Does anyone wanna take this prompt for Miraculous Ladybug? [If so please tag me or msg me if your going to take this.]
Ideas for Prompts:
Salt/Bashing: Lila Salt, Bustier Salt, Damocles Salt, Alya Bashing, Adrien Bashing Sugar/Redemption: Nino Sugar, Chloe Redemption, Akuma Class Redemption Pairings: Chloe/Nino, Lukagami, Felinette Others: Bad Teacher Caline Bustier, Lila Rossi Exposed, Jealous Adrien, Endgame Felinette
Let's say Lila got exposed by Marinette's Circle Squad (as in Nino, Chloe, Kagami, Alix, Sabrina, Max, Kim, Rose, Nora Cesaire, Juleka, Luka, Felix, and Aurore) while Marinette had stayed home cause her parents is not letting her go to school cause of victim blaming that they got angry on Bustier telling her about their daughter 'to be an example' which really pissed Sabine off.
Sabine is willing to do this to keep her daughter happy but also suing Bustier, Damocles, Lila, Alya, and lastly Adrien even though she didn't want to but she heard enough from her daughter that he is bystanding this whole situation and telling her little girl to 'take a high road' advice which is a horrible advice.
Instead of expelling Lila like she wanted to do she must remain in the school and learn to be an outcast after being outted last Friday when her mother found out about her crimes and trauncy from her classmates but also participating classes by doing her own homework and attend two months of detentions. The police and the School Board Member found something interesting on the school footage then show it to Mrs. Rossi that her daughter is willing to assist terrorist.
As Lila is remain house arrest along with the restraining order from The Dupain-Chengs but also being banned from their bakery except her mother who is a regular customer that comes to the bakery once a while.
As for Bustier and Damocles both got sued by two parents from Marinette after all the stress they gave her she has to go theraphy. Chloe volunteered to be Temporary Ladybug as Dame Taches (Lady Spots) while Marinette goes to theraphy for a good reason for her health being Ladybug for too long was a bit stressful and need a break so she can be the Dragon Miraculous while Kagami became the Temporary Black Cat.
As for the Black Cat Miraculous it was taken away from Chat Noir/Adrien by Ladybug last Sunday about his incompetnent behavior it is now Kagami's job as a temporary Black Cat as Kuroneko. Now for the Bee Miraculous it was lent to Nora Cesaire since she was the only one that Marinette can think of doing instead of Alya since Nora knows the truth what her sister did to Marinette.
Chloe called Amelie Graham de Vanily and Felix to come over to Paris but stay in her hotel than in the Agreste Mansion but told them the whole fiasco with Adrien being passive and other stuff. Chloe also suggested to Marinette to give Felix the Fox Miraculous he will be the Temporary Fox Hero. Since Sabrina has the dog miraculous with her just in case.
Now for Adrien he finally found out thanks to Lila that Marinette likes him. But its far too late for him since Marinette is over with him and her parents doesn't want him near their little girl anymore.

Ladies and Gentlemen: Stephan Vladislav
So, a lot of you have been requesting a part two of this story so here it is. It wonât be as long as the last one, just so you know. Iâve been skimming the web for pictures that match the image of Stephan Vladislav in my head and this is what I came up with. Just imagine him with black hair and the same clothes I described him with in âLadies and Gentlemen: Himâ. Enjoy!

