The Maximals of Eukaris are one of the oldest known cybertronian factions, having their origins with the prime Leige Maximo. While most modern Maximals have beast modes, that has not always been the case. Frankly, most modern cybertronians have no concept of Maximals thanks to the Leige having gained a far more prevalent reputation as the prime that brought the age of primes to an end. This is due to his manipulation of Megatronus, and the catastrophic aftermath of the death of Solus Prime. Nobody, not even the modern Maximals know where the prime is located, and they have since disassociated themselves from their former master.
