The house is warm, it always is, but the wood feels cold for a reason he cannot place. Everything feels sluggish, like he's been dipped in molasses and asked to fly.
Laudna's breathing is loud, why is it loud? She doesn't even need to breathe and yet every moment, every step that comfortingly jostles his home is matched with a heaving noise, something panicked and not right.
Not right, not right, upside down, on the ceiling, his back colliding with the front of the house as his paws refuse to grip. She must be spider climbing but why? And why couldn't he move well? What was happening?
His beak opened but no sound, no words, not even a squeak or a caw of the beasts he once was.
Instead it's her.
She's there and whispering, taunting and cajoling. She's there and he cannot move because Launda cannot reach him, Laudna cannot think beyond who she was and where she is.
Pate wasn't there at the very start, he couldn't hold her hand or speak to her before Delilah's claws sunk in. Now he could feel it, in the way their bonds were plucked like strings of fate Morri talks about, Delilah metaphorically holding his mouth shut.
No motion, no voice, just the cold seeping in past the wood as Laudna whispered back, as she quivered and trembled and curled down upon herself.
Another doll, like he once was, crafted with all her love and a cold sleep on the ground.
Why ask her to hold? Why rely on her?
'I'm right here, boss, I might not be warm but I'm somethin just for you.' He wants to say it, wants to crawl into her hands and curl up so she can feel his fur, rub her fingers across the bone.
Instead he's stuck, frozen, unsure of why or what or who he is, but knowing in some way, he's just like her, tied up in puppets strings.
In the morning, she'll find her warmth in Imogen, in returning, in remembering what love is...
What about him?
*sobs*

its thursday so take something silly to lighten the mood!!

I think my favorite anime is Sailor Laudna.
Do y’all remember when Marisha made a Sailor Moon reference back in the beginning of Campaign 3… well the idea has been stuck in my brain since.

They are decorating the prettiest tree.
Do you ever wonder if the echoing voices during Laudna's messages are the voices of the other individuals who hung beside her?... Yeah, me neither.
Laudna and Imogen parenting Pate and telling him what to do and what not to do before sending him off ahead is so adorable
And Imogen telling him not to sing this time…she knows her step-son so well
The talk of ghost pirates and ships this episode got me thinking…
What if Bells Hells were pirates?
Here’s the roles I came up with (my knowledge of ship roles is very limited)
Captain: Imogen (mainly cause I love seeing Imogen take leadership roles, but she’s weathered many storms—hah, get it—so she’d be able to handle herself)
Quartermaster: Ashton (hooked on Ashton and Imogen’s dynamic recently plus he’d make sure everyone stays in line)
Sailing Master/Lookout: Orym (his perception is insane, plus it’s funny imagining him climbing up to the crow’s nest and barely being able to see over the railing)
Gunner: Fearne (letting Fearne handle the firearms is a great idea)
Powder Monkey: Mister (it’s perfect not only because it has monkey in the name but also because it’s kind of a helper role to the gunner)
Boatswain/Cooper: Chetney (makes sure the boat is in tip top shape cause he’s great at woodworking, and makes the barrels too)
Carpenter: Laudna (answers to Chetney cause he’s the woodworking master but her mending allows her to fix up the boat as well. She also handles the interior design obviously)
Doctors: mainly FCG with Fearne helping a bit (cleric, FCG also acts as the ship therapist of course)
Cook: FCG (he’s like the only one who has mentioned cooking/baking I believe)
Musician/Entertainment: Pâté (he’s great at singing—if you ask Laudna. Others might disagree—and he’s sometimes used as a kite when the winds are just right as well as other games that the crew makes up to entertain themselves)
As for the ship, I can see it maybe being called Bell’s Hell, and maybe the crew itself would be called Bell’s hellish pirates(?) I’d say it’s Bertrand’s ship and he brings the whole crew together akin to the start of campaign 3. Due to that I could see the figurehead being some dramatized figure of himself

made a little pâté for a friends birthday! probably the most elaborate thing i've tried with polymer play so far 🐀