It wasnât a challenge figuring out Adrien and Chat Noir were one in the same.
Honestly, the parallels were obvious. The selfishness, the inability to take anything seriously, and not to mention the same whiny and annoying voice.
Stephan didnât really pay the heroes any mind before discovering Bratdrienâs identity. He thought that it was a miracle that Ladybug was at least mature about fights and handling the public. Where as Adrien treated heroing as a means to be a celebrity. Because it wasnât enough that all of Paris viewed him a ray sunshine.
The ravenette liked fame, but he was a model. Not a hero with the weight of an entire city on their shoulders.
He didnât think Adrien would stoop this low.
What is he saying?
He saw it coming a mile away.
The Russian boy leaned closer to the door of Marinetteâs bedroom to get a clearer view of what that mangy alley cat was telling her.
The two were partners on an assigned project from Bustier about the heroes of Paris in honor of Heroâs Day. It was due in two weeks and Marinette suggested they should get started with it and invited him over.
âHey, Princess? I donât think you should associate yourself with that Stephan guy. He sounds like bad news,â Chat said in a voice Stephan was sure he thought sounded concerned. The ravenette did his best to remain calm and in control.
âStephan? He seems so nice. He defends me whenever a certain someone tries to pull their little tricks,â Marinette rose to Stephanâs defense immediately. Said boy felt his heart flutter warmly. Even in the face of a hero, beloved by all of Paris (that wouldnât last long if Stephan could help it!) she was able to stand up for him.
His affection for the Asian girl grew.
âBut he caused Lilaâs akuma a week ago. Not to mention heâs been bullying a kid named Adrien. How can you feel ok with hanging out with someoneâs bully?â Adrien asked in his same trademark disappointed voice. Stephan rolled his eyes. As if there werenât other obvious ways to reveal your identity. Who ever considered the blonde would make a good hero had to be a senile old man or something.
âOh really?â The Russian was momentarily surprised at the disdainful tone the blunetteâs voice took, âIf your so worried about akumas, then why do you never complain when Chloe went around being the primary cause of akumanizations? Yes sheâs gotten better, but that doesnât change the fact that Adrien was friendly with her back when she was a bully. So did he ever think about how we would feel when ever he hung out with her. And donât even get me started on Lila. Adrien wouldnât know a manipulator even if it slapped him in the face. For someone whoâs never been bullied, heâs quick to force everyone to feel sorry for them.â
Stephan could feel the surprise coming from Chat as Marinette unknowingly insulted Adrien to his face. On the other hand, a smirk creeped onto his face. It seems Bratdrien had unknowingly created skeletons in his closet even before the Russian had moved to Paris.
It was perfect.
It would be too suspicious if all the problems with Adrien started up when Stephan enrolled in Francois Dupont. If he brought up unflattering things Adrien did in the past when he wasnât present, it would be a much more believable and clever way of getting rid of him.
The stupid cat continued his âhigher than thouâ speech disguised as a lecture, âI donât know what Stephanâs been telling you but Adrienâs right. Making a bad guy suffer wonât change them into a good guy.â
By this point, Stephan prepared to enter the room until Marinette said something that made him stop.
âThen, why are you and Ladybug fighting Hawkmoth?,â the Russian heard her say accusingly.
âWhat?â Came the alley catâs choked response.
âIf making a bad guy suffer doesnât work to make them a good guy, than why are you still fighting Hawkmoth?â The fashion designer repeated again.
âW-what? Because heâs a terrorist! And if we donât stop him, heâll just continue making everyone miserable!â Stephan could tell that Adrien was beginning to falter.
âThatâs exactly the case with bullies,â Marinette shut him down with certainty.
âBullies arenât Hawkmoth or Mayura. Thatâs different.â
âIs it though? Adrien told me that exposing Lila was a bad idea. And now look what happened; she got me expelled, ruined my and my friends reputations in class, and turned them against us. I should have never listened to a person who has no experience with dealing with bullies,â the Asian girl was clearly getting frustrated with the conversation.
Stephan was proud of his soon to be girlfriend. When he first met her, she was hesitant and only kept her head down when the class accused her of what the Italian girl told them. It seemed the âgirls night outsâ that Chloe and Alya dragged her to were doing wonders for her confidence.
âAdrienâs new to the social life. You have no right to talk about him like heâs the bad guy,â For someone meant to be a hero, he let his emotions and personal problems guide his actions.
âThan he has no business in being disappointed with me whenever I defend myself. And please, itâs been a year and a half since Adrien attended public school. If he still doesnât understand social situations by now, itâs because he doesnât want to learn,â Marinette dismissed Chatâs defense of the blonde.
âHow could you say that?â Adrienâs voice was judgmental.
Marinette sighed, âEven if Adrien is an enabler, I donât want him to get bullied. Iâll try asking Stephan about it. Just leave, Chat.â Stephan swore quietly in Russian. He had taken to verbally tearing Adrien apart in private and even worse when they were around others. Of course, he did it subtly, there was no doubt Marinette might pick up on it if he did it again. Looks like heâll have to find another tactic to make Bratdrien miserable. Not including ruining Chat Noirâs reputation.
And he knew just how to do it.
When the leather clad hero (thankfully) left, Stephan waited for two more minutes before entering Marinetteâs bedroom to avoid her suspicion of eavesdropping.
The Russian was relieved when the Asian girl didnât bring up what Chat had told her. But Adrien was going down.
After the class president stunt, the model thought that the blonde boy would have enough sense not to mess with Stephan Vladislav. He had no idea who taught the blonde model to be this pathetic but it truly was a shame.
Stephan knew it didnât have to be like this. He never wanted it to be like this. He didnât want to have to shove Adrien into the dirt like the miscreant he was, but he was making it too easy.
A part of him was flattered. The Agreste heir saw him as that much of a threat that he had to use his hero persona in a failed attempt to get Marinette to side with his civilian counterpart.
He had a plan. He and Marinette finished a good portion of the projects and parted ways. He made sure to behave like a gentleman, a side he only saved for her to combat Chat Noirâs opinion on him and make the bluenette doubt the leather clad hero.
The two just blended together as the designer genuinely enjoyed Stephanâs company. She felt her heart flutter and cheeks warm whenever he smiled at her. She never experienced any of this with Adrien. He even earned Tikkiâs seal of approval.
Later, the young Vladislav surfed the internet and leveled every media sight he could find. He even ventured into the wasteland that was tabloid blogs for anything he could use to discredit Chat Noir. Through his internet dive, he found one blog; The Trashiness of Chat Noir. The userâs name was âNoir-saltâ. On it was countless videos and clips of the leather clad boy making jokes and goofing off during fights. Following was pictures of the alley cat flirting with a clearly uncomfortable Ladybug. Getting into her space, kissing her hand, and even the kiss from âOblivioâ.
Stephanâs face was nearly folded in two from the grin that played on his lips. The blog itself wasnât popular, but that was about to change today. He quickly copied the link of the blog and opened his Instagram and Twitter accounts. He then created new posts with the link attached to them and published it for the world to see.
He even posted them in the comments in one of Alyaâs most recent post. Opening up the Face-to-Face website with Nadia Chamack, he submitted the blog for daily news under his name. The combination of Chatâs less than stellar behavior paired with the fact that Stephan Vladislav himself submitted would be too hard to ignore.
The fallout was epic.
The news spread like wild fire. Nadia broadcasted it to all of Paris. Television screens analyzed and ripped apart Chat Noir to shreds. The whole scandal resulted in Parisians coming out and explaining how they each suffered Chat Noirâs incompetence. Mr. Rainer in particular told the local news about how the leather clad boy pestered him often about how he felt. Implying heavily if he felt any negative emotions and sulking when he replied that he felt fine.
This sparked city ride outrage. How could a hero want the citizens he swore to protect fall victim to Hawkmoth?
Said villain was having a field day with the negative emotions that swallowed Paris like a tidal wave. Several akumas came out of the blow up, all of them with the same single minded goal; vengeance against Chat Noir who they deemed to be a false hero.
A slight feeling of momentary guilt crept up his spine as he saw how heart broken Alya and Nino looked. They all sat in the Bakery along with two other friends; Luka and Kagami.
Luka strummed soothing melodies on his guitar to calm everyoneâs tense nerves. Kagami appeared agitated as she continued scrolling through the blog which started it all. Nino was calming down a furious Alya who looked ready to burn everything down if someone so much as blinked at her the wrong way. Chloe raved on and on about how she knew all along that the âmangy cat wasnât good enough for Ladybug. Ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous!â
They were all targets in Hawkmothâs firing range.
Stephan wrapped a comforting arm around Marinette who seemed down in the dumps ever since the news aired. He supposed it made sense. The way Chat Noir spoke to the bluenette seemed way to familiar for it to only have happened once. The Russian assumed that Marinette felt betrayed by someone who she considered a friend.
Little did he know how deep the betrayal went. Marinette knew the feline hero had his flaws, but didnât they all? Except, with all the evidence and the publicâs negative opinion, the weight of Chatâs behavior hit her like a freight train.
The Asian girl felt like she had been doused in cold water. She leaned into Stephanâs embrace, the only form of comfort she could find. She considered Chat to be her best friend, one in a million. Sure, the way he professed his love for her on patrol and on the battle field was grating on her nerves. Not to mention him declaring that they were soulmates because of their miraculous.
So it had been an absolute shock to hear just how much people had been suffering from Chatâs inability to take anything seriously. Injuries, destroyed house, and even in the rare instances: death.
She shivered at how awful in must have been to watch civilians die, even if it was just a few. No wonder all of Paris was furious at the leather clad boy.
Her musings were interrupted with a loud crash located from outside and several screams.
As it turns out, a seven year old boy who looked up to Chat Noir felt so betrayed and hurt that he wanted to learn what else the cat was hiding behind his charismatic persona. Thus, he became the akuma âHeads and Tailsâ because there are two sides to every person.
The child revealed all that he could. Projections were scattered all across Paris displaying each of the heroâs misdeeds: Chat Noirâs childish behavior, how he left during fights whenever Ladybug wouldnât cater to his tantrums, and how much said spotted heroine struggled to defeat more of the stronger akumas the moth villain created.
Any slack the citizens wanted to give the leather wearing hero was subsequently destroyed, especially since Heads and Tailsâ had projector like powers and broadcasted the past events for everyone and their mother to see.
But their was one particular clip that made everyone in the bakeryâs hearts stop. They were currently outside after having followed the noise of the first crash the akuma made.
âThatâs Marinetteâs room!â Alya screamed in horror.
The projector portrayed a very familiar scene to Marinette. When her room was destroyed by Baby Augustâs akuma. And Chat just standing there trying to get a kiss from Ladybug. Everyone watching was horrified. They knew it was possible the Chat Noir wasnât aware of some of the injuries or deaths he may have caused but to see one happening in front him and focus on flirting with Ladybug who was clearly trying to do her job?
Luka and Nino were in complete shock, Alya and Chloe looked at the projection in enraged disbelief, Kagami as well as Marinetteâs parents looked ready to throw down, and Marinette looked like a deer in headlights.
Stephan was furious. He would make sure that Adrien would never see the light of day ever again.
He swore it.
The aftermath of the akuma had left people grumbling about the mangy alley cat. Celebrities made their disapproval known, especially Jagged Stone who had blasted the feline hero in his last concert and how dare he put his honorary niece in danger.
Coincidentally, the Leather clad boy was no where to be seen. But Stephan knew that Adrienâs reputation as Chat was beyond repair and was most likely waiting for the storm to pass like the cowardly waste of space he was.
The Russian boy enjoyed everyone moment when someone for their class would make a jeer about the leather wearing hero and watching the blonde model wilt in on himself whenever someone else added in their two cents.
Lila made a whole spectacle about the ordeal. âPoor Ladybugâ and âI told her Chat Noir was bad news and that I would have made a better partner!â
Little did she know her grip on the class was slowly wavering courtesy of Stephan.
He had decided to take a round about approach to dismantling the liar rather than outright laying the evidence down. Knowing her, sheâd probably say it was fabricated. Knowing the class, theyâd be gullible enough to believe it.
He started with Alya. Whenever Lila mentioned her many âcelebrity connectionsâ and how she could âtotally introduce you to them. They see me as family,â Stephan would pull some strings to get his friends to meet some.
The ravenette casually brought up that it would be a good idea for Alya to start another blog for her reporting. Itâs always a good idea to have multiple for when she applied to colleges.
âYeah, I have been thinking about it for a while. But what would I report? Iâm so used to akuma fights, everything else just seems so stale compared to that,â Alya admitted.
âWhy not a few celebrities and debunking articles? I can get you in contact with some,â Stephan offered as ran his hands through his curly black hair.
âNo way. Thatâll make me feel like Iâm using you. Besides Marinette already helped the Ladyblog by getting me my first interview with Ladybug. I want to try this on my own,â Alya explained while scrolling through the new blog she was creating.
âWord on the street is countless news stations are fighting tooth and nail to get you to intern with them. Iâm sure they can supply you with what you need. And since they are doing so because of your talent, it would be less of you using me and more of me giving you a little nudge,â he finished with a smirk.
And thatâs exactly what he did. He teamed up with Marinette to convince Alya to start up another blog and except a summer internship at a local news station.
Since Clara Nightingale adored Marinette and her friends, she easily agreed to an interview when Stephan reached out to her. The interview was a hit and âA Scoop of Parisâ, Alyaâs new blog for Paris related news, took off.
