When I Went To Classic Culture Class And We Learned About That Part In The Odyssey Where Odysseus' Men

"What if I kill them?".

But now that I'm reading the book and I reached that part, his reaction is literally:

"What if I kill myself?".

He genuinely considers jumping into the sea and letting himself drown. He doesn't even get angry. The poor man has been through so much at this point that when faced with this heavy blow he doesn't even have room for anger, only for the idea to give up.

And I'm like... For Zeus and all the other good gods, someone invent therapy already.
