Can someone please report @patriciabusking1 it doesn't work when I do it.

Well tumblr, there seems like an increase in scammers, I suggest being careful, might want to let others know. Been noticing a lot of oddities lately.

I love scams here on Tumblr because they're so funny.

It can go from just donation asks to porn bots.

But I never thought that I would get a dm from someone I don't know advertising what is most likely drugs and stuff

Tbh I saw this and just fucking laughed. Tumblr is an absolutely mental place.

they’ve been running this scam for months now, every time they are terminated they just make a new blog and spam send the exact same ask, and every time their PayPal account is reported they make a new one under a new name. you can use the tumblr search bar to search their previous names “purity sikuku” or “mercy jerop” or “dennis ochieng” or “julius kipkorir” or “janet cheptoo”

Hey guys. I know this isn’t the thing I usually post, but I’ve been texted by a NFT „buyer“. They offered me whopping $3500 for a random doodle. To me it was very fishy, the price, the artwork they chose, etc. So I did some research online and saw that this scam is very common. They dote on artists, because they know that artists don’t know about NTFs.

I don’t wanna call out innocent people, this is why I made some reasearch. The person on the picture they use as banner is actually an artist of the name Joanna Sokolowska, and I believe that it’s not the artist who owns this account. They forgot to crop the website tag out of the picture lmao.

The scammers @ is @legendaryobjectdelusion

I suggest to block or report them if this user is dms you. If it turns out that this user is the person in the picture, and isn’t scamming artists, then I will take down this post. But until then, be wary!

I also found the artists website (the woman in the banner) Again, I don’t believe this artist Joanna Sokolowska is the scammer. I think the scammer used her picture to appear legit.

If someone sent you this post, you likely needed convincing that you really were talking to a scammer. Now that you know better, kindly go to @el-shab-hussein 's blog, and choose a vetted fundraiser to donate to. If you are not planning on donating, reblog as many of the fundraisers he has posted as you can. Try to actually read and be familiar with what an actual Palestinian fundraiser looks like, so that you can differentiate the real ones from the scam ones. This is the LEAST amount of effort you can do for Palestinian families.

i don't usually make posts like this, but this is a truly upsetting topic to me as a lifelong cat owner, so i feel i have a duty to share my knowledge with others.

there is a type of automatic litterbox for cats being sold that is EXTREMELY dangerous and has killed numerous cats through blunt force trauma, suffocation, etc. this litterbox is being sold under different brand names and logos, so i will include the picture of the model and two links to informational videos with more evidence and eloquence than i am able to provide.

please consider not having this type of litterbox in your home for your furry friends. me and my 16 year old tortie, puddy, want the best for all your kitty friends

Why there are so much scammers on my account?

I recently opened this account. Already three scammers have asked me for money, and they all have those in common:

too much emojis

poor English

being too kind than normal Tumblr people

asking for money. Do I just anwser them "no", tag my post with #tumblr scam and other tags like this, or can I report them to the staff?

In response to the recent influx of spams, I will no longer be accepting any ask messages until the situation calms down. I'm aware of a certain war that is still happening elsewhere; however, it's clearly abnormal to receive so many pleas for donation every single day. Also, while all these messages were sent from different accounts, on closer look they were pretty much copy-pastas.

DM remains open, but restricted to mutuals only. I'll follow back more FFXIV folks so that you guys can still contact me via this method. Apologies for the inconvenience, but this is the best way to keep spam accounts out of my safe space, for the time being.

On the same note, I strongly urge everyone to stay vigilant, and be wary of online scams. Be reminded that this is the internet we're talking about here, regardless of claims about vetted donation drives. In truth, it's very difficult to verify the authenticity of these private war efforts.

Do also be mindful about spreading misinformation. While digging around for vetting validations, I've seen some posts where both ask senders and receivers were openly slandering each other. Always remember that taking caution against anyone asking you for money, regardless of reasons, is the right thing you should be doing in the first place.

When in doubt, only trust official and established charity organizations (e.g. Red Cross) if you wish to make any monetary contributions.