With Nino, it was the same thing. Adam Rachad, a well known Parisian director and music producer, had seen Ninoâs popular website, Turtle Pictures and wanted to extend a favor and collaborate with him. Stephan contacted him with Nino present and organized phone call with Nino present. When the glasses wearing boy sealed the deal, he gave the model the biggest hug.
Chloe was more complicated. While the blonde female was still into business, it wasnât a secret to Stephan that she wanted her motherâs attention. So, the Russian boy met and spoke to the Style Queen at her next fashion show displaying her new summer coming line. It was still April, but it might has well have been summer due to the warm weather.
At first, the Fashion Queen was skeptical about letting her daughter model like the young Vladislav had suggested, he heavily implied that Chloe had the summer looks, not to mention the fact that she bore a similar resembling to Audrey herself could make the world go wild.
Chloeâs first photoshoot happened a week after. The camera just loved her. When #QueenChloeBourgeois and #ModelQueenBourgeois began trending on Twitter, Audrey congratulated Chloe (using her real name) and called her exceptional for the second time, the addressed blonde shed a few tears.
She bought a large graphic camera setup as her way of say thanks without thanking him along with a note that said: âNow I know for sure that youâre good enough Dupain-Cheng. Go get her Vlad.â
Stephanâs cheeks reddened at the implication but he had to admit that it felt good to have the best friend stamp of approval.
It wasnât even a few days before Lila started her bragging again. This time about exotic restaurants around Paris and the celebrities she ate with.
In retaliation, Stephan took his friends out to eat at a luxury restaurant across town. He assured them that he would be paying when their concern about expenses were brought up. And they best part? It was his own money. Because of his talent with a camera, he received many internships every time they moved before coming to France, so he amassed a lot of wealth on his own. He may be rich but he also enjoyed being independent. Which was more than he could say for Adrien.
The food was exquisite. Alya and Chloe made sure to take as many photos of the place. Alya for her blog, and Chloe to shove it in Lila and her sheepsâ faces.
They didnât get to meet a celebrity but seeing Marinette so happy and starstruck was worth. After all, he planned to take her here more often when they hopefully began dating, but he still had yet to ask her.
At first, he had only done this to slowly expose Lila for the fraud that she was, but as he continued, he realized that he enjoyed making the others happy. Before coming to France, Stephan was selfish, manipulative, confident, and cared only about himself and his goals. The only exceptions were his parents.
He was still selfish and manipulative, but he was willing to used those traits to fight for people he cared about. Not that he would ever say it out loud.
Anything Lila had claimed she could do or had done Stephan had done ten times over. So much so that even the sycophantic cult began to notice. The Italian was so busy sharing her stories that she hadnât noticed the way several faces would twist into slight annoyance and discomfort.
And thatâs exactly how they felt. They all saw the pictures of Stephan and the others. How could they not when they were blowing up on social media? Seeing their careers take off while they waited for Lila to introduce them to celebrities she had been bragging about for over a year. It made them bitter and resent her.
What was the point of telling them about her âamazing lifeâ if she couldnât even prove it? They all stewed while they listened to Ms. Mendeleievâs lecture about the human ears and hearing until Rose raised her hand.
âCan you get tinnitus from being to close to an airplane engine?â The question sounded innocent enough.
The purple haired teacher turned to the pixie blonde before raising an eyebrow and answering her inquiry, âNo. Tinnitus is a ringing in the ear. If you were to be exposed to an air plane engine youâd go deaf.â
It was like a fog had been lifted.
After class, Ms. Bustierâs students researched everything Lila told them. Every grand trip, tales of celebrities, every award. Part of them didnât want to do this. They didnât want to believe that their golden ticket was lying to them. But with all the talk and no action, it aroused their suspicion.
They found nothing. Nothing at all.
It didnât take long for them to come running back to the others they had isolated from the class, but they didnât react the way theyâd hoped. Marinette and Nino accepted their apologies but made it clear that they werenât going to be friends again. Alya and Chloe didnât bother to hide their resentment and held a grudge against the class. Stephan never cared much about them and never made an emotional connection, so he was unbothered.
But it was obvious that the group had left them behind. They all were reaching new heights while the students of Bustierâs class were left to pick up the pieces of their dreams. Not before ripping into the liar in front of the entire school the next day.
Adrien tried to meekly defend Lila. She was just looking for some friends. The blonde saw no need to isolate the Italian the way they did. She would end up miserable and alone.
Stephan snorted before asking slyly why Adrien would defend someone who had been actively harming and manipulating his âfriendsâ. As expected, the clueless sheep immediately got on Adrienâs case. Said model only backed down when several classmates began questioning their friendship.
Pfft. The young Vladislav opened up the class group chat on his spare phone. He had found Alixâs phone lying around and used it to invite his anonymous account into the chat group. He quickly sent an audio recording and waited for the fireworks.
Notification bells dinged throughout the classroom asynchronously. Each student reached into their pockets, desks, and backpacks for their phones and confusion crept onto their faces as they saw the recording anonymous user had sent.
âDoes anyone know who this is?â Mylene asked the gathered students.
âNot sure. I donât think anyone in this class is anonymous,â Alix answered.
âThere is a 67% chance that this is a hacker. The other 33% are unknown,â Max was as statistical as always as he pushed up his glasses.
âWell, letâs see what it is! It canât hurt right?â Sabrina piped up as she pressed play.
Total silence filled the room as Adrienâs voice was heard. The room had dropped several degrees when they heard the blonde admitting to knowing Lila was a liar. Not to mention gaslighting Marinette into staying quiet.
It was the recording from when Stephan had first threatened the blonde model. He cut out the threats of course.
When the recording finished, dirty looks, glares, and eyes of betrayel landed on the Agreste heir who had paled dramatically.
There was a beat of silence before everyone began screaming in unison. How could Adrien just stand their and watch as Lila lied to them? Said blonde tried to defend himself but it became increasingly clear that the class wasnât having it. Alix declared her friendship with Adrien over, the others following suit.
Stephan and the others in the back just watched as the chaos unravel like a ball of yarn. Ms. Bustier finally arrived and silenced the classroom to begin the dayâs lesson.
Throughout the lecture, students occasionally threw glares in Adreinâs direction. He did his level best not to make eye contact with anyone.
No one saw the rougish smile that Stephan wore. He had warned the blonde to stay out of his way. Had he listened, the Russian wouldnât have had to make him miserable. Thatâll teach him.
Meanwhile, Adrien was going through the hell Stephan created for him.
First, Lila was exposed as a liar. He felt sorry for her. Then some anonymous account revealed that he knew of the Italians lies. Everyone was angry at him for remaining silent. What would they know? He just didnât want her to get akumatized. He just knew it was Stephan who had done it. It was only the two of them in the hallway and Stephanâs threats were cut out, only incriminating Adrien.
His father was still furious for letting Nicolas Vladislav claim Marinette as his intern. If only Stephan had stayed out of the way. Now Gabriel was barely even talking to him.
He couldnât even enjoy being Chat Noir anymore to cheer himself up. After the fallout that destroyed his reputation, he received backlash from every prominent website. He couldnât even go out on patrol without someone glaring at him and spitting hateful comments. And yet again, it was all Stephanâs fault. He never once considered himself to be at fault. After all, it was Ladybug who refused him.
And when he had tried to visit Marinette as Chat to try and remove the cotton from her eyes, she insulted him as Adrien and as Chat Noir at the same time! It was so frustrating!
The blonde was having trouble coping. He was so used to being loved and adored by the general public that he thought it impossible for anyone to hate him. Now that both of his personalities were under fire, there was no where he could hide behind or escape to.
It was a miracle he was still managing to keep his grades steady. The blonde wanted support, but Plagg was also giving him the cold shoulder as he did his best to fend off the ravenetteâs attacks.
In his loneliness, he threw himself into modeling. The one thing that Stephan Vladislav couldnât take from him. Until he did.
After the plethora of photo shoots Adrien had done and the many Stephan had accomplished, people began theorizing that the two models had some sort of rivalry.
The werenât wrong.
Gabriel was pleased with his sonâs change of attitude and the prospect of potentially rivaling Nicolas Vladislavâs fashion company.
Sunshine vs Eclipse was all the fashion world could talk about. There were billboards of each model. Each one trying to one up the last.
Laurice Vladislav loved it. She loved the idea so much that she created a new magazine cover for the rivalry. A phot shoot Adrien was supposed to have already booked.
Stephan looked over his reflection in the mirror after the stylists left. He smiled, satisfied with what he saw. The smile quickly turned into something darker when he saw a familiar face on the reflective surface.
Spinning his chair around, the Russian model fixed an amused expression at the blonde model, âDo want to take a picture? Weâre about to start the photo shoot in two minutes. Youâll be able to keep one of me if you want. Itâll last longer.â
Adrien didnât laugh.
âAre you happy now? Youâve turned everyone against me and ruining my life!â he bit out, the frustration boiling too wildly for him to tame.
âSo? I gave you a choice. I told you to stay away from Marinette. You didnât. I told you to stay out of my way and keep your head down. You also didnât. I wasnât about to let some scion get in the way of my goals and Marinetteâs affection,â Stephan raised his eyebrows in a way that showed how little he cared for the blondeâs misfortune.
Adrien glared at him with the same amount of venom the Russian would expect from a peasant. He rolled his eyes at the weak intimidation attempt.
âYouâve turned Marinette into a bad person. She doesnât want to be friends with anyone in the class anymore. I bet you donât even care her or the others. Knowing you, youâre probably just using them for your own ends,â the blonde spat. He didnât bother mentioning that the ravenette had also ruined being Chat Noir for him, single handedly ripping away his freedom from him.
The look Stephan gave him was awful. That was probably the worst thing Adrien couldâve said in that moment.
Stephan marched forward and grabbed Adrien by his collar, âYou shut your mouth. I care about Marinette more than you ever did. I went out of my way to help the others. I spent time with her. Listened to her. Comforted her when akumas came after her after a bad day. I never pushed her. I respect her boundaries. I donât invalidate her feelings like you do. And I certainly donât expect her to play nice with her bully. Even if she doesnât except my feelings, Iâd be more than happy to recieve her friendship,â Yes he would be absolutely crushed as Marinette was the first and only person he fell so hard for. He went out his way to sabotage and threaten someone just to be with her. But he wasnât planning to confess to her yet.
Slowly but surely, Stephan had begun to include Marinette into the limelight more and more. First were small gestures like holding hands and standing in close proximity. But not too close as he didnât want the bluenette to feel uncomfortable. Then it drifted into hugs and more love like gestures. Some of the backgrounds used were the Seine River, the Effie Tower, and various locations used for dates and love confessions. Every passing photo portrayed them as a young couple in love to the entirety of Paris, just what the ravenette had been aiming for. People were already betting on when the two of them would start dating. Stepheinette was what everyone was calling a power couple. Everything was perfect and no piece of cowardly blonde garbage was going to ruin it.
Especially since Kagami, Chloe, and Alya pulled him aside and gave him the shovel talk. Break Marinetteâs heart, and theyâd break him the same way.
He wasnât really worried. He hadnât planned on breaking the blunetteâs heart to begin with.
The three girls were very aware of what Stephan was doing and supported it, so long as he wasnât trying to push himself onto Marinette. Of course , he would never do that. He valued her comfort before his own goals and made sure never to cross any of those lines with her.
Adrien wasnât backing down, âYou claim that you donât expect her play nice with her bully but your just like Lila!â
The young Vladislav laughed in the blondeâs face.
Adrien sputtered at his reaction, âWhatâs so funny!?â He demanded.
Stephan calmed down enough to answer Adrien, âYou say Iâm just like Lila? Please, the two of us are nothing alike. Sheâs lazy, has no talent, and has a number of delusions. Not counting the one where she thinks her sausage hair is stylish,â He gestured to the space around them, âI achieved everything Iâve done with my own hands. I brought my rivals down with an iron fist. She swears sheâs the master manipulator and liar, but she is so far beneath my level that the idea of someone comparing us is laughable.â The Russian spoke in a smug, vindicated voice.
âYouâre both liars and donât care about who you hurt to achieve your goals!â The blonde model protested.
âBut I thought she was just lonely and in need of friends,â Stephan threw the words that Adrien used to excuse Lilaâs actions back in his face.
The blonde in question stammered as he indeed contradicted himself. Now he sounded like a hypocrite. Never mind that he already was one.
The Russian gave a sly grin as he continued to decimate the male in front of him, âI amassed my own money from hard work. Iâm intelligent as well as talented. I destroyed the reputation of one of Parisâ most beloved heroes. I decimated countless wealthy people and their reputations in ruins. I made an image for myself. Not just as my fatherâs son unlike someone. I took over Francois Dupont. Lila and I are nothing alike. Tell me, do you think Lila could achieve all of this?â
There was only silence as his answer.
âI thought so,â he shoved past Adrien as the camera man announced three more minutes before starting.
The blonde could only watch as Stephan left, wordlessly. It dawned on him that he was right.
What could he do against someone like that? He was like a super villain without a costume. He was smart, talented, independent, and self sufficient. While Adrien was still stuck in his fatherâs shadow.
Life wasnât fair.
Meanwhile, Stephan smirked as he stood in front of the camera.
He was a King and if you displeased to the King, you get banished. Just ask Adrien or Lila.
Kings get whatever they want, especially if it was a Queen.
(Else where across Paris, Marinette sneezed)
And whenever the Russian saw something he wanted, he would always get it.
He was Stephan Vladislav wasnât he?

