the crook of your neck. “You scared me, thought the boogeyman took you,” he says, sleep lacing his voice, he smiles into your skin as you let out a small giggle, his warm hands dipping underneath your shirt to settle against your belly.

A slight sense of guilt pinches at your heart for waking him up, “Sorry, I just can’t sleep— I don’t know what’s wrong with me” you whisper, with a wobble to your voice, a build-up of emotions.

James pulls back slightly his hands holding your hips as he swivels your stool to turn you around, “Hey, It’s alright lovely, is there anything I can do to make it better?” He asks, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead.

You look over at the clock, 1:09 am, wincing at the sight you knew James had to be up early for Quidditch practice and the blame of waking him up settles uncomfortably in your chest, you can’t stop the tears that well up in your eyes, a harsh mixture of exhaustion and guilt.

He notices the build-up of tears that collect in your eyes, as he tuts softly, “I’m sorry James, it’s so late and you’ve got to be up early— you’re going to be so tired in the morning” you ramble tears falling down the curve of your cheeks.

His thumb gently wipes them away as you continue to whisper your apologies, his eyebrows crease together in concern, he hates seeing you cry, he hates the pain that laces through your tone, it hurts him to see.

“No, don’t cry lovely, it’s alright- I’ll be alright,” he tells you and you look up at him with a tearful smile, god he was just too sweet.

He holds your face gently in his hands as you cry softly, letting all the emotions out and he tries so hard to rack his tired brain for things that’ll make you feel better, anything to stop your tears.

He waits until your cries have settled, “Come here lovely girl” he says taking your hand as he guides you to the living room, he turns on the tv before joining you on the sofa.

“James, what are you doing?” You ask watching as lays down opening his arms for you.

“I’m staying up with you until feel tired, then we’ll go to bed, yeah?” he smiles and he can see the hesitation in your eyes as he tugs on your hand urging you to lay between his legs, how could you say no to that?

You rest your chin against his chest smiling up at him as he leans down awkwardly to press a soft kiss against your lips, his hands resting against the small of your back.

“You’re too good to me” you whisper, watching as he flicks through the different tv shows before finally settling on some random documentary about the ocean.

His fingers run along your back, and the gentle sensation calms your heart and you suddenly feel a lot better, and you swear James only has the power to make you feel so loved.

“You only deserve the best angel” he presses a kiss to the top of your head, smiling at the way you nuzzle into him, you know there’s no point in trying to disagree with that, James is stubborn especially when it comes to you.

James waits and waits until he can feel you trying to fight off the sleep to guide you back to bed, where you snuggle into him while his hand soothes your back and your legs entwine underneath the warm blankets, smiling at the way you go languid in his arms, "Goodnight lovely" he whispers before he himself goes back to sleep.
