it’s the picture of diana in lawrence’s wallet with her arms wrapped around a dog, it’s the horse riding awards in her bedroom and and the snake toy she has draped over her headboard .. it’s adam who wanted so badly to be a vet, adam who loves cats and brings them saucers of milk despite there being barely anything in his fridge .. it’s them bonding over their love of animals, diana showing adam her amazing animal facts book and adam asking for one every time he sees her, it’s adam saving up his own money so he can surprise her with a trip to the zoo for their next adam-and-diana day when lawrence and alison are at work and need someone to watch her, it’s him taking his camera, getting pictures of her with her favorite animals and developing them, it’s diana telling adam she wants to be a vet when she grows up and him getting excited, grabbing lawrence’s stethoscope when diana says she wants to play vets and taking his job oh so seriously when diana says that he’s gotta be her assistant, it’s .. its ..

adam is alive au but lawrence hid the fact he's an apprentice for this reason

you could say they were dating or wont but it's still the same. lawrence has hid it for months, maybe even years.
when adam eventually figures out and all hell breaks loose.
"so what? you try to play his games on me too? make me think you're my savior? you really were behind it all this time. you shot me, left me to bled out, and left me for days just for your game? and it didn't even work! does diana know? does allison? you gonna test me again?"
he would probably storm out and just walk around aimlessly before realizing he's literally nothing without lawrence after the trap. (he's alive and nothing).
lawrence would 100% go find him and adam would go back "just because i need somewhere to stay" (he missed him).
adam wouldn't trust him for a while, reasonably so. he had put his entire life in lawrence, for gods sake.
he would come around eventually, but it would take lots of trust rebuilding and a long, long while.
do i think adam would become an apprentice? fuck no. but as long as lawrence was safe and adam wasn't a part of it, i think after a while it would go back to normal-ish.
bonus angst (ooc) points: lawrence exploiting adam's photography for jigsaw without him knowing
i don't agree with adam stanheight becoming an apprentice, I think he'd have a lot of hatred towards kramer and have a lot of trauma from the trap so anything jigsaw related would really piss him off. also if he found out lawrence was an apprentice he'd cut him off immediately and be super upset
doing some research about adam's possible injuries (his arm, shoulder, ankle, immune system, etc.) for an analysis i'll probably post tomorrow. anything i should remember/you guys want included?

I fucking hate all of you
You guys ever feel like Adam Stanheight after he was left in the bathroom after Lawrence promised to go get help and come back. Sitting there chained to the wall with a bullet in his shoulder, knowing that he's dying and that he'll end up like Zepp soon as just a bloody corpse on the floor in the bathroom of the sewers where no one will ever find him. And yet he probably still held out hope that Lawrence would come back with help, because he said he would and just a few hours before Lawrence had told him he wouldn't lie to him.
So he sits there on the floor, bleeding out and waiting for the door to bust open again and holding that hope for as long as possible until eventually his heart stops pumping blood just for it to soak his shirt and his body goes cold and his last words muttered from pale chapped lips that smell like cigarette smoke were probably "He'll come back."
"No matter how many times Lawrence reassured Adam he would come back, Adam knew he wouldn’t. Lawrence seemed to know this too, despite the looming denial in his gut. -adam has a dimple in his chin. (THIS IS CANON LEIGH LITERALLY HAS ONE AND NO ONE ACKNOWLEDGES IT AND IT DRIVES ME INSANE BECAUSE I HAVE ONE AND EVERYONE MAKES FUN OF IT </3) (sorry) (got too excited)

-both lawrence and adam were extremely religous at one point in their life
-the reason adam's dad is so angry in the original script is because he's trans... ties in w the 2001/jesus thing

-adam has three last names (radford-faulkner-stanheight).. was gonna tie this into like his parents divorce or something but i changed my mind
-lawrence started smoking after adam died. not a whole lot. just when he was particularly stressed.
-adam haunts lawrence. if he could talk he would joke that he's his guardian angel
-teenage adam who bleached his hair and had a full 90s grunge teenager phase (i'm talking ear piercing, eyebrow ring, etc)
-diana the type of kid to read her diary to people at sleepovers
-diana would also still sleep with stuffed animals late into her college years
-her and ali would be super afraid of stethoscopes and di probably wouldn't want to go to the doctors office for years
-diana also sleeps with a nightlight
-adam would vape and his favorite flavor would be pina colada
-he's the type of guy to steal his mom's depression pills and either snort it or accidentally od on them (he's fine)
-adam's financial system would make it so he couldn't eat and would end up developing an eating disorder
-larry probably tried to go back for adam but then 9/11 happened and he forgot (then adam died) (this one's a joke)
-adam lived