Ceremonial Kisses (Part 2 of 3)
Ahhhhh, thank you for all the support Iâve gotten on this fic! It is with great pleasure I present to you *trumpet noise* Part 2 of Ceremonial Kisses!
I apologize for the huge wait, and Iâm really sorry about my update schedule in general.Â
Also, you might notice that around the middle of this chapter, the writing gets a little bit choppy, and Iâm super sorry about that! My apartment just decided to evict anyone with a cat, and Iâm under a lot of stress right now. Thankfully, it gets smoother towards the end!
Happy reading!
Part 1 | Part 3
                          -đ¸-
After ten minutes of gorging themselves on the Chinese equivalents of Kit-Kats and Lays chips, they pulled up to a hotel.
âWhaf, wewenât we goih to da cashale?â Nino asked, his mouth stuffed with cookies. Marinette shot him a disgusted look. He swallowed and took a swig of soda. âWait, werenât we going to the castle?â

This here is part one
Ladies and Gentlemen: Him
Ladies and Gentlemen: Stephan Vladislav

Chapter 2
XY was staring at the ceiling. A week has already passed. And he still couldn't stop thinking about the day he spent with Marinette. It was the most fun he'd had in a while.
Before the whole Silencer fiasco, his father would not stop pressuring him to produce a new song. So when they met up for dinner and his dad came up with the idea of stealing someone else's music, he couldnât bring himself to decline.
XY knew it was wrong.
But all he wanted was the chance to finally impress his dad. Bob Roth might not have the best attitude towards him, but he was all XY had left.
Xy already lost his mom. He would not lose his dad too.
At least, that's what he believed. He should've known that his father was just using him for money. According to his dad, money was the most valuable thing in life.
XY scoffed. He should've known better. He should've known that all his father thought of hi-
He felt a buzz in his pocket and his face immediately brightened. Marinette just texted him!
Marinette: what's up?
Marinette: have u been inspired yet?
Marinette gave XY the idea to just sit back and let inspiration hit him. It was a common idea but it was one that most people tend to forget in the long run.
XY: nothing much
XY: and nope.
XY: my dad has been pressuring me to come up with something tho
Marinette: ignore him
Marinette: he's just mad cause he can't get any ladies
The three dots popped up on his screen.
Marinette: OH CRAP I'M LATE
Marinette: TTYL.
XY rolled his eyes and smiled.
They've been texting back and forth these past few days. He's learned so many things about her and vice versa.
It was nice. It's been a while since XY has had a friend.
Maybe she'll be even more, XY couldnât help but think as he ran a hand through his hair.
"Huh," XY said out loud. "Even more"
And just like that, inspiration for his next song hit him.

Marinette was thinking of a certain blonde-haired, blue-eyed musician when she heard her phone ring.
"Tikki!" she screamed, staring at her phone as if it was Hawkmoth himself.. "He's calling me. XY is calling me."
Tikki sighed and floated next to Marinette, "Maybe you should answer it. It would be pretty rude to keep him waiting."
"Right, right," Marinette answered his call and hoped her voice didnât sound as squeaky as she thought it did.. "Hey."
"Hey."
There was a moment of awkward silence.
Marinette didnât know what to do. She glanced at the small goddess.
Tikki rolled her eyes at their awkwardness as she gestured to the phone. Ask him why he called you, she mouthed to Marinette.
Marinette nodded. That was a smart idea. "So," Marinette cleared her throat. "Why did you call me?"
"Right, Uhm." Marinette heard him shuffling around his room. "You know how you've been asking me if I was inspired and stuff?"
Marinette's eyes grew wide and a huge smile took over her face as she started to nod before remembering that he couldn't see her. "Yep." she eagerly said, "Did you find any?"
"Yes!" Marinette could hear the excitement in his voice. "I was actually wondering if you wanted to design the outfits for my music video."
Marinette's eyes looked shocked. "Yes!" she jumped around in excitement before remembering she was still in a call with XY. "Why me though?"
XYâs voice sounded confused.. "What do you mean, why you? You're literally perfect for it. You're talented. Plus, everyone loves your designs."
Marinetteâs cheeks resembled a tomato. She has never been more thankful for the fact that he couldn't see her right now.
"Thank you." Marinette managed to mumble. "That really means a lot."
"You're welcome." XY said. Marinette had a feeling he was smiling though. "I have to go and have my dad listen to the demo. But I'll text you later, okay?"
"Yep," Marinette whispered and gave Tikki a cookie. "Good luck. I know that whatever song you came up with is gonna sound good. No matter what he'll say."
Marinette heard a faint "Thanks" from the phone before the call ended.
Marinette screamed into her pillow and looked up and saw Tikki look at her with amusement. âI think I like him.â
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
"So, what do you think?" XY asked as his father finished listening to his song. "Is it bad? Do you think people will like it?"
Bob Roth grinned at his son. "This is a Masterpiece. Where did you find this?" He gestured to the video of XY singing the song, "Who did you steal this from?"
XY's proud smile immediately turned into a scowl. "What do you mean, who did I steal this from?" He yelled at his dad, his blue eyes glaring at him as he grabbed the demo from the table. "I made it. I came up with it myself." XY felt his eyes tearing up. "Something you would actually know if you thought of me as something more than a money-making machine."
How could he? XY thought as he climbed up the stairs. Is it that hard to believe that I could come up with something good?
XY slammed his door shut. "All I wanted was to prove to him that I wasn't a talentless son." XY put his hands on his face. "I just wanted to make him proud."
XY felt a buzz in his pocket and immediately knew that it was Marinette. After all, sheâs the only one that ever texts him.
Marinette: how did it go?
Marinette: did he like it?
XY wiped away the tears that were starting to come out of his eyes. He couldn't help but smile. Marinette certainly had an effect on him.
XY: he called it a masterpiece
Marinette: yes! I knew he would like it.
XY: yeah
XY: but then he asked me who i stole it from
Marinette: THAT JERK
Marinette: WTF
Marinette:Â THAT's SO MESSED UP
Marinette: HOW COULD HE-
Marinette: DO YOU WANT ME TO BEAT HIM UP FOR YOU????
XY laughed at her text messages. He only started to text her and he already felt better.
XY: no, it's fine
XY: i actually yelled at him
Marinette: ...
Marinette: do you feel better?
XY: actually, yep.
XY:Â he's a really sucky father
Marinette: for some reason, a lot of the blondes i know have a toxic parent
Marinette: it's kinda sad
XY: maybe it's a paris thing
They texted back and forth, XY laughing at the memes Marinette sent.
XY: You're definitely a daughter of Athena
Marinette: ( â _ â )
Marinette: is that a percy jackson reference i see
XY: yep
XY: have u read the books?
Marinette: duh
Marinette: you haven't lived til you've read the books

Marinette: THE MOVIES SCARED ME FOR LIFE
XY: oh yeah
XY: before i forget
XY: what's ur insta?
Marinette: which one
XY scrunched his eyebrows up in confusion.
XY: What do you mean by which one?
Marinette: i have two
Marinette: one as my personal one and the other one for commissions and stuff
XY: ohhh
XY: smart
Marinette: i know ;)
Marinette: my personal one is @Mdupaincheng and the one for my commissions one if @MDCdesigns
XY switched his apps and searched up Marinette's personal instagram. He clicked on the first result that came up.
The profile picture was Marinette in a blue, silky dress that went just above her ankle. There was a slit on her left leg that showed her knee. It was nighttime and Marinette was practically glowing under the city lights. She was staring at something on her right side, with one hand running through her silky black hair which was down for once.
She looked hot.
After XY stopped admiring her profile picture, he finally noticed her follower count.
She had 200,000 followers. 200,000.
It wasn't as high as XY's follower count, that was still quite a lot.

