lil redraw! kausat’s design and demeanor changed a bit and so I thought itd be good to give an update 

I woke up with Fear Mind [TM] today, and it gave me the idea to draw this. I like how it turned out!

I'm not sure what version of Nightmare this is. Maybe a Passive/Lavender that somehow isn't aware of the ways his world has horrifically changed, and doesn't remember parts of his past. He keeps seeing vines[?] in the corner of his vision and he doesn't know where his brother is.

Below the cut is a mini-fanfic I wrote based on the idea. Apologies if it is not the best quality, I'm tired. [!Warning for paranoia/fear and implied character death.]

Lavender couldn't find Dream.

He had looked everywhere. Behind the decrepit houses, all around the gray fields, and he had even climbed looked around the strangely familiar tree stump to see if he was somehow hiding behind it. Everywhere he could think of, other than outright checking inside the wreckage of the former homes.

But he couldn't find him.

And Lavender had a horrible feeling that it was all his fault.

Did... did he say something mean to Dream? Did he scare him away? Was he so monstrous that Dream had to leave?

No. He wouldn't do that to his brother.

Right?

An equally bad thought suddenly occurred to him, too sharp for him to ignore.

Did Dream find out what the villagers thought of Lavender?

Did he agree with them?

Did they all go somewhere else far away, leaving Lavender behind?

...

[Is that why no one else seemed to be in town...?]

In case you are slightly worried: The mini-fanfic I wrote above does not reflect my own feelings. And don't worry about the Fear Mind [TM] thing, I went outside after drawing and I felt better pretty quickly ^^
