They’ve been duped, they’ve been tricked, and quite possibly bamboozled!
Headcanon: The Veilspun know exactly what’s going on in modern day Sornieth, and have for some time now. This includes knowing about all the newest tech, gadgets, and dragonmade trinkets the younger dragon breeds have to offer. I think that, partially out of convenience and partially as a joke, the Veilspun commission products from BlackSand Annex or other organizations and have them delivered by mail. Their one request? Make the products REALLY REALLY TINY. As little hermits / trinket hoarders, the Veilspun would DEFINITELY get addicted to delivery services...Just pop a letter by crow and bingitty bang, you’ve got all your sh!t updated and a few kitten-sized plushies.
Mismallo, the Informant.
Mismallo is an informant with close ties to the Talosian Empire. Though her work itself is an independent operation in many respects, her loyalty is unabashed. Her skills are unrivaled, and her network of spies operates in ways secret even to the king. Mismallo’s eyes and ears are everywhere...
Nulii and KoiKoiChive are passionate merchants in the Talosian Kingdom, both deeply enamored with each other’s specialties. While Nulii manages his deli and pelt shop, KoiKoi perfects her patented spice-blends and her uniquely patterned koi fish.
They often have little get togethers to test out the deliciousness of particularly new and untasted meats or faraway foreign herbs. These meetings are top secret, of course!
Rien
Que cachent les ténèbres ? Rien, voyons. Absolument rien. Peut-être un peu de rien qui serait plus massif qu’une ombre. Plus attentif aussi. Mais ce n’est qu’un rien parmi d’autres, pourquoi s’en soucier ? À peine imaginé, déjà oublié, c’est ce qu’il y a de mieux à faire.
(Sauf pour les enfants, les chats et les grands anxieux, qui ne dormiront pas tranquilles tant que ce rien sera là)
Et s’il venait, ce rien. S’il se levait. S’il prenait ta main. Si tu l’amenais, tout doucement, jusqu’à la lumière. Qu’en verrais-tu ? Absolument rien. Transparent, invisible, il n’a pas de reflet dans le miroir ni de chaleur contre ta paume. Il ne se serait que le fruit de ton imagination. Plus on y voit, moins on le distingue. C’est pour ça que les ténèbres le dévoilent. Un peu. Juste assez pour faire dresser quelques cheveux sur ta nuque. Un vieil instinct qui préfère s’inquiéter pour rien plutôt que de laisser passer une menace.
Ce n’est pas dangereux, de toute manière. C’est très, très seul. C’est pour ça que ça aime venir nous voir. Guetter un peu de vie, de mouvement, d’éclat. À défaut d’y participer, c’est déjà une distraction, un apaisement. Ce qui n’est rien n’a rien. Ce qui n’est rien n’a personne. C’est dur, tu comprends.
Alors, si tu veux danser, dans le noir ou la lumière, guidé·e par une musique tonitruante ou par une chanson que tu fredonnerais, n’hésite pas à offrir ta main. Ce serait une invitation. Rien ne l’agripperait, rien ne danserait avec toi, partageant quelques pas, ta vie, ton éclat. Un autre transparent, sans chaleur, sans poids, un autre invisible à la lumière, ce ne serait pas un autre danseur du tout. Ce ne serait rien.
Mais laisse-lui une place tout de même. Ça ne coûte rien.

not enough people are into shadowheart/nocturne and it makes me feel insane. like what do you MEAN shadowheart used to beat up people who deadnamed nocturne. what do you MEAN shadowheart would frequently have her memories wiped, but nocturne could get her to remember nocturne in a matter of HOURS if not minutes, and would write on her diary about how happy it'd make her to see the expression on shadowheart's face when she remembered? what do you MEAN that if you give shadowheart the noblestalk, a mushroom so rare and potent there is only ONE of them in the entire game, she doesn't remember her parents or the day with the wolves or the mother superior's name but just nocturne? what do you MEAN nocturne was the one who did shadowheart's hair, and she kept at it until her arms were sore, and even without remembering that at all shadowheart still kept the same canonically hard to redo hairstyle? did shadowheart even like night orchids before their hideout, or did they become her favorite flowers because they were there? were they even actually her favorite flowers, or did she just mix up her attachment to nocturne with attachment to the flowers after forgetting her? hello? hello? can anybody hear me????

Okay, so, I feel like if Danny's first encounter with nocturne wasn't bad and Danny just encounter him when he got lost in the ghost zone after chasing a ghost through it that Danny would have loved nocturne.
THINK ABOUT IT!! Nocturne looks like space and in my head (and in fanfictions) I love it when Danny has a protection obsession and a space obsession so when he sees nocturne he's overjoyed and is just gushing over this ghost who looks like space!
And even better if nocturne is just like, "who's child is this? YOUR PARENTS ARE GHOST HUNTERS THAT WANT TO LITERALLY DISSECT YOU??!!!!! uh-huh not on my watch you are now my child."
Then there's Danny who just goes along with it because he's sick of hearing his parents rant about their hatred of Phantom and this space ghost is really nice to him and even put stars into the black parts of his suit!!
I'm begging for someone to write this!!!!!!