XY: i didn't know u were insta famous
Marinette: wdym? Â
Marinette: which acc

Marinette thought that she read his text wrong. There's no way that Marinette had that many followers. 200,000? There was no way.
Marinette: ur lying
XY: I'm not.
XY: check ur acc
It's been a while since Marinette has logged onto her personal account. The hate she got the last time she's been signed in was too much for her and when Alya told her to log out and just focus on her other account, @MDCdesigns, she couldn't bring herself to argue against her.
Marinette hasn't even thought of that account since that day. So when she logged in and saw that XY wasn't lying, she accidentally dropped her phone in shock.
Tikki looked at Marinette with a questioning look. Â
Marinette ignored her kwami and texted the blue-eyes boy back.
Marinette: HOLY SHIT
Marinette: I HAVE 200k FOLLOWERS
Marinette: HOW TF DID THAT HAPPEN
XY: when was the last time you checked ur acc

Marinette: so i did
Marinette: i haven't thought abt that acc since then
XY: the fangirls were probably just jealous

Marinette: DO I JUST CONTINUE NOT TO POST OR SHOULD I POST SOMETHING ON MY STORY ABT HOW THANKFUL I AM FOR 200k

Chapter 3
Marinette was sitting on a bench waiting for XY to arrive. She was nervous. Their conversation last night would not leave her head.
Marinette felt her cheeks heat up.Â
He called me princess.
When Chat Noir called her that she just felt annoyed. But with XY, it only made her heart beat faster.
"Marinette!" she heard a familiar voice yell. Marinette turned around and noticed XY running up to her. When he finally reached her, he was out of breath. "I've been looking all over for you." He managed to say between gasps.
Marinette looked at him up and down with a bit of disgust. "What kind of disguise is this!" she yelled at him.
XY was wearing a sage-green crewneck that says 'NIKE' in the middle with baggy jeans and black converse. His outfit wasn't the worst. In fact, Marinette liked it. But what she didn't like were the accessories she chose. He was wearing an obnoxious cowboy hat with huge sunglasses that almost covered the upper part of his face. To make it worse, XY was also wearing an obnoxiously fake mustache.
XY winced at her reaction and meekly said, "A disguise?"
Marinette let out a huff. "I can not believe I am being seen next to you right now. The fashion gods must've cursed me or something."
XY let out a laugh and Marinette had a feeling that he was rolling his eyes at her. Of course, she couldn't be sure because of those hideous sunglasses. XY tugged her arm, "Come on." he smirked. "The faster we get to your house, the faster you won't be seen with a so-called fashion disaster like me."
Marinette scrunched her nose and started walking towards the bakery. "Hurry up." She exclaimed, letting out a small laugh. "I already know that you can't come up with a subtle disguise, but I hope that you aren't slow as well."
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
XY was out of breath, yet again, when they arrived at the front door of the bakery. "You're fast." He let out a breath. âThat wasnât fair. I literally ran to the park so I could hang out with you, then you make me run even more.â
Marinette pulled the door open and winked at him. "I know." She gave her parents a quick hug and turned back to XY. "Do you want anything?"
XY looked at the baked goods and scrunched his eyebrows. "Can I have a croissant and a strawberry macaroon, please?"
He was about to reach for his wallet when Marinette quickly stopped him. "It's on the house." She said reassuringly. XY opened his mouth to protest and Marinette narrowed her eyes and gave him the items he wanted. "It's on the house," she repeated, this time glaring at him..
XY looked at Mrs. Dupain-Cheng for help but she only gave him a smile. "Don't argue with her, dear. She does this for all her friends. She won't take no for an answer."
"My mom's right." Marinette agreed. "Now come onâ Marinette tugged his sleeve. âWe have plans to make."
Before he could reply, Marinette led him upstairs to her bedroom.
"Woah," XY exclaimed in surprise.
Whatever he was expecting Marinetteâs room to look like, it was not this. Â
"Why are you so sho-" Marinette stopped talking right when she turned so she could face her room and her face went bright red. She let out a scream of embarrassment. "I swear I thought I put all of this away! I can't believe I forg- UGH!" she let out a huff of frustration. "You think I'm creepy now, don't you." she said, her eyes on the ground.
XY gave her room another quick glance before facing her. She had Adrien Agreste's face everywhere. There were posters with Adrien's face all over her wall. The wallpaper on her desktop was Adrien. Her room was basically an Adrien Agreste shrine.
Yet, XY had seen worse. Seeing her room, it was obvious that she has a crush on Adrien Agreste. He held in a scoff. Of course, she does. He thought. Why would she ever like me anyways. Iâm a nobody when compared to the so-called sunshine boy of Paris.
XY could feel Marinette's eyes staring at him. He's been silent for a while.
Marinette probably assumed that he hated her and thought she was a creep. "Nope," XY said, a bit louder than necessary. He winced before he added, "I don't think you're a creep." his voice a bit softer this time.
"Yes, you do," Marinette stated, her hands hiding her face. "You took way too long to respond."
"I was taking in the scenery."
"What scenery?" Marinette asked. Though, XY could hear a teasing tone behind it. "My embarrassed face or my even more embarrassing room." Marinette plopped down on her bed. "I thought I took down all the posters and got rid of his face on my desktop." She faced him and smiled sheepishly, "I guess I was so excited to meet up with you that I forgot to take all this-" she gestured around her room "off."
"If it helps," XY tried to say. "This really isn't that bad." When Marinette stared at him as if he grew a tail, he added. "Trust me, I've seen way worse."
And just like that, the tense and awkward atmosphere was gone.
It was silent for a few seconds when Marinette spoke. "Me and my friend Alyaâ Marinette wouldnât meet his eyes again. âWe were supposed to take down all my posters and burn them." It was XY's turn to stare at Marinette as she was the one who grew a tail, but Marinette didnât notice it or she just ignored him. "I'm over him. I actually can't believe I ever liked him in the first place."
"What changed?"
Marinette waved the question off. "I'll tell you later. Now, let's start planning the photo shoot."
XY stared at her for a few seconds, trying to see if she was telling the truth or not. "Okay.â He surrendered. âBut you're telling me everything later."
"Maybe Marinette teased. "Now come on XY-"
"Xavier." he interrupted. Marinette scrunched her eyebrows in confusion. "Call me Xavier."
"Oh." Marinette looked at him with a cute smile on her face. "Well come on Xavier," she said his name in a teasing tone. "Let's get planning."
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Planning her 'I'm back cause I didn't realize that I somehow have over 200,000 followers on insta' photoshoot took a lot faster than Marinette thought it would.
XY, no, Xavier was a natural at it. She guessed it was because he was used to this kind of thing.
Marinette looked at her pink notebook. It was where she wrote down all the plans they made and the suggestions he gave her. "Thank you so much for helping me!" she exclaimed in excitement. "You have no idea how much this means to me."
Xavier took a bite out of his macaroon, "You're welcome. It wasn't that hard anyways, so it's all good."
Marinette studied him. Technically, she couldnât take her eyes off of him, but same thing.
He took off that horrible disguise of his so she could actually see his face.
Like Marinette said before, Xavier was hot. He had a sharp jawline, which brought out his ocean blue eyes and his golden blonde hair was shining in the sun.
If Xavier ever asked Marinette who she believed his godly parent was, she would definitely say Apollo. Apollo was often described by Percy as hot. Someone with blonde hair and blue eyes. It also helps that Xavier was a musician.
Marinette let out a dreamy sigh before quickly widening her eyes. She tried to make it look like she wasn't staring at him but it was too late.
Xavier caught her. He gave her a smirk that practically made Marinette melt and raised an eyebrow. "Take a picture. It'll last longer."
Marinette wanted to take him up on that offer. Instead, she forced out a laugh and threw a pillow at him. "Wow. How original."
Xavier rolled his eyes and stuck out his tongue.
Could this guy get any hotter?
"So." Xavier said.
"So?" Marinette replied with confusion.
"What's up with you burning down all the pictures of-" he gestured at her posters.
"Oh," Marinette couldnât bring himself to meet his eyes. "That."
"Are you alright?" His voice was soft.
Marinette looked at him in surprise.
Should she lie?
Marinette couldnât bring himself to lie to him. He asked her that question with such sincerity. As if he actually wanted to know if she was okay
Instead, Marinette scoffs. "Did you know that youâre the second person who ever asked me that question?"
He didnât reply.
Stupid. Marinette scolded herself. Why did she say that to him? Now he was going to hate her and think sheâs just looking for attention.
Marinette stiffened. Xavierâs arms were around her.
He was giving her a hug.
Usually, Marinette would be freaking out about someone like him hugging her.
But right now, all she could do was hug him tighter and finally let go of all the tears that she's been holding in. Â

Note: I suck at writing sad scenes. So don't end up being surprised if my attempted angsty chapters end up being cringy.
Also, how do you guys want me to address XY? Do you want me to keep addressing him as XY or Xavier outside of Marinette's dialogue? I tried to address him with his actual name, Xavier, in this chapter. But I don't really know if I like it or not, so please give me your feedback on that.

Chapter 4
XY doesn't know how long he's been holding Marinette. He's never seen anyone break down like this before. Especially not in front of him.
He didn't know what to do.
XY was not the best at interacting with people. But this was Marinette. So he had to try.
He held her a bit tighter.
If the moment wasn't so serious, he would've teased her about the height difference.
XY was a whole head taller than Marinette. Her face was buried at his chest. His shirt was probably damp due to all the tears sheâs spilled.
XY led Marinette to her bed and made her sit down.
Her eyes were red, tears were still falling down her face. She wasnât moving.
Just looking at her made his heart break.
XY squeezed her hand in reassurance, hoping that itâll remind Marinette that heâs there for her. "Mari," the nickname just slipped. "Do you wanna tell me what's wrong?"
There was a brief silence. All XY could hear was sniffling.
XY saw another tear roll down her cheek. "Okay," she whispered. "Just give me a minute."
Marinette took a deep breath. XY assumed that it was because she wanted to get herself together before saying anything.
"I just feel like everyone expects me to be this perfect person and I just-." Marinetteâs voice cracked, "I just can't."
XY looked at Marinette, his hand not leaving hers as he tried to figure out what to say. "No one's perfect. And the people who expect you to be perfect are just being unreasonable." XY felt her eyes on him. "It's forcing you to have all this unnecessary stress." XY knew he was being hypocritical. Telling her not to feel pressured just because people expect her to be this perfect person. Not to mention that it was easier said than done. "You know, it'll help if you talk to someone."
"Take your own advice." Marinette glanced at their intertwined hands, "Plus, I'm talking to you, aren't I?"
XY was relieved that she seemed a bit better now. Her teasing remarks were back, "So, what else has been bothering you?"
Marinette raised an eyebrow, her eyes were still red. "What makes you think that there's more?"
"Do I need to remind you about the fact that you told me that you were going to use a blowtorch to burn Adrien Agreste?"
Marinette's eyes grew wide. "I did not say that I was going to burn him! I said that I was going to burn his posters with my friend."
XY waved her off, glad that his remark made her forget that she was crying a few minutes ago. "Same thing."
"Not really."
"Just tell me what he did that hurt you so much." XY paused before adding a "Please?"
"Fine." Marinette stood up. "But it's a long story. So I'll get us some snacks." XY opened his mouth, "You are not going to pay."
"But I-"
Marinette glared at him. "You are a guest. And as a host thingy, I have to provide you with free food."
"Fine," XY muttered. "I guess this is one argument I can't win."
As XY waited for Marinette to come back up, he got struck with a sudden realization. He was there for her. He helped her feel better.
See that dad, I'm not useless after all.
XY didn't know what Adrien Agreste did to Marinette. But he knew that Adrien had something to do with the breakdown she had a few minutes ago.
Just the thought of Adrien pressuring Marinette to feel like she had to be this perfect person made XY clench his fists.
Shouldn't Adrien know better than to ask someone that?
Adrien grew up in the spotlight. He should know better than to pressure someone to feel like they have to be perfect all the time.
So why?
XY clenched his jaw. He had hoped that going to public school would make Adrien a better person. He shouldâve known better.
Adrien Agreste was the exact same person he was years ago.

Marinette didn't know what to expect when she opened the trapdoor to her room.
She didn't expect Xavier to be going through her designs.
She completely forgot that she left them out in the open like that. Ever since Lila made her threat towards her. Marinette made sure to never leave her designs out in the open like that.
That meant that Marinette never brought them to school with her.
Instead, Marinette brought something different with her. A sketchbook that looked exactly like the one that contained her designs. Lila wouldn't even notice the difference.
As Marinette stared at the scene in front of her, she couldn't help but feel a little scared.
What if he hated her designs?
What if he hated her?
If he hated her, then she wouldn't have someone to talk to anymore. She would be all alone again.
"Marinette!" Xavier noticed her just standing near the trapdoor and furrowed his brows. "Do you need help?"
Marinette let out a squeak. "You're fine! I mean, I'm fine." Marinette let out a weak laugh. "Don't worry. I got this."
Xavier turned back to her designs.
Marinette was ready for him to tell her that he hated them and that she had no talent. She was prepared for him to yell at her. Prepared to hear about how he wasted his time. Marinette was ready for all the hurtful things that he might say to her.
When Xavier opened his mouth, Marinette let her guard up. "These are really good."
Marinette blinked. She thought that she heard him wrong. "What?" she asked.
"I said that your designs are really good," he repeated.
"Really?" Marinette questioned. "You don't hate them?"
Xavier gave her a surprised look. "Why would I hate your designs? You are one of the most talented designers right now." XY grabbed a croissant from Marinette. "Your designs are amazing. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise."
Marinette didn't trust herself to talk. So she nodded. Thinking that he thought that highly of her made her smile.
Without even thinking, she gave him a hug.
Xavier staggered back a few steps. His eyes widened in surprise when he found out what was happening.
Marinette felt her cheeks go red as she let go of the hug. "I'm sorry." she stammered. "I was just so happy and giving you a hug ju-"
Xavier cut her off. "It's fine Mari," He used the nickname he gave her! Marinette felt her cheeks heat up even more. She probably looked like a tomato right now. "Just don't be surprised when I hug you out of nowhere next time."
The thought of Xavier hugging her out of nowhere made Marinette feel giddy. Hoping her face wasn't as red, she looked up at him. "Are you ready to hear about why I want to burn Adrien Agreste?"
Xavier smirked at her, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Thought youâd never ask"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
He was ready to kill everyone at that stupid school.
Starting with a model and a liar.
Then, he'll murder the principal.
He would start a rĂŠsumĂŠ after that. Maybe people will even pay him to kill their enemy or something like that.
XY couldn't believe that a principal would expel someone without having a proper investigation. Not to mention that finding a knock-off necklace at a locker isn't even a good enough reason. Hell, the lockers didn't even have locks.
Now that XY thought about it, Marinette went to the same school as the mayor's daughter. From what he heard about her, she was a brat. So he guessed it would make sense that the principal would be a doormat.
"You should report this to the school board."
Marinette looked at him as if a Pikachu used a thunderbolt on her. "What?"
"You were bullied for four years at that school. You got wrongfully expelled. Then you get threatened?" XY was furiously pacing back and forth around her room. "You need to report this."
"Chloe's been acting better though." Marinette tried to protest.
XY stopped and lowered his voice, giving it a dangerous tone. "Who cares if she's changed. She still hurt you. And you're still hurting." He pointed out.
"My friend-"
"Your friends believe that liar." XY pointed out. "They might not physically hurt you, but they will mentally." He took a deep breath. "Marinette, I think you need to talk to your two friends," He stopped trying to remember their names.
"Alya and Nino," Marinette supplied.
"I think you need to talk to your friends, Alya and Nino, about this." He stopped pacing around the room. "From what you told me, they believe you." Marinette nodded. "About everything? Even the situation with Adrien?"
"About everything," Marinette confirmed. "Even with the situation about Adrien."
XY let out a sigh. "At least you're not alone in this." He sat down next to her. "I'm surprised they believe you with the Adrien thing though. From what I heard, you guys and Adrien were close."
XY had seen the articles about Adrien's group of friends. Marinette probably noticed all the articles talking about her and Adrien's relationship. The media has been watching the blue-nette for a while now.
Maybe that's why that liar felt threatened by Marinette. He couldnât help but smirk. Lila Rossi was jealous.
Marinette got the attention of Gabriel Agreste without him knowing that she was even friends with his son. She turned down an internship with the Style Queen. Someone who is even harder to impress, for the sake of letting her daughter have a good relationship with her mom.
It also didn't help that Marinette was absolutely gorgeous.
No one should be able to look that good in pigtails.
"Xavier?" XY turned his attention back to Marinette. "Okay, good. You're paying attention again. I kinda lost you for a minute."
XY widened his eyes and scratched the back of his neck, "Yeah," he said sheepishly. "I was thinking about something."
He was thinking about her, but she didn't need to know that.
"As I was saying," Marinette continued before grabbing a macaroon. "I was surprised that Alya and Nino believed me too with the Adrien situation." Marinette swallowed the macaroon. "But she actually overheard one of the conversations Adrien and I had."
"Oh," XY began. "How did she react?"
"She was ready to kill him," Marinette admitted. "She also caught everything on her phone."
XY had a dangerous glint in his eyes. "Please tell me she still has it."
"Uhm, yeah. I think she does."
"Good," XY knew that if that recording somehow got leaked to the press, then Adrien could kiss the so-called-sunshine facade of his goodbye.
"And that's the story," Marinette muttered.
"Okay, just so I know everything, I'm doing a quick recap. Is that alright?"
Marinette nodded. "Go ahead."
"So, before Adrien and Alya came to your school, Chloe bullied you for four years and no one did anything."
Marinette interrupted him. "Nino tried to defend me."
"Except Nino," XY added. "But other than him, the teachers, the principal, and your classmates didn't do anything?"
Marinette nodded. "No. They didn't help me."
"I'm gonna go and assume that the principal of that dumb school was scared of the fact that Chloe's father was the mayor." When XY saw that Marinette wasn't going to reply, he knew he was right. If Marinette let him, he would destroy everyone that ever hurt her. "Okay, then fast forward to earlier this year. Alya stood up against Chloe and she helped you gain confidence."
"Keep going," Marinette mumbled when XY was waiting for her to reply.
"Then, you got a crush on Adrien," He paused, then teasingly said. "Because he let you borrow his umbrella in the rain?"
"A hot guy was letting me borrow his umbrella because he didn't want to see me soaked. That's a good reason to develop a crush towards someone." Marinette retorted.
"Fair enough." XY teased. "So let's say I give you an umbrella-"
Marinette's eyes grew wide and XY could see her starting to blush. "We're doing a recap." Marinette managed to say. "Keep going."
"Fine. So you start to like him, then boom. The Lila girl comes in. You try to convince everyone that she's lying and no one believes you at first. Then she comes back and threatens you in the bathroom. This is around the time Alya and Nino realize that nothing adds up."
"Then, Adrien confronts me about taking the high road. I agreed with him for a little bit, then she got me expelled. I didn't know why Lila decided to make up a lying disease, but I had a feeling that Adrien had something to do with it." Marinette added. "I asked him about it and he admitted that he had something to do with it."
XY could see that Marinette didn't wanna talk about the next part so he continued. "When you told him that you guys should reveal her lies now, he screamed and told you no. Then he went on a rant about taking the high road and how he didn't want her to get akumatized."
Marinette let out a bitter laugh. "And that was the conversation that Alya overheard and how I slowly stopped liking him." Marinette continued to rant to him. "I just can't believe I didn't see this coming. You know? I knew I never had a chance with him, I mean, I'm just me." Before XY could argue against that, Marinette continued. "But I should've known that he was manipulating all of us. When you really think about it, nothing adds up."
"I know," XY mumbled the next part. "He fooled everyone."
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Marinette had no idea how their conversation went from planning a photoshoot to spilling their guts out with each other.
"When we were younger, he used to be my best friend," Xavier admitted.
Marinette was shocked. She knew that Xavier didn't like Adrien, but she assumed that it was just a celebrity thing. "Keep going," she whispered.
Marinette noticed that his smile was a bit tight, "You know how his mom's an actor?" Marinette nodded. "Well, she taught him a  bit. And he was good at it. Crazy good."
Marinette knew where Xavier was going with this, but she needed to hear it.
If he admitted it, then the theories going around Marinetteâs head would make sense. "Keep going," Marinette repeated, "Please."
"He started to use it to manipulate people." XY continued. "In public, he would pretend to be this innocent kid who could do no wrong. And of course, the press ate it all up." Xavier clenched his fists, "But whenever no one was around. He was the exact opposite. And the worst part is that his parents would encourage his behavior." He met Marinette's eyes before glaring at a poster of Adrien. "There's something wrong with that family."
Marinette nodded. She couldn't help but agree. She checked her phone. "You have about 30 minutes before you have to go home."
"Wait, already?" Xavier checked his phone to make sure, "How long have we been talking?"
Marinette shrugged, "Like four hours?"
"Oh!" His voice was a bit disappointed. "Before I forget though, thanks again for agreeing to design the outfits for me."
"It's no problem." Marinette stated, "Consider it payback for helping me with everything."
"But still, thank you."
Marinette remembered that she needed to hear the demo so that she has an idea of what the outfits are supposed to look like. "Did you bring a demo with you, by any chance?" Marinette asked.
Xavier wouldnât meet her gaze. Marinette noticed that his cheeks were a bit red though. "Yeah." he mumbled.
He handed her a small clear, rectangular box. "Thank you!" Marinette gushed. "We still have time, so we can listen to it together if you want."
"I... -Uhm."
Marinette looked at him with her big blue eyes. "Please?" she begged.
Xavier sighed, "Fine."
Marinette set it up so that they can both hear it. When the music began to play, Marinette sat down and closed her eyes.
She surprisingly liked it.
It was good. Really good.
She opened one eye and asked him, "What was your inspiration? This-" she gestured to the song, "This is really good."
"Oh, um. Thank you."
Marinette raised her eyebrow. "So what's your inspiration?"
Xavier couldn't look at her. "Oh, it was uhm-" He glanced around the room trying to find an answer. But when his eyes met hers, he couldn't bring himself to lie. "You," he murmured. "You were my inspiration."

Chapter 6
Marinette was panicking. She couldn't breathe.
He asked her out on a date.
Xavier asked her out on a date.
She didnât know whether she should jump around her room squealing with joy or scream in frustration.
She didnât know what to wear.
âTikki!â Marinette wailed, âWhat do I wear?â
The red kwami stared at her chosen with a bored expression. âJust pick one of those outfits.â
The dark-haired girl glanced at the clothes around her room before studying the outfits on her bed.
âThose clothes arenât good enough.â
Tikki flew towards a dress and pointed at it. âYouâre wearing that.â
âBut-â Marinette tried to protest.
âYouâre wearing that,â Tikki demanded.
Marinette could not bring herself to argue with the tiny goddess. She was simply too tired. Marinette let out a yawn. âSorry boutâ this, Tikki,â Marinette murmured. Tikkiâs sky blue eyes met Marinetteâs tired ones. âI just donât want to look stupid in from him.â
âYouâre not going to look stupid.â
âYou sure?â
Tikki rolled her eyes. Her chosen was just so oblivious sometimes.
How was it possible for someone to be so smart yet so dumb at the same time?
Tikki had no idea. She gave Marinette a glance.
Marinette was sitting on the edge of her bed looking so defeated. Her shoulders were hunched and her hair was a mess. She was clenching her fists, no doubt believing what she was actually saying about herself.
She looked so broken.
Tikki quickly flew to Marinette to give her a hug on her cheek. âYou wonât look stupid, Marinette.â the flying kwami assured. âAnd even if you do, he wonât care. He saw all the posters of Adrien in your room, remember?â Marinette nodded and Tikki quickly smiled, âSee, and even after that he helped you.â
âI know.â Marinetteâs voice wavered.
As much as Marinette didnât want to let Lila and Adrienâs remarks get to her. It just didnât work. It still hurt.
A lot.
It didnât help that Marinette read some of the comments on her recent Instagram post. At first, all the comments she saw were so supportive. But as Marinette kept scrolling, the comments quickly got worse.
It went from people insulting her looks to telling her that she wasn't worth it. That she should just kill herself. There were so many comments telling Marinette that she was just a waste of space. Telling her that she was useless and that no one would ever love her.
When enough people tell you the same things over and over again, you know itâs true.
It only took a few minutes before Marinette was ready to burst into tears. Luckily, she was able to hold it in until the bell rang, telling the student that it was time to go home.
By the time Marinette shut her trapdoor, her face was streaming with tears. She was stupid. She never should've posted that picture. She should've never listened to Xavier. She shouldâve just left it alone.
Marinette glared at her phone.
Stupid.
Stupid.
Stupid.
Marinette felt tears on her cheeks and knew that her kwami was looking at her with pity.
It was the same look Tikki was giving her now.
âStop looking at me like that.â
âLike what?â Tikki innocently asked.
âWith those eyes. You feel bad for me. I hate it. I hate feeling like this. I hate feeling useless.â
Tikki shut her eyes before sitting on Marinetteâs palm. âXY is right you know.â Marinette tilted her head in confusion. âYou need to talk to someone about this.â
âAbout what?â
âAbout this.â Tikkiâs voice was frustrated. She was a goddess. She was one of the most powerful beings alive. She was creation itself. So how come she canât keep Marinette happy? âYouâre not feeling okay Marinette.â Tikki was close to crying now. âPlease.â her voice sounded so desperate it made Marinette want to give her kwami a hug. âJust talk to someone. Anyone.â
âI can't!â Marinette snapped. âThereâs no one I can talk to. Nino and Alya wonât understand. They donât know I'm Ladybug. They wonât understand why Iâm so stressed. I canât talk to Chat Noir because heâs a jerk. Heâll-â Marinetteâs voice lowered. âHeâll try to use my emotional state to manipulate me and Xavier-â Marinette let out a harsh laugh. âI donât want to bother him. Heâs helped me enough. Especially since he gave me something to look forward to tomorrow.â Marinette gave Tikki a small smile. âHe asked me on a date.â
âThen talk to me,â she whispered, floating next to Marinetteâs side. âPlease.â

Growing up, XY had no friends. He was always alone. No one wanted to hang out with him. All he had was his mom and dad.
XY knew he looked a lot like his mom. Everyone told him that.
Maybe thatâs why his dad hated him. XY had his momâs golden blonde hair and ocean blue eyes. People often told XY that he had her soft smile as well.
As he grew up, his mom often told XY that he reminded her a lot of herself when she was younger. Hearing that always made XY smile. He always wanted to be like his mother.
His mother was the best person he ever met. She was always there for him. She reminded XY that she loved him whenever she could. She played with him when he had no one to hang out with. She gave him a hug whenever a kid was picking on him. And she always gave him the best advice.
XY thought he would be with his mom forever.
But sheâs gone now.
XY missed her.
He missed her smile.
He missed her laugh.
He missed how she always gave him a warm hug whenever he went home crying because someone told him that he wasnât worth anything.
And most importantly, he missed how she always reminded him that she loved him.
Now?
No one did.
XY crinkled his nose in disgust.
He was never close with his father. As he grew up, Bob Roth was just there. He was just another person in the house.
Looking back at it, XY wished he tried harder to have a relationship with his dad.
At least if he did, he wouldnât feel so alone.
XY stared at his arms. He could see the faint outlines of the cuts he used to make after he found out that his mom was gone.
The cuts werenât obvious. Just a little scratch whenever he felt like he needed to feel something.
The pain helped him feel better.
In fact, you could barely see the cuts now. You would need magnifying glasses to even notice that there was something on his arm.
XY let out a breath he didnât know he was holding. He needed to get over himself.
He was just XY. A musician that stole music from other people. He was useless.
XY forced himself to shut his eyes. âStop it.â he murmured to himself, âThese thoughts wonât help you with anything.â He took a deep breath.
In.
Out.
In.
Out.
In. Out.
XYâs eyes snapped open and he groaned.
This wasnât helping.
His eyes drifted to his phone. Hoping that Marinette sent him a text.
Nothing.
What was he trying to convince himself? Marinette didnât need to text him. She had other friends.
If he really wanted to talk to her, he should text her.
But he couldnât. He didnât want to bother her with his problems.
She was dealing with enough.
He was lucky that Marinette opened up to him about all the drama thatâs going on with the Lila girl and Adrien. But he knew that she wasnât telling him everything.
He couldnât do anything about that though. He couldnât force her to tell him everything. But he wanted to help her.
The last time they talked in person she looked so defeated. Marinette looked like she was holding the weight of the world on her shoulders.
She hid it well.
XY only figured it out today.
His reflection was staring at him through the mirror. His eyes were red and his usual golden hair was dull and messy. He looked pathetic.
But as he continued to stare at himself in the mirror, he knew why wanted to help Marinette so much.
She reminded him too much of himself right after his mom died.
XY let out a sad smile. Even though she was going through so many things, she agreed to go on a date with him.
He couldnât wait to hang out with her.
Which was why he needed to get himself together. He couldnât look like a mess in front of Marinette.
XY didnât need Marinette to regret her decision to go out with him.
He couldn't lose her.
Marinette was too important to him.
He wouldnât lose anyone he loved ever again.

His breaths were uneven as he forced himself to get up. He turned to the window and noticed that it was still dark out. It was probably midnight.
XY stared at his bed. He couldnât go back to sleep, at least not until he cleared his head. It was like everytime he closed his eyes for more than a minute, he would see his dad yelling at him. Screaming about how much of a disappointment he is.
Xy squeezed his eyes shut. He needed to get out of this room.
He grabbed the closest jacket near him and walked out his door.

The frosty air hit XY as soon as he walked out of the hotel.
He looked up at the dark sky. You couldnât see a lot of the stars due to air pollution. It made XY frown. He remembered when his mom used to take him camping. Every night, they would look at the stars and she would point at a constellation and tell him the story behind it.
He missed her.
A sudden BANG- snapped XY out of his thoughts. He turned and saw a man wearing a hawaiin t-shirt on the floor, along with a man wearing a white t-shirt and sweats running away.
XY didnât know what to do. Should he help the man or run after the guy? He was fast. He could probably catch the guy. But what about the man on the floor? Was the man still breathing?
In the end, XY turned to the man on the floor.
âAre you alright?â XY asked.
The man coughed. âI should be-â the man tried to stand and almost tumbled over. âI might need a bit of help getting home though.â
âI can help.â XY assured. âI donât need to go home yet anyways.â
The man gave XY a smile that made XY feel warm. XY couldnât help but smile back. âWhich way do we need to go?â

Marinette was out for patrol.
That was a lie. It wasnât really patrol. It was more of an excuse to clear her mind.
Marinette felt like she couldnât breathe. It was like she was in a small room and the walls were closing in on her. She couldnât leave. She could only sit and watch as the walls would crush her to death.
Marinette loved swinging from building to building. It made her feel free. It made her feel like a bird ready to stretch her wings after being trapped in a cage for so long.
Tonight, she wasnât Ladybug or Marinette.
Ladybug often felt like the whole world was resting on her shoulders. Like if she made a single mistake, everyone would judge her for it and hate her.
Marinette was often stressed. Marinette felt like she always had to watch her back, fearing that Lila would do something to her. Marinette had a lot of homework to finish. A lot of commissions to do.
But like she mentioned before, right now, she wasnât any of her two personas. She was Maribug. Maribug was free. Maribug wasnât stressed. Maribug didnât have anyone that had high expectations for her. She was just her.
There was no homework to worry about.
There was no Lila making snide comments about her appearance.
There was no Adrien who glared at her whenever she met his eyes.
There was no Chat Noir who would forcefully ask her on dates, only to throw a giant tantrum when she declined.
There were no hate comments that told her that her life wasn;t worth it. That she should just kill herself .
It was only Maribug and the stars.
It was quiet for a few minutes before Maribug heard voices. They both sounded familiar so Maribug walked closer towards it.
Maribug was facing Master Fuâs shop and saw two people standing on the front. One was obviously Master Fu. He was wearing his trademark bright red shirt with white flowers and light brown pants.
Maribug squinted, trying to figure out why the other guy looked so familiar. Maribug could only see the guys back. He was wearing a dark navy jacket with black sweats. He turned and Marinette saw the familiar blue eyes that could only belong to one person.
Maribug felt a frown stretch onto her face. What was Xavier doing with Master Fu?
Maribug studied the blonde haired boy from the top building. His hair was a mess. And not the usually cute kinda mess. It was more like the i-just-walked-through-a-tornado kinda mess. He had bags under his eyes, which made Maribug assume that he couldnât sleep.
She couldnât help but snort. âYou and me both.â
However, that noise made Xavier turn his head. His light blue eyes met Maribugâs dark blue ones.
Fuck.

When XY helped the man back to his home (he told XY to call him Fu!), he did not expect Ladybug to be watching him.
XY couldnât help but be nervous. Was she still mad about how she got the blue-haired boy akumatized? He apologized! He bought the boy a new guitar and he introduced the kitty band to a good producer and brand deal. He was pretty sure that they were friends now. And if not friends, at least good acquaintances.
Did Ladybug hate him? Can Ladybug even hate anybody? Is he going to be the first person the Ladybug is going to hate?
XY wanted to curl up and cry. As if he needed another flaw.
He faced Fu and gave him a smile.
âThank you for helping me back to my home.â
XY couldnât help but feel warmth from that sentence. âIt was no problem. I should probably head back now though.â
Fu nodded in agreement and walked inside his massage parlor.
He was about to head to the hotel when Ladybug suddenly appeared in front of him.
If Ladybug was a Pokemon, XY was sure that one of her moves would be teleportation.
âIâm sorry!â XY suddenly blurted out.
âWhat?â
âIâm sorry for getting the Luka guy akumatized.â he couldnât bring his eyes to meet hers.
âXa-â Ladybug suddenly coughed, âI mean XY,â he slowly lifted his eyes from the ground. âItâs okay. Iâm not mad at you.â
âBut I caused an akumatization!â
Ladybug let out a twinkling laugh that sounded so familiar to him (but he couldnât figure out why!). He was shaken out of his thoughts when Ladybug gave him a big smile and said, âChloe caused a ton of akumatizations too and I still gave her the bee miraculous.â
That was true.
âSo you donât hate me?â XY asked meekly.
âOf course not!â XY couldnât help but give her a small smile. She sounded so offended that she thought that she hated him. âSo, why are you walking around this late at night?â
âI just needed to clear my mind. You?â
âSame.â
XY didnât know what to say. He looked at her and he could see that her eyes were a bit red. Was she crying? âAre you okay?â
âHuh- whatâŚâ Ladybug wouldnât meet his eyes, biting her lip. âIâm fine?â
XY couldnât help but raise an eyebrow. âAre you sure?â
âYes.â Their eyes met and XY knew that she could hear the silent question he was asking. Are you okay? XY would not be the one that broke their eye contact. A few seconds passed and all XY could hear was their breathing. It was Ladybug that broke the eye contact, âNo.â she whispered.
âDo you wanna talk about it?â
The air was starting to get colder as he waited for her answer.
In the end, she just nodded and held her hand out to him.

Note: Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. The next chapter will be the two of them talking about their problems and the chapter after that will (finally!) be the date between Marinette and XY.
And like I always say, feedback will be appreciated.
